UCCX Screen Pops

Hello,
I am new to the Contact Center environment. I have been task with trying to assist in the collaboration of a 3rd party application (Ticketing System) and UCCX 8.5.1. I am trying to find out where we could place a url in a script. I will need for the url to pop up once a call comes in.  We will then populate the ticket with the customer information. My portion of the project is determining where to place the url. Any assistance would be highly appreciated.

Start by taking a look at the Cisco Desktop Administrator user guide.  I included a link below.  There is a section titled "HTTP Action" which discusses how you can configure the desktop to pop up a URL with parameters from the agent desktop.

  • UCCX Screen Pop doesnt close when call is finished

    UCCX Agents using CAD for a Bank.
    Callers enter their account number and check their balances and other automated things.
    They decide to speak to an agent and press the appropriate digit.
    The call comes to CAD with name, account number, balance, and contact info.
    When the call ends, and even if the agent disables, that screen pop info is still displayed.   Why don’t the previous caller ‘call variables’ disappear when the agent disconnects the call and even goes into a not ready state?
    I am tol this is the Way CAD has always oprated.  You always see the details from the last call you were on, until a new call is answered. 
    Is this normal beghavior and really nothing we can do to have it close upon call disconnect?

    The idea would be that the info is still available for the agent to refer to when wrapping up the call and doing whatever work follows on.
    The thinking is presumably that there isn't really any benefit to having it clear when there is nothing to replace it with yet.

  • How to enable screen pops with UCCX 8.5

    I have done a lot of reading on this, but I'm not finding enough information on it to help (or at least not in a way that I understand).  I am trying to create an HTML based screen pop that would contain Enterprise Data pulled from the Microsoft CRM record of the person calling.  Within that screen pop would also be a link to the actual CRM record for the agent to follow.
    I've read things like need to use HTTP GET and HTTP POST, but I don't see those as steps within the Script Editor.
    The web page would either be using the integrated browser in CAD or a new IE (or other) browser window, external to CAD.
    Is this possible?  If so, how would I, at the very least, get started.

    I have been able to create an "Agent Notification" action that it works (pops up message box at Ringing and at Answered) and I've created a "Launch External Application" (at Ringing) step to open IE (as a test) that also works so I know I have my rules and conditions figured out.  That means the problem has to be with my "HTTP action" step or whatever allows that action to work.  Following steps I found in the guide, here is my HTTP action step:
    Name: HTTP:Action_ScreenPop
    Protocol: http
    Method: Get (also tried Post)
    Host: www.google.com
    Port: 80
    Path: search
    Browser tab: HTTP Web Browser Tab 1
    Request Data:

    With all of those settings, I can hit Test button and I get an IE window to pop up that takes me to a google search for Cisco Systems.  However, going through the process live, I get nothing.  Any thoughts on what I'm missing?

  • UCCX 10.5 Scripting: Allowing a CAD Task Button to Change A Boolean Value to Skip a Screen Pop

    Good Morning All...
    I've found some wonderful information on here in the past and I'm hoping you all can assist me now.
    I have a CCX Script (10.5(1)SU1) that is working beautifully. Within the CAD integration there is a screen pop which sends an ANI value to a corporate application to bring up customer information, this is also working with no issue. I've been given a request from the call center manager to put a task button on the agents' CAD instance to allow them to turn off these screen pops in the event that they need to be on the same screen for longer than the work/wrap-up time between calls.
    My Questions Are These:
    1. I know I can use a task button to set an Enterprise Data value i.e. skip_pop = true (skip_pop being tied to the Boolean value in the script). That being said, I can't change the value until the call reaches the agent and that is too late in the process to stop the prompt from running. Is there a better/different way that I am not thinking off to allow the agent to interact with Boolean value before the call arrives to the agent?
    2. Am I completely off base? Is there a much better way that I can do this in general?

    So I'm in the midst of working through this mess for a button push and I've hit a wall. Perhaps you'll have some insight? In my CDA (see screen shot) I've configured an HTTP action that is in theory sending the agent ID and a value of true.
    In my child script (attached) I have a Get HTTP contact info where I am looking for "Agent_ID" and "sPopState" when I do a test run with a reactive debug I am getting success but the database is basically adding lines but with no information in either column (I have verified that my DB is working correctly).
    Do you by chance have any idea what I might be missing? I'd like to think I'm close but I'm getting into dark territory for my experience level.
    As always, your help and expertise are greatly appreciated.

    My iPhone 3Gs randomly shutting off at any given moment. I could be in the middle of a text, a call, or doing some games and it'll just shut off.
    Now here's the unique part. When I go to turn it back on, the apple loading screen pops up but it takes somewhere from 3-5 minutes for it to boot up. Then the lock screen with the time and whatnot shows up. From this point on, my iPhone has a chance to shut itself back down and I have to repeat the process over and over again. Most of the time the lock screen flashes and then goes straight to black (shut down) but sometimes I can make it a few menus before it shuts itself down.
    The only way to keep the iPhone on is to plug it into a charger of any sort. I'm fairly certain it isn't a battery charge issue because this happens at any % of power and sometimes my iPhone can use up all of its charge and not have this happen while other times I can be at 90-100% and it could randomly shut itself down. What can I do in this situation if some has some solution to this problem please let me know on [email protected] Thanks!

It won't let me type in letters only numbers. I already did the serial number once. How do I get this to work? I don't want to be a programer!

    Please follow these directions to delete the Mail "sandbox" folder.
    Back up all data.
    Triple-click the line below to select it:
    ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail
    Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
    Services ▹ Reveal
    from the contextual menu.* A Finder window should open with a folder named "com.apple.mail" selected. If it does, move the selected folder — not just its contents — to the Desktop. Leave the Finder window open for now.
    Quit and relaunch Mail, and test. If the problem is resolved, you may have to recreate some of your Mail settings. You can then delete the folder you moved and close the Finder window. If you still have the problem, quit Mail again and put the folder back where it was, overwriting the one that may have been created in its place. Post your results.
    Caution: If you change any of the contents of the sandbox, but leave the folder itself in place, Mail may crash or not launch at all. Deleting the whole sandbox will cause it to be rebuilt automatically.
    *If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C). In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder...
    from the menu bar, paste into the box that opens (command-V). You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

    I am doing a Siebel screen pop customization and am having trouble figuring out how to open my desired view in query mode when the call comes in. I have specified my BusComp and BusObj as well as my SingleView in the custom EventResponse but am not sure where and how to specify the mode which I want the view to open in.
    Anyone know how to do this?

    I am a Siebel newbie and am trying to figure out how to do a few things with custom screen pops.
    My EventResponse looks like this:

    QuerySpec = "[<fieldName>] = '{<variableName>}'"
    SingleView = "<viewName>"
    So the specified view will show when there is a match on the variableName. In case that variable is empty or a match is not found, then I would like to have the view open in query mode. I am doing this directly in the Siebel Admin Configuration but it doesn't seem that there is a way to tell the applet which mode to open in here.
    If I set the Auto Query Mode to 'New Query' in Siebel Tools, will my specification for SingleView in EventResponse override it and show the view with that record found?

  • I cannot access the internet using firefox. The little toolbar identical (the far upper right in the screen) pops up and nothing else happerns. This has only started very recently and I have not had this problem in the past.

    When I click on the icon for firefox, a little toolbar (the one you see in the top right corner of the screen) pops up and nothing else happens. I'll close it out and retry, with only the same results. I tried Firefox safemode, with the same result. Like there is something blocking me, but I don't know what. It doesn't matter if I've been on the computer for some time or just started up, I cannot access the web thru Firefox. This has only started in the last couple days. Previously, I've never had this problem. I haven't loaded any new programs anytime recently to account for this. I use Norton for my anti virus program which is the newest and had since end of December. I am not happy having to use the windows internet explorer, so would be very happy to get this resolved. Should I uninstall the mozilla program, and then reinstall it?

    Do you have a "real" IP address or a private (192.168.x.x, 10.x.x.x, 172.x.x.x) IP address?

    Could not access it because their network security blocked you by intent, or had some unknown technical difficulty?
    Unless you are blocked by intent or ommission (if they have to explicitly allow your machine) I can think of no technical reason why your wired connection should not both get you on their network and on the internet in general. You should not need to be dual homed (though dual homing should work as well).
    Please answer the questions above when you can - I think solving the wired LAN issue will be easier if you are not being intentionally blocked.

    Hi You may have a hardware fault take ipad to Apple Store. Ring then first to make an Appointment take box and you purchase paperwork they may give you A replacement. Before you do that Try a Reboot hold down power button & menu button hold both down until you see Apple Logo you may need to hold down for up to 30 Seconds But you may need to do this more than once. If it doesn't work take back to Apple Store. Cheers Brian

    Make sure you have cookies enabled and clear your cache.  If it continues to fail try using a different browser.
    You can also download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
    Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.

    1. now questions araises on how we should assign call to same agent who got call routed.
    2. how to sync up both cti and ic webcient so that there is no time lapse
    i have seen few experts implemented similar solution How to trigger a search in CRM IC
    "server-side integration between CRM 5.0 IC WebClient and web-based telephony client
    running besides. We used same technique as ICI interface to communicate IC WebClient,
    i.e. simple abap messaging (SAM). Restriction: works only INBOUND"
