Just to confirm on the screen of the iPhone do you see the itunes symbol with a cable pointing up to it?. If you do then your iPhone is inrecovery mode and would require you to restore it.
Now first you want to make sure iTunes is up to date and the cable you are using is not damaged. You also want to make sure iTunes is up to date.

In terms of the iPhone 3G that is definitely not able to update to iOS 7. Only the iPhone 4 and larter can update to iOS 7. -
The Apple drivers that are downloaded for my HP printers do not allow me to modify the settings as I could when I was running a pc. Is there someway to get a printer driver that will permit full access to printer settings?
Perhaps you don't have the correct driver selected.
Try to Add it again, but instead of Auto-Select, choose Select Printer Software, then make sure you have the correct printer selected.
If the driver you have says "Gutenprint" then that isn't the HP driver and might not have all the features.
If you have the correct driver, the only thing you can do is contact HP and ask them to add the features. -

After being on hold forever and then told it would cost me $30 for apple to troubleshoot, the lady at apple told me that since there are so many people trying to download itunes 7, the server is jammed up and to keep trying. so, i did. After about 10 attempts it downloaded successfully.So keep trying or try late at night when so many people aren't clogging up apple's server. Hope this helps.

In most cases, doing a Restore in iTunes does the job. That Reset Utility was released, because in a very small percentage of cases, the standard Restore in iTunes did not do the job for 1st and 2nd gen iPod shuffles. NOTE: Later shuffle models did not use this utility at all.
So, you shouldn't use that utility, unless doing a Restore in iTunes (from the iPod's Settings tab) did not work, OR the shuffle is seen by Windows, but not by iTunes (so you can't do a Restore). Is this your situation? -
Where is the download for the update to LR v 5.7?
My LR v5.7 tells me there is an update available. When I click on the 'download' link provided it takes me to the CC Sales page. Everything with Adobe these days goes only to the CC sales pages. Talk about being bludgeoned. As a LR and Photoshop user form their first days I really feel my loyalty being tested. Real help is no longer available unless you go to CC.

You need to install it first of course. Run the *.exe file for the extractor, then follow the steps through the setup.
