Trying to getting a window asking me to accept the download but does not offer me a location option to save the file, after accepting the dialogue box dissappears and no thing shows up??

hi all, on my first iphone, trying to download itunes through mozilla firefox, to windows xp, but no success, a dialogue box appears after selecting "download" but it only ask me to accept the exe file, it does not give me the option to select a location to save to. When i accept, the dialogue box dissappears and thats it, nothing, any ideas???????????

I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

I followed all the instructions on the suggested page. Many files in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\ and C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\ could not be deleted. Message said ""Cannot delete files: It is being used by another person or program"' but could not find iPodService.exe in task manager (also, the "Cannont delete ... " did not mention iPodService.exe).
Deleted all that I could. Reinstalled iTunes. Still same result. iTunes and computer both recognize my old iPod. Only the computer recognizes iPod Touch.

Have you plugged in your iPhone to the computer? In iTunes > File > Devices you should be able to "Transfer Purchases."
In iTunes > Store have you authorised the computer?

If you dont have none option then you must own itunes some money. So you have to enter the payment like a itunes giftcard. you can contact itunes by email by going to expresslane.apple.com

I've been working on this all day!!! I've tried everything I know of and can't get it to load either. Sounds like lots of people are having problems. Here is what I have so far...I have uninstalled EVERYTHING on my pc from apple and reinstalled itunes to no avail. I have tried all sorts of things I've read as fixes online. NOTHING has worked. Yesterday I installed itunes for the first time on my new netbook which is a 64 bit (windows 7) system and it works just fine. i have three other laptops (all window 7) in my household that are all 64 bit operating systems and ALL have updated to 10.5 and THEY ALL work fine. this is FOUR 64 bit systems ALL updated w/10.5 that work and ONE that is a 32 bit that will not. Can't get any help from apple. their suppot *****! I want to get someone on the **** phone or a live chat but cant. *** APPLE????? please let mw know if you find SOMETHING i can try next. It's all about setting up what ever version of windows you have running on your pc to share the printer. If you still get stuck post in a windows forum for help.

The good thing about mac-centric resellers such as OWC, is they have people on staff that can answer questions without you buying things first. They also have how-to information, and instructions are included in many of their products. I saw a link to watch a DIY video in one of their pages; an example of a RAID (with its own power supply) is shown on their drives page. Also a few in there, with no power supplies, for less money.

Some ideas on the RAID backup methods appear in google search, some of the pages are ideas and concepts; and the better ones also warn about using RAID for the only backup plan.
Oh, OWC has live chat. Haven't tried it, nor have I bought anything from them. I have what appears to be two products from them, but have not used either. One is in a box as-new, but has only USB2.0 ports & my Macs needed FW400/800. It has been said their RAM is a good way to upgrade, too. But I can't confirm!
A 'RAID-ready' unit for backup may be more versatile for just that, but I have not checked into these details. I use single HDDs in powered enclosures, and usually manually make backup clones to FW drives, of bootable OS X systems. Some of the OWC raid-ready use eSATA ports so that may not be viable for a computer without them.
The unused in-box external drive I have is like the base model in the link above. However mine is USB2.0 (maybe) and won't boot my older Macs due to hardware variance; and my preference would be for FireWire options, these models do offer that. But the one I have does not. Dual 500GB HDDs, and they could be used in tandem as a RAID. That would be a choice set up in software. I'm not sure and not interested enough to read up just now.
My backup method is not automatic, or a moving backup plan, if I don't get a move-on and make full system clones. I do make copies of photos and documents the manual way, to USB external drives; and occasionally backup to DVD or CD media. And USB flash, that helps to move files between computers without need to use file sharing via wi-fi. {Like Why fly? Walking is better exercise unless one is a bird. Squawk!}

Depending on the ports in your Mac, you may be able to use other cables to attach between a backup or externally enclosed hard disk drive with multiple partition and bootable clone in one of them. Not sure about the Thunderbolt, and where that is the main port, adapters are required to access other devices, as allowed.
Anyway, I am going on and on, yet not really saying anything.
My ideas would not be all that interesting to follow as a backup
plan when matching available newer hardware to task, but you
can get some into better ideas if you are not in a rush. Get a
good setup and then look into more an betterer stuff.

Open Activity Monitor and look for the program. Select it and Quit or Force quit it from within Acitiviy Monitor.
Search for the application with Find Any File as it can search areas that Spotlight can't, like invisible folders, system folders and packages. You can drag the app and any associated files from the search result window to the Trash bin in the Dock.

Perhaps you have made one column extra wide and the window isn't currently showing the Name column. Try resizing columns, turning off those that you don't need, or scrolling sideways.

Are you sure u have the option on the up-right side of the arrange window checked to x-fade?

Where can i download quicktime 7.5.5? A compatibility version gets downloaded but its not what I need. Im unable to open my ITUNES without the quicktime 7.5.5 upgrade or higher. Anything higher isnt supported by my mac ( OS X 10.5)

10.9.4 Mail activity shows incoming mail downloading but does not put in mailbox

Been testing all day with no results.
The hosting company says there is no problem at there end. All mail can be found the their webMail.
iMac Mail connection doctors show all good connections.
Mail activity shows incoming mail downloading but does not put in mailbox, they simply disappear.
Still searching for a fix for this serious issue.
Any ideas or a proven solution is most welcome.

Try rebuilding the mailbox. This can take awhile if you have a lot of mail.

Windows 10 downloads but does not install...

windows 10 downloads but does not install on my Stream 13-c010nr (OS 8.1). Says I need 5 GB more before it can install. Should I factory reset? Any suggestions?

If you can run the recovery, it should free up enough space although in this thread, it did not. It might also help to download the Windows 10 ISO file and run it from a USB. You do not have to run any updates to Windows 8.1 if you do that, you can upgrade right after restoring to the factory configuration.
