Unable to display Popup page while using JSF Tiles

Hi All,
I am using JSF Tiles. In the body page i am trying to open a pop up page through java script. bt i got the 500 internal server error. The popup open properly when there is no html or core jsf tags. can anyone help me abt this problem.
Thanks.

For future JSP/Servlet related questions please use the JSP/JSTL forum or the Servlet forum. There are more experts.
As to your problem: did you read a basic JSP/Servlet book/tutorial? Did you read the [Tomcat documentation|http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-6.0-doc/index.html]? Your problem more sounds like you missed something trivial.

  • Problem while displaying popup message while using inputfile component

    Hi
    I am using JDEV 11.1.1.2.0, using ADF i developed and application
    in my page i have a input file component, from which i am taking a csv file and reading it through valuechangeevent of inputfile component. I have used myfaces.trinidad-UploadedFile to get the selected file and read it using inputstream.
    I have put some validation check (validation check is done while reading the file using valuechangeevent of the inputfile component), while reading the file and incase i receive any error (validation mismatch), the reading of file stops ... and before doing that i used to display error message using below method:-
    public String ValidationCheck(String attrname, String attrvalue, int rownumber) {
    String msg="Validation error found in "+attrname+" with value "+attrvalue+" of row "+rownumber+" in the file. Please correct the file and retry/";
    FacesContext ctx = getFacesContext();
    FacesMessage fm = new FacesMessage(FacesMessage.SEVERITY_ERROR, msg, "");
    ctx.addMessage(null,fm);
    return null;
    i have used the same method to display message in other places where its showing correctly but fails in inputfile component.
    Please help me out how can display messages from inputfile component??
    Thanks

  • How to trigger New page while using ALV with classes/oops?

    Hi All
    I am trying to print a report which has to show the data in two pages.
    I am using ALV with classes/oops.
    Though I am able to print the report but a new page is not coming. Whole of the data is coming in one single page.
    Please tell me as to how to trigger a NEW PAGE while using ALV with classes/oops.
    Please send some code samples also if available.
    Thanks in advance.
    Jerry

    using sort option you can do it. in case of grid/oo alv class ALV you can view that only in print mode/preview mode.
    in case of list you can view that directly.
    sort-fieldname = 'FIELDNAME'.
    sort-group = '*'  "triggers new page
    sort-up = 'X'.
    append sort to it_sort.

I am using jboss server .... Can any one help me out about regarding this. So that both works fine
    Thanks.

    This is not related to Sun JSF. You might have more luck if you ask component library specific questions at the website/forum/mailinglist of the component manfacturer.

  • 11i Login Page is showing 'Error on Page' while using IE 7

    Hi DBAs,
    I am using Oracle 11.5.10.2 with DB 10.2.0.4 (Single Instance). The EBS is on RUP6 and using JDK 1.6.0_12.
    I was using Firefox and not getting any issue. I used first time IE-7 (7.0.5x) to access the application. I noticed that Pressing the 'Login' button on Login Page , it was saying in the left bottom of the IE says 'Error on page' and was not navigate to any page or did not perform any action.
    I verified all the services and everything was OK. While using Firefox , I was able to navigate the application w/o any issue.
    Using IE 7 , I am able to access
    http://host.domain:8000/OA_HTML/fndvald.jsp?username=sysadmin&;password=sysadmin
    Most of the stuff seems to be working fine while logging in using above URL but the 'GO' buttons are throwing same error in IE 'Error on page'. Rest of the Bottons like 'Edit Navigator' , 'Edit Favorites' are working fine but when on any Page I press the 'Go' button then IE showing Error. It seems to me that when a button need to navigate to next page then IE saying 'Error on page' but when a button have to lunch a new page it is working fine.
    All the responsibilities and links are working fine. Application Navigation using Firefox is working absolutely fine.
    Seeking your advise and suggestions to resolve the issue.
    Thanks
    -Samar-

    Hi Samar,
    You can clear the cache as follows (login as applmgr user, and source the application env file):
    $ cd $COMMON_TOP/_pages
    $ rm -R *
    ML Note: 285218.1 is not helpful as I am on later version of EBS (11.5.10.2 with RUP6 and Developer6i Patchset 19). At Client side I am using Windows XP SP3 with IE 7.0.5.x with JInit 1.3.21 and JRE 1.6.0.12.Did you review the steps under "Recommended MSIE Browser Settings" section?
    Can you reproduce the issue with JInitiator? If yes, any errors in the JInitiator console window? Enable debug (you may also enable trace for Sun JRE) and see if any errors are reported there.

  • Display current page name using API ?

    I want to display the current page name using a PL/SQL API. I can get it using smart text - current page item, but I need to get it programmatically using a procedure. Which one? What variable? If I need to pass values in, where do I get them?
    Thanks,
    John

    You can use wwpro_api_parameters.get_value('_pageid','a') in a pl/sql item or UI template to get the value of the current page id. You can then use the page id to look up page attributes in the WWSBR_ALL_FOLDERS view. In a portlet, you have to use the reference_path instead of the 'a' as the second parameter.
    Please note that is is an undocumented use of this API and is not guaranteed to work in future releases. However, it does work in 9.0.2 and 9.0.2.6. WWSBR_ALL_FOLDERS is not officially supported until the 9.0.2.6 version.

  • Navigation issue using jsf, tiles, tomahawk  :loosing faces context

    Hi all,
    I enhanced my webapp using tomahawks jscookmenu.
    Triggering 1 menuItem the wanted pages displays correctly but the next click anywhere in the application shows this error:
    org.apache.jasper.JasperException: javax.faces.FacesException: Faces context not found. getResponseWriter will fail. Check if the FacesServlet has been initialized at all in your web.xml configuration fileand if you are accessing your jsf-pages through the correct mapping. E.g.: if your FacesServlet is mapped to  *.jsf (with the <servlet-mapping>-element), you need to access your pages as 'sample.jsf'.               <servlet-name>imageServlet</servlet-name>
              <url-pattern>/image/*</url-pattern>
         </servlet-mapping>
    </web-app>So I lost the faces context using the jscookmenu, I believe.
    My webapp uses tiles, and there is 2 navigation possibilities: tomahawaks jscookmenu and tomahawaks commandNavigation.
    Latter one runs ok, I do use
    <t:panelNavigation id="nav" styleClass="navigation"
         itemClass="navitem" separatorClass="navseparator"
         activeItemClass="navitem_active" openItemClass="navitem_open">
         <t:commandNavigation action="#{newsHandler.userRequest}" value="#{newsHandler.rss_source_name[0]}">
              <f:param name="navigator"  value="/jsf/news.jsp" />
         </t:commandNavigation>
    </t:panelNavigation>for this kind of navigation I do not use any navigation rules in faces config. To dynamically include the desired faces page I do that:
    <%
         String s = (String)request.getParameter("navigator");
         if (s == null || s.length() == 0 ) {
              s =  "/jsf/explorer.jsp";
    %>
    <jsp:include page="<%=s %>" />That does work.
    Now like I said I did enhance the app by adding tomahawks jscookmenu.
    Therefore I use the following in another tile:
    <t:jscookMenu layout="hbr" theme="ThemeOffice" styleLocation="resources/css">
              <%/* Availaible jscookMenu themes: ThemeIE, ThemeMiniBlack, ThemeOffice, ThemePanel
                 Availaible jscookMenu layout: hbr, hbl, hur, hul, vbr, vbl, vur, vul
                 respect to Heng Yuan http://www.cs.ucla.edu/~heng/JSCookMenu
            */%>
      <t:navigationMenuItem id="nav_0" itemLabel="#{localz.Xplorer}" action="Xplorer" />
    </t:jscookMenu>For this kind of navigation I tried to use navigation rules and the following show the config:
         <navigation-rule>
           <from-view-id>/jsf/*</from-view-id>
            <navigation-case>
                <from-outcome>Xplorer</from-outcome>
                <to-view-id>/jsf/tileMain.jsp?navigator=/jsf/explorer.jsp</to-view-id>
            </navigation-case>
            <navigation-case>
                <from-outcome>Tabs</from-outcome>
                <to-view-id>/jsf/tileMain.jsp?navigator=/jsf/tab.jsp</to-view-id>
            </navigation-case>
         </navigation-rule>That works for the first click. The desired page is shown. The nect click anywhere in the app then show the mentioned error.
    Using tiles I use this view-handler
    <view-handler>org.apache.myfaces.tomahawk.application.jsp.JspTilesViewHandlerImpl</view-handler>One question is: can I use another view-handler on top of the above one? So I could extend com.sun.facelets.FaceletViewHandler and try my luck with this? Or is the solution pointed out just a millisecond from being ok, I just dont see it?
    Maybe you need to know a bit more on how I use tiles:
    That is the page I start with. It inserts the tile shown underneath.
    <f:view locale="#{userLocale}">
         <f:loadBundle var="localz" basename="my.com.xplorer.gui.v.Lokalization" />
         <f:loadBundle var="bundle" basename="my.com.xplorer.gui.v.messages" />
         <f:subview id="tileMain">
              <h:form id="myJsfForm" styleClass="standard">
                        <tiles:insert definition="template" flush="false" />
              </h:form>
         </f:subview>
         <h:messages />
    </f:view>
    </html>The foolowing is the tile structure.
    The bodi tile is the dynamic part. Above you see that I dynamically load the pages into it.
    <t:htmlTag value="div" styleClass="pageLayout">
         <h:panelGrid columns="2" align="center" styleClass="pageContent">
              <f:facet name="header">

    There seems to be a sort of gap regarding jsf navigation documentation.
    I mean the ordinary way is covered everywhere (the book I have covers that too), but jscookmenu seems not to fit in too good. I also tried it with an actionslistener in the jscookmenu but that failed, too. So a link to documents telling the truth on jsf navigation I would appreciate very much.

  • Using an external image file to display on page while page is loading

    I am uploading my site to a host that insists that I put their logo on the top of my web pages. They will not permit me to embed the logo on the page. They want me to insert an image srch on the page to a graphic file they store locally. This is so they can update all web pages on their site at once when a change is made to their logo. How do I place this on my web page using muse so the logo loads with my page.

    Hello,
    You can insert the image as HTML. Use Object>Insert as HTML option in Muse.

  • Unable To Pass Input Page Parameter Using PageDef File.

    Dear All,
    I am currently exploring task flows as I dont have that much knowledge in it.
    Here's my use case
    1. I setup a taskflow which has a Method Call and a View Activity in it.
    2. The method call is a default activity which just calls a web service.
    3. After execution, I just wanted to display the result of the method.
    I used input page parameters to pass data between the method call and the view activity.
         (I passed the data by accessing the pagedef file directly. I know I can do it using pageflowscope..but this is
         my self exercise so that I could understand ADF fully );)
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="windows-1252" ?>
    <adfc-config xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/controller" version="1.2">
      <task-flow-definition id="ManageEmployeeTaskflow">
        <view id="viewEmployee">
          <page>/viewEmployee.jsff</page>
          <input-page-parameter>
            <from-value>#{data.com_test_ManageEmpFlow_methodPageDef.empInfoIterator.currentRow.dataProvider.name}</from-value>
            <to-value>#{data.com_test_viewEmployeePageDef.name.inputValue}</to-value>
          </input-page-parameter>
        </view>
        <method-call id="EmployeeSetup">
          <method>#{bindings.EmployeeSetup.execute}</method>
          <outcome id="__12">
            <fixed-outcome>viewEmployee</fixed-outcome>
          </outcome>
        </method-call>
        <use-page-fragments/>
      </task-flow-definition>
    </adfc-config>Problem is, when I display the data. Nothing is being displayed.
    <af:inputText value="#{bindings.name.inputValue}"
                      label="#{'Name'}"/>          I debug the taskflow and the <from-value> really has a value, but I am not sure why it cant be passed to next pagedef.
    Any idea please?

    Hi,
    I've been thinking... Is this way of passing parameters not possible?
          <input-page-parameter>
            <from-value>#{data.com_test_ManageEmpFlow_methodPageDef.empInfoIterator.currentRow.dataProvider.name}</from-value>
            <to-value>#{data.com_test_viewEmployeePageDef.name.inputValue}</to-value>
          </input-page-parameter>Thanks.

  • IPhone 6 display got zoomed while using the camera (happened after update to iOS 8.1.3)

    Hi, after updating to the newest iOS version (iOS 8.3) I have experienced a lot of graphics issues. I experiensed it in the keyboard with some of the "button pop-ups" lingers. Also, when I rotate the phone it kinda shows a negative version of the screen besides the normal one during the rotation animation.
    However this is not the big problem.
    Cause, while I was about to take a picture, using the standard camera app, I zoomed in stretching two fingers away from each others. Suddenly the whole screen zoomed in, not only the camera. So after that I can only see a limited part of the screen. I have tried to turn the phone off and on and it seems promising during the startup (I can then see the apple logo in normal size), but as soon as it comes to the locked screen it zooms in again.
    Because of this IO am now unable to use the cellphone and I consider to downgrade to 1.2.
    I appreciate all suggestions.

    To disable Zoom double-tap the screen with three fingers.
    Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Zoom and turn this OFF.

  • Problem with format displayed in output while using Pivot table

    Hi All,
    I am using Pivot table in 10.1.3.4.1 version for displaying dynamic type data. Data is coming fine but it is coming in very strange format. I have following two tables in my RTF Template.
    Table1 using Pivot table
    !http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2570/4092137243_924cca92ca.jpg!
    Table 2 - A normal table
    !http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/6651/table3p.jpg!
    In the output PDF, “Table 2” shows data fine but “Table 1” shows very strange kind of behaviour if the columns exceed more than 5 in “Table 1” . If columns in Pivot table output are more than 5[at present according to my Table1 size] then columns more than 5 are shown on next page after Table 2 instead of displaying inside outer table “Table1“. Anyone has any idea what is the reason behind this strange behavior and how can I avoid it ?
    Thanks

    Hi All,
    I tried including following piece of code in RTF as mentioned here: [http://winrichman.blogspot.com/2009/05/cross-tab-by-limiting-number-of-colums.html] but as a result it showed blank page in report. Nothing else.

  • Unable to display Info path form using IE , The form cannot be displayed in the browser because the use of DOM storage has been disabled in the current browser settings. In order to load the form, DOM storage must be allowed.

    I have edited the default edit form for my Issue Tracking Tool using Info Path, But currently when I try accessing the form using IE 10 64x , I got the following error-
    “The form cannot be displayed in the browser because the use of DOM storage has been disabled in the current browser settings. In order to load the form, DOM storage must be allowed.”
    But using Firefox I was able to access the edit form , so can anyone advice on this please?
    Thanks

    . Tools > Internet Options > Privacy Tab > Advanced

  • I can no longer print pages while using Firefox. Print dings. I can print when in Explorer.

    When I try to print articles, pages, etc. that have the print icon provided, or when I use the File/Print menu, the print options window opens but when the print command is clicked I get a ding sound and no printing. I switched back to Explorer so I could get my work done and the print functions work fine. This problem was just created this week (9/13/10) and prior has been fine.

    Is your printer selected at the top of the native print dialog box ''(what you see when you do File > Print)''?
    If so, try doing the '''reset''' mentioned in this article: <br />

  • Partial Page Reloading using JSF

    Hi All,
    can any one suggest me how can we implement PPR technique in java server faces. can any one give more insight on this technique.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    A.

    Basically this has nothing to do with JSF. You just need to understand the AJAX techniques (asynchronous requests). This makes such behaviours possible. Finally look for an AJAX library for JSF and implement it.

  • MBP Display flicks off while using Logic Pro and external monitor

    Hi there
    I have the MBP conected to my external 19" monitor. While running Logic Pro 7.2 the MBP will, for no apparent reason, turn its diplay off and logic will crash. The external monitor will still be on. And I can still move the mouse onto this monitor.
    I then have to hold down the start button to force the machine to restart. This only started to happen after 3 months, but now it happens twice a week or so.
