Trouble with 'make' file, Oracle pre-compiling

I wasn't sure which category to post this under, so I thought I'd try this one. I have C program with embedded SQL and I've had the same compile and link script for several months. Just a couple of days ago, it suddenly gives me an error:
proc dbms=v6_char iname=pdmp_read.pc
*** Error exit code 127
That's a statement from inside the 'proc.mk' file, getting ready to do the precompile. Apparently it doesn't recognize the 'proc' command; inside the env_precomp.mk file, there's a line 'PROC = proc'. I'm guessing that an environmental variable got messed up somehow, but I'm kind of at a loss right now.

If you open the command prompt and type proc at the prompt, does it run the proc precompiler successfully?
C:\> procCheck your PATH environment variable to make sure it correctly references the $ORACLE_HOME/bin directory and that proc installation has not been removed/deleted.

  • Troubles with xmp files not loading...

I'm having troubles with xmp files not loading with images but are present in the image folders. does anyone know why this is happening and if there is a way to fix this. Also when trying to load the xmp individually they are grayed out and unable to load. I have tried this on different machines (Macs) and still no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated in this issue.

    > The information contained in the XMP file is stored in the DNG file so there is no need for a separate file.
Aww, yuck!! That's a real drag...
When editing lots of files (yesterday's shoot produced 8GB) I back everything up to off-line storage and then, after doing all my edits and crops in ACR, I only have to copy over the small XMP files which takes no time at all.
So if I re-edit the DNG with ACR I have to re-copy ALL the files again to the off-line storage.
I used to sometimes even save 2 versions of the xmp files when I needed 2 different crops of the same images, such as doing a wide screen 'cinema' crop for a corporate client's Intranet presentation of their event, as well as more standard crops to be used for their newsletters.
Guess I won't be using DNG any more..
Thanks for the help Kees :-)

  • Having trouble with wav files and sample rates

Hi ,I am having trouble with wav files and sample rates .I have been sent multiple projects on wav as the main instrumental ; I wish to record in 48.000kHz .Now comes the problem. When I try to change the project to 48k It seems to pitch up the track.I can't have them send the logic/project file as most have outboard synths, different plug ins etc. This particular case the producer has recorded the synth task in 41.000 kHz .My successful outcome would be to be able t create a project file in 48 kHz .And NOT pitch up whne I add the instrumenta wav file .Any help would be gratefully recieved, this is my first post so any mistakes I may have made go easy

You'll have to convert the actual synth audio file file that the producer gave you to 48kHz. You can do this in the audio Bin in Logic.

  • Troubles with .m1v Files

    Hi All
I am having trouble working with .m1v files in Adobe Bridge CS3 2.1.1.9.
I exported the .m1v (video only mpeg files) in Adobe Premiere Pro with the Adobe Media Encoder.
But now, when I try to add metadata to these .m1v files by right clicking on one- the right click menu no longer has file info as an option. And further, under the file menu- file info is grayed out when a .m1v file is selected. I also tried selecting the .m1v file and clicking in the IPTC core dialogue box, but when I do this, Bridge gives me an error box that reads: "This property cannot be modified"
    Any Ideas???

It's simpler to just reinstall the OS, followed by running Software Update. Reinstalling shouldn't take too long and only replaces the system components and the basic Apple apps, leaving all settings and other files alone.

Any suggestions, or is not capable of running on a mac
The web site it comes from is below:
    http://www.kuow.org/swing_years.php

    Hello Frank,
In Firefox, try right-clicking or Control-clicking on the Windows link -- the one below "Available 12:05 a.m. Sunday until the next show" is the one I used. When the contextual menu appears select "Save Link As..." A Save As window should popup with "swingyears.asx" already populated, along with your default Save-to location, which might be the Desktop. Go ahead and hit Save.
You should now see a downloaded 4KB .asx file on your Desktop (or in your default download folder). This file points to the archived stream. Try double clicking on the file to open it using your default application for the .asx file type. If double-clicking on the .asx file fails, try right-clicking or Control-clicking on the file and select Open With > VLC. You can also try right-clicking on it and choose Open With > QuickTime Player and see what happens.
I had no trouble opening the file using QuickTime Player, Windows Media Player, RealPlayer, or VLC. Good luck!

for the line in this build file : %Echo Begining execution of $(_script)
I am using cc for the make file ( cc: Forte Developer 7 C 5.4 ) and the make command
Any help in this regard is appreciated.
    Regards,

    Hi,
I am not able to find error message related to brc.bld. If a test case could be provided, that will be helpful.
Or please try our most recent version Sun Studio 10(Trial Downloads http://www.sun.com/download/products.xml?id=41e70b09) to see whether that fixes the problem.
    Thanks.

  • Oracle 10g express: trouble with control file

    Hallo,
I have just installed Oracle 10g for Linux; my distro is Fedora core 4. After configuring the environment variables, I try to startup the XE database by invoking sqlplus as oraclexe user. The command fails with this error message:
ORA-00205: error in identifying control file, check alert log for more info
The alert log says that the control file control.dbf is missing, and actually it is, along with every data file and log.
Could anyone give me one hint?
    Thanks

  • Trouble with SWF files in Keynote 3

I am working in Keynote for the first time and having trouble bringing in a .swf file. I am having to use a Windows XP box to build the flash file and then moving them over to a Mac to drop into Keynote. I have Keynote 3 and have QuickTime Version 7.0.4 installed. I'm running OS 10.3.9.
When I drop the .swf file onto the slide I am getting a small filmstrip looking icon with a question mark on it. Any ideas on what I have done wrong and need to do?
I have published out with Flash using Flash Player 8, 7, and 6 settings. Nothing works.
second question after I resolve this one is can I make the flash background transparent?
Thank you for any help or assistance.

Actually, some of the newer formats work, but it's hit or miss. I know you have to make sure that you don't havea compress movie checked when you save out as a swf from Flash, that seems to make more of the newer versions work with QT and Keynote.

  • Trouble with properties file (setMnemonic())

I am trying to internationalize my code and I haven't had much trouble except with my JMenuBar. How do you use the setMnemonic(); method correctly so that it loads from the properties file? This is what I have:
            JMB = new JMenuBar();
menuFile = new JMenu(props.getProperty("mystuff.file"));The following will not work.
            menuFile.setMnemonic(props.getProperty("mystuff.F"));

it expects a character,Did you read the API. It says:
This method is now obsolete, please use setMnemonic(int) to set the mnemonic for a button.
but I don't know how to do the syntax to make it a character from the properties file What Object do you get from the Properties file?

  • Trouble with PDF files in CS5

I'm trying to cover up text that i don't want to be seen in a public audience with a white box inside of Indesign. Low and behold, when i make the pdf you can still copy the text that has been covered up. Any ideas what would cause this? The original file is made in Indesign, and exported to a pdf.

    John Mensinger wrote:
Nope. I've been trying for a while now to come up with an ID-applied mask or crop that effectively renders text from a placed PDF inert on re-export.
Can't seem to force it to flatten no matter what. Raster interaction, transparency, blend modes, overprint, etc. all fail.
All attempts were with Acrobat 4 compatibility. All text of the placed PDF survives re-export. You can't see it, but you can select it.
OK, so my last suggestion won't work, either.
Perhaps we should be looking at alternate strategies. Can you palce the PDF twice (or perhaps 4 times) and crop leaving a hole? Are you actually placing a PDF, or could you be using conditional text and turning it off?  Casn you put the text in a non-printing frame? What's the reason for hiding the text?

    Hi Bazookajoe117,
As already suggested by Jacumba your symptoms point to a lack of required codec in your system.
Take a look at below post to find out the commonly used codecs in QT that would allow you to play the files without any issue.

  • Trouble with TestStand running VB DLLs compiles in separate threads

I have an application that uses DLLs written in VB 6 to manipulate hardware. The hardware is Stepper Motors controlled via the NI CAN bus card, and two instruments controlled via the GPIB PCI card. I have written the two DLLs to use the same NI PCI GPIB and the same NI CAN BUS card. (One instrument per DLL and One Motor per DLL)
Test stand is then creating the DLLs and running them in separate threads. I have the one DLL Call in a subsequence running as a separate thread, and the other DLL is in the main sequence. I have a GOTO step with preconditions set so that the main sequence only continues after the separate thread in the subsequence is finished.
The problem I am having is that these D
LLs work OK when I run them both in the VB debugger. The program even works when I run the main thread in the debugger, and the subsequence is run compiled.
The problem is, that if I try to run both of these DLLs compiled It seems as if the subsequence DLL never executes.

    To Tuxamation -
Nothing comes to mind as to why this would happen. VB 6 automation DLLs are used all the time for code modules.
Note that when MSVB debugs a DLL, it is actually running the DLL as an EXE server within the MSVB process and not in TestStand's process that is using it. I typically found that there is typically a subtle difference in behavior between running the server as an EXE or DLL server.
A simple way to determine if the TestStand call is reaching your DLL is to place a MsgBox function call in the DLL entry point and immediately return, ie. bybassing your existing code.
So, if the call is being made to your DLL, you could then enable the Visual Basic project option on the Compile tab, "Create Symbol Debug Info" and recreate your VB DLL.
You can then attach Microsoft Visual Studio (C++ debugger) to the TestStand process, open the file that contains the entry point in to DLL that TestStand calls, set a breakpoint, and see if the breakpoint is reached.

  • Trouble with mpkg files

    Hi,
This is my first question on this forum... My Ibook (G4) running with OS X 10.3.9 doesn't want to open mpkg files anymore, wich makes me unable to install any new software (ILife O6, for example).. Have you ever encountered this problem, and if so, is there an answer to it?... Thank you all very very much!!!

Double clicking won't work unless you mess with the operating system...
    That's rubbish.
If the manifest file has the correct information what class to start (Main-Class:...) and the JRE is properly installed the system will know what to do when someone double-clicks a jar.
It will open the jar try to read the Main-Class section of it and try to start that class.
