Udev problems still - 060-3 won't process my custom rules

Following the problems with 060-1, I went back to 058-4 - everything was fine, as expected. When I saw 060-2 and then 060-3 in current, I figured I'd give it another shot. It looked fine initially i.e. it didn't break my network. However, none of my custom rules for USB devices are working under 060-3.
So I'm back to 058-4 - and everything's fine again.

i have two rules files in /etc/udev/rules.d :
00-perso.rules
10-udev.rules
all my usb stick rules are in my perso files.
even if the pero file should be treated first, my usb sticks and ipod were not detected and treated according to my perso rules.
I had to comment out most of the scsi rules in 10-udev.rules for it to work:

only after that my usb sticks were detected and processed by udev with my own rules.
I just installed ARCH for the first time a few days ago so i don't know if this problem was due to the new udev version or not.

Holy crap, I got it to work.
Essentially, I just waited until DiskWarrior reached Step 9 and told it to skip the step before it had a chance to freeze. It skipped successfully, moved on, rebuilt and replaced the faulty directory files.
So far the computer is booting like normal, I can log in, and I'm currently copying all of the data to an external as I type this.
I still have no idea why the computer wouldn't mount or boot to any drive, but I guess I'll deal with that later.

Did the back and forth between PC and Mac file systems screw up my files somehow?
Yes. Unfortunately the move has almost certainly caused the loss of the resource data that would have been (invisibly) attached to those files.
By adding a specific .mov extension after the fact you will have helped the Mac correctly identify the file type / asscoiations but also significantly you will have physically changed the filename eg from "clip" to "clip.mov". This means that when you come to reconnect the media in FCP , then FCP will be looking for files that no longer exist at the given path eg when specifically looking for our example clip called "clip" of course it won't find it.
Try this as a test... first remove the ".mov" extension from one or more of the clips, select those clips and press Cmd-Opt-I to open an Info window for the selection. You'll see an "Open with:" popup and in that popup you should choose QuickTime Player (if its a Unix Executable then it will initially list Terminal as the appropriate app, you have to choose Other... then in the open dialog choose Enable > All Applications and then navigate to and select the Quicktime Player app as the appropriate app). After you've done that restart FCP and see if you can now reconnect to those clips.

My Firefox won't quit and gives a "not responding" message after I use Google Mail. I have tried starting in "safe" mode and the problem still occurs.

Persistent hang problem still unsanswered

SOMEBODY here must have a clue on this one. I've spent weeks on it myself, tried the local Apple Store, had a tune-up from a Mac repair shop and still ...
Periodically I will try to eject a CD from iTunes and the application will hang. When I Force Quit it's still there but won't do anything. Try to eject using Toast Titanium, which only causes IT to hang. Can't eject the disc from the finder; have to restart the computer.
Looking at the Console.log I find only this error:

At first I thought this was a RAM or USB bus problem. Had RAM and CPU checked out at Apple Store and they are A-OK. Removed my IOGear PCI USB card. No help.
For some reason the problem seems centered around audio-related apps: iTunes, Toast Titanium, and (sometimes) Peak Pro.

Honestly, when a system has lots of add-ons as your appears to have, you can get funky interaction which sometimes doesn't even seem logical.
What I do on my Macs is to create a test account, and when I install software that has the option, I only install for the main user account.
That makes troubleshooting much easier.
Another thing you can try is to boot into safe mode (shift key until login) and see if this persists.
BTW, Toast is up to version 8.0.1, do you have that update?

Won't Process Album Artwork!

I entered the correct artists and album name, but it still won't process the artwork. The album is "Across the Universe (Music from the Motion Picture)" with the artists being "Various Artists"... It says artwork could not be found every time I try to get the artwork. Anyone know what's wrong?

That might not be a correct statement. If the itunes store has a blank space after the album name, you would not be able to see it. And from my past experience, that is enough for itunes not to fetch the artwork.
Also their underlying database can be wrong, even if it displays OK. A few years back, they had Led Zeppelin that would not fetch artwork until someone figured out to misspell it to Lead Zeppelin (they have since fixed that particular problem).
You can fiddle around seeing what they have done wrong, email them to report a problem, or just find artwork on the web and paste it in. The last option is certainly the quickest!

Arch not booting after update due to udev problems

since an update yesterday one of my systems won't boot anymore.
I tried several solutions mentioned in the forum with no success:
1) went back to an older kernel
2) uninstalled and reinstalled mkinitcpio, delete and got a new mkinitcpio.conf
and ran mkinitcpio -p kernel26 on the kernel
I had a sort of success by disabling autoloading in rc.conf. Instead of just crashing
as with autoload enabled it went through to the boot prompt. But I couldn't test any further because I had only usb-keyboard available and that didn't work due to some a missing module I guess . I'll try to get my hands on a PS2 keyboard and look how far I can get later.
I think the key to the problem might be that I use JFS for both root and home partition (ext2 for boot). From the error messages before the crash it looks like the computer can't reach the root-device. I tried to add jfs to the modules section of mkinitcpio.conf and ran mkinitcpio -p kernel26 again but no change.
Maybe someone can give me a hint how to get the system up again and fixing the udev problems. This setup did work for the last couple of months so maybe there was some recent change in this regard I overlooked.
I'm using testing repos and thats what might happen at bleeding edge, no complaining . Nevertheless I would be very interested to understand whats happening and how do get the system up again.

I had merged the pacnew-files already. I read through the udev-readme and did the suggested changes (for example in modprobe.conf) but still not able to boot.
If I boot failsafe I can actually read an error message on the screen instead of blanking out:

/dev/sda3 is the correct root-device but I have no raid. I have two hdd's (one IDE, one SATA) and one DVD-RAM on IDE as slave, nothing more, nothing less.
If I boot via install-cd I can mount /dev/sda3. Sometimes I have to run fsck first because mount complains about bad superblock but after fsck I can mount without problem although it didn't report any error. I'm confused.
Any ideas?

Try closing the Camera app via the taskbar and see if it works properly when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Camera app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Camera app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
And by restart do you mean a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear (you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot). If not, and if closing the app doesn't fix it, then you could try that.

IF your system is running extremely slow with no applications running other than Finder then I'd suspect a failing HD or you have a runaway process somewhere. Open Activity Monitor (Applications - Utilities - Activity Monitor) and look to see if you have any applications taking a large %CPU, if you do that is your problem. To test the HD run Apple Hardware Test, please read:

to learn how to run AHT on your machine, also run it in EXTENDED MODE so it does the most complete test. If no errors are found after the first pass run it another 2-3 times to be thorough.

Per my understanding that you can't get the expect result by using the expression "=Count(Fields!TICKET_STATUS.Value=4) " to count the the TICKET_STATUS which value is 4, the result will returns the count of all the TICKET_STATUS values(206)
but not 180, right?
I have tested on my local environment and can reproduce the issue, the issue caused by you are using the count() function in the incorrect way, please modify the expression as below and have a test:
=COUNT(IIF(Fields!TICKET_STATUS.Value=4 ,1,Nothing))
or
=SUM(IIF(Fields!TICKET_STATUS=4,1,0))

Every once in a while when I open my mail or open a page I get lines of strange symbols like black triangles with question marks in the center. I have reset the ipad2 to new condition but the problem still exists.

A reset does not make tthe iPad "like new."
First, let's ensure that we agree on just what is a Reset...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.
