Trunk-group command under controller T1 in which IOS is available

Hi All,
Quick question, I would like to know if the trunk-group under the controller t1 is available in the 15.T train currently I have the following IOS
152-2T
153-1T
and neither IOS have the command. But in the 15.M train (151-4M) I have it.
Basically what I want to accomplish is to reserve 2 B channels for Emergency calls, something like this:
controller T1 0/0/0
pri-group timeslots 1-24
trunk-group Emergency timeslots 1
trunk-group Standard timeslots 2-24
Thanks in advance
Regards
Carlito

Hi,
The Chris is right, if you did not declare the trunk group before, he'll be available at the interface T1 Pri.
Ex:
trunk group Emergency
hunt-scheme longest-idle both
controller T1 0/0/0
pri-group timeslots 1-24
trunk-group Emergency timeslots 1
Regards.

  • No dialer command under ISDN BRI interface

    Hi all,
    I have a 2901 router voice bundle with 4 ISDN BRI ports and would like to have them bundled under Dialer1 interface. Unfortunately it doesn't give me option for Dialer command under BRI interface as expected.

    I assume it's down to the UC license installed on the device but not sure. Does the ISDN BRI interface behave in different way under this license?

  • Having downloaded update 10.5, the artists section of my iPod no longer recognises artists who feature on compilation albums. Instead it groups them under the album artist, ie various artists. Any suggestions?

    Having downloaded iTunes update 10.5, my iPod no longer recognises in the artists section those artists who feature on various artists' compilation albums. Instead the iPod groups them under various artists, and, if you are looking for a particular artist,who only features on a compilation, you have to remember or search to see which various artist album they feature on - all very frustrating, especially as it worked OK before the update. So far I've not updated any more - so I've not taken 10.5.1 or 10.5.2 because 10.5 caused me so many problems, but I'm wondering if the solution could be in those updates
    I've tried amending the iTunes library artist and album artist, and it is possible to get the iPod to recognise the artists, but the downside is that the library then removes the artist from the album, and you then have to play those tracks individually
    Has anyone suffered the same problem and, if so, has a solution been found?

  • Incorrect ouput of "groups" command

    I setup iDS 5.1 server on Solaris 9 and client on Solaris8. I created one account (user1) and add it on 2 groups, but I could not get right output by running "groups" command, it only was displayed that this account just exist on one group (primary group). Please help, thanks in advance.
    Here is the output on iDS client.
    # cat /etc/nsswitch.conf
    passwd: files ldap
    group: files ldap
    # su - user1
    $ id
    uid=10001(user1) gid=1699(GD699)
    $ groups
    GD699
    # ldaplist -l group GD499
    dn: cn=GD499,ou=group,dc=cig,dc=mcel,dc=mot,dc=com
    gidNumber: 1499
    objectClass: top

    uniqueMember: uid=user2,ou=People, dc=cig,dc=mcel,dc=mot,dc=com
    BTW, another thing strange really confused me, I also installed "ypldapd" (PADL/LDAP gateway )on Solaris 8 client, the output is right if I added "nis" on "group" line in /etc/nsswitch.conf.

    At first I tried to set LC_ALL to ru_RU.UTF-8, but the result of sorting was still wrong.
    The locale settings are in /usr/share/locale/, and /usr/share/locale/ruRU.UTF-8/LCCOLLATE is a symlink to a latin collation, which does not work for cyrllic characters, of course. You can consider this as bug, I guess.
    /usr/share/locale/UTF-8/ does not have LC_COLLATE, so it is equivalent to LC_COLLATE=C, which means sorting strings by considering each string as an array of unsigned bytes, or sorting according to the Unicode code points. This usually gives the correct collation. export LC_ALL=C should have worked as well.
    Setting LC_ALL (or LC_TIME) to ru_RU.UTF-8 has an effect that the date is output in Russian. for example:
    $ export LCALL=ruRU.UTF-8
    $ date
    среда, 17 марта 2010 г. 02:45:07 (JST)
    $ ls -ld /
    drwxrwxr-t 31 root admin 1122 14 ноя 22:24 /
    If you want to keep this behavior, then set only LC_COLLATE to C
    $ export LCALL=ruRU.UTF-8
    $ export LC_COLLATE=C
    or create an alias like
    alias sort='LC_COLLATE=C sort'

  • FXO Trunk Group rings to a busy signal

    I have setup a trunk group for my (4) FXO ports. The ports are all setup with "connection plar 2000" since all calls need to route to a parallel huntgroup of which the pilot is 2000. If I cann one of the POTS lines in the group and do not pick it up, the call goes to a busy signal after about 3 rings. I have final destination set to a script. Not sure on why I am getting the busy signal.
    If stack up the calls on all phones the hunt group, the nex tell will route to the script just fine and not give a busy signal. Not sure if that gives any clues to my issue or not.
    TIA, Jim

    I will give it a try. Not sure what you mean about my english. I did see several typos and meant to say:
    I have setup a trunk group for my (4) FXO ports. The FXO ports are all setup with "connection plar 2000" since all calls need to route to a parallel huntgroup of which the pilot is 2000. If I CALL one of the the lead POTS line and do not pick it up the call on a phone that is in the hunt group, the call goes to a busy signal after about 3 rings. I have huntgroup final destination set to an auto attendant script. Not sure on why I am getting the busy signal.
    If I stack up the calls on all phones the hunt group by calling, answering them, and putting them on hold, the next call beyond the number of phones I ahve in the huntgroup does route to the script just fine and not give a busy signal. Not sure if that gives any clues to my issue or not.

  • Musings: MVC Front Controller/Command and Controller Strategy

    Hi,
    I am currently taking my first shot at implementing the Front Controller pattern, the Command and Controller Strategy flavor, in Java. When applying the pattern, my chosen point of focus is achieving as much isolation as possible of Client-specific implementation details from the rest of the framework (Web-based framework Clients, Swing-based framework Clients, queueing-based framework Clients, etc.) However, I am running into a lot of (apparent?) inconsistencies when it comes to CCS discussions "out there", so I have a feeling that perhaps I have misunderstood the Front Controller/Command and Controller Strategy pattern. Maybe the MVC gurus out there would have some thoughts on the matter.
    My issues:
    1.) Some CCS discussions seem to assign View presentation (sometimes called "dispatch", or "rendering", or "forwarding"?) to an ApplicationController. It seems puzzling to me, since only a concrete FrontController should include any knowledge of a concrete View structure. Shouldn't only a FrontController perform a logical-to-physical resource mapping, thus encapsulating knowledge whether a particular View is a separate, stand-alone Web page or a compound, argument-driven Swing object, and how to "present it" (by either redirecting to a Web page, or bringing a particular Swing object into the foreground)?
    2.) Some CCS discussions seem to introduce Client-specific implementation details at the ApplicationController level, for example "HTTP requests" or "HTTP responses". It seems puzzling to me, since I feel that every part of the framework, except for a concrete FrontController, should be completely independent of the nature of a Client making a request. Instead, I created a generic Request object w/arguments and have a concrete FrontController translate any client-specific details into such a generic Request, before delegating to an ApplicationController.
    3.) In the light of the (2.) above, I am not sure what constitutes a "response" from an ApplicationController back to a FrontController. It seems to me that the only universal "response" is a LogicalViewEnumeration: what View to present once a command has been completed, in many cases a "don't care", or a "show the requestor", or a "show a home page" (not every request has to result in changing a View). Well, perhaps a LogicalViewEnumeration as well as possible View arguments (?).
    4.) In the light of the (3.) above, I suspect that any failures in Request delegation, or Command execution, should be perhaps propagated back to a FrontController by exceptions only, since, say, a WebFrontController might want to show a click-through error page, when a SwingFrontController might prefer to show an error dialog box, a LogicalErrorViewEnumeration might not make sense at all in the context of a particular Client, for example a queueing Client.
    5.) In the light of the (4.) above, there is the question of an appropriate Request interface (into an ApplicationController), an appropriate Response interface (back into a FrontController), as well as an appropriate ViewArguments interface (into a FrontController and later into a View). The problem with generic Requests is that they can be created with nonsensical argument combinations, so shouldn't Requests be abstract and force proper arguments in concrete subclasses, through explicit constructors (in a sense, degenerate Commands)? The problem with Responses and ViewArguments is that... well, I have not found any formal discussion anywhere as to what those should look like. In most samples I have encountered, Responses include Client-specific implementation details, as mentioned in (2.), above.
    6.) Some CCS discussions seem to introduce a Flow Manager at the ApplicationController level. It seems puzzling to me, since the whole point of the Command and Controller Strategy flavor seems to be centralization of business logic execution within self-contained Command objects. Shouldn't Requests get associated with Handlers (objects capable of actually carrying out Requests) and transformed into Commands inside an ApplicationController, thus Commands themselves return appropriate LogicalViewEnumeration back to an ApplicationController, back to a FrontController? Let's consider a ShowMyShippingAddress request coming into the framework: unless such a Request is eventually treated as a Command returning a particular LogicalViewEnumeration, it is suddenly a Flow Manager "acting" as a business logic driver. I guess the question here is: except for a few special cases handled by a particular ApplicationController (authentication, error conditions, default behavior, etc.), should flow management be considered stand-alone, or always delegated to Commands?
    7.) Some CCS discussions seem to include an extra Request argument that specifies an ApplicationController to use (Request.Action="create", Request.Controller="account", Request.Username="me-me-me"), instead of using a Router inside of a FrontController to resolve to a particular ApplicationController through a generic action (Request.Action="createAccount", Request.Username="me-me-me"). I am not sure about the reason for such a design decision: why should a Client or a FrontController be allowed to concern itself with an implementation-level structure of the framework? Wouldn't any framework state -dependent ApplicationController resolution issues be best handled inside a Router, used by a FrontController to resolve [obtain] an appropriate ApplicationController, thus preventing Clients from ever forcing the framework into a possibly inconsistent behavior?
    Any comments appreciated...
    Thanks,
    Gary

The former is (normally) intimately tied to the actual view being used (HTTP, Swing, etc.) whereas the ApplicationController typically is not. Both are involved in dispatch and event processing. The former normally renders a view whereas the latter does not.

However, you can become generic to the point where your Request and Response interfaces are only acting as "marker" interfaces (think of java.io.Serializable). Writing a truly generic controller is possible, but personally, I have never found the effort justified.

Well, perhaps a LogicalViewEnumeration as well as possible View arguments (?).A given service (if you ascribe to SOA) should be the fundamental unit in your architectural design. A good application controller would be responsible for determining how to dispatch a given Command. Whether a Command pattern is used or whether service methods are invoked directly from your FrontController, the ApplicationController should enforce common service aspects. These include authentication, authorization, auditing, orchestration, validation, logging, error handling, just to name a few.
    The ApplicationController should ideally offload these aspects from a given service. The service would indicate how the aspects are to be applied (e.g., strong authentication required, x role required, fetching of existing process state, etc.) This allows services to be developed more quickly and to have these critical aforementioned aspects developed and tested centrally.
    Your FrontController, in contrast, is responsible for transforming whatever input it is designed to receive (HTTP form data posts, XML-RPC, etc.) and ensure that it honors the contract(s) that the ApplicationController establishes. There are no cut-and-dry decisions though about when a given piece of functionality should be ApplicationController or FrontController. Take error handling. Should I emit just a generic ServiceException or allow the FrontController to decide what to do with a more concrete checked exception? (The FrontController, in any case, should present the error to the user in a manner dictated by the protocol it serves).

Yes. However, the ApplicationController could easily 'hide' details about the failure. For example, any number of exceptions being mapped to a generic DataAccessException or even more abstractly to a ServiceFailureException. The ApplicationController could indicate whether the failure was recoverable and/or populate information necessary to speed up production support (e.g., mapping exceptions to error codes and/or providing a primary key in an error audit log table for support to reference). A given FrontController would present that information to the user in the method that makes sense (e.g., error dialog for Swing, error page for HTML, etc.)

Nothing, however, stops you from requiring a certain sub-type in a given service method. You can still pass in the interface and validate the proper type by an assert statement (after all, in the vast majority of situations, the proper service method should get the proper instance of a given Request object). IMO, the FrontController would create the Command instance which would be passed to the ApplicationController which would dispatch and invoke the proper service method. A model response would be received by the FrontController which would then render the appropriate view.

The ApplicationController should receive a Command (with a populate Request) and return that Command (with a populated Response). Both the Request and Response are fundamentally model classes (within MVC). The FrontController is responsible for populating the Request and/or Command and rendering the Response and/or Command. Generic error handling is usually centralized for both controllers.

Wouldn't any framework state -dependent ApplicationController resolution issues be best handled inside a Router, used by a FrontController to resolve [obtain] an appropriate ApplicationController, thus preventing Clients from ever forcing the framework into a possibly inconsistent behavior?I am not 100% sure of what you are getting at here. However, it seems to be the method by which commands are dispatched. They are in effect allowing a FrontController to dictate which of n ApplicationControllers should receive the request. If we allow a FrontController to directly invoke a service method, then the ApplicationController is simply a centralized framework that should always be invoked for each service method (enforced via AOP or some other mechanism). If there is a single, concrete ApplicationController which handles dispatch, then all FrontControllers communicate directly with that instance. It is really just a design decision (probably based on your comfort level with concepts like AOP that allow the ApplicationController to exist solely behind the scenes).
    I might have totally missed your questions, but those are my thoughts on a Monday. Best of luck.

  • Can not delete the ip igmp join-group command on NX2Ks.

    Hi,
    I have 1 NX5K & 1 NX2K (FEX) and configured PIM on them -Release 5.2(1)N1(1).
    I configured on the NX2K's ports the ip igmp join-group command to statically bind a multicast group to an interface. The multicast PIM works fine but when I try to remove the ip igmp join-group command on any interface because not all should have this command, I cannot.
    I have not found any  bug on the 5.2(1)N1(1) version related to this behavior and the released notes not mentioned anything about this.
    Any ideas...!?
    -Sergio

    Hello Sergio
    FEX ports are meant to be L2 ports only and hence you should not be allowed to configure "ip igmp join-group" but looks like we do allow it which is a bug.. I will see if there is one filed for it and if not file a new one.
    Thanks

  • Commands under "menu'

    Hi
    I add 4 commands to my canvas: Exit, Command1, Command2, Command3.
    It shows on the cellular Menu, Command1 and Exit. Under Menu I have Command2 and Command3.
    I want that only Menu and Exit will be on cellular screen and all Command1-3 will be under Menu. How can I do it?
    Thanks.

    Many(all?) Nokia phones will put your commands under 'Options' if you use generic Midp1.0 code, regardless of the priorities and types of the Command's.
    The way around this is to use the Nokia specific libraries for full-screen and draw your own command labels. This way you can control exactly what is visible. What you do is include nokiaui.zip (find on nokia developer site somewhere) in your build path, and extend the FullCanvas class instead of using a normal Canvas. This will get you full-screen on even Midp1.0 Nokia devices.
    The FullCanvas class has constants KEY_SOFTKEY1, and KEY_SOFTKEY2 that represent the Canvas.getGameAction(int keyCode) of the left and right soft-key's, so you can tell which corner key was pressed.
    I hope this helps, I remember going through this problem when I released my first game a couple years back, and the distributor told me that the commands were stacking under 'Options' for nokia's.

  • How to put individual FXO trunk into a trunk group

    I have a 3725 with 2 vic2-4fxo cards configured as H.323 in ccm 4.0.2a. Currently I have to configure 8 pots dial peers to point to each fxo port for outbound call. I would like to find out if there is a way set up like a trunk group for fxo that way I just need one pots dial peer and point it to the trunk group instead of 8 seperate dial peers pointing to each port. Kinda like route group and route list in ccm.
    Can someone help ?
    Thanks in advance !!!

  • Missing setipmm command under listenerconfig

    Team,
    I have been trying to test the mail merge feature on test environment and somehow I can not find a way to execute setipmm command on CLI. As per the user guide 8-5-6, Use the setipmm subcommand of listerconfig to enable the IPMM on the listener.
    When I execute listerconfig command I see 4 options 1) NEW 2) EDIT 3) SETUP 4) DELETE and cli won't allow to execute setipmm command under any sub options. Any clue as to what am I missing?

  • Multiple Music Videos Grouped Together Under "Unkown Album"

    I recently upgraded to iTunes 8.0.1 (this bug might have existed in 8.0.0 but I only noticed it now).
    Some of the music videos I have purchased off the iTunes Store are now grouped together under Unknown Album. This only happened for some of the videos I have purchased. There is nothing written under the albums line when I click get info. It only says Unknown Album in grid view, but they are under the same album artwork in Cover Flow.
    Here is a screen shot of how it looks in grid view. The "album" with multiple videos is on the left, next to two music videos displayed properly:
    Here is what it looks like in cover flow:
    The next two are the setting under get info.
    Thank You To Anyone Who Can Help!

    It isn't a perfect world. Make something up that is meaningful to you to help keep things neat if that is what you are looking for.
    I let iTunes do the work and have the 'keep' and 'copy' features enabled in iTunes prefs>Advanced. To keep my stuff simple I have created my own compilation albums and label them as compilations. 80's, 90's etc. as there are to many one-hit-wonders to let them loose all over the place. So by creating compilations I keep things together.
    You could apply the same idea to the videos. Call the Album 'My Music Video's' and label them all with that and select the compilation option and they will all be in one place.
