Trouble with homepage settings
On my old computer (PC, Windows 7) I had "http://www.hotmail.com" as my homepage. Firefox always remembered by password and when I clicked "home" it put me inside hotmail. I have a new computer (PC, Windows 7) and now if refuses to remember my password and makes me re-enter it every time I launch Firefox. I have made sure that all settings are the same. Any ideas??
Sorry not to be more clear: Firefox always remembered both my user name and password on old computer, but on new computer remembers neither.

Trouble with display settings for projector/Reactable
Hi,
I'm trying to install a musical hardware interface called the Reactable for use with my iMac, and I'm having trouble getting the correct display settings. It's designed to work with laptops and it works fine for the most part with my Apple Hackintosh, but I can't seem to get it working correctly with my iMac. The tech support from the Reactable company recommends that I use 1600x1200 resolution or 1024x768 (native) on the projector, but when I open my display settings I am not presented with either of those options. It only permits me to use 1024x768 and 1024x768 (stretched).
The only instance in which I can get the projection to cover the whole table is with 1024x768, but then the projection is too large. Do I need to change the scaling somehow? How do I do that?

Justin1080p. If you have a Mac Mini with an HDMI connector, connect direct through there.
Otherwise you'll need to look at either: Which Macs don't have audio over mini-Displayport connectivity, need either an
Apogee DVI To HDMI Converter / SPDIF Optical Toslink+Coaxial Input Output if you have a mini-DVI or DVI (The left connector is DVI, and the right connector is mini-DVI) connector and it is Intel.
Kanex iAdapt Displayport adaptor if you have a mini-Displayport ( http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/4/47/Mini_DisplayPort_on_App le_MacBook.jpg/300px-Mini_DisplayPort_on_Apple_MacBook.jpg
) connector.
Note, thunderbolt connectors look the same as mini-Displayport except they have the lightning icon symbol.

I have been trying for days to try and update my payment information on my Apple ID account and trying on my iPad I get no where. I go to ITunes/App Store>View Apple ID>Account Settings>Payment Information. When I select Payment Information I get an 'Account Settings' window that lists 'Payment Type' and 'Payment Method'. The payment method is blank and the payment type shows a red error message that I need to update my payment method and some garbage about PayPal not being accepted which I never had.
I logged into apple.com and went into Manage my Account and updated all payment and billing information. I did have an old credit card with a 2013 expiration that I deleted and updated to a current card.
I re-booted the iPad and I still get the same error message which prevents me from even downloading a free app. This is just getting ridiculous as what should be easy just wastes hours of my time just to try and update my account information. Leave it to Apple to make simple things appear easy and then just be difficult to work with on such a simple thing. Just like smoke and mirrors!
What can I do to get the iPad to recognize the new account settings?

Having trouble with bleed settings
Hello,
I'm trying to make an image a full bleed on an 8.5x11 page. I've got the "Use Document Bleed Settings" checkbox selected in the Bleed and Slug panel of the Marks and Bleeds setting in the PDF export. However, I'm getting this blanking area and then a thin duplication of the image on the verso page. Also, there's a white gutter area. When I deselect the check box, the image seems to look correct on the page. However, I'm concerned that if the checkbox isn't selected, something else might not print properly.
I've also got some images that cross from one page to another. With the box checked, the image doesn't split correctly but there's a small duplication on the other page, suggesting the image won't print up properly. I don't mind that some of the image disappears into the gutter/spine, it's part of the look. But I don't want a white stripe & thin slice or replicated part of the image on the opposing page.
Does anyone have a suggestion of how to handle this properly?

I get the white stripe when I place a full image covering the outer edge bleeds and abuting right against the inner edge or spine. But when I put an image across the spine and onto the other page, I get the slightly duplicated image as can be seen in the animal horn.
When I use Salah Fadlabi's suggestion of unchecking "Use Document Bleed Settings" and then changing the "Inside" bleed to 0in while leaving Top, Bottom and Outside to 0.125in, The image looks correct when I look at a 2-up view, it doesn't get split or have the weird white line.
rajsre's suggestion that when the paper is cut, the repeated image with the animal horn will actually look correct. However, I'm not confident how this will play out, as I get the white stripe in the single-page images. I didn't do any special setup like "space between", as I'm not sure where that setting is. Sorry, I'm still learning. When I Export, I'm not doing anything special. I know a little bit of the image will be eaten by the gutter, especially with the images that go across the pages.
My printer (Ingramspark) has this to say about gutter margin:
• GUTTER MARGIN:
SADDLE STITCH BOOKS: no gutter margin required; items can be taken completely to the bind edge.
PERFECT / CASE LAMINATE / DUST JACKET BOOKS : 0.125" (3 mm) gutter margin (no-ink area) required on the bind side of the interior. These are bound with glue, and the area is designated so it can adhere to all pages (see reference templates for example). Crossover spreads (images/color intended to straddle a spread) may be used as long as the gutter margin is placed in between where the images/color would normally meet.
Blue (Bleed) Area / Overall Document Size
To determine the final bleed size of your page use the following equation:
Final Width = Width of book + 0.125" (3 mm) bleed on trim side. No additional bleed is added to the bind edge. Final Height = Height of book + 0.125" (3 mm) bleed on top + 0.125" (3 mm) bleed on bottom.
For example a 6x9" (229x152mm) book will have a final interior size of 6.125" (156 mm) wide x 9.25" (235 mm) tall.
If using a background color or image please take those elements to the edge of the bleed area.
Pink (Safety) Area
A 0.5" (13 mm) margin is recommended inside the trim for color book interiors. For perfect bound and hardcover titles this is in addition to the required 0.125" (3 mm) gutter margin. All headers, footers, page numbers, body text and all non-bleed images need to remain in those margins. Any elements outside of the safety areas are at risk of being trimmed.
So that would suggest I need a non-colored area on the inside edge of the pages, so the inside edge of the PDF pages should have a white stripe. Am I reading this correctly? I've got my page setup to have a gutter of 0.125in. This white stripe makes sense for the crossover spread, but it doesn't make sense for the image sitting only on one page.
(This paperback book is going to be print perfect bound. I was thinking about making this a hardback book, but I'm looking at cost options - another matter altogether.)

I just updated my iPhone 5 to the new iOS 7 and I love it. The only thing that Im having a problem with is setting a home page photo. When I try to select one of mine to use, it zooms in on the picture when it says move and scale. It wont let me zoom out so it cuts off half of the picture that i want for my background. How do i fix this or am I stuck with it?

JeffWith PrE, the workaround would be to Export your Video as 1920 x 1080, and use such an HD Preset.
PrE has limited Presets, though PrE 9 did add more, and a few enterprising individuals have had pretty good success in writing their own. Programs, like PrPro, have a special Preset, the Desktop Preset, which allows one to adjust most of the parameters of a Project, or Sequence (from CS3 through CS5). That allows one to use non-standard Frame Sizes, etc.

Trouble with Quiz settings/LMS status

I have NEXT buttons on each slide. The buttons are the only
trackable element.
The user must click every slide.
But I have allowed for some flexability. Say there are 8
slides. I set the Pass/Fail options to
5 points or more to pass (Total points: 8)
Report slide views only 75%
Score instead of Precent
Report Complete/Incomplete
only report the score
so. If a user runs through the entire lesson - the status is
showing as complete.
The wierd thing is I am getting an Completed 88% 00:01:08
but it should be 100%. I clicked on every slide and there are
no other elements to track.
so why am I getting 88%?
I would really LOVE any help on this... its driving me nuts

Having trouble with email settings!!
Hello, I want the phone to only check my emails when I want to check the emails! I thought I had changed the appropriate setting to manual but yet I keep getting these long lists of emails on my phone!! I would prefer that I check my emails manually!!! What is the best solution to this minor issue. That I thought I had solved??

I have a Lucid 2 LG. I have been having trouble with insuffient storage. I have a 8G phone and have spent hours with Tier 2 tech trying to move info from the internal storage to the SD card with no luck, When I go to storage in the settings it states that over 4 gigs is for Misc? System data takes up over 4 gigs. No one can tell me what system data consist of. So My question is does anyone know what system data is? I am assuming I have a 8 gigphone but can only use 4 gigs???
System data is the OS or operating system. That is where the recovery stays separated from the rest of the storage so that it doesn't get corrupted. It is not accessible and non-movable.

I have a factory unlocked 4s I'm having trouble with the mms with straight talk I've been useing the sim swap system with tmobile i have put the settings in five times. The setting won't stay it works for a while and then it's gone. I'm not in a good coverage area but when i put the settings in i make sure i'm getting a good signal or near wifi. any suggestions would be great.

I understand you have done all necessary troubleshooting steps that should have enabled you to send messages to iPhone users without them having to disable iMessage. Have you tried contacting Apple Support regarding the inability to send a text message to iPhone users? Apple can be reached at (800) 275-2273.
In addition, do you get a certain error message when your WiFi stops working? Have you verifed that Auto Switch network is disabled? To disable this setting simply to go Settings > Wi-Fi > Tap the Menu Key(to the left of the home button) > Select Advanced and it is called `Auto network switch. I am having trouble with custom color settings. It randomly reverts back to North American General Purpose without warning. This is a big problem for me. My customers (professional photographers) expect consist colors in my printing. Help!
Do you even know how to nuke and re-set Photoshop's preferences, colorplak? Your last post seems to reveal that you don't understand what I'm talking about. Here's a link you can click on:

To re-create the preferences files for Photoshop, start the application while holding down Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS). Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file?"
Note: If this process doesn't work for you while you're using a wireless (bluetooth) keyboard, attach a wired keyboard and retry.
Important: If you re-create the preferences by deleting the Adobe Photoshop CC Settings file, make sure that you only delete that file. If you delete the entire settings folder, you also delete any unsaved actions or presets.
Reinstalling Photoshop does not remove the preferences file. Before reinstalling Photoshop, re-create your preferences.
Note for Photoshop 14.1 and later: If you use Generator and reset your Preferences, Generator is disabled. Choose Preferences > Plug-ins to turn it back on.

Anyone having same issue as mines please help me put. I am having trouble with resetting my ipad mini. I have been having it on reset for 2 hours already and its still on the same spot and not moving anywhere. How long does it usually take to restore settings? And how can i exot put of ot from restoring anymore?
This is how you Reset - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
