I just got a new IMac, and tried to download files from my old PC. When I go to,Finder, I have 1500 files under Developer, an 78 files under Other.
Most of these files I do not recognize. Can they be trashed? Why did they transfer? I used a flash drive for the transfer. Also, is there a way to transfer my older email files to this new computer?

TomDid you use the Migration Assistant to help set up the new iMac using some of the files in the older PC? Some likely won't mean much, unless you have applications that can use or convert them. There's also a way to use the software Time Machine to import data files from an external or another computer, so you may have used that, too.
Hopefully someone with experience in a similar issue will reply...

I have a DVD Acrobat Pro 9. I upgraded laptops and trying to install but the DVD is not readable. How can I get a new DVD or Download Acrobat Pro 1. The product is registered and I have the serial number. PS: Contacting Adobe on this issue is impossible... direct support stinks.
Download AA 9 Pro from http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html. Make a new backup for your archive. You might also take the DVD to your library to see if it is a drive problem. You might also carefully clean the DVD with water and soap (do not use anything that would scratch the surface or you have destroyed it for sure) and see if that solves the problem. This is particularly an issue if you have finger prints or other crud on the DVD. However, it could also be a bad drive as I mentioned. Hopefully the download solves your problem in any case (I would backup the download to CD and/or backup HD).

I currently have a MackBook with Photoshop CS6 installed. This came with the laptop when I bought it on eBay, therefore, I don't have the serial number for the software. Can I still transfer the Photoshop CS6 from this laptop onto a new one?

Whoever sold you the laptop should have removed the software first, or gone through the proper process to transfer the license to you. Chances are that they used it to obtain an upgrade, in which case it would not even to eligible to be transferred. -

Serial numnbers are platform specific so you will not be able to use it for the Mac if it was initially designated for a PC. YOu will need to perform a platform swap. See the following for information:

I bought a license for Lr a few years back and installed it on a mac laptop. I want to move that license to my new iMac and remove it from my old laptop. How?
I downloaded Lr on the new iMac but there does not seem to be a way of "registering" the software to give it functionality.

I have a new mac and wanted to bring over my Design suite CS 4. I downloaded photoshop but it says "Setup" can't be opened because it is from an unidentfied developer. Anyway to install this? I have the serial number for my orginal CS4 design suite.

If you have the suite then you have to download the whole suite otherwise the Serial Number will not work, if you only download Photoshop. Once you download the suite you can choose to only install Photoshop and use the Serial number you have.

I have transferred Aperture 3 from an old Imac to a new. Now I´m requested to put in the serial number for v2, which I upgraded from several years ago. I can`t find it, but have the serial number for the upgrade. What to do? Can I find the original serial number in my old Imac?

I am unable to reinstall Photoshop CS6 (I do have the serial number) on my Macbook Pro 10.9.5 (Mavericks os). and am getting the message "Installation on case-sensitive volumes is not supported. Please choose a different volume for installation." I am further told that "Adobe apps cannot be installed on case-sensitive drives, you need to Install the product onto an HFS+ or HFSJ non-case-sensitive drive."
What I don't understand is this: I originally bought and installed Photoshop CS6 back in March 2013, and it worked fine. Yesterday my hard drive had to be replaced and my computer person salvaged as much of what was on it as he could, but now I have to reinstall Photoshop. 1) Why did it work before and it's not working now? 2) Is there anything I can do that does not involve reformatting the hard drive?It means what it says. The "computer person" formatted it wrongly/ unsuitably. it needs to be formatted again.

so my iphone 5 kept crashing and i brought it to the apple store and got a new replacement phone. Unfortunately for me the next day it got stolen, i have the find my iphone app but it says my device is offline so i cant track it nor can i wipe the contents. I have blocked my sim, but someone told me that i could get the product itself blocked so that the horrible theif cannot use it at all.
