Unable to change field from available text options in SM30?

It is either yes or no. I cannot change to yes , it keeps going back to no when I save.
Anysuggestions?

Reading fields from a text file

Hi, I'm fairly new to this so bear with me.
This is for an assignment - the idea is to cretae an online system for booking seats at a cinema - haven't got past the login stage yet?
I've got an applet that needs to read in a field from a text file.
I'm using the StringTokenizer function.
I've put a test in to check that the applet can find the file, which seems to be ok.
However, it's not reading from the file.
Te file is a simple text file - fields are seperated by a comma and a space.
Any ideas?
Please help as this is quite urgent.

To test that it is working, it should just put a message in the Text Area, but nothing happens when you press the "go" button.

WRT610N - Unable to change "Server Name" - No Text box.

I have my WRT610N running V2 firmware. In all of the documentation I see, on the Admin area within the Storage Tab, there is a text box next to the Server Name and you are able to update that field to change the Server Name. However, I have no textbox here, and thus am unable to change the Server Name. I've attempted factory defaults, firmware upgrades, and multiple reboots to attempt to solve the issue. Any help out there?

Whats the Firmware version is installed on your Router and whats the Version number of your Router? If it's an Version 2 Router, then it doesn't have an option to change the Server Name. As far as i know the Version 1 Router has an option to change the Server Name.
If its an Version 1 Router and if you have updated the firmware, with the latest firmware you don't have an option to change the Server Name, By Default its WRT610N.

Add field from structure maintanace option for datasource in LBWE (BI 7)

Hi,
while i try to add extra field (transaction:LBWE for data source(ex 2lis_02_itm)) from structure maintance option to add field from structure(MCEKKO) to res data source(MC02M_0ITM) , than it moves to left side but when make enter message comes that it will not populated in extrect structure(i.e in MC02M_0ITM OR RSA2),
but when we try to add extra field not by structure maintanace option in LBWE but form append structure option from that structure MC02M_0ITM ( that field is not in that maintanace option in LBWE) than it comes in that structure MC02M_0ITM and also can see in RSA2.
Than how can we use that structure maintanace option avialble for the res. data source in LBWE?

yes later i got that error entry still exit whic solved by deleting setup table and than try,
thanks.
one another problem: when i try to activate 0order_quan key figure for cube 0pur_c01 for data source 2lis_02_itm at update rulen by assignig source field for that key figure , i am unable to activate - its remain in warning symbol only and getting further message while check that Target unit and source unit for key figure Order quantity are different.

Converting cost center field from mandatory to optional in Tcode CRC1

Dear Experts,
I'm a PP consultant & facing a problem regarding cost center .I'm trying to test a scenario into test server where trying to create a new resource(work center) via tcode CRC1(PP-PI).
In the last screen (Costing), system is asking for the cost center which somehow couldn't be created.
Now system is not allowing to complete the resource cretaion without entering cost center(as it is maintained as mandatory field).
I want to change this setting of cost center from mandatory to optional for the sake of completeing the process (as it is being done into testing server only)
Pls let me know the way by which i can convert this mandatory entry of cost center int Optional one.

When you create a work center you are lead through various screens, the sequence depends on the work center category. You navigate with Next screen and Previous screen or, if you do not want to enter required data, skip."

I am unable to change the color of text in an email I replay to or compose. I am on 31.6.0 release of Thunderbird.

When I receive, reply or compose email. I no longer am able to see or change the color of text. I select to change the text from black to Red (or any other color) and the text just stays black, The color seletor box will show the last select color, but never actually changes the text color in an email. Also in received email, when the sender has indicated their replies to me are in another color, All the text only appears as black. I never had this problem in the past, not sure what has happened. I did restart Thunderbird with add-ons disabled and this did not change the problem.

Read contents of changing fields from internal table

Hi Folks,
Please help me in my query below:
Consider there is a Z-table with two fields TABNAM and FIELD having values KNA1 and NAME1 respectively.
In my report I have fetched entries for customers from KNA1. Now based on the field from Z-table I want to populate a variable suppose V_FREE_VAR with the value from KNA1 table.
Here V_FREE_VAR is of CHAR200 so that it accomodate all types of values from KNA1.
The value of Z-table FIELD can change daily i.e next day the value may be PSTLZ.
So how can I read the particular field from internal table as the field to be read is dynamic.
Note: using case is not feasible.

As Rob said i want to get the value of the field from internal table. the code is something like this.
I_KNA1 contains records for customers.
Suppose values of Z-table are in internal table I_TEMP_TABLE.
Entries in I_TEMP_TABLE are as follows
TABNAME      FIELDNAME
KNA1                 NAME1
The value of FIELNAME in Z-table can be changed
Loop at I_TEMP_TABLE into WA_TEMP_TABLE.
Read I_KNA1 into WA_KNA1 with key KUNNR = '0001002234'.
IF SY-SUBRC EQ 0.
   CASE WA_TEMP_TABLE-FIELDNAME.
        WHEN 'NAME1'.
             V_VAR = WA_KNA1-NAME1.
         WHEN 'PSTLZ'
              V_VAR = WA_KNA1-PSTLZ.
ENDIF.
But using case is not appropriate as KNA1 contains 176 fields.

Problem in selecting the different fields from different text fields

Can anyone help me regarding my query.
i have 3 select list columns separately and what i m trying is that when i select one field from first select list the related fields must only be available for me in the second select list and so on.
Suppose i select EBSO as a product name from the first select list then only those thing should be visible to me in the second select list which is only related to EBSO only...and same wise with the third select list..
If anyone has the clue for this pls help me.
The only clue which i m finding is that to use the java scrpts but how to use is another difficulty for me.

I will explain this through an example.
In my application I have created two Select Lists.
The first select list is a select list with a submit
P3_X allows selection of 1,2,3
The page branch sets the value of P3_X with &P3_X. so that way the second select list knows what value it will be using.
The second select list P3_Y is a dynamic query that says
Select SCOL d, SCOL r from TEST1 where FCOL=:P3_X
If you were to have a third select list you would make the second Select List also a submit and have the page branch also set P3_Y with &P3_Y.
The third Select list would say select from where item=:P3_Y

Changing fields from run() method

I have some threads in my program. There is one which in his run() method changes field of other class, my problem is that the change appears with some dealay. In my opinion the delay is to long. Is there any way to make it faster??

Unable to change Value From M to S in p2011 for Orgini field

dear freinds,
             I have uploaded data using the F<M HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION for infotype 2011 . However i am not able
change the value for Origin(defaulted as M) ......as this field is greyed out . As such when i am trying to pass another value through coding as S iam not able to do so ....and it is saving in the database as M only ......Is there any way i can get the value as S only?.

Importing into Address Book with Custom Fields from a Text File.

I'm a teacher and like to create contacts for my students. The information that I want in each contact besides their name, email address and phone number are their
student id's, semester enrolled, class number and class title. For these four fields I create a "Custom" field with the appropriate names: "ID", "Term", "Course" and "Class" respectively.
All this information I can download from the school's server in a CSV file.
To import the information into Address Book, I choose "File -> Import -> Text File" and then select the CSV file that I downloaded. The import utility opens up correctly showing all the fields I would like to import, however, many of the fields are marked as "Do not import." When I click on that term to select my Custom fields, they do not show up. Is this a bug or "feature" of the Address Book? It seems to me that if you are allowed to create useful custom fields, you should be able to import data into them as well.
If I'm just ignorant of how to do this, I would appreciate some help. If there is no way to currently do this efficiently, it would be nice to have this feature added to the Address book in the near future.

Thanks for posting your question and the reply from rojok...
I'm a teacher as well - in Entourage I was able to just copy a column of email addresses (say from an Excel spreadsheet, downloaded from the school's server here at U MD) and then create a group and simply paste that list into the group. Address Book makes you do the extra step of importing all the addresses first. (Note: Your last imported list of contacts in this manner shows up as "Last Import" in the groups lists column to the left in Address Book - so to add contacts to a Group there, you select that Last Import group, click once in that list column one contact, say, then select all of the list - then Command + A, for select all - then drag them all to your group you've made - i.e. "MySpringClassList"). This is NOT very intuitive I might add and incredibly cumbersome of a process.
To get around the customizable info I needed to import... I just chose options that I don't regularly use for those things I needed to import - i.e. student I.D., these I placed under "ICQ Other" - that way they're imported at least.

Unable to change package from $TMP to Z***

hi friends,
i have created a screen 700 in function group XCN1,which is under CN package. I have created this screen for enhancement CNEX0007 for customizing fields in WBS elements.
The problem is coming when i am saving the screen, its not generating any pop-up window asking for new package or transport request number. it is automatically saving it in $tmp package. Even tried to change the package for that particular screen 700 using SE80 and SE03, but its not changing.
Plz help.

When I right click on the Screen 0700 which we have added, the option 'Other Functions - > Change Package Assignment' is not available. When I try 'Write Transport Entry', I get below error:
XCN1 cannot be included in request/task
Message no. TK301
Diagnosis
"XCN1" is in the package "$TMP".
Packages whose names start with $ are for temporary objects that you do not want to be used productively.
The Transport Organizer does not record objects in this type of package, and you cannot include them in requests or tasks.
Please advise, how to change this screen to a transport.

Change field from read only and override calculation based on radio button

Hi,
I have a form in which one of the fields has a simple sum calculation and is set to read only so the user can't change it as it sets a print amount as well.
But if one of the radio buttons is ticked there is a chance that the print amount needs changing but it can be different based on a few other options so I have managed to set the field so the user can edit it depending on an option but the calculation that sets the value overrides what the user enters. I would like to know if it is possible to change this?
I use
this.getField("Quantity_Boxes").readonly = false;
So the user can edit the field when they select the radio button 'yes' under Mesh_b
and
this.getField("Quantity_Boxes").readonly = true;
So the field goes back to read only when the user selects the 'no' under Mesh_b
and in the Quantity_Boxes field I use:
Quantity_Curtains / csn
Just as a simplified division sum with the decimal places set to 0 so a whole number appears.
csn is just a hidden field that has an amount set depending on the size of curtain.

I have found a solution but caused another problem (well more of an irritation than a problem)
I have made it so the can field throws a dialogue box asking how many of the item fit into a box, the only problem is that the dialogue box will appear more then once.
For example I have made a new size know as bespoke and when I select that size and hit return the dialogue box pops up which is fine but when the amount of the product is changed it throws the dialogue box again. I guess this is because the calculation has to be run again but is there anyway of stopping this?
Here is the code I use in the can field which defines how many curtains are in the box and is used to calculate how many labels need printing out.
