Two months late and cancelling?

We have a family share plan. One main line with one additional line. We are currently two months behind but we want to cancel our service anyway. Our "main line" contract ends 10/30 but our "additional line" doesn't end until 04/2012. We can't pay the two months so we can cancel by the 30th because I won't get paid until the 31st. Will Verizon renew our contract for another 2 years if we don't cancel by the 30th even though we don't want it anymore? Will we have to pay an ETF for the "additional line" when we do cancel? No Verizon will not auto renew your contract, but you will be on a month to month basis.  You will have to pay a termination fee for any line that is still under contract.  That will depend on what phone you had when you started the contract.
For feature, and basic phones it's $175 -5(per month after the first month)
For smartphones it's $350-10(per month after the first month)

    I recently, April 11, bought a brand new top of the line (from what I was told by the sales associates) TV with the latest technology for $5000.00. I looked on the website today as I was shopping for a different item and saw that it was on sale for $3500. I realize that part of electronics is the in with the new brings prices down but that figure less than two months later is astronomical. It's nearly 1/3 off.  I may be naive, but I never would have bought the top of the line had I known that it price would change so much.
    I called the rewards hotline (I'm an elite member) and they let me know that I could talk to the store manager because 15 days had passed and they had the final call. I went in and the manager basically told me the best he could do was offer me 50% off  laptop accessories. Not exactly what I was looking for.
    I am extremely dissapointed. Again, I realize that prices of electronics change but $1500 in less than two months is crazy to me. I learned a lesson but was hoping that someone could help me out.
    I would be willing to put any money I receive back right back to Best Buy for a new laptop ect...or at least a discount on that laptop. Otherwise I will have to go elsewhere
    I have been a loyal customer for many years (my family as well) and I think this would definitely change the opinion of the company/ I was told that I could talk to a manager who could help me out but then went in and found out that he could lose his job if he helped me. Quite confusing.

    As a TV show binge watcher, I know I’d be ecstatic to purchase a TV like yours.     I have the same problem on my iPhone4. It is obviously a bug in the software. Once it pops out I am locked out of my phone. I can't even begin to describe the frustration this causes. All that stuff about holding down the buttons is useless. the phone won't even shut off. I can take a screen shot like that or go to voice control. Even when I got to a wifi connection, I can't get on. This app blocks everything else. This is a serious bug and can have serious consequences. The only thing my phone would do is go to voice control and let me play iTunes or phone people. Some smart phone hey?
    I have finally got to a place with a wide enough wifi to connect my computer and restore the phone. This has lasted over a day!
    I don't even know why Find My Friends is on my phone. Is it part of the package and how do I turn it off?

    I called Apple technical support in Denmark, but with no positive reply.
    She couldn't do anything, and said that They had sent a recall Email about the problem and with their offer to repair the Macbook Pro, but I'd never recieved an Email about the problem. She wasn't in power to make an exception. It can't be true that i paid a lot of money, for a product that can't barely stand on its own feets, Apple didn't tell me that the product I was about to buy, would restart every 5 minute. and now when  they know the problem, they wont repair it? it just don't make sense for me. If a car seller discovers that all the brakes in a car he had sold, will crash after some years he will call all the cars back to repair no mater what. i just don't understand how Apple will make good service for their custumers, by extending the warranty from 2 to 3 years, but wont take the computers there is a little bit to old, 4 months will make the difference. i can't believe it.
    What can i do now?

    You will have a hard time taking it back.  Most places will claim you stepped on it accidentally and almost nobody will replace accidental damage for free.  2 months is also a long time.  Many places give you 15-30 dys to discover anything wrong and after that it is yours.

  • Moved flat two months ago and STILL no internet

    I moved into my flat on May 30th and called EE who told me it would take a couple weeks to get reconnected with them. The date for reconnection came and went... Nothing happened. I called them and they arranged for a BT engineer to come and check out why it wasn't working. The BT engineer adjusted something or other, he was incredibly vague, and said that everything should now be working... Shocker, it wasn't. We called EE and asked what was happening and why it was taking so long, that was in the third week of June or so. They said we had to wait for BT to activate the line for us, which would happen on July 12th, another three week wait.
    Once again, yet somewhat unsurprisingly at this point, the 12th of July came and went, and, you guessed it, no internet. Not even a call from EE explaining what was wrong, we were completely ignored, as was our problem. We called them again, twice connection was lost about 45 minutes into the phone call and no one could be bothered to call us back, we were left to spend another thirty minutes explaining and re-explaining our situation and being told that "we can see your connection now and it's active.." like it was OUR fault and we were doing something wrong, Not what you want to hear when you've spent nearly two months without Internet. So after two disconnections we managed to get through to someone, who told us we would be fast tracked and would have internet by midnight on Tuesday, that he was doing some very expensive fast track for us that cost £200 to do. Tuesday came and went, nothing. On Wednesday morning (yesterday) we received a text message, saying our internet would be activated by midnight. Guess what, it's Thursday morning and still no internet.
    I am sick to death of speaking to your customer service team, who seem to go round and round in circles trying to do the same solution (which doesn't work) over and over again because there is a complete lack of communication within the team. I am sick of explaining the issue over and over again only to be asked if I've reset the box or being told that I'm definitely connected so they don't know what's wrong. At this point it's not good enough. My partner and I have had phone bills accumulating to over £300 the last two months, because of YOU. we have unlimited internet at home because we need it, we both have to work from home quite often and I am completing an online course for which missing a deadline would mean being kicked off.
    The issue needs resolving once and for all, or we will be cancelling all contracts we have with you, and sharing our experience with as many people as possible to avoid them suffering a similar fate. We've heard Virgin Media are very good and will set up your internet in less than ten days, after forty six days with no internet, that is starting to sound like a god send. No more empty offers, no more "wait two weeks", I want it sorted now or you will lose us as customers.

    What does it say in the Internet section on the initial Status page of the BrightBox? Omit your BB Username.
    What lights show / don't show on front of router (count them off)?
    Is this for ADSL BB or Fibre? BrightBox 1 or 2?
    Does the phone work? Do you get a dial tone? Does it announce your correct no. when you dial 1470 17070?

    Hi.
    Safari crashes, and Explorer crashes as soon as i launch them. i don't friggin know why.
    I've had this problem for about two months, and came here at first. i tried all the solutions i could find, none of them worked. i was wondering if there is any solution which has been found in the meantime..
    basically, i started up a new login name, and it works under that, but i'd like my old login itunes library, movies, etc.
    Please send me any solutions that you know of, i'd appreciate it so much.

    First, forget troubleshooting IE. Microsoft has dropped support for IE on a Mac almost two years ago.
    Try this:
    Trash the Safari preference file (com.apple.safari.plist). Restart your computer and reenter your personal preferences. Occasionally a corrupt preference file can cause problems.
    Permissions are probably not the cause, but running permission repair cannot hurt.
    Run repair disk from your software install DVD.
    If you have tried all of these, an archive and install would probably be the next step.

When i came back home i turned my computer back on , entered my password and it shut off . i tried turning it back onbut it wont turn back on and neither woul it charge .     If it does not work, take the MacBook Pro to an Apple Store or reseller. You will get the MacBook repaired for free

  • 16 months later and finally 701

    it was a lot easier that I ever imagined and pretty fun too.  When i started this journey 18 months ago I had zero Credit Cards and a 586 credit score.  Now I have 7 cards with about $25,000 in limits currently under 23% usage and my Discover card FICO score as of this morning is a 701.  My wife and I are now in a position to sell and move out of our home in a very rough neighborhood and into something better for our family.  Thank you everyone.  For newcomers take this advice to heart.  NOthing can fix the mistakes of your past like time.  Ther is no shorcut just pay your bills and do the right thing.  I still have one negative account and it kills me because i know it is my fault.  What would my score be if i would have taken better care of my student loans.  Oh well they have been paid on time for over 48 months now and in time they too will heal themselves.

  • Signed up for two years two months ago and now they are taking away my Music Channels!!

    I signed up for the triple play back in December for two years, HD ultimate. I received an E-mail yesterday that all of my Music channels 1800 to 1845 will be gone unless I pay another $35 a month!!
    I called up and Verizon says our provider is changing their plan. I indicated I signed a two year contract with Verison and I can care less about their provider isssues.
    So what are my options? Anybody else dealing with this **bleep**?

    I wouldn't assume because you or others may not have receive notice as an indication that this isn't possible. For example, I have yet to receive any notice from Verizon about the removal of the Bridge TV & Funimation channels like many other customers. Verizon is dropping the ball with exisiting customers and their own customer service reps based on conversations I had with them. I'm not sure if it is conscious tatic or effort of not informing exisiting customers of programming changes. But it seems to be an ongoing issue by just the posts you see on this forum.

    You name it, Ive tried it.  Done all the different trouble shooting bits and bobs, ie uninstalled security, itunes reinstalled ,disabled apple mobile, used a different pc, etc yet still i cannot update my ipad?
    I even ventured to my local Apple store and the assistant had the same problem and couldn't help me either!
    Is it only my Ipad having this problem?  Why can't the Apple people see this device either??
    Apart from throwing the thing in the bin does anyone else have any suggestions of what I can do that might work please?
    Hoping someone will suggest something that I haven't already tried and will work.

    From the Start menu, click All Programs and click Accessories.
    Click Run. A Run window (command prompt) appears.
    Type msconfig in the Open field and click OK.
    If Windows needs your permission to continue, click Continue. The System Configuration Utility opens.
    Click the General tab.
       Select the "Selective Startup" option.
    Deselect the "Load Startup Items" checkbox.
    Note: This step requires disabling third-party System Services and Startup Items, which can prevent some software or OEM hardware on your computer from working correctly. For example, this can affect the CD/DVD control buttons on portable computers or prevent wireless keyboards and mice from functioning. This is only required during troubleshooting to help isolate third-party conflicts with Apple software.
    Click the Startup tab.
    Select the "iTunes" and "QuickTime" checkboxes in the list.
    Click the Services tab.
    Make sure that "Hide All Microsoft Services" is selected.
    Click Disable All.
    Note: If you are troubleshooting an issue related to iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch, select the Apple Mobile Device checkbox.
    Click OK.
    Click Restart. After restarting (and logging in to Windows), a message may appear stating that Windows has blocked startup programs and indicates the Blocked startup programs icon in the notification area (far right) of the taskbar. Click the message.
    Click the Blocked startup programs icon, select Run blocked program and select System Configuration Utility.

    If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.0.1. For the iPad Mini the iOS is 6.0.2. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

    @ UK Developer, yea my thoughts exactly, that was a tes i had litrally done prior to writing my post ( going to assume the 0mbs means i was recieving under 1 mb) but this has been the constant norm for me since july 2011, from 1mb - 10mb connection. And 10 motnhs later no help still.
    The file took about 15 mins to download, (which compare to other files e.g updates for the playstation about 150 megs took me about 45 mins to download) is fairly quick.
