UCCX - 8.0.2 - Doubt about critical services

Hi Guys,
About the Services UCCX in Control Center, except: Cisco Unified CCX Engine, Cisco Unified CCX Database service (many criticals). Are There anothers services considered many critical to UCCX work?
System Services
Cisco Unified CCX SNMP Java Adapter
Cisco Unified CCX Perfmon Counter Service
Cisco Unified CCX DB Perfmon Counter Service
Cisco Unified CCX Cluster View Daemon
Cisco Unified CCX Engine
Cisco Unified CCX Voice Subagent
Admin Services
Cisco Unified CCX Serviceability
Cisco Unified CCX Administration
DB Services
Cisco Unified CCX Database service.
Desktop Services
Cisco Desktop Recording and Playback Service
Cisco Desktop VoIP Monitor Service
Cisco Desktop LDAP Monitor Service
Cisco Desktop Sync Service
Cisco Desktop Call/Chat Service
Cisco Desktop Agent E-Mail Service
Cisco Desktop Browser and IP Phone Agent Service
Cisco Desktop License and Resource Manager Service
Cisco Desktop Enterprise Service
Cisco Desktop Recording and Statistics Service
Thanks,
Wilson

Hi,
You will have to first define the phrase: "for UCCX to work."
For example:
If all you care about is pinging the server then, no, none of those services are critical.
If you want UCCX to only answer inbound calls, then a certain subset of the services are critical.
If you want UCCX to deliver calls to Agents, then add a few more services.
If you need HA, then add another.
If you need Outbound, or DB integration, call recording, silent monitoring, or e-mail, etc, you'll add more services to the list.
To learn about the services, you can read the UCCX SRND, the Serviceability Guide, and then check out the Cisco Live presentation: BRKCCT-3005

  • Doubts about configurate services with JBI

    Hi people,
I have been looking for a way to develop a wizard for configuration of services in different ESBs from my web application.
I took a look at some presentations (like http://80.69.93.183/sun-evenementen/pdf/jbi_openesb.pdf and http://mediacast.sun.com/users/~armin/media/SunTechDays2007_OpenESB.pdf), and I would like ask you about possibilities to configure services in a ESB using JBI.
What I really want to do is allow that my web application connects to some ESBs to configure services into them. It's like to have the web interface that some of them provide to make the configuration from my web application.
I have been talking about this with some guys and two possibilities that they gave me are:
    1. To develop everything into the web application and send the information through JMX.
    2. To develop a generator of XML content (in memory) and send it the ESB, where it would has another implementation made by me, like a module (one of the guys said me that this could be a JBI Service Engine), which would receive the XML content generated by the web application.
Using the first one possibility, I would have all solution into my application and developing the other one, I would have one implementation to each ESB that I want to connect to if it wouldn't be done with JBI (I think.. right? Because it seams that it would be the same if I do it with JBI).
One guy told me that the second one would be the best, because, until he knows (based on the PoCs (proof of concept) he made, with JBossESB, Mule and WebSphere ESB), some of the ESBs he tested require some manual configuration to publish the services to be accessed through the ESB. He didn't do anything with JBI and didn't know anything about this.
Another thing is that if I deploy only once a JBI Service Engine (SE), I can do the configuration of every service I want to publish in the ESB through this SE. In other words, I won't need to ask to the admin of ESB do the configuration to me (or do it through the web interface of ESB).
Please, does anybody know if all the ESBs that support JBI give an interface to another application connects to them to configures services?
I thank you in advance for any information!

    Luiz

    HI,
There is a procedure to upgrade , first you need to update the kernal,ABAP stack, patches, javastack.

  • Doubt about preferred or available service.

I have a doubt about preferred or available service.
I have a Oracle RAC with 3 nodes.
I created a service GL, but I didn't setup available instance, only preferred instances with 2 instances (PROD1,PROD2)
    srvctl add service -d PROD -s GL -r PROD1,PROD2
    My doubt is:
If PROD1 instance dies, I would like to know if rac01 is restored automatically on rac02.
    Anybody can help me?
    Thanks in advance.
    Leonardo.

There are different ways for configure failover... below just an example :
    mydatabase.us.com =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = 192.100.124.91)(PORT = 1521))
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = 192.100.124.93)(PORT = 1521))
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = 192.100.124.95)(PORT = 1521))
    (LOAD_BALANCE = yes)
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SERVER = DEDICATED)
    (SERVICE_NAME = mydatabase.us.com)
    (FAILOVER_MODE =
    (TYPE = SELECT)
    (METHOD = BASIC)
    (RETRIES = 180)
    (DELAY = 5)
    Or... read the document :

  • Critical Services on CSS - All or Any?

I've configured vip redundancy on a pair of 11506. I would like critical services defined to failover when ALL the services are down or the upstream gateway is down. The documentation isn't very clear on this. There are simple examples and only the one line about an ALL SERVICES option. (see below)
"Local critical services for any service other than scripted or redundancy
uplink, such as a Web service. The VR goes down when all associated local
    critical services go down."
I assume you do the ALL services option by creating multipe critical services under the IP Interface. But the documentation doesn't say. Am I right?

    Hi Gilles,
Thanks for the weekend reply! I'd read that section on critical services. It lists three options. The first two will fail if ANY of the configured keepalives fail while the third we clarified how to do an ALL option.
What I really want to do is fail over when the upstream gateway is unreachable OR all services are down (basically a hybrid ANY/ALL option).
Rather than build a separate service should I use the existing ones? I'm already using port specific keepalives under my services (port 80 and a custom application TCP port).
Can I add a second keepalive type to each service with the ping script listing the server IP and upstream router IP? That way if the router fails the service is down.
I'm guessing if it isn't possible to add a second keepalive to a service I will need to write a custom script to accomplish what I'm trying to do. No biggie I'm just looking for the quickest way to do this.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Doubts about BP number in SRM and SUS

    Hello everyone,
I have some doubts about the BP number, especially for Vendors.
I am working with the implementation of SRM 5.0 with SUS in an extended classic scenario. We will use one server for SRM and other for SUS. We will use the self registration for vendor (in SUS). My questions are:
    - Can I have the same BP number in SRM and SUS?? Or is it going to be different??
    - When a vendor accesses at the site to make a self registration in SUS, the information is sent to SRM as prospect (by XI) and there the prospect is changed as vendor? After that, is it necessary to send something from SRM to SUS again? (to change the prospect to vendor)
    - When is it necessary to replicate vendors from SRM to SUS??
    Thanks
    Ivá

    Dear Ivan,
Here is answer to all your questions. Follow these steps for ROS configuration:
    Pls note:
    1. No need to have seperate clients for ROS and SUS. Create two clients for EBP and (SUS+ROS).
    2. No need of XI to transfer new registered vendor from ROS to EBP
    Steps to configure scenario:
    1. Make entries in SPRO --> "Define backend system" on both clients.
You will ahev specify logical systems of both the clients (ROS as well as EBP)
    2. Create RFCs on both clients to communicate with each other
    3. In ROS client create Service User for supplier registration service with roles:
        SAP_EC_BBP_CREATEUSER
        SAP_EC_BBP_CREATEVENDOR
Grant u201CS_A.SCONu201D profile to the user.
    4. Maintain service user in u201CLogon Datau201D tab of service : ros_self_reg in ROS client
    5. Create Purchasing and vendor Organizational Structure in EBP client and maintain necessary
attributes. create vendor org structure in ROS client
    6. Create your ROS registration questionnaires and assign to product categories- in ROS client
    7. To transfer suppliers from registration system to EBP/Bidding system, Supplier pre-screening has to be
defined as supplier directory in SRM server - EBP client.
Maintain your prescreen catalog in IMG --> Supplier Relationship Management u2192 SRM Server u2192
Master Data u2192 Define External Web Services (Catalogs, Vendor Lists etc.)
    8. Maintain this catalog Id in purchasing org structure under attribure "CAT" - in EBP client
    9. Modify purchaser role in EBP client:
Open node for u201CROS_PRESCREENu201D and maintain parameter "sap-client" and ROS client number
10.Maintain organizational data in make settings for business partner
Supplier Relationship Management -> Supplier Self-Services -> Master Data -> Make Settings for the Business Partners. This information is actually getting getting stored in table BBP_MARKETP_INFO.
    11. Using manage Business partner node with purchasers login (BBPMAININT), newly registsred vendors are pulled from Pre-screen catalog and BP is created in EBP client. If you you have SUS scenario, ensure to maintain "portal vendor" role here.
I hope this clarifies all your doubts.
Pls reward points for helpful answers
    Regards,
    Prashant

  • Doubts about use of REPORTS_SERVERMAP with Forms11g HA

    Hi,
I'm configuring a Linux 64bits Forms/Reports 11g HA environment, the point is that i have two nodes, each one with its Forms and Reports servers, let's say FormsA and ReportsA for the first node and FormsB and ReportsB for the seconde node.
i want FormsA to be able to call reports from ReportsB and FormsB to be able to call reports from ReportsA.
    I've been reading about REPORT_SERVERMAP
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E12839_01/bi.1111/b32121/pbr_conf003.htm#autoId5
But i have some doubts about its use:
    1. I will not use a shared cluster file system or any way of cache solution, i will only have my rdf files on each node, and i'm wondering if just by configuring this parameter i will be able to get the effect mentioned above ??
    2. The link provided says "Using RUN_REPORT_OBJECT. If the call specifies a Reports Server cluster name instead of a Reports Server name, the REPORTS_SERVERMAP environment variable must be set in the Oracle Forms Services default.env file"
In fact i'm using RUN_REPORT_OBJECT but
what is the Reports Server cluster name ?? and where do i find that name ??
    3. Is this configuration well defined:
    REPORTS_SERVERMAP=clusterReports:ReportsA;clusterReports:ReportsB
    4. At forms applications when using RUN_REPORT_OBJECT, can i assume that the report server name will be the cluster name specified at the REPORTS_SERVERMAP ??
    5. Which files should i modify rwservlet.properties or default.env ??
Hope you can help me :)
    Regards
    Carlos

    Hi,
    1. I will not use a shared cluster file system or any way of cache solution, i will only have my rdf files on each node, and i'm wondering if just by configuring this parameter i will be able to get the effect mentioned above ??
--> In such case what could go wrong is
Suppose Run_report_object executed jobs successfully to ReportsA
But web.show_document command for getjobid failed ( as ReportsA went down by this time)
--> You will not get the output shown ( though job was successful)
If shared cache was enabled, then Even if ReportsA is down, other cluster member ( say ReportsB)
    will respond back to web.show_document.
    Point 2,
--> Under HA is it highly recommended to use web.show_document ( a servlet call) to execute reports. This is to help use all HA features at the HTTP , Webcache or load balancer level.
However if there is migrated code or Run_report_object is must, then the recommendations as you see in the pointed document is must.
REPORTS_SERVERMAP setting needs to be configured in rwservlet.properties file and also in default.env Forms configuration file to map the Reports Server cluster name to the Reports Server running on the mid-tier where the Load Balancer forwarded the report request.
For example FormsA, ReportsA, cluster name say rep_cluster
    default.env file
    REPORTS_SERVERMAP=rep_cluster:ReportsA
Where "rep_cluster" is the Reports Server cluster name and "ReportsA" is the name of the Reports Server running on the same machine as FormsA
    rwservlet.properties file
    <reports_servermap>rep_cluster:ReportsA</reports_servermap>
At default.env this is not a valid entry
    REPORTS_SERVERMAP=clusterReports:ReportsA;clusterReports:ReportsB
what is the Reports Server cluster name ?? and where do i find that name ??
--> This is created via EM on the report server side.
Would recommend to refer following documents at the myoracle support repository
How to Setup Reports HA (High Availability - Clusters) in Reports 11g [ID 853436.1]

  • Doubt about Patch

    Hi everyone!
I have a doubt about applying patch.
I just applied this patch (using GUI):
    Oracle® Database Patch Set Notes
    *10g Release 2 (10.2.0.4) Patch Set 3 for Microsoft Windows (32-Bit)*
Initially, there was an error stating that some other process is accessing one particular dll.
    I ignored it.
I rerun the patch installation thinking that I need to get that dll as well.
It gave a list of what has been installed and what can be installed.
So, I selected all the remainders and installed.
It was successful. Now, would it have ignored that dll or installed it?
    Please advice.
    Thanks in advance.
    Cheers!

I rerun the patch installation thinking that I need to get that dll as well.
It gave a list of what has been installed and what can be installed.
So, I selected all the remainders and installed.
It was successful. Now, would it have ignored that dll or installed it?
    Please advice.
    Thanks in advance.
    Cheers!

Edited by: user645399 on Nov 26, 2010 10:24 AMEvenif you've stopped all the windows services, sometimes some DLLs remains utilized. What I do is, make all the oracle related services manual and then restart the server.
You can't ignore any dll related errors. If a dll is in use, oracle patching process will not replace that with a newer version of dll. I'll strongly recommend the use of ' Microsoft Process Monitor' utility to monitor, what is running on my server.

  • Doubt about scope of instance variable

    Hi All,
i have a doubt about scope of instance variable.
if i declare a instance variable in servlet , i want to know whether it can be shared(means everywhere ) or not.
    thanks in advance
    Gopal

The servlet container will create one servlet object, and run multiple threads through its service() / doGet() / doPost() methods.
That means that any instance variables of the servlet are shared between multiple requests, and can cause problems with threads accessing the same variable..
    To make your servlets thread-safe
1 - have no instance variables - only use local variables in the doGet/doPost method.
2 - use the session scope for storing variables you need over multiple calls.

  • ASR and suspending critical services

    Hi All
I have two old CSS 11500 that are doing nothing but providing load balancing for 2 terminal servers.
As per the documentation, I setup my ASR config (at least i think its right).  I'm now faced with two problems:
Problem #1:  If I suspend the first Terminal Server service on CSS-1, CSS-2 takes over and continues to allow connectivity until the service on CSS-2 is suspended.  Is this normal behavoir?
Problem #2:  Once I suspend the service on both servers, My rule goes down.  Show summary says the state is down and I cannot access any terminal server at all.  I am assuming this is because I have them configured as critical services, can anyone confirm?  If so, what is the process to suspend a service temporarily?
One other question,  I have been using in testing balance aca (configs below are set to leastconn), but i'm not sure if it will work with RDP.  Can anyone confirm?  Should I instead be using leastconn or one of the others?
    Many thanks!
    Mark

    #1
The critical service should be  an upstream/downstream device, not the services that you are using for loadbalance. That's why the CSS failover everytime you suspend one of the services.
Here are more details about it:
    http://tools.cisco.com/squish/e0272
    #2
The VIP is INSERVICE when at least one of the services in the Content Rule is Alive.  If all the services in the Content Rule are down, the VIP address will be down as well.

  • Doubt about diference between SAPconsole and SAPmobile

    Hello,
I have been many doubts about diference between sapconsole and sapmobile, if anyone could help me I appreciate.
    1) I have ECC6 instaled, the SAP Mobile is compatible with ECC6 or I need of Netweaver Instaled ?
    2) If Possible to Install Sap Mobile in ECC6 , I have to Buy a license of sap mobile ?
    3) in any product instaled Windows CE have possible to install sap mobile ?
    4) In sap console what is the requirement for to do this configuration?
I Anybody to know about this informations please explain for me ?
    Thanks

    My apology,
The Basic Diference beteween SAPConsole and SAPMobile is :
    SAPConsole ==>
1 ) Don' t need a new Hardaware for to configurate
2 ) Only need a Machine with the IIS service installed
3 ) The SAPGui CD content the SAPCOnsole.exe for configuration
4 ) The equipment like Pocket and datacolletor has been to configurated in a Network( but if to have a entrance in the SAPGUi indicate a SAProuter in another factory is possible to have acesses.. ) is a mandatory. Cause the SAPCOnsle folow the SAPGUI entrances and need a LAN or a WAN configurated.
    Advantage
    simple to congurated and chip.
Easy to create to new window cause the SAPConsole only plubish this window in Browser.
    Disadvantage
Need a lincense for each Poket or Datacolletor, wherever the equipment you will use.
Doesn't have a Database  using through Browser (IE6 or IE7) this way , during the processes lost network you go to lost the information not saved.
    SAPMobile
1 ) Need the a good Machine  with a instance of SAP configurate
2 ) Have to found the EXE in the MarketPlace
3 ) is not publish, and yes a client with the database configurate in equipment
4 ) The equipment like Pocket and datacolletor has been to configurated in a Network
    Advantage
Need only one SAP License, doesn't metter how many equipment  in use you have.
As the SAPMobile has a Database in the client , if you lost the network it goes to save in the local database and when the network come back , it will to synchronize. This way you don't need to work online every moment, you get to synchronize after.
    Disadvantage
You profit in license is your lost in the Machine cause the price of Machine is expensive.
is configurate only in windows Mobile.
The window only can be create for a Developement and not in the SAP, have been created in windows Mobile.
A tip, the both is good but you can do a simple mathematics.
In the SAPConsole how much money you go to spend is the least of the Machine s Price.
If yes confurate the SAPConsole , if not configurate the SAPMobile

  • Letter Sent To Corporate, Maybe a miscommunication about 3G service?

First of all, I want to say that I do love my Droid X and I do love Verizon Service, that is if you're in a Verizon Service area.  If Verizon had a tower in my area, I would be more than satisifed.
Here is the letter I sent, maybe this will be easier than rephrasing/retyping what I want to say:
I recently joined the Verizon Wireless network on October 30, 2010.  I switched to Verizon from AT&T because of the poor customer service and signal reception.  I came to Verizon with four lines, one being a Droid X with all of the nice features.  I signed up for service in Barbourville, WV at the Huntington Mall in West Virginia.  I live in Pikeville, KY which Verizon Wireless does not service, although you do have domestic partnerships with a local company called Appalachian Wireless.  I understood that I would have an Ashland, KY phone number and would be in an extended network when I went home, that was explained to me very clearly by the representative in the Verizon Wireless Store.
I am writing you today because I believe that I was misinformed on a very important reason as to why I did switch to Verizon Wireless other than reception and customer service.   I did try to email customer service about this issue and the response I got back was to reboot the phone after taking the battery out for a few seconds.  This had nothing to do with the issue.  My issue is that I was told by the Verizon Wireless Representative in Huntington Mall in Barbourville, WV that I would be able to use 3G in the extended network.  I was very excited about finally being able to access to the mobile web with 3G speeds.  When I finally moved back home after doing a bit of traveling, I was very disappointed.  I was in the extended network with a 1X 2G connection.  I go to college here and I am here 98% of the time so now I am stuck with a big fat contract with a poor data connection.
Today, I learned that AT&T has now begun their process of bringing 3G here to Pikeville, KY.  They’re just behind Sprint who activated it a few months ago and also Appalachian Wireless.  I was so disappointed that I called Appalachian Wireless (the carrier you have the partnership with) about this issue.  Appalachian Wireless told me that they would in fact allow Verizon Wireless Customers to use their 3G network, but Verizon Wireless would not negotiate a deal as far as prices go.  The representative from Appalachian said that it was not they who would not allow us to use their network, but Verizon Wireless not wanting to pay their prices.  I understand that Verizon does have an agreement with Bluegrass Cellular to allow us to roam off of their 3G network, so the reason I am writing is why not us here in Pikeville, KY?  I have several friends who I have suggested come to Verizon here recently because I am a loyal customer and fan of the company’s innovation and loyalty to its customers.  We have 3 colleges, 2 high schools, a grade school, and the third largest banking industry in the state of Kentucky here within a 5 mile radius of The City of Pikeville.  I know of several customers who have Verizon but are stuck with this same issue.
I would like to resolve this issue but if I do not hear back with an appropriate response unlike the email I did send to your technical support.  I would like to see if we could negotiate an early termination of the contract.  My phones are still in mint condition that I purchased.  I feel that I was misled by the representative at the store; I am very satisfied as far as call quality and reception.  I am just disappointed that while everyone else is excited about our new 3G here and 4G in the future, I am stuck with a 2nd generation data connection that is useless on today’s phones.  I am paying $30 a month for a 2G connection which to me is not fair.  Since I feel I was misled, I would like to be able to return the phones and have a refund of some sort.  I would love to stay with Verizon, but in my local area here it just isn’t possible to use this service when it is constantly roaming with slow speeds.   I spoke with a leader at Appalachian Wireless and he said to contact you about the issue and maybe something can be done quicker about the issue.  I am fairly advanced when it comes to cell phone networks and carriers.  Before I signed up for Verizon Wireless, I checked the coverage map and it did say that I would have digital coverage which I thought was 3G and this is what the representative even pointed out to me in the store, but I do not like being stuck with this 2 year contract and have an ancient data connection.  Can someone please contact me about either helping me terminate my contract early or about working out a deal with Appalachian Wireless?  I will continue to hold my shares of Verizon Wireless as I believe it is a very innovative and sound company, but I have to do what I have when it comes to my wireless service.  I am very unfortunate not to have Verizon Wireless in my area, but I hope to see you guys come into the area sometime soon.  As I understand you do own the 1900 MHz spectrum here.
    END LETTER:
My Phone says 1X, and I have an App that tells me in more detail.  1xRTT, I wouldn't mind to use extended 3G if it were availible, but the main reason I switched was for this reason.  Appalachian Wireless was the only 3G carrier around here and I knew Verizon used the same technology, so I knew it would roam.  The lady did explain to me I would be roaming, I understood that, but she did leave out an important part... no 3G, just 1X.
I am not trying to cry and get out of a contract, I just don't believe in paying $200 a month for a bill and expecting A while getting B.  The phone worked all nice and great with 3G in the store, that was until I got back home.
    Thanks again guys.
PS:  I have already contacted customer service, technical support, and wrote emails.  This or the letters is my last resort.

Look what a broad area there that is lit up extended network, it's the entire eastern half of the state and she was within 45 minutes of that.  I knew I would be roaming, but not without 3G.  She said I would have 3G, big difference.
I pay my bill AHEAD of time and happily paid all my due's to Verizon, I've been holding up my end..
As Spottedcatfish stated, you had 30 days. Two hours or not, that drive would have saved you the aggravation you are facing now.
You mention look at the map, I did.  It CLEARLY states you are in a 1x extended network. Maybe the clerk thought you said Pineville, not Pikeville.Either way, it does not matter. VZW gave you an out and you did not take advantage of it. Even your title indicates that maybe it was NOT a miscommunication. "Letter Sent To Corporate, Maybe a miscommunication about 3G service?"
It being 4 months later, I think you may have to bite the bullet... Sell the phones on Ebay use the money to offset the cost of the ETF's. Or hold up your end for another 20 months.
And you may not be costing VZW anything extra. Many times the  roaming agreements are reciprocal, meaning  VZW gets to have their millions of subs roam without cost to VZW. In return the much smaller companies few customers get to roam on VZW and the company pays a much lower roaming fee than if they did not not allow VZW to roam.

  • Doubt about  a null value assigned to a String variable

    Hi,
I have a doubt about a behavior when assigning a null value to a string variable and then seeing the output, the code is the next one:
    public static void main(String[] args) {
            String total = null;
            System.out.println(total);
            total = total+"one";
            System.out.println(total);
}the doubt comes when i see the output, the output i get is this:
    null
nulloneA variable with null value means it does not contains a reference to an object in memory, so the question is why the null is printed when i concatenate the total variable which has a null value with the string "one".
Is the null value converted to string ??
    Please clarify
    Regards and thanks!
    Carlos

null is a keyword to inform compiler that the reference contain nothingNo. 'null' is not a keyword, it is a literal. Beyond that the compiler doesn't care. It has a runtime value as well.
total contains null value means it does not have memory,No, it means it refers to nothing, as opposed to referring to an object.
for representation purpose it contain "null"No. println(String) has special behaviour if the argument is null. This is documented and has already been described above. Your handwaving about 'for representation purpose' is meaningless. The compiler and the JVM don't know the purpose of the code.
e.g. this keyword shows a hash value instead of memory addressNo it doesn't: it depends entirely on the actual class of the object referred to by 'this', and specifically what its toString() method does.
similarly "total" maps null as a literal.Completely meaningless. "total" doesn't 'map' anything, it is just a literal. The behaviour you describe is a property of the string concatenation operator, not of string literals.
I hope you can understand this.Nobody could understand it. It is compete nonsense. The correct answer has already been given. Please read the thread before you contribute.

  • Doubt about Select statement.

    Hi folks!!
I have a few doubts about the select statements, it may be a silly things but its useful for me.
what is   difference between below statment.
    1)SELECT * FROM TABLE.
    2)SELECT SINGLE * FROM TABLE
    3)SELECT SINGLE FROM TABLE.
Hope i will get answer, thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Richie..

    Hi,
try this and if possible use sap help.i mean place the cursor on select and press F1.
                 Types of select statements:
    1.     select * from ztxlfa1 into table it.
This is simple select statement to fetch all the data of db table into internal table it.
       2.   select * from ztxlfa1 into table it where lifnr between 'V2' and 'V5'.
Thisis using where condition between v2 and v5.
      4. select * from ztxlfa1 where land1 = 'DE'. "row goes into default table work Area
      5. select lifnr land1 from ztxlfa1
into corresponding fields of it   "notice 'table' is omitted
             where land1 = 'DE'.
              append it.
               endselect.
Now data will go into work area. and then u will add it to internal table by
            append statement.
      6.   Table 13.2 contains a list of the various forms of select as it is used with internal tables and their relative efficiency. They are in descending order of most-to-least efficient.
Table 13.2  Various Forms of SELECT when Filling an Internal Table
    Statement(s)                                   Writes To
    select into table it                                    Body
select into corresponding fields of table it   Body
    select into it                                    Header line
select into corresponding fields of it           Header line
    7. SELECT VBRK~VBELN
           VBRK~VKORG
           VBRK~FKDAT
           VBRK~NETWR
           VBRK~WAERK
           TVKOT~VTEXT
           T001~BUKRS
           T001~BUTXT
INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE IT_FINAL
        FROM VBRK
INNER JOIN TVKOT ON VBRKVKORG = TVKOTVKORG
        INNER JOIN T001 ON VBRKBUKRS = T001BUKRS
WHERE VBELN IN DOCNUM AND VBRK~FKSTO = ''
       AND VBRK~FKDAT in date.
Select statement using inner joins for vbrk and t001 and tvkot table for this case based on the conditions
    8. SELECT T001W~NAME1 INTO  TABLE IT1_T001W
FROM T001W INNER JOIN EKPO ON T001WWERKS = EKPOWERKS
    WHERE EKPO~EBELN = PURORD.
here selecting a single field into table it1_t001winner join on ekpo.
    9. SELECT BUKRS LIFNR EBELN FROM EKKO INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF IT_EKKO WHERE     EBELN IN P_O_NO.
    ENDSELECT.
SELECT BUTXT   FROM T001 INTO  IT_T001 FOR ALL ENTRIES IN IT_EKKO WHERE BUKRS = IT_EKKO-BUKRS.
    ENDSELECT.
    APPEND IT_T001.
here I am using for all entries statement with select statement. Both joins and for all entries used to fetch the data on condition but for all entries is the best one.
    10. SELECT AVBELN BVTEXT AFKDAT CBUTXT ANETWR AWAERK INTO TABLE ITAB
                 FROM  VBRK AS A
INNER JOIN TVKOT AS B ON
                 AVKORG EQ BVKORG
INNER JOIN T001 AS C ON
                 ABUKRS EQ CBUKRS
WHERE  AVBELN IN BDOCU AND AFKSTO EQ ' ' AND B~SPRAS EQ
                 SY-LANGU
AND AFKDAT IN BDATE AND AVBELN EQ ANY ( SELECT VBELN FROM
VBRP WHERE VBRP~MATNR EQ ITEMS ).
Here we are using sub query in inner join specified in brackets.
    Thanks,
    chandu.
