TS4002 I want to view my emails with the reading pane at the bottom of the screen - I cannot change it from a vertical column view. Used to be 'classic view' in mobile me. Anyone know how to do it?
I want to read my emails in horizontal view - reading pane at the bottom of the monitor - on iCloud. I cannot change the view from vertical and columns? Anyone know how I can do this? It was called 'classic view' in Mobileme.

That's OK on 'mail'.
My problem is on webmail - when I open my email on iCloud I have the columns and cannot find where to change the view.
Any further ideas?

Every backup replaces the old one, so, unless you included the backup folder in your computer backup routine, you can't get back your calendar info.
The only time iTunes will not replace a backup is, when you use it to restore from, this one will stay in the backup list in iTunes.

I have a Windows copy of Photoshop Elements 11, but the serial number has been lost. I didn't buy the product and I am unable to find the box. As far as I know, it's never been used so has not been registered. Does anyone know how the serial number can be recovered under these circumstances?
If you never bought the product then you cannot get the serial number.

Itunes can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer. I've tried reinstalling but problem continues. May anyone knows how to fix it?
Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

I updated my phone to iOS 7 and ever since then I don't have the App Store. It's really frustrating because I have restored my phone and it still doesn't have it. I don't know if it can be fixed, but if anyone knows how to fix it please let me know!

I Just purchased the numbers app for iphone and was hoping I would be able to work on spreadsheets on the go on and then sync them to my mac so I can continue to work on them at home - not able to make it work. Anyone know how to do this??

I have been downloading (Importing) some photos from my camera, using Preview. As I select them to import and hit the button "Import", they are immediately saved on my desktop, rather than just appearing in Preview, wher I normally choose which ones I wish to save. Is there a way I can stop this happening? I am using a iMac intel with OS 10.6.8 and Preview version 5.0.3.
Normally, when I Import, I get a preview window with the images I chose. I dont get a secnt set on my desktop.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

I am sorry I should have said Image Capture not Previews. The files end up as duplicates on my desktop or in Pictures. I was told by someone that the same thing happens in iPhoto as well as not being able to select which photos to save and that using Image Capture should be better.
My iPhoto is version 8.1.2 and Image Capture is 6.0.1.

Customer support is dire! I have spent long hours dealing with costumers service <whose only modes of help are sending me out to buy something new or provide me with a hyperlink to help page that was two clicks away anyway> Between thier lack of knowledge and SARCASTIC JABS it's amazing that I have retained my sanity. I won't go into details but I'll catch you up. 4 sessions in live chat with LOOOONG delay in between responses and I can not make recovery disc, my phono jack does not function properly, my system can not communicate MTP <you know, what you use to fill your ipod, and I kid you not there is a fan LITERALLY RATTLING AROUND inside my 2 month old notebook. So what do I do? I exhaustively seach for away to get a hold of customer service, and all I can find are blogs about how HP costumer service sucks. Bear in mind that I did not put suck into my search engine. I put "HP QA and HP customer service" into google and what returned was BLOGS ABOUT HOW HP CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS. Those were the most relevant results in google. So I finally come to this forum and find a thread about..........you guessed it hp customer service sucking.....but oh no an HP moderator locked it down and provided a link to the page where one can obtain the very customer service that has been deemed insufficient by the very COMMUNITY that it is supposed to support. WE PAYED YOU PEOPLE! YOU ARE HERE FOR US NOT WE FOR YOU.

Anyone know how to create/use particular icons for stack icons?

I currently have the following folders as some of my individual stacks in my dock.
Pictures
Applications
Music
Movies
Home
Now if I right-click on any of them and select 'Display as Stack' then the first file in the folder gets used as the dock icon for that stack folder. So obviously this could change from time to time as more files get added to folders.
Does anyone know how I can use a particular picture/icon to remain as the icon for a specific stack please?
So for example I would like to drag the 'Downloads' folder down to the dock and have it as a stack. But it never uses the circular green icon as its icon when I select 'Display as Stack'. Instead simply displays the stack as a blue folder with an arrow pointing down. Anyone know how I can set it to the circular green icon please?

Shams.yes, you need to apply a custom icon to your Downloads folder using the link I gave you. then that icon will display in the dock instead of the blue folder icon. there are lots of places to get custom icons like Interface lift

Does anyone know how iCloud resolves conflicts? (iOS save games)

We're having some users report an issue with our App that their save game is being nuked when they close the App, sing in to iCloud and then re-open. We have a number of leads we can follow, but first thing is first; Does anyone know how conflicts are resolved by the iCloud system? What it does internally?
Scenario:
Achieve some amount of progress through an App.
Achieve some other amount of progress through an App from a different device.
Sign into iCloud on both.
iCloud obviously decides which data to use, but how? Is it literally just a "last write to file wins" case?
Another question is, does anybody know if iCloud would act strangely/not at all on a device which was jailbroken? We have a very small number of users reporting this issue so that may be another likely situation.
Many thanksYes, we are fully supporting iCloud. It's a very rare case that we get this report from users and no solid repro steps have yet been given. Many users have successfully played on multiple devices with iCloud enabled and their save game is perfectly intact. There just seems to be an edge case where it's possible that a call to iClouds synchronize and what it actually does in that function is resolving an older save file. So knowing what the internals of how it resolves conflicts will allow us to add another layer with our own conflict resolution specific to our App.

When I got my new iPhone and was trying to switch everything over I accidentally set up a new icloud account with one email and had one on my old iphone with another account. Does anyone know how I can merge the two accounts?
You cannot merge Apple IDs but you can go to Settings > iCloud and 'Delete Account'. When prompted to turn off documents and data, choose the only option which is Delete from my iPhone, but on the other prompt for Contacts, Calendars, etc you can choose 'Keep on my iPhone' Then once the Account is Deleted form the iPhone, log back in with the correct Apple ID and choose Merge when prompted. This will merge your data from this iPhone with that iCloud account effectively putting your devices on the same account.

Hi! I've just purchased an iPhone 5S but whenever I text people with iPhones it sends from my iCloud account. This means that my email comes up for other people not my name/number which is really frustrating! Does anyone know how to stop this?
Go into Settings>Messages>Send and Receive> Is your phone number checked there? If you do not want your email used, then tap on them and remove the checkmark. If there is no checkmark by your phone number, then turn iMessage off, perform a reset on the phone, hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. Turn iMessage on. When it activates, check your settings again under Send and Receive and make sure the number is checked and the emails are not.
