Trying to assign multiple category sets to an item

Trying to assign multiple category sets to an item-- i created a new category set and went to set it as the default set for Order Management. Receiving this error:
category set is defined with Multiple Category Assignment flag set to yes. Order Managment functional area can be assigned only category sets having Multiple Category Assignment flag set to No.
Is this a setting that I can change??

If the item is in transit, I'm not certain there is a way that you can do this. It will be delivered to the person at address that is on the postage label. If there is Signature Confirmation selected on the parcel, it might be held somewhere until you pick it up, though. Since you are registered to ebay in Australia, it might be best if you contact Australia Post with this question. We can only answer with our experience in dealing with Canada Post and the couriers here. And do be sure to update your addresses with both ebay and paypal to prevent this from happening in future. How to assign multiple categories to a webapp item that is populated from a frontend form?

We have a webpage with a form that allow users to populate a webapp, but we also need that the user can assign multiple categories to the webapp item that is going to insert.
The support forum told us that it is not possible to assign categories from the frontend, but only from the admin area.
Is there any workaround to this issue? We do not want the users to access to the admin area because we need them to populate the webapp only from the web form.

How to assign new categories and category set to existing Items

Hello,
This is on r12.06
We have around 9000 items in MTL_SYSTEM_ITEMS_B and now we have created a new category and category sets in Oracle inventory categories windows.
Is there any standard/seeded API, concurrent program that assigns these new categories to items in item master?

You can load records into the mtl_item_categories_interface and run the "Item Category Assignment Open Interface" concurrent program.
OR you can use the INV_ITEM_CATEGORY_PUB.Create_Category api.

Then you will have to create a when-validate-item trigger with a cursor based on your selection of your LOV . Loop through that cursor assigning the next in the next record by using the built-in function next_record. (put you selection for you value in a hidden item for example.

How do you assign a category to an FAQ item

It looks like there is supposed to be support for assigning categories to FAQs.
In the form there is a selection for it and there is also a tag that says it is for category classification.
But I can not find the place to set the category in the form where I create FAQ's.
I can not find the field in the form:

Hi,
Go to FAQs -> action -> classify this item
Once opened select "manage categories"
This will take you to the categories section where you can edit accordingly. You can also go directly to the section via site settings -> categories.

Assign multiple users to a single role?

I have a process where I need to assign multiple users to a given role. In this case, I want one of the users to 'win', and take ownership of the process step. (Imagine the situation where one user is the primary processor, the other is a backup; if the primary is out of the office, i want the secondary to have the ability to pick up the request).
I've tried to assign multiple users to the same process role as follows:
rtm.addRuntimeDefinedUserToRole(prInstance, roleName, user, userContext );
but the process is only assigned to a single user - from my testing, it seems to be assigned to the first user specified using the above api call.
Is there a way to do this programatically?

I am using Visual composer as my UI. But with looks like i am not able to pass a structure from VC so i can map it to "Assign Users to Process role" CO.
Per my understanding I need to write a program using GPI API which populates the User_List structure of the above CO. But after that i am not sure how to use this CO. Can anyone give me detailed instructions on how to use the "Assign Users to Process role" CO to assign multiple users to the role dynamicallly?

Assign multiple relationships at once

Hi everyone...I am working in Primavera P6 Project Management Release: 7.0 Service Pack 3 (Build #: 00033036)
When trying to assign multiple relationships at once, my computer will not allow me to capture multiple activities that have been assigned as either a predecessor or successor. I can highlight them, but when I click the assign button they all briefly flash as being captured then the assignment only shows the first activity in my complete schedule?
I am able to log into a co-workers machine with my credentials and perform this task, but not on my machine. Do you have any suggestions?

I assume this is all in the same project? It sounds like your project profile security settings could be different than your co-workers. I would see if there is a conflict between your settings from the admin perspective.
Check these two lines in project security profile.
Edit Project Activity
Relationships
Create, edit, and delete a project’s activity
relationships.
Add/Edit Project
Activities Except
Relationships
Create and edit a project’s activity information, except
activity relationships. To edit activity IDs, a user must

Unable to assign multiple company code to a controlling area in PPOME

In PPOME I was trying to assign multiple company codes under 1 controlling area in account assignment. e.g. ABC is the company, its 2 company codes, ABC1 and ABC2.
In PPOME when I am assigning the root org unit (ABC) with controlling area ABC1 and company code ABC1, it hierarchially inherits the below structure.
Whereas when I want to change the company code for ABC2 orgunit, it doesnot give the provision to change. It hierarchially inherits the root org unit structure.
I have tried to differentiate it by creating different costcentres for different companycodes, but that also doesnot help to fulfill the need.
Please help me to solve the issue as early as possible.

The same function can be handled from PPOME also, because in case of assignment of enterprise structure components with org structure components we use IT 1008.
However, if yours process is followed, then also I am unable to change the COMPANY CODE. Rest can be well taken care of.

Multiple free goods for one item in standalone CRM

Hi Gurus,
We are trying to implement multiple free goods for one item in standalone CRM.
As per SAP.help.com, it says that we can configure multiple free goods scenario in standalone CRM system.
We tried to set up this in our system. Basically we want to implement the scenario, where a user wants to purchase item A, he should get a prompt for choosing between two free goods B and C.
We did the relevant IMG settings required for Free goods at IMG ->CRM -> Basic Functions -> Free Goods.-> Set up Free Goods
We also did the relevant item category determination where we have made an entry with
Item Usage = " Free Goods" , Main item cat. = "TAN' , Item Category = "TANN".
Now we went to create condition records in the path "SAP Menu -> Master Data -> Prices and Conditions -> SAPCND/GCM - Maintain condition"
We chose Application ="PRT", MaintenanceGrp="PRT_FGOODS", Maintenance context ="GCM"
Then while creating conditon records , when I try to create two condition records where the Main Product is same but free good product is different, the system is not allowing to save these two condition records.
it is giving error "Overlapping validity periods for two condition records".
Please advice, if i am missing something. Thanks in advance for your help.

Constraints in free goods in R3 taken from SAP library
Free goods can only be supported on a 1:1 ratio. This means that an order item can lead to a free goods item. Agreements in the following form are not supported: u2018With material 1, material 2 and material 3 are free of chargeu2018 or u2018If material 1 and material 2 are ordered at the same time, then material 3 is free of chargeu2018.
Free goods are not supported in combinations with material structures (for example, product selection, BOM, variants with BOM explosion).
Free goods are only supported for sales orders with document category C (for example, not quotations).
Free goods are not supported for deliveries without reference to a sales order.
Free goods cannot be used in make-to-order production, third-party order processing and scheduling agreements.
If you defined a free goods for variants in a generic article (only SAP Retail), you can only process the variants in the purchase order and goods receipt individually (as single articles). In other words, you cannot process them using the generic article matrix.
This answers your qn Not possible in R3
If you are on Retail scenario this is possible thro bonus buy schemes
But a lot of customizations needs to be done and you need a retail server to do that

One attribute assigned to Multiple Attribute Sets

Hello There,
I have created general attributes like Firs_Name (Character - 40), Last_Name (Character - 40) & Age (Numeric - 3) and assigned them to Multiple Attribute sets like Family_Info1, Family_Info2 & Family_Info3.
Then i have assigned the above mentioned 3 Attribute sets to a BP.
The problem is, when i maintain the info in Family_Info1 for First_Name, Last_Name & Age, system is updating the Family_Info2 & Family_Info 3 with the sames values and if i maintain the Family_Info2 with a different Value, the Family_Info1 is overwritten with Values from Family_Info2.
Pls advise, if this is the standard SAP behavior and i should create different Attributes for different Attribute Sets (Like First_Name1 for Family_Info1 & First_Name2 for Family_Info2 etc) OR, it could be a SAP Bug or i need to do some config to fix this issue.

This is the standard behaviour and you can create different attributes and assign them to these different attribute sets to avoid this.

What is Your ASA Code running on your ASA appliance , From ASA code 8.3 you can have global access rule .

Global access rules were introduced.
The following command was modified: access-group.
Interface access rules are bound to any interface at the time of their creation. Without binding them to an interface, you can not create them. This differs from the Command Line example. With CLI, you first create the access list with the access listcommand, and then bind this access list to an interface with the access-group command. ASDM 6.3 and later, the access list is created and bound to an interface as a single task. This applies to the traffic flowing through that specific interface only.
Global access rules are not bound to any interface. They can be configured through the ACL Manager tab in the ASDM and are applied to the global ingress traffic. They are implemented when there is a match based on the source, the destination, and the protocol type. These rules are not replicated on each interface, so they save memory space.
When both these rules are to be implemented, interface access rules normally takes the precedence over the global access rules.

Assign Multiple Sales Org for One Plant in STO process

Hi Experts,
Aware that I can assign multiple sales org to 1 plant (relationship: many to many).
I am trying to create STOs to supplying plant and assigning them to different sales organization but encountered problem.
Example:
Supplying Plant 1000 - Sales Org 1000A (food) and 1000B (apparel)
Receiving Plant 1100
Plant 1100 wants to issue 2 STOs to Plant 1000 - 1 for each Sales Org (for instance STO1 to food division, and STO2 for apparel division).
However, when I tried creating STO in the system, noticed that in the shipping tab (item details) the sales org, DC has been assigned to 1 particular assignment and data is locked.
Tried to get into SPRO to configure and define the shipping data for plants but noticed that it's 1 to 1 relationship (SPRO - IMG - MM - PO - Set up Stock Transport Order - Define Shipping Data).
How can this be done?

You can set different sales areas (~sales organisation) for one plant in SAP - based on issuing SLoc provided STO between storage locations is activated.
SPRO > Materials Management > Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up Stock Transport Order > Set Up Stock Transfer Between Storage Locations > Define Shipping Data for Stock Transfers Between Storage Locations

Assigning multiple ports/interfaces to a VLAN-Switch-IOS

I am trying to assign ports/Interfaces to VLAN 2 but need to assign the whole blade or many ports on two or three blades to VLAN 2. Switch CAT 4500 running Cisco IOS - I can only do one port/interface at a time:
Switch-4500(config)# interface fastEthernet 0/2
Switch-4500(config-if)# switchport access VLAN 2
vlan Set VLAN when interface is in access mode
So this way, as explained above one port at a time gets assigned to a VLAN. I need to do multiple ports. how can I do this if possible at all.

Thanks for getting back to me. You know, I have taken over this network just recently and have realized that the company that was taking care of this network had done this way:
1 main subnet (Uers, Servres,WS, ect)- VLAN2
1 Development Subnet - VLAN 3 - still active but not in use
So all of my switches, i.e. two CAT 4006, Two CAT 3560, and one New 4500 (just purchased) all on VLAN 2. the main CAT switch has VLAN 3 information since the DEV subnet connects to it as well.
Now , I am trying to create 4 or 5 functional VLANS for my main network (currently has all my switches and Three Routers in it and VLAN 2).
2 CAT 4006 switch
1 CAT 4500 Switch
2 CAT 3560
1 CAT 3550
2 CAT 2948-G-TX
2 Border or Gateway Routers Cisco 2621
1 gateway Router 2621 (Connects this office to a remote extention to this office using a point to point T1 and at th eother end - Private IP, connects to Internet Via an ISP).
My two border Router - public IP and connects two T1a, one prim and the other one shadow.
I guess my question is:
what would be the best way to create VLAN 2,3,4,5,6
using the above switches and routers and have Intervlan communications through Truncking and management through VTP or else.
I want to create VLANs in such a way that if a user belong to VLAN2 seats at 12 flr and another user belong to this same VLAN 2 seats at 14 floor makes no difference, so independent of users location - how do I do the port assignment on the switches to do this? No resource or network file resource segmentation needed sonce all users wil acess same information.
