TS1424 I have repeatedly reinstalled the iTunes software on my PC, but I keep getting an inproperly installed notice, that also says I won't be able to burn or import the files. I'm at a loss, help??
I have uninstalled and reinstalled 4 times now and the music that was purchased is "dead in the water" unless I can move it into my PC library. I'm following all the install prompts, but I keep getting the improperly installed warning. I'm not the most tech savvy so if you know that answer, please tell me like you would Forest Gump, thanks!!

Could you post your diagnostics for us please?
In iTunes, go "Help > Run Diagnostics". Uncheck the boxes other than DVD/CD tests, as per the following screenshot:
... and click "Next".
When you get through to the final screen:
... click the "Copy to Clipboard" button and paste the diagnostics into a reply here.

I have tried to download 2 movies onto my iPad but I keep getting a download error message. What do I do now? I have already tried turning the iPad off and on again…still nothing.
Try closing iTunes and reset your iPad. After the iPad starts up, try the download again.
To close an app, drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the iTunes app then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
How do you export your movie using idvd? I keep getting error messages and notices that I do not have enough space to transfer to a dvd.

I have unistalled iTunes and all the other apple componants. I also used followed this http://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3581. But I am still getting the same "Could not open key:" error and it tells me that iTunes could not download.
On occasion, when changing ownership or permissions has no effect on the UNKNOWN\Components\ error, the fixit from the following Microsoft document sometimes works:

I'm not sure if it charged when I hooked it up to my roommate's computer, but it definately didn't register either. If I put it on the dock it plays so the port is fine, but that still doesn't help me sync it to my computer. -
I was trying to sync my Ipod and kept getting a error message saying that I could'nt because the file could not be found. so I went to Itunes Support And was instructed to reinstall Itunes, and I followed the installation instructions. Well then I got another error message saying Itunesmsi can not be found. So if anyone knows where I would find the installation Package no my computer.
Thanks
Signed FrustraedCould any of the music have been sourced on an external USB drive or a network drive? In iTunes, go to one of the songs that won't sync. Bring up the info page, and look at the location of that song on the disk. Does that file and path exist? That could be your problem, especially if they were on a USB drive you forgot about.

I have downloaded songs from iTunes to my iPad/iPhone but they keep being removed and delete
im using my iPad and iPhone on iOS8, and I am update to date, I have songs on iTunes that I have downloaded to both devices but for some reason they keep getting removed and I have to download again, any ideas....?
AlecIf you are now in the US then you can only use the US store, so you should update the address on your account
Changing country : Change the country of your iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, and Mac App Store account.
Had you copied the songs over to your computer's iTunes library, do they show in the Music section on it ? You can copy purchases that you still have on your iPad over to your computer's iTunes library via the File > Devices > Transfer Purchases menu option -
I was trying to do the latest update on my desktop for my Itunes. I got MSVCR80.dll is missing. I saw a post about deleting all the apple itunes programs, restarting and reinstalling. I tried that. As it was installing a message came up about "Service'Apple Mobile Device' failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start systems services. I did a retry, got the same message, then hit ignore. It went on. Then a message popped up saying "Itunes not installed correctly" Error 7 (Windows error 126)
Now my Itunes program will not open at all. What gives? This is very frustrating and I am not very computer literate to begin with.Hi Iss9243,

I have erased everything buit that didn't work, I have tried to reinstall from the apple disk so...I am thinking it is time for a new hard drive( I think, but not sure) where do I get one and if I sdo will it help the problem?
Thanks
sssail3 at aol dot comDid you try zeroing the Drve before installing?
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the Erase tab.
4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
6. Highlight the drive, select Partition Tab, then Format type... MacOS Extended Journalled, select the Security Options button, choose Zero Out Data, Erase... after completion hopefully you'll be able to install.

My computer is saying it can't find the file 'iTunes64.msi' when I try to update or redownload iTunes how do I fix this? I've tried just about everything I can think of. I am using a dell laptop running windows 7 and have tried changing the file location to run the update in all of my iTunes files as well as when I've tried reinstalling it.
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

Hi
Can anyone help? I am trying to connect my sons iPod to burn some music to it but I keep getting a message pop up stating that this version of iTunes is not compatible with this iPod and I need to remove my version of iTunes and install the 64-bit version. I have done this twice now, both times using the 64-bit download from Apple's download page, but the same message appears and the iPod is not recognized.
If anyone knows where I am going wrong I would be grateful for your advice.
Ta.Hi Tintin01,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If you're being repeatedly prompted to install the 64-bit version of iTunes, I'd suggest first completely uninstalling iTunes and all its related components using the steps found here:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
Once you've uninstalled iTunes and its components, install the latest version of iTunes found here:
iTunes 11.0.4 for Windows 64

hi dera i have a problem whit itunes is not opening.
whil i am trying to open it nothing happens.
i also removed sc info files still i have the same problem
i any one know to how plz..........You can try mp3val, that might fix them up.
Alternatively, if the files are in a standard <Artist>\<Album>\## <Name> layout then turn off Copy to iTunes Media folder when adding to library and use my script TagFromFilename to fill in the missing information.
iTunes often has an issue handling files with multiple tags. These may be introduced by other software such as Windows Media Player, Winamp, or MediaMonkey. Files may have both ID3v1 and ID3v2.x tags, and if I read the ID3 specification correctly, there is also support for multiple ID3v2.x tags each coded for a different language. When there are multiple tags iTunes behaviour can sometimes be unpredictable. In some cases edits to the metadata can be written to one tag, and visible in Windows Explorer, but iTunes insists on reading back unchanged values from the other. In such cases you can use Convert ID3 Tag > None several times followed by Convert ID3 Tag > v2.3 and whatever iTunes knows about the file will be written back to a clean tag. Embedded artwork is erased so needs to be reattached. Using my script CreateFolderArt before and then after the tag conversions is one way to workaround that part of the problem.
Also of note is that certain pre-defined genres are represented by a code number rather than text so that they can be presented in the local system language. There is always a possibility that Windows and iTunes have slightly different values in the look-up tables for some of these.
