Unable to deploy BIPublisher on OracleAS with WebCenter

I installed the OracleAS with webcenter (i think that's 10.1.3.2.0)
But when i try to deploy the xmlpserver.ear from BI Publisher 10.1.3.2.1
the deployment "hangs" on the last step (binding to the webApp).
I also tried manual deployment using the admin_client.jar, but with the same result.
Anyone an idea where to start looking for the reason of "hanging"?
After the non-deployment I see an
...\j2ee\home\applications\xmlpserver\xmlpserver\WEB-INF\lib with the jar-files
but no xmlpserver dir in the ...\j2ee\home\application-deployments
no xmplserver.war file under...\j2ee\home\applications\xmlpserver
and no META-INF under...\j2ee\home\applications\xmlpserver

Hi,
do you have any updates on this? I encountered similar situation, but I was trying to manually deployed to AS 10.1.3.0.0.
Please let me know if you have found a solution,
thank you

  • Unable to deploy simple EJB example with J2EE Ref. Impl.

    Hi there,
    I'm new to EJB development so please bare with me. I've written a simple EJB, taken from Enterprise JavaBeans by Richard Monson-Haefel (O'Reilly). I can compile the code without problems, load it into the J2EE deployment tool (I'm using version 1.3.1 of the J2EE Reference Implementation), and have succesfully set up the data source and SQL commands for each persistent field.
    When it comes to deployment, I'm stumped with the following error:

  • Unable to deploy a BPEL process with rules

    Hi All
    I created a very simple BPEL process and defined a business Rule in composite, that I call from within my BPEL process.
    I am however not able to deploy the project completely successfully.
    I am using JDEV 11g to build/deploy my projects on a SOA_Suite_11g. Note that I can deploy a project successfully if it does not have a business rule.

    Any ideas..
    Thanks

    "Too many open files" issue is most likely because of a (few) Sun JDK6 bug(s). These bugs may not even get fixed in JDK6. It could hit at runtime or compile time depending on the number of jar files getting used and/or a few other variations around the use of file descriptors at a time by the JDK/JRE. One can use "lsof -p <pid>" command on Linux and see how the File Descriptors are growing when this issue is seen. E.g. use the pid of junit java process and not the main Ant java process if you want to debug at runtime. For compile time, grep on the compiler process.
    Increasing the limit of file descriptors is used as a workaround.
    How to increase per-process per-user file descriptor limit on your Linux hosted box:
    Using "limit" (csh) or "ulimit" (bash) command find out what is the value of "descriptors". As a root user (use sudo) edit /etc/security/limits.conf file.
    Close your x term and re-open (or re-connect your NX client) for this change to take effect. System re-start should not be required. If you are not able to increase the limit for some reason using these steps, try a few other things like re-starting your VNC server (or something similar), re-start your Linux box.

  • Unable to deploy calc manager rule with Attributes in 11.1.2.1

    I am unable to validate/deploy a calc manager rule in 11.1.2.1. This rule is also developed as a calc script and gets validated/executed successfully.
    This is a custom currency conversion script
    Sample
    Jan (
    IF(@ISMBR(@ATTRIBUTE("b_CNY")))
    "USD" = "LocalCurrency" / "Avg_Rate"->"CNY" ;
    ELSEIF ......
    ELSEIF.....
    ENDIF
    Does any one know if this a known bug ?
    Thanks

    It used to be a bug that @attribute could not be validated, maybe worth checking the patches to see if it is fixed yet.
    Cheers

  • SQL Developer 4.0.0.13 and Oracle Cloud DB. Cart Access Issue (Unable to deploy in cloud).

    Hello,
    I asked for a trial account on 04/02 (this year) of the Oracle Cloud. I've been able to create a Cloud Connection in SQL Developer (I'm able to login with my oracle email with the "Service Instance URL"). I am able to see the 11 example tables (DEPT, EMP, and 9 DEMO_X tables).
    My data:
    SQL Developer 4.0.0.13
    DataCenter: US Commercial 2 (US Commercial - Chicago). I'm settled in México, at this moment I don't remember to have selected some DataCenter, but I got that one.
    Domain SFTP Host & Port: sftp.us2.cloud.oracle.com:22
    Domain SFTP User Name: USdddddd (changed here for example reasons)
    Service SFTP Host & Port: sftp.us2.cloud.oracle.com:22
    Service SFTP User Name: USssssss (changed here for example reasons)
    My problem. I cannot deploy on the cloud (via the Cart tool on SQL Developer).
    In chat support, I was told to check this site (1) Data Loading and the Oracle Database Cloud Service. It seems the steps are the same of this site (2) that I was following before Creating and Deploying JSF/JPA Applications to Oracle Cloud.
    My scenario is not according the tutorial. According to (1), the tutorial highlights the use of the user detailed as "Service SFTP User Name" (USssssss). The site says that if I click on that user, I should be able to reset its password on SFTP users. BUT, this user (USssssss, Service SFTP User Name) is NOT shown as it is explained, the user that is shown there is the one under "Domain SFTP information" (USdddddd, that is, the user that I should NOT use, according to that webpage).
    My user Service SFTP User is not shown in Security-SFTP Users. When I click the user name (USssssss), the site takes you to the Security tab, and SFTP Users sub tab. I notice that my Service SFTP User Name (USssssss) appears in Security tab, but it appears under "Users" sub tab, NOT on "SFTP Users" sub tab. Also, if I try to reset the Service SFTP User password (in Users sub tab), the site says "Oracle Cloud will send an email with a temporary password to USssssss USssssss." It does not ask me to write the new password (SFTP Users sub tab works fine, asking me a password for USdddddd).
    Anyway, in SQL Developer, I made several tests in the Cart, testing either the Service and also the Domain users, port 22 and 2222. None of them worked. The message I get is:
    Unable to connect to sftp server with provided details.
    I've also tried to access the sftp url with Putty, PSFTP, and Filezilla. From those three apps, the sftp url gives me timeout (either on port 22, or 2222). But if ping that url, I got a response back.
    So I'm not sure where is the problem. Is it the url? Is it the port? Is it the Service SFTP User? All of them?
    Any comment, is very welcome.
    P.S. It will be nice to have a "posted date" for each tutorial and perhaps identify the Cloud version that is being explained (the Oracle cloud is growing fast, perhaps the tutorials will be deprecated soon).

    Hi Gustavo,
    It appears your Service SFTP user was not created correctly. Please contact support and mention the fact that your Service SFTP user appears on Security/Users tab and not on Security/SFTP Users tab.
    Vlad

    Hi,
    looks like the database connection could not be established. The document contains a step-by-step description of how to ensure that the connect is working after deploying the BC as EJB. You can configure the BC tester to work with the EJB deployment to see if the model works.

  • Java.io.FileNotFoundException: Unable to locate style sheet "oracle/webcent

    Hi
    I have created a webceter application in jdeveloper 11.1.1.4 with the default page templates and pages.
    After creating the application i followed the below steps
    1. Created a new skin file test-skin.css under webcontent/oracle/webcenter/portalapp/skins
    2. Created a trinidad-skins.xml under WEB-INF and configured it as below
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="windows-1252" ?>
    <skins xmlns="http://myfaces.apache.org/trinidad/skin">
    <skin>
    <id>testskin</id>
    <family>testskin</family>
    <version>
    <name>v1</name>
    <default>true</default>
    </version>
    <render-kit-id>org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.desktop</render-kit-id>
    <style-sheet-name>oracle/webcenter/portalapp/skins/test-skin.css</style-sheet-name>
    </skin>
    </skins>
    3. Made entry in the trinidad-config.xml as
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="windows-1252"?>
    <trinidad-config xmlns="http://myfaces.apache.org/trinidad/config">
    <skin-family>testskin</skin-family>
    </trinidad-config>
    4. Ran the portal but got error on the console as below
    <StyleSheetEntry> <_getNameResolver> Could not load style sheet: oracle/webcenter/portalapp/skins/test-skin.css

    I also tried creating portal resource for the skin by right clicking on the skin file, but i still get the same error.
    If i create a skin file under anyother folder directly under the webcontent say /css/test-skin.css it works file.
    Am i doing something wrong or missing any entries?Help is appreciated.
    Thanks

    By default, trinidad-config picks up the skin setup through the preference bean - "#{preferenceBean.defaultTrinidadSkin}". The default skin can be setup through adf-config.xml at design time (look for <portal:preference id="oracle.webcenter.portalapp.skin") or using the Administration console at run-time. The value used here is whatever you've configured as "Skin Family" when creating the portal resource.
    Of course, you can edit the trinidad-config to hard-code the skin as well using the same "Skin Family" from the Create Portal Resource dialog.

    It looks like it's failing to deploy because the JMS resource hasn't been found.
    Do you have the OJMS resource provider setup on OC4J? And the data source configured to point at the database hosting the AQ service is configured correctly?
    Here's the steps I'm referring to from a version of README.txt I found:
    1. The users need to configure a resource provider named "mdbdemo" at the
    $J2EE_HOME/config/application.xml to access OJMS queues.
    <resource-provider class="oracle.jms.OjmsContext" name="mdbdemo">
    <description> OJMS/AQ </description>
    <property name="datasource" value="jdbc/OracleDS"></property>
    </resource-provider>
    NOTE: Do not use a different name since the resource provider name is hardcoded in the MDB's deployment descriptors. Use name of "mdbdemo" only.
    2. Configure the $J2EE_HOME/config/data-source.xml with the following entry as referenced above to connect to the database and schema used in "database setup".
    <data-source
    class="com.evermind.sql.DriverManagerDataSource"
    name="OracleDS"
    location="jdbc/OracleCoreDS"
    xa-location="jdbc/xa/OracleXADS"
    ejb-location="jdbc/OracleDS"
    connection-driver="oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver"
    username="jmsuser"
    password="jmsuser"
    url="jdbc:oracle:thin:@%DB_HOST%:%DB_PORT%:%DB_SID%"
    inactivity-timeout="30"
    />

  • Unable to deploy BPM projects with human tasks from BPC

    I’m trying to edit and deploy a BPM process from Business Process Composer (web based tool). To do it, I followed the steps below:
    1.     I created I project in JDeveloper
    2.     I created the Human task from using the “Auto-generate task form” option
    3.     I converted it to a template
    4.     I published it to BPM MDS
    5.     On Business Process Composer I created I new project based on my published template
    6.     And I finally I deployed it with no errors.
    When I ran the BPM it creates I human task but I’m not able to access its form on Business Process Workspace.
    On Business Process Workspace I can see the task created by my BPM process, but when I click on it to access its form I get a 404 message (message below).
    Error 404--Not Found
    From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
    10.4.5 404 Not Found
    The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.
    If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.
    I think this error occur because my Task form project was not deployed. To fix it I undeployed all the applications and then I deployed the BPM application with all its tasks forms from JDeveloper. It worked fine (I can actually access the task form on Business Process Workspace), but now I’m not able to edit the BPM process on Business Process Composer anymore.
    Then I finally repeated the steps 3 to 6 on top of this post in order to make the BMP process editable on Business Process Workspace but this time I receive the error at the end of this post taken from server log.
    No matters if I publish the project on MDS BMP repository as a template project or as non template project. I always have the same problem.
    So, how can I use a BPM project that contains Human Tasks forms on Business Process Composer?
    I’m using:

    I came across the same issue, and now resolved it like this.
    Firstly, you shouldn't deploy QuoteProcessLab with other UILabs like ApproveDealUILab and so on. So, if you already did it, then go to Weblogic EM and undeploy it.
    Secondly, you should deploy each of UILab separately as standalone application. So, deploy EnterQuiteUILab, BUsinessPracticesUILab, and so on each. These will run independently behind and when your project created based on template in the Composer runs, it will link each of these on human task.
    Thirdly, publish you QuoteProcessLab. And follow the book about how to create a project based on template in the Composer.
    Just one thing you should be careful with is, when you do auto-generation for human task, it sometimes doesn't work fully, unfinished halfway through. So, make sure that the icon 'go to existing business form taskflow' in .task file takes you to the human taskflow.
    If it fails, do another auto-generation. Sometimes DataBindings.cpx can get corrupted by JDev, but let's not go too far for now.
    Mostly, it will work.

  • Unable to connect to my Oracle Database with Microsoft's ODBC for Oracle driver

    I am unable to connect to my Oracle Database with Microsoft's ODBC for Oracle driver vers.2.573.4202.00 on a Win98 computer.
    First, I create a "Net Service Name" in order for the ODBC Driver to find the Oracle server. I then created a System DSN in the ODBC Data Source Administrator and assigned the "Net Server Name" as the server in the "Microsoft ODBC for Oracle Setup". But when I test this DSN with Oracle's provided "Oracle ODBC 32Bit Test vers.2.5.3.1.0" I get an error:
    SQLSTATE: NA000
    Native Error Code:0
    Driver Message:[Microsoft][ODBC driver for Oracle][Oracle]
    This error occurred on all three Win98 computers I have tried. It does however, seem to work fine on WinNT 4.0, and believe it or not, on the two Win95 computers I have tried.
    Does anyone have any fixes, recomendations, or advice?
    Thank you,
    Eric Edwards

    Why are yu not using the Oracle ODBC driver - these can be downloaded from OTN.
    Have you set up a tnsnames.ora entry for the Oracle database you want to connect to? Does this name have a domain name added to it? Check %ORACLE_HOME%\network\admin\tnsnames.ora for the service name. If it is a name of the form :
    name.domain.subdomain
    then you should try using this full name when configuring the ODBC data source.

  • Integration Oracle Beehive with WebCenter Portal

    Hi
    I need to integrate some services that offers Oracle Beehive, as that of instant messaging, to a portal application developed with WebCenter Portal. How can I do that?

  • Unable to deploy with tomcat

    Hi
    I have build an application in Netbeans.
    I have configured and then started tomcat server from netbeans IDE following steps given in below link.
    [http://blogs.sun.com/branajam/entry/registering_apache_tomcat_in_netbeans|http://blogs.sun.com/branajam/entry/registering_apache_tomcat_in_netbeans]
    I am able to start and then stop tomcat successfully from within IDE.
    But when I am trying to add this server in my application server list, I am unable to find this server.
    Thats why I am unable to deploy my application in netbeans.
    Please guide.
    Thanks

    I found it does not work for existing projects...
    It works if I create a new project.
    Thanks

    I did all the suggestions as mentioned in Unable to deploy app form Eclipse Luna on Glassfish 4.0 or 4.1 with JDK8 but without success.
    Does anybody has an idea what the problem could be and how to track it down?
    Thanks a lot!

    Hello Kostas
    Thanks a lot for your help and hints! I am running Windows 7 64 Bit
    I had Java 8, once with Release 20 and once with Release 25, installed - and thought that I pointed all to the newest version.
    What helped in the end was to
    - deinstall all Javas
    - reboot
    - installed newest JDK, without the "Public JRE"
    - reboot
    - set JAVA_HOME and appended the Java-bin-dir to the path-Variable
    - reboot
    - installed a fresh version of Glassfish
    - configured a new Glassfish-Server on Eclipse
    -> and now it runs perfectly!
    Thanks again for your work and hints!

  • Unable to deploy EJB 3.0 on JBoss 4.0.4GA - no home interface

    I am stuck in that my EJB3.0 project (one entity bean, one session bean and one client test bean) builds OK but somehow Eclipse Europa is unable to deploy it to JBoss (4.0.4 GA and 5 Beta) -- something to do with JNDI error as it involves javax.naming exceptions.
    My Eclipse directory structure is :-
    Titan (project name)
    |
    ejb - com.titan (package name)
    | |
    | domain -> Cabin.java (my entity bean)
    | |
    | travelagent -> TravelAgentBean.java
    | -> TravelAgentRemote.java
    |
    META_INF -> ejb-jar.xml
    -> MANIFEST.MF
    -> persistence.xml
    My ejb-jar.xml is :
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <ejb-jar id="ejb-jar_ID" version="2.1" xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee/ejb-jar_2_1.xsd">

    </session>
    </enterprise-beans>
    </ejb-jar>
    And my persistence.xml is :
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <persistence version="1.0" xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/persistence" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/persistence http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/persistence/persistence_1_0.xsd">

    <properties>
    <property name="hibernate.connection.driver_class" value="oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver" />
    <property name="hibernate.connection.url"

    I don't understand, because as of EJB 3.0, you don't really need a home or local-home interface anymore...

    Using @SecurityDomain("exemplo1") in my EJB and NOT providing jboss.xml, it works.
    @SecurityDomain("exemplo1")
    @RolesAllowed("yyy")
    @Stateless(name="UserManagement")
    public class UserManagementBean implements UserManagement {
      public void add(User user) {
    }Damn! This is some serious shit... I dont want to configure this in every single EJB.
    EJB 3.0 is nice, but some small trivial details like this and others, that was forgotten by Sun, piss me off!
