I am having trouble getting through to anyone to dispute a charge on my credit card.

You can try explaining the issue to Apple here > Apple - Support - iTunes Store - Contact Us but keep in mind, you are responsible for your iTunes account purchases.

I sign up with Verizon on 08/04/2014 new plan new phones switched carries. It has been A nightmare. First I purchased one plan with two phones. They set up two accounts charging me for both on two different account numbers. On August 11th I was told it was fixed by a local Verizon REP. Said it was a computer glitch. Now . Today I received two more bills , still two account and they even contain extra charges as if I was moving my telephones back and forth. Excessive over billing and still two account. When into store where I purchased because they knew I had this problem. They has me call customer service from the store telephone. After 1 hour on the phone with a rude person, the rep. at the store and me both talked to her. She started saying your phone is breaking up hello are your still there. I was on a land line then she put me on hold until I finally hung up. about 20 minutes. because I was already late going back to work. I have spent hours trying to get this fixed and now I have had the service for 30 days so I can not cancel. Does anyone know where to go for some help.

File a complaint they will call you.
Or take them to court for the over billing and your loss time from work to file and go to small claims court. Include the filing fee.
Either way bring all your paperwork to have the judge look at.

Bootcamp - Seems there is no Support from Microsoft for Windows 8.1, once it is loaded.
I Just got off the Microsoft Technical Help line (Australia ph132058) and they refused to help me because I am running Win 8.1 in Bootcamp.
I have the latest Mac Book Pro Retina with a 1TB Solid State Hard drive running Win 8.1, beautiful machine, but its slower than my old MBP running windows 7 on a standard Drive.
The niggiling problem is that it seems to hang up for seven or 8 seconds on menial tasks........ like generating a new Folder or Note etc. Otherwise it runs reasonably well but not blindingly fast....
I wasn't aware Microsoft refused to help win 8.1 users on the Mac Platform........ shouldn't this Information be made more public...! Seems they are keen to drive potential Windows users away!!
Any suggestions on where I should go for help on this (Windows/Bootcamp in General) would be much appreciated ? ........ don't mind paying a reasonable price if the service is good......
I guess the wheel has turned and Microsoft are having a go at Apple again...?

I was thinking along the same lines. I installed Win 8.0 Pro and upgraded to 8.1 ........ probably a bad move.
I have bought a new 8.1 Licence but cant risk doing a complete reinstall until I have a back up machine ready. (My old MBP is getting a new hard drive) ......... so will give that a go in about a weeks time when the back up is in place. Cant risk having nothing!
When you say "Clean Install" ..... do you mean everything ..... as in Reformat the Bootcamp sector and start from scratch.?
I have a 2 TB LaCie Thunderbolt drive with my back up data on ..... is there a way to make the Reinstall process and large amount of Data transfer easy?
The reinstall is something I need to read up on. I was hoping the solution might be some kind of Tune up on the SSHD.
Good to hear you have a number of MBP's that are flying, I would be disappointed if the final quality wasnt a bit better.
..... do you have any tips on screen Res on the Retina ..... I am running Windows at 125% Zoom, but the Bluetooth, power, wireless, Date Icons etc are all still tiny ...... could really do with an alternative to the old "Advanced Appearance Settings"

If the code you are trying to enter has letters then you are not looking at a serial number. A serial number only contains numbers - 6 sets of 4 numbers.
Find your serial number quickly
You might be dealing with a redemption code. This is especially so if you purchased it from a store or the like.

[HELP] When compiling and running, two consoles appear!

When I compile and run a program, 2 consoles show up.. This wasn't happening before. I'm confused.
After around 15 seconds, the lower window closes and the program starts.

I have never reproduced this. Please try to clean & build a master application that runs and positions your test application.
I doubt that you may process start cmd window before you run this console app. Please try and to see if it exists.

Got mis-charged where do you apply for refund?

I was downloading a free Starbucks pick of the week and did something wrong and ended up with 2 copies of the same song and charged for one of them. When I look at my purchase history both copies of the same song were downloaded within a minute of each other so it's obvious that it's a mistake on my part. There's no point in having the same digital song twice when it was free to begin with.
So on my email receipt there's a link for "Report a Problem" which takes me to my purchase history with nowhere to write about the problem, just a listing of my purchases and a "Done" button.
Anyone know where I'd go to get my money back?

Where do i go for help.

I have a computer that I am absolutely unhappy with. The "free" ($10) disc is scratched and won't load.
I have had nothing but issues with this computer since I bought it. The store will only work on it if they have it for 10 days...at least.
I JUST BOUGHT IT; it cost me $3,000. I feel completely ripped-off. Where do I go?

Stop ranting here. It's not going to get your unit fixed any faster. Apple does not read these forums and call people. I had a MacBook that was sent in three times for repair. Apple ended up giving me a new unit. You have to be PATIENT and they will work with you to get everything resolved. But, ranting here, or with them over the phone, won't get you anywhere.

Hiring Mangers - Where do you look for candidates?

I inherited an open Programmer/Analyst position and am looking to fill it. Besides Spiceworks ($100/60 days is cheap) where have Hiring Managers had good luck filling entry to mid-level programmer/analyst positions?

Where should one ask for help with a thread ???

Having posted a link to this thread because the op needed someone to check a site in Panther.... and because not so long ago I read here that this was the place to ask for such help.....
I now find the my request has been removed... musta offended the tou of course.
Sooo - how should a person try to get help with a thread in future? - we ain't all l4's and have a lounge to play in.

Interesting question. This forum was available for this type of request at certain points in Discussions' history, and it has often been recommended that users post issues like yours here.
Technically, as per the red print at the top of this forum, it is inappropriate to use this forum for that purpose. In the case you cite, I'd recommend putting a new topic in to the Safari forum with a specific request for the help that is required in the Subject line. If you do it that way, you will most likely reach more users who will be able to help you.

Where do YOU go for stock video?

I have just been told that I am going to spend the first six months of 2011 making videos for unknown bands! Woo-hoo! Just started shooting groups on our green screen set last week….which I have done very little of in the past. I’m using the ultra keyer in Premiere CS5 and it has worked great so far.
I am now responsible for procuring 1080p stock footage to throw behind these groups. Most of them need to appear on a realistic stage.
I’ve been Googling to find stuff so far, but I’m guessing my process could be refined by some folks who have actually done this before. So, if anyone has any suggestions (other than shooting my own as that is not a possibility) I would appreciate it.
If I am TOTALLY in the wrong forum I REALLY apologize.

Thanks very much for the reply Chuck. I was looking at the POND 5 site just last night and you are right, they have some stuff I plan to buy (curtains opening and closing plus some screaming fans.) I guess it is just the way I work, but I would really like to be able to plop a video behind my band and see if it LOOKS right. I can't afford to buy everything (even if it is only $35 a pop) just to find out that it doesn't work visually.
