Troubles Purchasing Online

When I attempt to add an item to my cart on the desktop version (tried Chrome or IE), I get an error "There was a problem adding your product to cart" in a red bar with a white triangle.  I've cleared my cache, logged out and back in and this unfortunately does not fix it.  On the Best Buy app, when I add an item to my cart I get a message "Access Denied".  This has been happening for the last couple of weeks.  Why is this?

I'm disappointed to read that you've encountered issues trying to place your order on BestBuy.com and through the Best Buy app. I very much regret that instead of fun, you've encountered frustration. This certainly wasn't our goal.
To resolve the issue, please follow these steps:
Sign out of your BestBuy.com account and become a guest
After clearing your browser's cache, verify that the cart button (top right corner of the page) says 0 items
Add any item to your cart
Click on the checkout button
On the following page, log into your BestBuy.com account

  • Trouble viewing online videos (streaming issue?)

    Hello. I'm having trouble watching online videos. Video podcasts downloaded in iTunes are fine, but if for instance I want to watch a TV show online or a video clip from a news website, the picture is choppy and the sound breaks up. It's as if it isn't streaming properly (if that is the correct term). I have an original Macbook (2006), OSX10.4.11, 2 GHz Intel, 1 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM if that helps anyone. My husband has the same computer, purchased at the same time, only his was the model with more memory (not sure how much at the moment). His works fine, though.
    Also, not sure if this is related, but my computer has a tendency to spin (or make the noise as if it is spinning) randomly - sometimes for long periods of time.
    Please any advice on how to solve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

    I want to buy a new ipod but i am afraid i will loose the songs i purchased online from apple. does anyone know if it is a way to do it and also to pass all the songs to the new ipod?

    I have 3 different iPods plus I have upgraded a couple of times to new iPods, and I have been able to synch my purchased songs on all of them without any trouble. I am assuming that your songs are on your computer. One caveat--I am a Mac user, but my husband's computer is a Windows XP and he has not had any trouble either when he has upgraded to new iPods. To be on the safe side, I would recommend that you back up your iTunes library before synching the new iPod.

    Unfortunately, this is a problem that is driven by the DRM Dictatorship.  Despite the proliferation of mobile devices and the fact that there are many of us who do a lot of international travel, content providers don't want you to have access to their products outside of your homeland.  The Balkanized mentality of the DRM Dictatorship is way out of touch with the modern world.
    At least Apple, to its credit, allows you to use your accounts outside of your homeland as long as you have the proper credentials for them.  Most other services use the more Draconian geolocation filtering which does require you to be physically present in your homeland.  For the most part, you are not allowed to leave home if you want access to your favorite entertainment!

    and then use the purchased serial number to activate the software.

    as I’m using a Mac so I have download the file with .dmg extension, which is the one that currently doesn’t work.
    I also tried to download the .exe one, but as expected when I double click on it, I have an error message that confirmed Windows is not supported.

    What country are you in ? If you aren't in the US and the address on your account isn't in the US then try going to the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app on your iPad and tap on your account id, tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account, and then select the Country/Region section and select your country.

    One major advantage to purchasing online is that you can forgo the sales tax of your state, which can be pretty hefty depending on the model you purchase. However, one distinct advantage to purchasing at an Apple Store is that you have a local "advocate" in case you have problems with your computer. Yes, any authorized dealer will help you deal with warranty issues (including the Apple Store); however, if you get a lemon, the Apple Store will probably give you a new one and they might be more inclined to help in general. The Apple Store will also take returns (minus a 10% restocking fee). Most mail order places won't take returns on Apple products.
    So, the bottom line is that it might be cheaper to go with an online retailer, you might get better customer service by going with the Apple Store.

    Great, that's what I was looking for.  Thanks for the quick response.  I knew that that feature existed in this router, but I couldn't remember what it was called or where to find it.
    The funny thing is, I recall distinctly setting up the DHCP reservation initially, but when I went to check it now, the reserved client list was empty.  I have no idea how it could have become depopulated, thus opening the door for internal IP address reassignment of the Remote Desktop computer which led to the RDP ports no longer being forwarded to the right internal IP address and thus the failure of the Remote Desktop connectivity.

    if you follow all 7 steps you can directly download a trial here:  Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 Direct Download Links, Premiere too | ProDesignTools
    and activate with your serial number.
    if you have a problem starting the download, you didn't follow all 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies. 
    the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com). 
    failure to obtain that cookie results in an error page being displayed after clicking a link on prodesigntools.com or initiates the download of an incorrect (eg, current) version.
