TS1717 My iPhone cannot access the "Updates", neither can my pc.
The iPhone shows a white screen. The pc shows a "accessing iTunes store" I have only tried restarting both devices
The pc shows a "accessing iTunes store"
With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:
Apple software on Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store
(If there's a SpeedBit LSP showing up in Autoruns, it's usually best to just uninstall your SpeedBit Video Accelerator.)

Apple Applications cannot Access the Internet, Others can
I've owned my MacBook for about 1.5 years now and it's starting to have some stability issues. Daily hard-locks are becoming the norm. I suspect hard drive issues may be to blame. I have repaired permissions and verified and repaired the disk. That seemed to help for a little while, but this latest problem is throwing me for a loop...
Apple applications cannot access the Internet. Apple Mail (RSS, POP, ad IMAP), Safari, iTunes (PodCasts, iTunes Store), and Software Update all time out while trying to contact servers. Firefox, OpenVPN, command line SSH, ping, etc, all have no problems.
My next step is a reformat, but this week is a really inconvenient time for me to do a backup and restore and I'd love a quick-fix if there is one. Any suggestions? Thanks. I just realized that is was serious user error. I forgot I had enabled Socks proxy in Internet connections a couple of days ago and that my Mac apps would still be using that while my other apps would not. Thanks!

I cannot access the itunes store. When I click on store I get the iTunes 10 (free download) page. It won't go away or allow me to search. I can play music in my library. How do I fix this?
Try this,
Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now. -
I can't access the audio memo apps but i can see under usage - manage storage that all the files are located in icloud. how to extract .wav files from icloud if the apps is no longer responding to fileshare in itunes? Thanks.
yes it was solved some time ago. i cant remember exactly but i think i disconnected from the internet and tried accessing the audio apps (or maybe i had accessed the apps first then only turned off internet i cant remember) thereafter the files were in my local apps and then I turned off use icloud. i suggest you backup your ipad on itunes before trying anything. All the best - hope you solve your problem.

iPhone 4
You can't clear them from where?
If it's under your purchases on either the itunes store or the app store, you can't. those are there for good.
If you mean closing them out, double-tap home screen then close the apps. For ios 7 it's swiping up the windows. If it's ios6, hold down until it jiggles then tap on the little x on the corner to close them out. -
My laptop joins the network I created and connects to the internet via my Airport Extreme but for some reason my iPad and iPhone cannot access the internet even through they have joined the network. What's gone wrong?

You can also check the following:
* Your modem and/or router are both on and are not indicating errors. The problem may be with your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Contact your ISP for more information.
* If you are using a wireless connection, that you are using the correct access point.
* Your Domain Name System (DNS) server translates web addresses (URLs) into IP addresses and is usually provided by your ISP. If the DNS server is overloaded, you may be unable to view some or all websites. For example, if http://74.125.53.99 or http://74.125.159.105 work but http://www.google.com doesn't, you may have a DNS problem. You can use an alternative service such as OpenDNS (http://www.opendns.com/) or Google Public DNS (http://code.google.com/speed/public-dns/).
* Whether your Internet security software (including firewalls, antivirus programs, anti-spyware programs, and more) is blocking connections to the Internet. For instructions on how to configure some programs, see the Firewalls article (https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Firewalls).

I cannot access the iTunes store from any of my computers. When I updated to v. 10.7 it made my laptop unable to access just like with my two desktops. I have installed and uninstalled numerous times.
Nothing happens. iTunes just hangs up every time, saying "Accessing iTunes Store." It does that for a very, very long time, then nothing. Here is what happens when I run diagnostics.

I have updated itunes and after updating itunes I cannot access the istore through itunes. Additionally, my Iphone 4 will not back up. When I tunes is running my compter CPU usage is operating at 100% and I've never had this problem before. HELP!
Sounds like you should reinstall itunes, i'd follow one of these, whichever is most appropriate to get it done properly because on windows there is more than just itunes that needs taken off and reinstalled.
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1925 for windows xp
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1923 for windows vista/7
as long as you follow these it won't mess with your content as its saved in a different location. -
I recently changed my Apple ID. When I try to make changes to my iCloud account on my Mac., I cannot access the account via System Preferences. I've changed the password once already. My iPhone's iCloud account is fine. At this point my iCloud account no longer is working with my Mac. Does anybody have any suggestions?
I finally figured out the answer to my own question. I created a new iCloud account on my Mac. Problem solved!

After a recent iTunes update attempt iTunes no longer functions and the airport extreme base station is not accessable on our computer. We still have wifi but cannot access the base station software.
Thanks for the reply. I appreciate the response. I tried that approach this evening and it didn't work for me. (Technically it worked for me, when I was hardwired into my base station, but would not work for me wirelessly, which is my main issue.)
Again, using the approach you recommended works only if I have my ethernet cable attached to the LAN port so my computer is communicating directly to the base station through the hard wire. I am able to scan for my base station and make setting adjustments normally this way too.
As soon as I disconnect from the LAN port and try to go wireless is where I run into problems. The Base Station's wireless network I created is available to choose in the top right corner of the monitor with all of the other available wireless devices/networks -- but the network I created does not have access to the internet. I am also unable to configure my Base Station wirelessly. When my Airport Utility tries to scan for the Base Station and Network, it cannot find any Apple Wireless Device. It's like the Wireless Network in my base station is not sending out a signal.
Is there a way to resolve this issue? -
IPhone no longer syncs with computer--"Cannot access the iTunes store"
My iPhone 2G has decided to no longer sync with my iTunes. I do not have internet on my computer (I'm doing this on a friend's), so when I connect my iPhone to my computer, an error message pops up that says "Cannot access the iTunes store". Since my iPhone is normally synced manually, I can still drag new files onto it; however, any movies/podcasts on the iPhone keep reappearing even after I've deleted them (from the iPhone itself). Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
Delete then re-install iTunes & Delete the following files:
The iTunes application (located in /Applications)
com.apple.iTunes.plist (from ~/Library/Preferences)
iTunes.pkg (from /Library/Receipts)
iTunesX.pkg (from /Library/Receipts)
then re-download the latest version of iTunes. -

Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year. Then see if you can connect to the store.

Have 3 sites on line and need to update them but each time i click on the site icon it opens always the same one... and i cannot access the other 2....
In Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
To open your domain file in Lion or to switch between multiple domain files Cyclosaurus has provided us with the following script that you can make into an Applescript application with Script Editor. Open Script Editor, copy and paste the script below into Script Editor's window and save as an application.
do shell script "/usr/bin/defaults write com.apple.iWeb iWebDefaultsDocumentPath -boolean no"delay 1
tell application "iWeb" to activate
Just launch the application, find and select the domain file you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.
You can download an already compiled version with this link: iWeb Switch Domain.
WARNING: iWeb Switch Domain will overwrite an existing Domain.sites2 file if you select to create a new domain in the same folder. So rename your domain files once they've been created to something other than the default name.
