TWO WEEKS - REALLY!!

I have had my blackberry curve 8520 for about a year the track button is having a moment and keeps freezing. If I take the battery out and fiddle with the back of it, it comes right for a bit! I took it into MTN and they said I would have to part with my blackberry for 2 WEEKS just for a quote with no loan bb! What am I supposed to do without my bb for AT LEAST 2 WEEKS!! I run my life off of my blackberry and honestly I was just astounded that this is the way the brand handles problems!!

Yes, I'd be quite upset too, the two weeks is absurd, just for a quote.
Is the device out of warranty, over a year since you purchased it?

  • I have an IPA2 wifi 3g working fine with wifi up for 3 monthes then from two weeks it get connection but after 1 minutes stop to serf/download with signal and connection always present. With the same router are still connected others 3 pc working!

    I all, 
    the scenario is the following:
    WIFI connection with TISCALI operator. Encryption made by WPA2 EAS with router SITECOM or tested also with another router DIGICOM with WPA TPK.
    From December up to end of March the IPAD2 working perfectly serfing and downloading.
    By two weeks it has a very strange behavour without have changed any configuration on IPAD or network: 
    with WIFI turned on it discover about 4 different ntw among them the mine, I successfully authenticate with psw the my ntw,
    the IPAD2 start to run with Safari without problems, but after about 1 minutes, it stop to serf or download and answer that the Server cannot be reached or the page cannot be open, at the same time the signal is present on the icon of WIFI and it is strong.
    This problem is systematic: If I dissasociate the ntw and then authenticate again I start to serf again for 1 minutes (more or less) and then it stops again, this occurs every time I authenticate the ntw after a disassociation.
    I made some test changing the encryption from WPA2, WPA and also without encryption but the result was always the same, after about one minute the server seems to be for the IPAD2 no more reachable while the others PC and netbook connected to the same router continue to serf/download without problems!
    I also tried to change the router with a DIGCOM that I did not use generally, but the behavour is always the same.
    Since the IOS was the 4.3 revisin, I made the upgrade by means Itunes to IOS 5.1 succesfully installed.
    But unfortunatelly all test repeted have had the same negative result with the same behavour!
    Yesterday I tried to do the complete restore of the System but the tests had the same rsult. 
    I really don't know how to proceed, the problem started suddenly without any action from my side....is there someone that can help me?

    Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

  • My journey of almost two weeks to get a new phone

    my story of how to get a new phone has many ups and downs.
    may 29th, i return from belize with a broken phone (dropped it in the ocean on a scuba trip).  i go to the apple store who recommends i call verizon to see if they're going to be flexible about upgrading early to an iphone 5 rather than purchasing a refurb iphone 4.  the agent i spoke to the phone tells me he asks his superior, then informs me that i can call back the following monday (may 3rd) to get an order for a new phone.  why may 3rd? because it's a new billing cycle, which would put me just 1 month early for an upgrade (my actual due date for an upgrade is july 3rd).  he tells me he put a note in my file saying i have been approved for this 1 month early upgrade from his supervisor so it should be an easy deal for the next agent to handle.  i drive to verizon on my way back from the apple store and they tell me they do not do early upgrades and all of this would have to be done over the phone, which i do not have [ great....]
    may 3rd.  i call to order my phone.  i need a billing password? what? nobody in my family knows what it is (my dad is the owner).  i ask the rep what security question does my dad need to answer to reset the billing password.  he says the security question is the last 4 of his SS.  i inform the rep that i am an appointed manager of the account and i know the SS so can i reset the password?  he says no, and that it must come from the owner himself (at this point i'm contemplating just to call and hang up and impersonate my dad to reset it).  i ask the rep if he can take my order down (black iphone 5, 16gb, renew 2 year agreement on my number) and my credit card info, call my dad at work to authorize this purchase, then use the info i already gave him to place an order.  he says yes he can do it.  i ask if he can send me the confirmation email so he takes down my email address.  3 hours later i drive to the verizon store and i call my dad who says the rep called him and it should be fedex'ed to me by wednesday, may 5th.  i call the verizon customer service to get confirmation numbers but lucky me, the verizon computers are down and service rep is unable to access any accounts for the next few hours but they are able to answer any general questions i might have.... (i never received an email confirmation but i figured if my dad said he took care of it, everything is done). 
    may 5th.  no phone.  i call my dad, and he says it should be there.  i call verizon and they say my order is pending.  why?  the ToSA (terms of service agreement) has not been completed (my dad was never notified of its lack of completion).  I ask them to review the details of my order.  the order was not under my number, but under another phone number that was eligible for an upgrade.  so not only was my order held, it wasn't even correct to begin with.  i ask them to cancel the order, place the correct one under my number, and to email me the confirmation.  i complete the ToSA but again i fail to receive an email.  i call back and they say i have an incomplete order that requires the ToSA.  i tell them i just did it and they said how about you try again and we'll call you back in 5 minutes.  they transfer me to a ToSA that is for porting numbers (***) so obviously i declined it and hung up.  i wait 20 minutes but i never get a call.  fed up, i call again, and FINALLY i get some real answers as to what has been going on by a rep named Shelly in pendleton, indiana.
    i tell shelly i was trying to complete a ToSA but i was transferred to the wrong automated machine.  shelly then informs me i have TWO open orders. [ surprise! ]  iphone 5 for my own number (order A) and an iphone 5 for the other eligible number (order B).  [ note: the previous agent was trying to get me to complete ToSA for order B and transferred me to the wrong ToSA ]  order A has a complete ToSA, and order B is pending.  i tell her i cancelled order B with the last rep and she said this cancellation must be done through the automated voice ToSA.  she said she can walk me through it on a 3 way call, and we successfully cancel that order.  but i had my doubts so i asked her to review my other order before i hang up.  she says the ToSA is complete but it the order is still pending.  [ now i'm confused ]  i re-tell my ENTIRE story to shelly about how i broke my phone, i spoke to a rep last week about early upgrade approval, and now it has been a train wreck trying to get a phone since then.  she goes through all of my notes and tells me the first rep did make notes about early upgrades (agent notes never count as actual supervisor authorization), but then when the phone was ordered, it was ordered on the eligible phone number in order to bypass supervisor authorization.  so because my active pending order could theoretically be rejected, she double checked again with her boss, and then informed me that it was HIGHLY likely my early upgrade would be DENIED.  [ i'm really trying not to break my friend's phone at this point ]
    so now i tell shelly that i want to re-order the exact order i just cancelled (order B) to guarantee that i will get a phone.  we go through the automated process together to cancel the order i just submitted (order A).  then we place the order on the other phone number with the eligible upgrade.  but wait, there's another catch.  i need to know my dad's social, not the last four, but the last SIX digits.  [ are you kidding me?  the security process is getting absurd at this point ]  i ask her if she's sure since i've completed a ToSA before (order A) and was never asked that question.  she said she guarantees it 100% that it will come up.  she hangs up and dials me back to put me on a 3 way call with my dad to ask him for it, and then we go through the ToSA.  she is absolutely correct that i needed it, and finally my order is confirmed.  she is also the only rep who actually was able to get me the confirmation email of my order.  i check my credit card online, and my payment has been processed.  after 2.5 hours on my friend's phone today, now i am finally confident that i can get my phone by saturday or next monday, which should put this whole ordeal at almost two weeks.
    my gripes
    1. i waited until may 3rd for no reason at all when i could have just used another phone's upgrade option.  in addtion, shelly told me i could have even swapped contracts with the other number (renew + upgrade on the other number + swap => leaving me exactly with what i wanted - a 2 year contract and an upgraded phone).  this unnecessary wait probably bothered me the most.  it was just wasted time and me twiddling my thumbs when i could have had a phone on monday.
    2.  never getting confirmation emails i asked for from other reps.
    3.  getting transferred to the wrong ToSA.  (however, shelly told me this mistake is easily made because different ToSA share similar numbers)
    4.  the phone call i was supposed to get 5 minutes later after completing the ToSA came like 45 minutes later.   (i was already on the phone with shelly so i never bothered picking it up.)
    5.  agents saying they'll do one thing then change the plan, which makes it confusing for all parties.  if there's a notes section, please be thorough in documenting AND reviewing it.  it also does not help at all that there is no direct line to speak to specific agents so that the customer and the service rep can work together efficiently and effectively.  in my situation, i do not currently have a phone (nor do i have a land line for them to contact me at).  there has to be a way for me to effectively place an order ONCE through and PERFECTLY.  this is literally the most frustrating customer service experience i've ever had. 
    positives?
    whoever shelly in indiana is needs a raise/bonus/promotion.  she actually SOLVED my problem in one sitting.  she also seems like the only person who actually knows how to process and cancel orders.

    security questions was the least of my issues, hence, it did not make my gripes summary.  the account owner authorized the order over the phone easily, but somehow some way the order still failed to go through.  only one agent, the last agent, stayed on the line while the ToSA was being done  1. to check that she was transferring me to the correct ToSA, 2. to check that the ToSA was successfully completed, and 3. so she could me the confirmation numbers i needed to track it.
    i had difficulties with completing the ToSA, simple required task for an authorized purchase, not once, but TWICE.  the ToSA did not go through on the order on june 3rd for whatever reason.  and when i was transferred to the wrong ToSA line in my own attempt to authorize a purchase on june 5th, i can see this error being replicated numerous times limiting the efficacy of an automated system when agents don't stay on the line to confirm that the final step goes through.  i even tried getting the confirmation number on june 3rd, but when i called, the verizon system is conveniently down rendering any form of follow up useless.  as a consequence, the lack of ability to have a single agent managing the case turns into a telephone game through the documented notes with agents unaware of what has been done previously and the reasons for managing a case a certain way. 
    another huge frustration i didn't highlight in my gripes is that none of this can be resolved in person at a verizon store.  fortunately for those who live next to a corporate verizon building, it is easy.  for the rest of us, it isn't quite so.

  • Firefox4 keeps haning on first page , and shown not responding at top of page.had to install 3.6.16 to get firefox to work.(no virusses/mall/adware etc. found, amd explorer worked fine) how can i get ff4 to work properly again (like it did for two weeks)

    the when i go to, lets say gmail, it will open but when i try to look at an e-mail, it won't load.In the bar at the top of the screen a msg shows (in Dutch) saying" firefox reageert niet" (firefox is not responding).
    All I can do is close FF and when I start it again it opens with a window asking me to start a new session or open the latest session.
    No matter what choice I make the outcome is the same. I can open 0ne page , and then get the same msg as before.
    I ran several anti virus programs as well as Mall and Spy-ware killers,restarted the computer, started the computer from a point in the past, nothing helped.
    As this went on I was able to use Explorer.
    As a last resort I re-installed FF3.6.16
    Now everything seems to work again.
    But in the two weeks I worked with FF4 it worked really nice, therefore I'd really like to be able to to use FF4

  • über problems with Z10 for past two weeks.

    For the past two weeks I've been having major problems with my Z10. I started noticing that my Whatsapp messages were coming through, but not making a sound. I reset and set the notification settings again, but still no luck. I figured since it was a 3rd party app, I'd maybe need to reinstall it. But then I also noticed that my text messages weren't coming through. Then some of my notifications (Facebook, Text message, Whatsapp and email) started staying "unread" even after I'd read them and even marked them as read. In fact, in desperation I even deleted the one text message thread, but it was still showing in my HUB. When I clicked on it it just showed blank since there was no longer a message there, but it wouldn't "disappear" from the HUB. Also, emails come through, but there is no sound or unread notification and I only see them if I check through the "read" emails in the HUB. 
    The only thing that helps for this is when I restart my phone - then all my texts come through, notifications work fine and everything is dandy - for about half an hour, then the same thing starts happening. This is really annoying, because I have to restart my phone several times a day to make sure I don't miss important messages (which has happened during this time). 
    Last week I wiped my phone and restored an update from 2 weeks earlier (when the phone wasn't giving problems), but once again it only worked for an hour max, then it was back to the same old problems. 
    I'm really frustrated at the moment, because what good is a smart phone to me if all it can do is make and receive calls? The ONLY things working properly at the moment (as far as I'm aware) is BBM and making and receiving calls.

    The other day i deleted my email accounts off of my ipod and only reloaded a few of them. today i looked at my notes to look at a project i had typed on my notes because i didnt have paper and pen around to write it and i didnt want to froget. I reloaded the rest of my emails in hope that everything would reappear but sadly only some of them from 2010 loaded. Recently i had update some of the files and they were like they were when i first created them there were alos ones that i had deleted long ago. There are other notes i had made that were really important to me to andi wouldn't be able to remember every single one. Help Please!

  • I upgraded my iphone 4S to ios 6 two weeks ago and yesterday when I tried to go into my App Store the only ares that I could get was Genius, Genius Categories, and Updates..can't get Apps or search in Apps. Anyone else having this issue?

    Is anyone having an issue with the App Store since upgrading to ios 5?  I have iphone 4S and upgraded two weeks ago to ios 5, and yesterday I tried to access the App Store and could only get Genius and Updates....no App Store and couldn't search or go to Catagories in App Store!

    I couldn't find the edit button on my original post so I am posting an update here.
    I have gone through more apps and have had good luck on all but one more.  And it's not that the app doesn't work, I am talking about the Yahoo Weather app, It works fine, but when you swipe between cities the screen lags a bit and it sometimes doesn't move between pages the way it should.  On iOS 7.1.2 it was smooth as butter but on iOS 8.0, not so much.  I will post a note in the app store to let them know.  I really like the Yahoo app better than the new stock app.
    I have been going through my games and they all work fine. Angry Birds (Original and Stella), Canabalt, Minecraft, Bejeweled 2, Silly Walks, PopWords, Doodle Jump, Deep Green all seem to work just fine. 
    Starbucks app works as it should. 
    I will stop back again next week after I have had the weekend to play with it in detail and post my thoughts again.

  • Two weeks of Images will need production. Please Help me!

    Just for a change (from me anyway) I have a GOOD question ie. not a problem
    For the first time in over thirty years I am off on a trip/solo. Two weeks of travel with my camera, ipod and MBP.
    I want to put together a number of image+video DVDs of my journeys.
    So to the question.
    Would someone, or more, give me their suggestions as to work flow and methodology within Aperture for:
    1- Transfer of approx. 250gig of images from usb external HDD in files chronologically stored.
    2- Selection of images for each DVD and selection of videos taken for same.
    3- Editing procedure within AP. (I don't want to go outside if I can help it)
    There is no time limit for the processes as I see it as a totally personal project(s).
    Anyone with experience of this sort of work, travel, reportage photographer would be my ideal source of knowledge (slightly begging there - sorry)

    Fwiw ... heh ... I would use Albums (not Smart Albums) for this. In fact, I think this underscores one of the prime differences between the two. Smart Albums, for me, create groups which make it easier for me to find, count, adjust, and administer images; Albums are +output containers+, used to manually create groups of images which I will publish together.
    I find it helpful to separate the three image-activities of Aperture: storage, development and administration, and output.
    In this particular case, I think Albums have four advantages over Smart Albums.
    . It is easier to remove images. Just delete. With a Smart Album you have to know the field the criteria is based on, and then change the contents of that field. The means of removing an image from any Album is always the same; from a Smart Album it will always be different.
    . Any metadata field should be applicable to all images. "Belongs to/Does not belong to ... +tea ceremony+ " is not universal enough to use metadata, but is perfect for an Album
    . The contents don't change automatically. For output containers, this is important. It is much more likely to mistakenly assign (or delete) keywords or other metadata than it is to add or remove images in Albums. I really want to be certain in six or nine months time that the images in my Album are the ones I used -- no more, and no less.
    . Albums are easier to delete. In two year's, when I'm house-cleaning, I can simply delete "Tea Ceremony, Vacation, 2011, for DVD". With keywords (which seems most likely), I have to delete the Smart Album, then chase down the keyword and delete it. May seem trivial, but the goal is to keep the database clean. I've seen enormous amounts of cruft added to people's databases by simple things such as this.
    As an additional example of the Album/Smart Album divide:
    I have a keyword "Portfolio" and a Smart Album of Portfolio images. This is internal to my operation (that is, it is part of my general image administration). When it comes time to publish a set of images I refer to as "my portfolio", I create an Album specific to that publishing task (e.g.: "MobileMe Portfolio, Sept. 2010"). My Portfolio Smart Album makes it easy work for me to pick images and drag them into my "MobileMe Portfolio" Album (or Albums). The point is that there is a difference between the two of them, and each serves a different function in my workflow.
    My recommendation to the OP is to create Albums for each publication, and use Folders to group those publications into DVDs.

  • Extraordin​arily poor customer service & two weeks to replace a settop box???

    Can Verizon explain the huge decrease in your customer service over the past several months? After being a Verizon customer for nearly 20 years, we are in the process of looking for an alternate service provider after spending a week with your customer service representatives trying to obtain a replacement settop box Model 6200.
    After six hours of phone calls and a week of waiting, we now have a stack of three boxes sitting outside. The original that no longer powers up, the wrong unit that is obviously refurbished with huge scratches and grime all over it, and a new 7100.
    The best thing Verizon seems to be able to do now is send a technician in another week with a 6200 on the truck. Obviously, our confidence in this is not very high.
    During the process of calling in to Verizon every day this week, I have had the horrible experience of talking to your automated attendant who specifies that she/it has updates on my FIOS installation. When I follow the prompts to obtain more information, I hold for several minutes. Twice this week, your computers were down, so the reps simply hung up and said to call back.
    Several of your customer service representatives were extremely nice and helpful but the bottomline is that after a week, I still don't have the correct piece of equipment. I also have your automated system telling me that I have two appointments in two weeks to send out technicians to install FIOS on one day and PHONE on another day. No one at Verizon can respond when I ask them what this is about.
    Management seems to be non-existant or non-caring, and I'm not sure which is worse. Verizon representatives made the following statements that make it appear that Verizon has taken purposeful steps to make escalations of service problems by a customer impossible.
    1. Supervisors cannot be reached by customers. They will call you back within 24-48 hours.
    2. There is no headquarters phone number is not made available to customers because no one at Verizon executive offices will speak to a customer. This is a direct quote.
    3. The headquarters telephone number listed by Verizon in any public forum is a voicemail box. (REALLY?????)
    4. The legal/compliance number provided on your website forwards to customer service representatives who tell customers that they will look up the number on the same website that customers can. Which then transfers to the same customer service rep.
     Verizon has made it apparent that customer that are treated poorly by the company are not taken seriously and that you will simply ask for "one more chance" to make it right in another three to five days and take the customers time for granted.
    Amazingly, I can get through to pay a bill or order a new service in five minutes!

    That's one of the very reasons why I don't call 1-800-VERIZON unless I really have to because I too have been there with the runaround where it wastes so much time and nobody seems to know what they're doing but I've had other experiences with that call line which worked out better.  Either way, I blame management.  It's very disorganized and sometimes it's like asking for the impossible when you're making a very basic and reasonable request for something.  My only other alternative available in my area is Comcast which wouldn't be very much different from what I have seen. 
    I haven't done this myself but as someone else here suggested, you might accomplish a lot more by exchanging your STB at a Verizon Fios TV store but please be sure to call first before venturing out.  I know other people here have gotten this sort of problem resolved a lot quicker that way.

    I agree with the Thomas, in that I think you have mucked up your settings in the AOL account. Your username should be something like - [email protected] Your password is whatever you use as the password.
    You could try deleting the account and start over again. Here is a link to a "how to set up AOL email " on the iPad. It is  4 or 5 step process and just make sure that you are entering the correct information in the correct fields in the set up. Among my 4 email accounts on my iPad, I have 2 AOL accounts. I have no problems at  all and it was really very easy to set up. There is no reason why AOL email should not work on your iPad.
    To repeat and emphasize - Just make sure that you are entering the correct information in the appropriate fields as I think that's where you are making your mistakes.
    If I had my choice, I would probably chuck the AOL accounts as well, but I have all the spam filters set as high as I can on the server, and it has cut down tremendously on the spam. Unfortunately - we set up AOL accounts at my workplace years ago and I really hesitate to change them now, so I continue on with these, but like I said, they work fine and they were very easy to set up.

  • 2 weeks, really?

    In mid-February I dropped off the Sony DVD player that your sales associate raved about.  For two weeks it had been telling me to "Wait... Wait... Wait......".  I take it to the store and the CSR gives me a repair and back in the store for pick estimate of 3/4/2014. 
    Yesterday (3/3/2014) I get a robo-email telling me jovely that my Sony BDP-S790 Blu-Ray player has arrived aat the GeekSquad facility for repair.  This morning I get a call from the GeekSquad facility in Perth Amboy and the caller doesn't extend the courtesy of leaving a message.  So I have to track down my unit by calling Perth Amboy only to hear that the unit's got to be shipped to Sony.  And, here's the kicker, his excuse for the unit taking more than two weeks to travel between Annapolis Maryland and Perth Amboy New Jersey is the weather.
    Really?  Excuse my French but WTH?  I have been going to work every day in this "weather".  You mean to tell me Best Buy can't ship in it in a timely fashion?  It takes me less than 4 hours to get to Jersey in traffic.  I've received internet purchases in two days (nonexpedited shippng, too) from Vermont in this "weather". 
    Two freaking weeks just to realize you can't repair the unit while it's under warranty?  I'm not sure which I am more irritated at - the time it took for the unit to make it to the repair facility or the fact that it should have been routed directly to Sony to begin with.
    You'e got yourself some real winners there in your service department.  Real rocket scientists. 
    Worse, the initial problem is that the unit turns itself off during its self-activated upgrades, when the messages clearly state not to turn off the unit during upgrade.  Because it isn't playing or being fumbled with, it ignores the fact that it's upgrading itself, it shuts itself down.  If a requirement to own this model without it committing upgrade harkiri is a T1 internet connection, then the box should say so.  Otherwise, the unit should be smart enough not to turn itself off during upgrade. 
    I'll likely get the unit back with the immediate problem fixed, but it will just re-occur.  And the fault is the original salesman not knowing his product.  So I will be stuck with a brick the first time the unit has to upgrade after the warranty ends.  I recommended to the repair clerk at the store that I exchange the unit for something less "smart" but store policy wouldn't allow it.  So much for my loyalty to and future purchases from Best Buy.

    As someone who watches a seemingly never ending list of TV shows, my Blu-Ray player helps me catch up on shows that I’m unable to watch on time.  I can only imagine how frustrating it must be to find yourself without one for two weeks without repair. While we want to provide timely service for our customers and effectively maintain our high quality standards, circumstances outside of our control can hinder us, and I’m sorry that this was at your expense.
    Concerned, I pulled up your Blu-ray player’s service order and found that your repair is underneath manufacturer’s warranty. While we ordinarily service products underneath manufacturers’ warranties, select manufacturers ask us to defer to their repair service centers.  Sony is one of them, meaning that when a service order is initiated, it would ship to our service center that would then re-route it to Sony. Currently, your Blu-Ray player is on its way to Sony’s repair center for service, and once completed, should be sent back to your local store for pickup. I’m sorry if this process wasn’t fully explained at the time your service order was created, along with any frustration this has caused.
    As I do want to make sure you receive a proper working unit, I will keep tabs on your service order and provide you with regular status updates via private messages. You should receive an email notification when you receive one. You may view them by logging into the forum and clicking on the envelope in the upper right-hand corner.

  • Podcast Image is Not Updating for over Two Weeks

    Hi. I use Wordpress - > Feedburner - > iTunes Store and my designated podcast image has not been updated in the Store for over two weeks. However I will note that on the Apple Podcast App, and in the iTunes Podcasting Section in my iTunes Library, the image updated almost immediately. It's only in the store that it's a problem, plus, that is the URL we use to share on Social Media. So it's code red!
    I have been following all the threads, and understand that sometimes the store gets "stuck," but we are reaching hair-pulling-out-of-our-skulls mode, considering our large audience-base and the regularity with which we share the podcast on Social Media.
    The outdated image, which iTunes Store is still displaying, does not exist anywhere on or offline at all. It is behaving as a ghost, not the scary kind the really f*cking annoying kind. I have no idea how in the world the store is still accessing it. It is 2014, and I simply cannot believe that Apple Technology would be this sluggish, and so I'm beginning to suspect I've messed something up somewhere, and really I'm at a loss and I can't keep telling my superiors that it's someone else's fault and HELP HELP HELP

    After over 8 weeks, I got my image updated. I don't know exactly what did it. First I followed Roger's advice and changing the file name to a name that had never been used before. The fact that I reset back to an earlier image, thus a file name that had already been used, maybe confused it a little bit. So I changed the file name and re-uploaded. I also compressed the file size down a notch to make it smaller.
    Finally, I bugged Apple tech support on the phone to no end (sorry sir, we don't know how to fix this, sorry sir, we don't really understand podcasting) until they gave me this email adress, and there, they told me they reset the feed:
    Podcasts at apple .com
    It is 2014, and updating a dedicated Podcast image should not be this hard. They need to totally revamp their system. I think the more we complain about this on the forums, the quicker this will happen.
    This is the only podcast directory that has this outdated problem. Unfortunately, it's also the most important podcast directory.

  • Can only see emails no later than two weeks old! HELP!

    Hello there. We use Outlook 2010 and Exchange 2010 and I am having an issue with one user. She called yesterday to tell us that she was looking at her inbox and she noticed that she couldn't see any email after two weeks old. This user uses two different
    computers, one at her desk and then one at the front secretary desk where she sits about 2 days a week.
     I then checked to see if she had any filters on, even started outlook.exe /cleanviews, /cleanrules, and /safe and still couldn't see past two weeks. I then checked to see if cache mode was checked and it was not on either computer. Checked her deleted
    folder and there was nothing in there but then did a restore and there was tons of stuff in there, so I restored it all because she said that it looked like it was the stuff but I don't think it was. Anyways, the restore didn't work and there are still only
    two weeks of emails in her inbox. She's one of the few people here that go through all her emails and delete a lot of them and put some in folders that she really needs to keep.
    I then checked around the other folders that she has and there were emails from way back, even going back years. Just to make sure, I enabled her OWA access and signed into her account on there and it had the same stuff that her outlook has so I don't think
    it's application related.
    I'm wondering if there is anything else that I can check that could be causing this issue. I would be very appreciative for any help that can be offered.

    You cannot see the missing emails from OWA, right?
    Have you checked if the emails were archived to a psf-file? You can also check the AutoArchive setting by right-clicking on Inbox and selecting Properties, then click
    AutoArchive tab. Check if you set the "Clean out items older than" option to "2 weeks".
    If so, you can try to open the PST file from File > Open > Open Outlook Data File. By default, the archive PST file is stored under: C:\Users\%username%\Documents\Outlook Files.
