Type Initialization Failed
Hello,
I have an application in C# 2005, and have usede Crystal Reports 10.
When I deploy this application on another machine where Visual Studio is not present, on report display it throws the following error:
System.TypeInitializationException: The type initializer for 'CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument' threw an exception. ---> System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.CommLayer, Version=10.2.3600.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

My problem has been resolved.
A merge module is required to be included while preparing setup.
This module is available on Business Objects site and is free to download.
For CR X it is CrystalReportsRedist2005_x86.msm
so depending on the version of your Crystal Report you may download the module. Instructions for including in the Setup is also available in Word Format.

The installation was started at 10:13am and hung for sometime at 94% of the prereq stage. Installation finally completed at 10:47am. The errors seem to indicate that setup will continue. However upon running setup /prepareAD the installation hangs for sometime

There's another thread about this issue but the accepted answer actually has nothing at all to do with the original problem/question so that's a bit deceptive.
Anyway, when trying to install Exchange 2013 SP1 (on 2012 R2 Datacentre) the installation reaches the Configuring Prerequisites part of the Readiness Checks and then fails out with the message:
The type initializer for 'Microsoft.Exchange.Configuration.Tasks.ThrottlingModule`1' threw an exception.
I honestly can't find any way around this issue and the only mentions I've seen resulted in people reinstalling Windows which obviously isn't really a resolution to the problem.
Is there any known fix for this issue?Ok well I've managed to get around that now by recreating a few registry keys and documented that here (apparently I'm not allowed to create links so can't put that here).
I have a new issue now though. It seemed to get almost all the way through the installation process but is now failing due to a "memory" issue although due to the wording I can't tell whether it means RAM or Disk space. Either way, neither should
apply. The drive has 80GB of space available and the machine has 8GB of RAM (only 2GB in use at the time the installer was ran and the amount didn't drop).

So if it's not the drive (there's only one drive in the machine) or RAM then what exactly has it ran out of? -
I have read some of the other posts for people that got this error, but none seem to apply to me.
My program has been working for weeks. I made some minor changes, and started getting the error (full details below).
I did a TFS "undo pending changes" and still getting the same error, even after logging off. The one odd thing is that I did change my Windows password this week. The connection string is using a SQL user id and password that has no issues.

Apparently it had happened to me before, and fortuantely, I actually added the following comment:

Today I tried to configure JAVA APM on a CentOS 6.4 server with tomcat6 installed through the normal RPM package. Adding this server to SCOM was no problem and it shows itself as a 'Deep Monitored Configuration'. The last part of enabling
JAVA APM fails. I have followed the following process:
1. Imported the JAVA APM MP's
2. Extracted the JAVA APM Files
3. Copied those files to my CentOS server
4. Added the JAVA_OPTS to my tomcat configuration file
5. Restarted Tomcat
When I look for the log file which needs to be created through the installation of the APM agent it cannot be find. When I look into my Catalina.out file I see the following errors:

SQL Server not starting - FallBack certificate initialization failed
I can not start my SqlServer 2008 Express. The problem seemed to start when I changed my "Built In account, Log in as" from Local Service to Local System. If I try to change back to Local Service I get the messagebox with WMI Provider Error, "Cannot find object or property. [0x80092004]".
Getting a bit confused, but read http://support.microsoft.com/kb/900497 mentioned about
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQLServer\SuperSocketNetLib, Value name: Certificate, Type: REG_SZ not having a valid value then 2005 would not starte - my value is blank. Changing it to 0 did not work.
How can I import a valid certificate using SQL Server Configuration Manager. And how do you turn off Forced Encryption? Not sure if this would fix it, but couldn't hurt.

TheBrendaI know it's probably too late to help with the original poster, but we had this same issue and nothing we tried resolved the problem. Finally, we opened a technical incident with Microsoft and this is the solution that we were provided:
Take backup of below registry key.
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Cryptography\MachineGuid This key should ideally have the GUID of the machine without curly braces, so {xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx} becomes xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx
Then delete the braces.
Try to reboot and start the SQL service . If service don’t start then Uninstall and reinstall SQL.
The above solution worked on two separate machines exhibiting this problem. -

Nothing else except this is in journalctl and the same message I get when i manually restart bluetoothd through systemctl. Here is an output of status:

Anyway - when I want to connect my keyboard, I have to go to bluetoothctl, connect, disconnect and then again connect - then it's working OK. During that I get this errors:

The keyboard also gets disconnected after cca 5 minutes of inactivity and bluetooth daemon use 100% of one core for no reason. When I type something on keyboard, it gets back to normal. And the best thing? When I hit Caps Lock on my BT keyboard, it stops working and disconnect from laptop. I have to disconnect it first in bluetoothctl and connect it again!
I guess this should be first step in making it work.
My friend with other laptop and other keyboard has exactly same problems. Thanks to lack of documentation for Bluez it's hard to find out what's going on. Really - this is one of the things that pisses me off the most in Linux.

What I have attempted:
- Attempted to connect to Shared Services, Workspace url's - YES
- Checked openLDAP & my Database is running - YES
- Added following to Configuration File :

At this point does anybody have any suggestions ?An update: Just for kicks, I tried restarting Essbase using Start->Programs-EPMSystem->Essbase->EssbaseServer->Essbase.bat and apparently now Essbase is started.
EAS, Studio and Planning however are down.

Error #1034 Type Coercion fail with registerClassAlias and nested Vectors
I'm attempting to use flash.net.registerClassAlias and ByteArray.writeObject in order to serialize/deserialize data with static type information. It works as you'd expect in the general case but I've run into problems with some nested Vectors that I don't understand. Hopefully someone can point out if I'm just missing something.
For what I understand, we must register both the scalar types and a one-deep specification of a Vector for that scalar type in order to use nested Vectors. For example:
flash.net.registerClassAlias("TestStructureInner", TestStructureInner);
flash.net.registerClassAlias("VectorTestInner", Vector.<TestStructureInner> as Class);
This should allow us to read/write objects of type TestStructureInner, Vector.<TestStructureInner>, and Vector.<Vector.<TestStructureInner>> into ByteArrays. And in general it seems to work.
Attached though is a simplified test case that fails, however. The first time we deserialize the data it works. The subsequent time, however, we encounter the following runtime error #1034.

I have two cFP-2120 RT controller. They both have NI-Serial RT2.5.6, DataSocket for LV RT4.2, NI-VISA 3.6, FP Drivers 5.1.0, FP VI Manager 3.1.0 LV RT 7.1.1 installed. But one same vi can run on one controller but not another.
the error message got when it runs on another controller is "Error -32810 occurred at The FieldPoint server initialization failed. Possible causes: 1. Missing or corrupt configuration file; 2. Failed to create callbacks. : FP Open.vi"
I wonder by what it is caused?

As mentioned previously, this KnowledgeBase article may be of some help. Also, if your code is being run on an embedded controller and then a network controller (not embedded), you will need to run the program differently. On the embedded controller, you should deploy your VI in a Project Explorer or programmatically (as described here.) However, you do not need to deploy the program to a network controller, but simply run the VI.
I would also suggest creating a new .IAK file. Do you still see the same error? Also, double-check that the software installed on the controller matches the software installed on the host PC. If you have any file paths associated with one FieldPoint controller, ensure that you are changing them to match the second controller.

You can also test the issue in Safe mode.
