Trouble with office VOIP

I have an office VOIP (Taridan) that connects to my office network. I have a static IP address through which I connect to the office VPN. Our IT folks know nothing about Macs. I just switched from a NetGear router to an Airport Extreme. The internet connection works great - both wired and wireless. But I cannot get the VOIP phone to work. The phone uses a wired ethernet connection.
The IT folks have asked me to find out if the Airport Extreme recoginzes the phone, but I am having trouble finding such an identification. Some other posts seem to indicate that wired connections aren't listed anywhere in Airport Utility but that doesn't make sense.
They also discussed port forwarding to the IP address shown for the phone, but I am having trouble identifying the IP address in Airport Utility.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know just enough about networks to be dangerous!

  • Trouble with Office 2013 and KMS activation.

    I have a KMS server running on Server 2008 R2 that was serving out activations for Windows 7 and Office 2010.  I ran the Office 2013 activation
    pack on the KMS server and now it also shows our KMS key for Office 15. I realize that I need a minimum of 5 in the count field in order for activations to happen.
    We use VMware VDI and I spun up a pool of 10 with Office 2013 installed on the master. Before creating the desktop clones, I rearmed the master and then shut it down, snapped it and created the desktop clones. I have logged onto most of the clones
    with a number of different user IDs and when I look at the KMS server it now shows that the count is 9 - so I would assume that my copies are being activated.  However, when I look at Office on the VDI clones or on my own personal computer that has 2013
    installed I see that the product still needs to be activated.  
    Yes we have the VL service record in DNS pointing to the right server - it's been there for ages taking care of Windows and Office 2010.  I did not have this issue with either of the other products and KMS.  I am at a loss as to what
    to do next.

    check the client-side event logs for the SPP events (request/response), is the client (your pc for example), hitting the expected KMShost, and what response resulted?
    Also check the KMShost event logs, is the request from your pc arriving there, and what came in, and went back as a response?

    Did you install the Visio Professional 2010/2013 trial version before even you have removed it? Office trial version cannot coexistent with Office production final release.

    Hi:
    I've been breaking my head on this for a few weeks and nothing seems to be working.
    I have three PIX 515e, one at each office.
    ALL VOIPs are Polycom 300IP phones.
    We have a main office (called PB) with 15 VOIP phones.
    We have a branch office (called JAX) with 2 VOIP phones.
    We have a branch office (called JADE) with 2 VOIP phones.
    All site VOIPs must register with a hosted PBX outside of all three offices (called TN).
    All 15 VOIPs at PB are registering and working with TN.
    Only one of two VOIPs at JAX is registering with TN.
    No VOIPs at JADE are registering with TN.
    VPN Tunnels are up and functioning between PB and JAX and PB and JADE. Able to ping both ways and users in both branch sites are able to map folders to our servers.
    I have opened UDP 5060 (SIP) on all interfaces. It seems there is initial conversation between TN and JAX and JADE but receiving following errors at both branches.
    Pre-allocate SIP for secondary channel blah blah blah and followed immediately with a
    Teardown UDP connection blah blah blah
    I have attached configs for all three PIX 515e boxes (edited for security).
    Could somebody take a gander at this and help me out. I'm at a complete loss.

    I am having trouble making outgoing call or answering incoming call.
    When I try to call out from my IP 7961 phone, it fails with the message "unknown number".
    For incoming call, it rings but when I pick up the call nothing happens,
    Put the receiver back on hook, the phone carries on ringing. I am in UK
    and just trying to set up test system with one analogue line. Any help will

    Hi
    Please find enclosed debug attachment for voice ccapi and ephone. First, I called from outside. Extension 202 rings but when I answered on extension 202 nothing happens. Replace the rceiever and the pone starts ringing again.Second step. I tried to call out by dialing 9 and then number but after a while phone displays unknown number.

  • Trouble with PDF fonts - fields only

    We're having trouble with our PDFs once the data is merged into the PDF template. All of the merged data appears cut in half in the form fields so only the top half of the letters are shown; the rest of the document is fine. We think this could be due to a font issue, but loading different fonts haven't seemed to make any difference. Could this be caused by anything besides the fonts?

    You can (using a pdf writter) create pdf forms where information can be added in to a text field or box. However if you want to edit the content from a pdf file then you could select the text and copy and paste it in to a document like Pages or Word and then re-export when you're finished.
    But I'm affraid you can't edit pdf as such - this is the case on Macs and PCs. If you need to edit documents on different platforms then you'll need to find a common editor. There's Office for Mac (student teacher versions) or you could try OpenOffice Org - it's free, works on both Macs and PCs, and will convert most Word documents provided there's not too many tables or a complex layout format.

    So I am having trouble with editing anything i save on a PDF. I recently saved a research paper in PDF format so it would be compatible at my school where there are microsoft only computers.   • Lots of Trouble with a 1st generation MacBook

    Hi everyone,
    I'm writing for my sister, who's in Thailand having trouble with her MacBook. Hopefully you can help with the information I have. I'm sorry for the long message.
    About a week ago, her 1st generation MacBook (running Leopard), full off the couch. She says it fell maybe a foot and a half and landed on some clothes. She didn't think it was a big deal, but when she opened it again, her desktop image had been changed with the blue Apple default. Nothing else appeared wrong with the desktop icons or anything else.
    Then, she noticed Photoshop wouldn't open, MS Word wouldn't let her type or save, and Safari/Firefox were running super slow. She tried Disk and Permissions verify/repair, and also tried popping out the RAM and putting it back in (in case it had been dislodged). Today, she said that Word either refuses to open or opens but says there is a problem with the Office Database. Safari and Firefox are still running really slow.
    She says she took it to an Apple approved repairshop in Bangkok, where the guys ran MacTuneUp and a permissions repair on Word. At the shop the computer was running fine, but once she got it home, it started acting up again. At times, it'll be running like normal and then revert back to being slow.
    She also said she tried to download a VLC player online the day before the laptop fell. I don't know which one she tried to download.
    Does anybody have any ideas for her to try?

    To anyone who stumbles upon this post, we figured it out.
    All we had to do was empty the cache in Safari and FireFox and it started working fine. We just didn't realize my sister had both browsers open the entire time.

  • My Macbook with 10.6.8 is having trouble with certain applications- Word will not open, and text edit or pdf will not print.

    My Macbook (13 inch 2008) running OS 10.6.8 is having trouble with some applications.  Word will not even open.  I cannot print from text edit or Preview or Adobe.  Excel sometimes opens but very slow.  What could be wrong?  I have repaired permissions, used an antivirus program, deleted some old MS fonts, and still no change.  I have 1 G RAM and there seems to be plenty available and I have 50 G of hard drive space empty.

    Well, first 1gb of Ram is not plenty. It's the absolute bare minimum just to run OS X 10.6.8. The MS Office applications are ram hogs also. I would recommend three things.
    1. Get more ram.
    2. Reinstall and update your MS Office applications.
    3. Reinstall Snow Leopard.

  • Having trouble with Excel

    Having trouble with Excel on my Mac 10.6.8
    Excel is frozen right now so I can not get read the version #, but I think it's 2008. I got the following error message which froze me up.
    Excel can not save autorecover info to mac hd users/documents/data I am running a budget program, that I wrote many moons ago, that has been performing fine for over 20 years. If I can't get out of this freeze. The lost data can be replaced, I suppose, but only at the expense of a bunch of time and I don't want to have to keep doing it, every time it freezes. What might I be doing wrong? Thanks

    Well, now it gets a little more complicated.
    Another thing you should know: Excel 2008 doesn’t support Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), which is the language used to create and record macros in prior versions of Excel. This may apply to you. It's my understanding that VBA is back for Excel 2011. In general, Excel 2011 is superiror to Excel 2008.
    That being said, Office 2008 and Office 2011 can co-exist together.
    My recommendation would be to buy Office 2011 without Outlook (cheaper) and obtain an old copy of Office 2008 and use only the Entourage App. Or, checkout some features/reviews of Oulook 2011 to see if that might be of interest.

  • Problems with Office 2004 on Leopard

    I'm having trouble with Excel 2004 since i upgraded to leopard. Keyboard quits working and then the program crashes. I checked the Microsoft site and they seem to think the problem is with the OS Leopard. Anyone else having issues with Excell or Word?

    Its easy to blame OS X without giving a reason why - in cases like this the easiest thing to do is to lay the blame at the feet of OS X without any substantiation.
    Is your OS fully updated or are are there further updates you can download? There may be, for example a keyboard firmware update you need to install.
    There may also be some updates for Office you can install.
    Also bear in mind that Office 2004 is not Intel native and uses [Rosetta Emulation|http://www.apple.com/rosetta>. Upgrading to Office 2008 may also be worth considering as it is Intel ready.

    1) I am having trouble with an excel file wanting to save when no changes were made.  As soon as you open the file and exit.  It prompts for a save.
    All excel versions are 15.0.4701.1002.
    Using a table.
    the functions CELL, OFFSET, TODAY, INDIRECT, NOW, INFO and RAND are not being used.
    2) Same file.   2nd person is being told they are opening the file as read only - but when they are quitting excel prompts them to save the file. 
    Everything was working fine.  I started having problems with Excel, IT wiped my version out and re-installed office. 
    File is on networked server HP - Windows Server 2012 Essentials.  
    We are all on Windows 8.1 Pro.
    I really hope someone can help - the excel expert had no answer - and passed me along to here.

    I copied the whole file and started deleting worksheets one at a time and testing it by closing it and re-opening it then closing it again – to see if it wanted to save. 
    Once all the pivot tables were deleted – the problem went away. 
    I found that some of the pivot tables had automatic refresh upon open, so this caused the excel to think data had changed. 
    It is fixed now.  By clicking on one cell of the pivot table, analyze, options, data and uncheck the 3<sup>rd</sup> square down to not automatically refresh.  NOT A NETWORK ISSUE.

    We have some trouble with our Installation of BO Edge 3.1, so at first we will tell you which software we have already installed on our System:
    1. Windows Server 2003 x64 Standard Edition on VMWare
    2. BO Edge 3.1 with Tomcat
    3. CrystalReports 2008
    4. Microsoft Office 2003 (Excel only)
    5. Xcelsius 2008
    6. LiveOffice
    7. Java Connector 2.1.8 (We did not find the %/Tomcat55/shared/lib% so we created the shared and lib folders and pasted the dll file)
    8. Integration Kit 3.0 with troubles...
    ...we get the error that the CrystalExtension.dll can't register. To solve the Problem we try to register it manual by regsvr32. But it did not work (Error: LoadLibrary (path...) failed - The specified module could not be found.) In the board we found a notice that we can't use Integration Kit 3.0 with BO Edge 3.1. So we will download Integration Kit 3.1 from sdn but we don't know how we can install a *.war file on our System...
    We can't open the CMC Site, we recieve the following error:
    HTTP Status 404 - /CmcApp/
    type Status report
    message /CmcApp/
    description The requested resource (/CmcApp/) is not available.

    Where is our mistake and how we can solve our problems?
