Trying to convert a logo in Word to PDF

using adobe 9 standard. converting a word.doc to pdf. the text converts fine but the logo/graphic element at the top of the page does not. it just leaves a blank spot on the converted pdf where the graphic should be.

Hi Tod,
What works on my machine is this:
The "dates" in column A are text.
The formula in column B, filled down through rest of the column:
=RIGHT("0"&MONTH(A),2)&RIGHT("0"&DAY(A),2)
Then you can sort on column B.

I tried to convert a text to word and it failed to convert

    Hi mel2365,
I'm happy to help in any way that I can. If you'd like me to help figure out why that file didn't convert, I'd be happy to. But, if you just want to cancel, I can do that too.
Please let me know how you'd like to proceed.

  • I am trying to convert a Microsoft Publisher Document to PDF but it fails every time although the reason is not clear. Any ideas?

I am trying to convert a Microsoft Publisher Document to PDF but it fails every time although the reason is not clear. Anyone else had problems like this and how do I solve it? Thanks. Ray

    Hi raythree,
I'm sorry that your PDF conversion is working. Can you please tell me if you're getting a specific error message? Knowing that can help pinpoint the cause of the conversion failure. However, here are a couple of things that you could try:
Clear your browser cache (steps to do this vary by browser).
If you're using a work computer, check with your IT team to confirm if you have firewall/proxy settings that restrict the ability to upload files to the Internet.
Try another web browser.  A list of supported browsers for accessing the ExportPDF service is available here: http://www.adobe.com/acom/systemreqs/.
Also, note that there is a 100MB file size limit, so if your publisher file is larger than that, it won't upload to ExportPDF.
I hope this helps. But let us know if you need further assistance.
    Best,
    Sara

  • If you need to send more than one document via email to a recipient with a PC, how do you convert them to a Word or PDF before sending them in one email?

When trying to send an email to a PC user and need to send multiple documents, in the old version of iPages, you could save the document as a Word or PDF file then attach them to the email.  I don't see how to do this with the new version.  Therefore, the only way I can see to accomplish this task is to go to each document and send them individually in another version.  Otherwise, the PC user will not be able to view the documents - correct.  There must be a way to convert and save the documents like before so numerous documents can be sent at once.  Please help!

What fruhulda said. In addition, in the Mail composition window, I recommend that you select the paperclip icon from the Toolbar, and enable Send Windows-Friendly Attachments.
You can also select multiple files in the Finder and drag them onto the composition window. In my experience, the documents resist an iconic state, so right-click on just one, and choose View as Icon from the contextual menu. This will transform all attached documents into icons.
If you want to send just one document from within Pages v5, use the Share icon in the Toolbar and select Send a Copy > Email. You can then choose PDF (and its image quality), or Word (.docx default, or .doc) document formats that will be attached as an icon in a new pop-up Email composition window.

  • Acrobat Pro XI . converting of excel and word to pdf

After installing Acrobat Pro XI two days ago, the conversions of excel and word to pdf are less than optimal.  Poor fonts, color and sometimes blurry.

That's very kind of you Bill.
Since my last forum post I have uninstalled Acrobat Pro, - with its updates - and reinstalled the original from disk. The conversion from Word 2007 to PDF is working fine. And that was where I was prepared to leave it. Of course any updates would not be possible.
However, since you have offered to help, I'd be most grateful of any assistance.
To answer your question, the usual way I create PDF files from Word is from within the open Word program. From there I can simply 'Save As' to PDF format.
That's the way MS says to do it. Is there another way? The updates stop this working. The process begins but then stops part way through and dies. No pdf file is created.
I'm not familiar with the print to file option. I had a look at print options from within Word but no mention of any PDF Maker although Adobe PDF is listed as a printer. However, if I try to print to Adobe PDF I get an error saying there is an error in the printer setup.
    With thanks
    Robert

  • I am trying to convert a file to word and I keep getting "raffle ticket.pdfConversion Failure"   can you help me?

Conversion Failure"  what am I doing worng??

    Hi sharonm37841720,
I don't think you're doing anything wrong. Are you able to convert other PDF files without error? How large is this particular file? Are you converting via Adobe Reader or the the ExportPDF web interface?
For starters, please clear the browser cache, and log in to https://cloud.acrobat.com. Make sure that you're using a supported web browser (see System Requirements | Adobe Acrobat Pro and Online Services) and that there aren't any proxy or firewall settings that are restricting your access to the Internet.
Please let us know how it goes.
    Best,

  • Error message when trying to convert powerpoint presentation to Adobe Acrobat PDF

When trying to create an Adobe Acrobat PDF file from Powerpoint (save as Adobe PDF from the Print menu), Automator gives the following error message: "an error occurred while saving the PDF file". Currently using version 14.4.6 of Microsoft Powerpoint for Mac, 11.0.09 Adobe Acrobat and OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 on iMac. Also had the same problem previously with Mavericks and Mountain Lion. The problem seems to be the Apple Automator not working correctly with the Acrobat interface. I create Acrobat PDF docs perfectly well on my MacBook Pro (OS X 10.7.5) and am scared to update to the latest version of OS X in case that also affects the ability to create PDFs.
I have tried using Apple's own PDF creator, and doing this by first creating PS files then converting to PDF, however, many bugs appear in the files, and they are enormous - around 5x the size of Acrobat PDFs, so this is not an option. I have also tried troubleshooting with Adobe to no avail.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks,
    Jane

    Hi star2111,
Please tell us a bit more about the error message that you're receiving, and where you're seeing it (in Adobe Reader, or the ExportPDF website?). It will also be helpful to know whether the error occur when just one file, or with any file that you try to convert.
I look forward to hearing back from you.
    Best,
    Sara

  • Can Adobe Acrobat 9.0 Pro Convert File Hyperlink From Word to PDF?

Is there any method to convert file link (eg. C:\Documents and Settings\xxx\My Documents\xx.xls) from Word 2000? I have read many related issues, but seems cannot get the final answer. Many of them only mention about URL hyperlink (eg. www.yahoo.com). Can anyone help?

Do you mean that  Office XP and later version can automatically convert the file link? No need to manually create the link in Acrobat using the link tool?
I will work this out to see whether ok or not.
By the way, thank you, Michael Kazlow.

  • Converting image links from Word to PDF

If I insert a picture into a Word file (Insert/Picture From File), select the picture and Insert/Hyperlink and then Convert to Adobe PDF, the hyperlink is still active in the pdf file as expected (Add Links is checked in the conversion settings).
However, if I do the same but apply any layout options to the picture before attaching the hyperlink (e.g. Format Picture/Layout/Square text wrapping), Convert to PDF does not convert the link into the pdf file and the image appears as if no link had ever been set.
Does anybody know of a solution to this problem?  Or is Acrobat 9 any better?  I am curently using Word 2000 and Acrobat 6 running on XP

    Thanks for the reply.
I have already inserted the links within the pdf, so I do have a working document.  It is only a draft, though, and any subsequent editing requires going back to the original Word document, editing and converting again to pdf and then re-establishing the links - with over 30 images (linked to pre-exixting pdf documents) this last step is both tedious and error-prone!  Thanks for the warning re Acrobat 9 and Word 2000.  I had been thinking of upgrading ...

  • I have an emergency- Trying to convert a PSB file to a PDF files size is 3.58 GB - Please help

I have a few files that I need to make ASAP into banners that are 19ft x 15ft and many other sizes.  I can only change into a RAW photoshop or a tiff.  I tried saving into a tiff then converting but nothing is working.
I was also going to try to convert into a AI program then into a vector but with no luck.  Anyone can please help Thank you

I may not quite follow. But then you don’t really provide a lot of onformation about the file in question.
Even if Photoshop should not allow forsaving a pdf if you can save a tiff you should be able load that into a layout application and export/save a odf from there.

  • I just converted a document from Word to PDF and the URL links don't work. How can the links to work?

Anyone know how to get the links to work in a PDF that was converted from Word?

  • Como convertir un documento en WORD a PDF

Me gustaría saber que hago para convertir mi TESIS DE GRADUACION en WORD a PDF

Have Acrobat XI and Microsoft Word (a current - not old - version) installed.
Open PDF file with Acrobat XI.
    Use the click-path:
File - Save As Other - Microsoft Word - select "Word Document" or "Word 97 - 2003 Document".
Acrobat XI will export the PDF page content to an MS Word file.
If the PDF is a well-formed Tagged PDF (complies with ISO 14289-1, PDF/UA-1) the export will be satisfactory to excellent.
If the PDF is not a well-formed Tagged PDF then you will have to do "clean up" of the Word file.
Maybe a small amount; maybe a large amount.
    OR
Subscribe to Adobe's online service "ExportPDF".
This service an export PDF page content to an MS Word file.
Expect to do clean up of the Word file.
    OR
    Print the PDF to paper.
Using the paper copy create a blank MS Word file and transcribe the information.
    Be well...
