TS3989 How to Order Photos in Photo Stream?

Dear all,
I would like to share my photos with my Apple TV and when I place images into my Album  I reorder those photos, however, when I upload to Photo Stream the photos pull from the original file name and order accourding to those names. Can we change the lable on the photo (i.e. photo001 photo002 photo003...) to display in the order we wish?
Thanks in advance for the help

There's no way to order the photos in the stream.

Stay forever and don't count towards your iCloud storage use.

  • How to open Photo Stream in Windows

I took a bunch of pictures and video on my iPhone 3Gs (5.0) and don't know how to open Photo Stream on my PC (Win 7). I can see a folder in my pictures library, but I can open the ithmb files. Thank You.

That would be a question for the iCloud forum - iPhoto does not run on a PC

  • How quickly does photo stream sync for you?

how quickly does photo stream sync for you?

I have seen some posts floating about here complaining that photos don't or at least don't immediately sync to all devices. I think a small number of these people may not realise that syncing requires wifi and not 3G, one must also remember this community is like a doctors surgery, it is where people come if they have aches and pains.

  • TS3989 how to copy photos on camera roll to photo stream?

I am trying to copy some photos that only appear in my camera roll and not in photo stream how do I do this?

The only way to transfer photos back to a computer that were synced to your phone from a computer is to use an app like PhotoSync, which can transfer photos from any album on your phone over your wifi.  (They cannot be imported using your usb cable, which only imports camera roll photos, nor can they be saved to the camera roll so the could be imported using your usb cable.)

  • TS3989 how to delete photo from photo stream

how can i delete photos on photo stream on my i phone

How do I delete photos from my Photo Stream?
You can delete photos from your Photo Stream the same way you delete other photos from your device. Just select the photo you want to remove and tap or click Delete. When you delete a photo from Photo Stream on one device, iCloud will automatically delete it from the Photo Stream album or view on your other devices.
Note: Deleting individual photos from Photo Stream is supported by iOS 5.1 or later, iPhoto 9.2.2 or later, Aperture 3.2.3 or later, and Apple TV Software Update 5.0 or later. You will need to manually delete photos you downloaded to iOS devices running iOS 5.0.1 or earlier after updating to iOS 5.1.

  • How to Manage Photo Stream & Apple TV

Hi! I have apple TV, and I love that I can use pics from Photo stream as a screen saver. I just can't figure out how to make Apple TV draw the pics from the photo stream folder on my computer instead of the photo stream folder on my iphone. Any help is appreciated!

Any idea to get Aperture accepting the photo stream coming from 2 Apple IDs?
IOS 7 supports writing of persons with different AppleIDs to the same  shared photo stream.
And I expect that iPhoto and Aperture will soon support this too.
From the IOS ipad user guide: http://manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1595/en_US/ipad_user_guide.pdf
Share streams of photos and videos with people you choose. Friends you’ve chosen who have an iCloud account—and iOS 6 or later or OS X Mountain Lion or later—can join your stream, view the photos you add, and leave comments. If they have iOS 7, they can add their own photos and videos to the stream. You can also publish your stream to a website for anyone to view.

You are posting in the "icloud on my mac" forum, but your profile mentions Windows.  If using a mac, you need to have iphoto or aperture installed in order to receive new photos via photo stream.  If using windows, try posting in the iCloud on a PC forum.  You'll get better help there.

  • TS3989 Where are my photo stream pictures?

I had to remove and reinstall icloud on my iphone.  Photo stream only downloaded 37 of the 301 photos I have in it.  How do I get the rest to download?
    Thank you

Thank you. I did not know this, and neither apparently did the Genius and the Helper I delt with today at the Apple Store.  I am older and wiser.

  • TS3989 'Options' button for Photo Stream doesn't work?

When I go to Photo Stream, it says I'm not signed in. The resolution says to select Photo Stream and click Options, but nothing happens when I do so. Why won't the Options button work and what can I do?

I followed your advise, but it doesn't work. Photos made with iPad works now (after putting all photo stream on and off), but iPhone 4 is not photostreaming at all (also not after redoing what you advised), also iPad photo does not appear on iPhone 4.
Strange is that i see two icloud photostream albums in Photo application (both (staying) empty). I can imagine there is a conflict with the two icloud accounts (i first used apple id for  buying in itunes (hoped to merge) and than rethought and activated icloud (mobileMe) account instead. Could that be the problem? And how to get rid of that (restarting iPhone didn't work, a reset I am not fond of, nore a restore.
    Who knows the answer?

  • TS3989 Question on iPhone photo stream.

I just enabled Photo Stream on my iPhone.  There are 230 pictures in my camera roll.  I do not see any of these pictures in "My Photo Stream".  It appears that only the new pictures going forward will be added.  Is that correct?  I would like to add all the pictures from my camera roll to "My Photo Stream".  Thanks for your help!

That's correct, only photos added to the camera roll after enabling photo stream are added.  To add existing photos, there are a couple of options:
    Open the photos one at a time and take a screenshot.  This will add a new low resolution copy of the photo to the camera roll, which will then upload to your photo stream;
    Email the photos a few at a time to yourself, then save the attached photos to your camera roll.  This will add a copy of the photo at full resolution to your camera roll and upload to photo stream;
Use an app like PhotoSync, to wirelessly transfer copies of all your old photos to your computer all at once.  Then delete these photos from your camera roll and use PhotoSync to transfer them back from your computer to your camera roll.  These will be the original resolution and will upload to your photo stream.  (You need an app like this because iTunes will not transfer photos back to your camera roll, where they must be in order to add to your photo stream.)
An alternative would be to create a shared photo stream from your camera roll photos and share it with your self (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmc0cd7e99).

  • How to sync photo stream on ipad

How do I sync my photo stream on ipad

What do you mean sync your Photo Stream?
Photo Stream only works after you enable it on all of your devices. After you turn Photo Stream on, any photos that you take with one of your iDevices will sync to your other iDevices.
If you want to import the Photo Stream Photos to your computer (you don't sync the photos using iTunes) then have a look at this.
iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from ... - Support - Apple
Make sure that you go to the very end of the in article to see the section about Photo Stream.

  • How to recover photo stream pictures?

My photo stream album disappeared.  I think it happened when I enabled the "iCloud Photo Library (beta)".  I thought it was suppose to upload the photo stream album to iCloud but instead it just deleted it without ever asking me if I wanted them to be deleted.  Does anyone know what happened? Or how to recover them?  They do not show up in "recently deleted album" because I never actually deleted them
Ive tried 3rd party software but no luck.  Since half of the pics in the photo stream album were not in the regular pictures album and not on the hard drive they cannot be found.  When I went to the iCloud website there were only 97 pictures and not the 1000 pics that were originally in the photo stream album.
My phone has never been backed up to iTunes so that is no help
If these pictures are not on my phone or iCloud, where can they be and is it possible to get them back?

  • TS3989 Camera roll to photo stream?

How do I get photos from camera roll to the photo stream. I have photos older than 30 days in camera roll that i would like to share to my pc with my photo stream.

The easiest way to do that is to create a shared photo stream containg the photos (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmc0cd7e99), then share it with yourself.
