Unable to delete bad request in ODS DATA TARGET

Hi Experts,
I have got an abend in load and need to rerun from POF manually .So i need to delete bad request in ODS .But I am unable to delete bad request in ODS.
Please tell me how to delete request in red.

Hi,
Try to do the following:-
1. Note that bad  request number
2. Go to SE16
3. Open table RSODSACTREQ.: Filter the contents by that request number . There will be one entry for that request . Delete that entry
4. Open table RSICCONT. There will be one entry for that request . Delete that entry
5. Open Table RSMONICDP. Filter the contents by that request number . There will be 3-4 entries for that request  depending on number of data packages in  that request .Delete all those entries
Once these entries are deleted , the bad request will be automatically deleted from the ODS.

  • Unable to delete the Requests in the data target---Process chain

    Hello Gurus!
Can anyone plz help me out knowing this issue...
<b>Let me explain the whole scenario:</b>
Like when monitoring the process chains, one of the process chainhas a  sequence of variants like:
    load info-package1>ODS1 activation>load infopackage2-->load infopackage3..
due to some problems they scheduing it manually.all the infopackages loads data into one ODS1......suddenly info-package3 failed.
    so....when i looked into the datatarget ODS1->manage->requests.
<b>i found that the info-pack1 requests status was RED.
    info-pack2 requests status was YELLOW.
    info-pack3 requests status was RED</b>.
ALL THE THREE R FULL UPDATES ONLY.
so suddenly one of our cologue  deleted the all the three requests by making ino-pack2 requests to red.
when we r loading again the ino-pack1  again its failed.we deleted it onceagain(removing the requests from the ods),when we are trying to load ino-pack2 for some priority ,automatically the info-pack1 requests with red were seemed in the ODS.so how to solve this issue and also how to load these three ino-packs..
i hope that all understand the scenario..plz suggest me how to work on it
    Thanks in advance!!!

    Hi,
Your loads are running on back ground you have to kill this porcess in SM50 or SM51 check which are all jobs are running with your user name and ALEREMOTE if jobs are running with ALEREMOTE you can check wether it is your load or some body else in SM37 so kill your jobs in SM50 or in SM51 and make request into RED of your 3 loads, delete the requests from ODS and repeat the loads it will go with out any issues, as i under stood your question when your colegue deleted the request without killing the process he simply made it to red and delete its wrong he has to kill the process and then make it to red.

  • Unable to Delete the request in ODS

    HI Friends,
I am facing the problem with deleting request in ODS.
I deleted the request in cube (PPV Analysis cube). But I unable to delete the request in ODS.
it is showing the message request is already activated;no further QM action possible.
My system is upgraded by BI 7.0 one week before only. Please give me solution .
I am waiting for your reply.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Guna.

    Hi,
Are there other activated requests on top of this requests?
In that case it wont let you delete this request unless those requests are also deleted.
Try to change the status to red and delete.
    Else try this.
Delete requests manually from the ODS tables.
    1. tcode se16.
    2. delete the request in these tables : RSICCONT (delete activated requests OR
Make the selective deletion of the contents of that request), RSMONICDP, RSODSACTREQ (give the name of the ODS and the
request ID and delete all the entries pertaining to this selection in that table.), RSODSACTUPDTYPE.
The request will be removed from your ODS.
    Note 947481 - P32:ODS: Deleting partially active non-condensed requests
    Hope this helps.

  • Urgen t- unable to deleted a request in ODS

    Hi All,
I am trying to delete a request in ODS but the request is appearing again.
tried all the possible way. Can anybody help.
    Thanks in advance
    Narendra

    Hi
If you wanted to delete the request any way, then
Now you can try to delete the same requests from the tables RSICCONT.
you have to modify the request no. from the table "RSMDATASTATE"(Request SID for which all requests are technically o.k.), RSBODSLOGSTATE (PSA ID )and RSODSACTREQ(Request ID and ODS activation ID).
    Thanks,

  • Unable to delete the request from ODS

    Hi All,
I have loaded a request to ODS from flat file and the load got success, the request is activated and is available for reporting. Now the problem is i want to delete the request, but the  request is not deleting.
I tried to delete the request by going in to the cube manage and changed the QM status and the technical status to red and delete, but it is not deleted.
Thanks in advance for your reply

    Hi Prem,
If the ods has datamart status & has been used to load data to a cube, then u cant delete the ods request. In this case, first, change the QM status of the request in the cube to red (delete) & then it wud be possible to go with the deletion of ods request.

  • Delete the bad request from ODS.

    Hi,
i am tring to delete the bad request form ods object but i am unable to delete the request from ods. i am using full uplaod and the processing is "psa and datatarget in parllel. when i check the data in PSA, it is giving "No data packet numbers could be determi request REQU_5SMPS3MTHYJHHUYQ62AM61H89".
    Thanks in advance,
    Kasi.

    Hi KAsi,
I had a similar issue few weeks back, look in SM50 and chk if there are any processes still running which might lock the object. Also chk in st22 to see if any dumps are created under your login.  If tehre are any processes - you can try to cancel them or ask Basis to help u with it.
*I guess* - when you hit delete, the delete  icon appears but is not able to lock(enqueue) the object and after sometime the delteion program cannot move forward and hence it returns to original status.

  • No of requests in a Data Target

    Hi
How/Where i can see the count of Requests loaded in a Data Provider in BI 7.0
    Thanks

    Hi,
RSICCONT is table used to check the requests in the Data Target level ( Cube and DSO) and also if you are not able to delete the request from the data targets in PRODUCTION (Sometimes you will not have authorization for deleting Request) by going to the mentioned you can delete the request.
    Regards

  • Unable to delete the request id in ODS....indicating partially activated

    Dear All,
When I tried deleting a request from ODS, am unable to turn the QM status to red, itz indicating that the request is partially activated.  When I tried deleting the request without changing the status, the delete icon is popped up, but eventually goes back to the previous status and hence does not get deleted.
Due to the above, the subsequent requests coming into the ODS are not getting activated at all...
I tried running the function module  RSBM_GUI_CHANGE_USTATE, to delete the request, but to no success.  Similarly, when I tried locating the requests in the four tables RSICCONT, RSMONICDP, RSODSACTUPDTYPE and RSODSACTREQ, could not found the request id to be deleted in any of these 4 tables.
Please suggest some solution as it is of high importance...
    Thanks and Regards,

    Hi,
You can try the below options,
    1. Remove the request data from the active table using the function
    to delete data selectively.
You must enter selection criterion to select the data of the
    aborted request.
    2. Use Transaction SE37 to execute the 'RSAR_ODS_API_DEL' function
    module as follows:
    I_REQUEST <Name of the activation request>
    I_DATE <current date>
    3. Use Transaction SE16 to delete all entries for this request and
for this ODS object from the RSICCONT, RSMONICDP, RSODSACTUPDTYPE
    and RSODSACTREQ tables.
    Thanks,
    Vinod

    Hi,
I have answered to another thread like this one which is still unsolved (I suggested to open the issue in the OSS)
You can try the following OSS note for a start
SAP Note 1048161 P14:Set QM status for yellow requests using funcion module
I've also found a very recent one:
SAP Note 1078527 P16:Request deletion with error RSSTATMAN 102 in row 34

  • Need to delete a request from ODS

    HI
i need to delete a request from ODS Full update,It failed.I forced it to activate for testing and the request turned green. But iam not able to delete the request now as the job log says it has incorrect status and now not able to change the QM action of Request as it has already been activated. Now how do i delete this request.
    Thanks
    RAJ

    Hai,
I think your request has been partially activated so you are not able to delete the request.
If u really need that request to be deleted then see that there sholud not be any request above that one.
Try to make the request red in manage screen and it will pop up a window which is having start no and cancel click no
and then try to delete the request.
If not need that request make the qm status red and leave it the data will be available for reporting.
    Regards.

  • Selective deletion of request from ODS which is activated and updated

    Hi all,
I would like to delete the request from ODS which is activated and updated into data targets, i.e if i have three resquests 1,2,3 which are activated  and loaded into cube..now i would like to delete the between (2) request from ods, it says we have to delete latest first(3) , cant we delete this 2 nd request by doing some sort of settings plz let me know if any body got come to know this...plz
    Many thanks in advance,
    BRB

    Hi
Did you look at the Online-Docu (link above)? In the administration of the ODS (I think menue 'Manage' in an english environment -> I've none at the moment) where you see each loaded package there you have a button right of the request id (status of data mart). If you press on this a dialog screen appears. There you can press on the trash icon. This resets the delta queue for the specific request.
You have to do this for request 3 and 2. Then you can delete the request nr. 2. The bw system will then delete this request from the active data and from the change log. After this you can schedule the delta load again. This process will load request nr. 3 to the connected InfoCubes.
If you do not reset the delta queue you will not be able to load request nr. 3 from the change log.
As I supose you want not to delete request nr. 3 because of some long duration to upload and activate the whole request again.
This works fine. I've done the last weeks often because we loaded request with 3 million records and more.

    H.J.

  • Can we delete particular request from ODS

    Hi All,
Can't we delete particular request from ODS?
there are dozen of successful requests in ODS, when i deleted one successful request from the middle, all the subsequent requests lost the tick which indicates they are updated to cube. Is there any way that i can undo this one?
can we do selective request(successful) deletion from ODS?
    Thanks in advance.
    Robyn.

    Hi Samara,
what i was trying to do is re-arranging the requests according to chronological order, which are not in. imagine the scenario
    ODS requests      cube request
    5         ->             E
    4         ->             D
    2         ->             B
    3         ->             C
    1         ->              A
what iam trying to do is put them in sequence
    ODS request        cube request
    5                           E
    4                           D
    3                           C
    2                           B
    1                           A
If i delete 3rd ODS request put it over 2 it won't accept as the request number is lesser than that of 2nd request.
can we reconstruct any request from reconstruction tab or just the latest request?
How does this effect the data which is already updated to cube from ODS?
    Regards,
    Robyn.

  • PSA request updated to data targets but not showing

    Hi All,
It must be a basic question for BW support activities. However appreciate if someone can help me out as I am unable to find similar post.
In PSA the request shows it successfully updated to a data target but I can't see the delta request in the data target (Cube)- Manage.
This is a delta request. Can someone tell me how do I load the data back in to the cube? Do I need to delete the request from cube and run it again but I guess the deltas will be lost.
Help. pls give me all the steps in detail how do I fix this.
    Thanks,
    B

    Hi,
    There are two options.
    1. at PSA find how many records are exist for your request.
Note/down load the records into excel if you have countable. As my guess delta records might be less.
Later thru repair full request you can load to PSA and then to target.
AT repair full request we need to use proper selections to load required records only.
    2. PSA Request must be stored at back end table.
in that table if we can change update further status then we can do the psa request to target thru delta dtp.
    Thanks
