UCCX 5.0(2) Restore Stuck at 87%

Dear Team,
We do have UCCX 5.0(2) SR2 installed in HA model.
We backed up data, using the backup now tool of UCCX. we reinstalled both servers. Now we're restoring them.
During the erstore, everything is going fine without any error. The issue is that the restore window was stuck to the 87% without any error message (as you can see in the attached screenshot).
Checked the CPU and memory, no issues..
Any idea please ? Can you please advice ?
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards.

Hi Anchoudh,
Thanks for the reply.
In fact, u're right, it's at that moment that the system resyncs the data between CUCM and UCCX and asks for the login and password of CUCM AXL user. I have already entered the login and password with success and saw that the system is reassigning the Route Points to the CUCM application user with succes.
But the issue is that there is no progress after this action ! the browser is stuck like this, there is no other child window that need the user acceptance (checked with Task Manager), IE settings are also ok..
I really don't know what to do in this wierd situation.
Can you please advice ?
Thanks in advance.
Wajih.

  • IPCCX 5.0.2 Backup restore stuck at 33%

    Hi,
I'm trying to restore the configuration backup on my IPCCX 5.0.2 cluster but I'm facing an error as the Print Screen attached. Also the MCVD logs are attached.
First I installed the first node and successfully integrated it with CUCM 5.1.3 without any problems. Then I added the second IPCCX into the cluster and they are now in synch.
When I tried to restore the backup using the regular procedure it got stuck at 33%.
Can anybody help me on getting by this error and restore the backup completely.
    Best Regards,
    Visar

    Hi Visar,
Looking at error message I am suspecting that Node ID of both nodes are changed. Seems to be BUG:-CSCuc21921
    <B>Symptom:</B>
When upgrading or restoring a UCCX 7.0 system, the restore portion of the operation hangs at about 33%, and doesn't complete.
    The MCVD logs show:
CEST MCVD-ARCHIVE_MGR-2-RESTORE_FAILED Restore of the cluster failed: BARS Address=null,Archive id=CRS_1345714352117_,User=Scheduler,Exception=com.cisco.archive.impl.ArchiveFailureException: CloseSession request received
    <B>Conditions:</B>
This occurs when the system on which the restore was originated is not using the default node ID's of 1 and 2. THis can occur when a node is removed from the cluster, and another node is added, causing a node to be marked as deactivated in the cluster data config object, and a new one added.
    <B>Workaround:</B>
    None
MCVD Logs are corrupted. can you please upload it again . We can verify if its same BUG or not .

  • ICloud Restore stuck - keeps asking for old Apple ID

    Hello,
I've just gotten a iPhone 4S that I want to restore from an iCloud backup (I've had a 3GS previously). Unfortunately I'm running into problems as the restore process just doesn't finish. Some settings are restored just fine (contacts, messages, browser history, ...) while others are causing problems. In particular the photos & apps are not being downloaded. Apps are recognized but just sit on my screen "waiting".
I suspect that the cause for all this is that the last backup is from March 2012 (my 3GS died then) and in the meantime I've changed my Apple ID. During the restore it keeps asking for my old Apple ID, which is not longer active & I cannot log into.
Now I'm stuck since the phone decides to set the iCloud account to the old one and this cannot be changed as it tells me that I cannot delete the iCloud account during a restore is in progress...
Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated! Unforunately I don't have an iTunes backup and I really don't want to lose my data (especially the photos).
    Cheers,
    Florian

The solution to fix this mess was to temporarily change my AppleID name back to the one that was active when the iCloud backup was being made.

  • Time machine restore stuck on filevault password screen

I have a new macbook pro.  I am trying to restore from a backup on timemachine through migration assistant.  The problem is that the backup is too big to fit on this new computer's storage, so it attempts to do it and then fails.  which is fine, because it asks me which folders I want restored.  When I select the only folder I want restored It then becomes stuck at the filevault password screen.  (see attached image).

  • UCCX (7.0) Servers gets stuck

We have UCCX 7.0 in HA mode, one of the server (Primary or Secondary) gets stuck and we have to hard reboot the system and then it comes back to naormal. During this phase CRS administration page on that particular server does not open and even we can't access that particular server through remote desktop. What could be possible reason for this issue.

    Hi Anand,
As already mentioned that during this state the machine is no more accessilbe through remote desktop and if by any chance we get into it through remote desktop then the response of this machine is so slow that we can't open anything even task manager.
During this state I have checked on 2nd node through UCCX admin; all the services on the problematic machine were up. Last time when we had this issue on Primary node; i uploaded a prompt through UCCX admin on 2nd node and IVR was not playing that prompt. I did a hard reset of Primary node then IVR started playing that particular prompt; it looks like that replication between servers also stops during this state.
Could you identify the location of MCVD\MIVR logs; may be we can find something in these logs.

  • IPhone 5c won't restore, stuck between recovery mode & apple logo loop

    Hello all,
I got a lovely little iphone 5c secondhand. The only problem is that it will not cooperate with me.
At first, it was stuck in recovery mode, but I can switch it out of that, and into the apple logo loop or dfu.
No matter what I do though, (recovery mode, dfu, loop), it will NOT restore.
It gives me an error code of 3014 every time.
Once in awhile it also loads a screen of script, that ends in "panic, we're hanging here" or some such.
I HAVE seen it load to the lock screen twice now, but only for a split second. And while it did that, iTunes told me it couldn't connect to "Jessica's iPhone" due to the passcode. So I know something in there still works. Just not sure about what ISN'T working.
I'm REALLY hoping someone on here can help!
And sorry if I don't have all the info you need/posted in the wrong area. First time here.
    Thanks in advance!!

  • ICloud Restore stuck

I've got a new iPhone 6 plus and am restoring from an iCloud backup. So far, we're up to day 6 and it's still going. Photos and Apps seem to be loaded but I can't tell if there's other important stuff waiting to be restored. I have wiped my old phone so can't do an iTunes backup/restore from that - I just assumed the iCloud restore would work. Silly me!
I'm on decent wifi. Phone is plugged into power. But this is just crazy. I have seen some other threads saying to just stop the restore...but how do I know if I have missed something...until I actually need it?
Is there some way or diagnostic to see if it is truly still restoring, or if it is just stuck? I've also powered my phone on and off numerous times.
    Thanks in advance.

Huh, 6 days is excessive. I'm thinking about how we could genuinely tell if it's still doing anything.
You did the initial restore in the setup screens for the new iPhone 6 Plus, correct? Did the 6+ do an initial backup download and then reboot, and then entered into this six-day process? If so, then what it's downloading right now should just be purchased content, which *should* all be downloadable if you notice something (music, apps, etc) missing later. The big download & reboot was your actual backup restoration with all of your app data (even if the app isn't downloaded in the second stage yet), messages, settings, notes, etc.

  • HT4623 iPhone restore stuck half way through time remaining

    Hi,
I updated my phone to IOS 6 which then required a restore. I have attempted this multiple times but keep getting stuck about half way through the restore with time remaining going up to 12hrs or more. Can anyone help?
    Thanks

I imagine a ton of people are attempting to activate after the update, and the server is getting overloaded. Simple patience, maybe keep trying, and if possible, try a little later. Think of it as all those people lining up at Apple Stores + about a million more.

  • Mail Message Restore Stuck after completing a full system restore

I just completed a full system restore on my Macbook Pro using the "Restore From Backups" function. Upon the first boot up, I was greeted with a "Mail Message Import" Dialog Box asking to import my messages. It began importing alot of my folders but then became stuck on the "Deleted Messages" folder with 4500 out of 7000 messages already imported. The progress bar sits and never moves and the Time remaining amount begins to increase and increase. I have the option to cancel and if I do cancel and attempt to open Mail again, then I must complete the process over again. Ultimately becoming stuck at the same point of the import process each time.
    FYI
I have 5 email accounts set up (one iMap) on this machine.
Where is this being imported from?
Can I point it to another backup directory?
    Any Help is much appreciated.
    THanks,

Thanks Man! That WOrked!!!!! Your the best! and Thank you for those Kind words! Happy MacBooking!!

  • Cannot do Time Restore, stuck at blue screen

I wanted to do a time restore.
I put in the Installation disc to start up & press "C".
But it stuck at the blue screen. Now I cannot do anything except seeing the bluescreen & my installation disc remains inside !!
Any idea what shall I do next ?
    Thanks

Sounds like a bad disc or hardware problems.
Five ways to eject a stuck CD or DVD from the optical drive
Ejecting the stuck disc can usually be done in one of the following ways:
    1. Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the left mouse button until the disc ejects.
    2. Press the Eject button on your keyboard.
    3. Click on the Eject button in the menubar.
    4. Press COMMAND-E.
    5. If none of the above work try this:
Open the Terminal application in your Utilities folder. At the prompt enter or paste the following:
    /usr/bin/drutil eject.
If this fails then try this:
Boot the computer into single-user mode. At the prompt enter the same command as used above. To restart the computer enter "reboot" at the prompt without quotes.
    Thanks Kappy.
Nothing of the above works because the system doesn't even recognize any keyboard entry. Basically, whatever I do, it just stuck at the Blue screen.
I have given up & have turn off the whole thing & unplug the socket, waiting to call Apple Care on Monday (why must the system always hang up on me on weekends when Apple care is closed?)
But I think the God must be crazy & playing jokes on me. When I woke up in the morning, I plug the socket back & turn it on. I have no scientific explanation for this, the system just back to normal in record time !!
After a while, I did an software upgrade to iTunes 9 & the system slowed down again. So, i did a FULL Time Restore to yesterday's date followed by upgrading to iTunes 9 & it is fine now.
Any logical explanation to this ?
    Thanks

  • Time Machine restore stuck at 99%

I'm restoring my system from a TM backup and it's been running over night, near 11 hours at this point. Last night it spent hours at about 6% and I left it. When I woke up I was happy to see that it made it to 99.5 percent but when I moved the lightly, the spinner wheel popped up.
Right now it's been on the 99.5%, the blue level is not pulsing, and the spinner wheel is spinning. However, I can still hear the drive working in the same manner that it has been.
Any suggestions? Should I just let it sit for even longer and hope that it works itself past this or do you think it's frozen?

Hi, and welcome to the forums. Sorry about it being under such circumstances.
Where are your backups? If this is being done wirelessly, and you have a fairly large system, 11 hours may not be too long. Do you remember how long your very first backup took? If so, adjusting for how much data you've added since then, a full restore should take somewhat less time, other things being equal.
If it's been stuck at 99.5 % for a very long time, it may be hung, or (as happened to me once), it may actually be done but isn't saying so! About all you can do is force power-off and reboot.
If it wasn't done and doesn't reboot, start over. Disconnect everything but your keyboard and mouse (and external drive, if that's where your backups are). If you're using a Time Capsule or Airport, connect via an Ethernet cable. Make sure all connections are tight. If it's an external drive, try another cable and port, if you can. When you re-start the process, monitor the installation by selecting Window, then +Show Log+ and +Show All logs+ from the menubar. That should give you a better idea of what's going on; if it stalls again, at least you'll know where it was.
If all else fails, you may have to reinstall OSX and "migrate" from your TM backups. See the *Erase, Install, & Migrate* section of the Glenn Carter - Restoring Your Entire System / Time Machine *User Tip* at the top of this forum

  • IOS5 iPAD restore STUCK!!

My iPad is currently stuck at a black screen w/ apple logo, with the restore status bar is all way completed. The itunes restore status bar is also completed but is stuck at "restoring ipad software" as well.  I have let it sit like this for an hour or so with no results.  Have tried to download other firmware, itunes rejects it. Have only had it for 2 days, no software has been tampered with.  Resetting the iPad doesnt work either, have tried multiple times.  Anyone else have this issue? Help would be great!
    Thanks!
