Unable to download plug ins

I use Windows XP, I have both Photoshop 7.0 and Elements 4.0. I've been trying to download plugins for my Canon EOS Rebel to access RAW (Cr2) files and every time I download I get an error message either that the file is corrupted or that the ZIP extractor cannot open it. I've disabled both my anti virus and malware software to no avail. I cannot access any fo the downloadable files from Adobe. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Brenda

Are you referring to Adobe Camera Raw Plug-ins?
If so, you should know that there is no ACR plug-in available any more that will work with Photoshop 7.x. (As an aside, you should apply the free and mandatory 7.0.1 update ASAP. It fixes many bugs.)
ACR 1.x was available for purchase when Photoshop 7.0.1 was current, but it only supported a handful of cameras anyway. It was never free and it was withdrawn as soon as Photoshop 8 was released.
You're not accidentally downloading the Mac version of the plug-ins, are you? Sorry, other than that I have no suggestions. I don't do Windows. :(

When you browse to Computer is your CF card shown as a removable drive?
If not try shutting down the computer and re-starting and then inserting the CF card or plugging in the USB again.
Open Elements Organizer and press Ctrl+G to bring up the downloader and under Source click refresh to locate your CF card.

  • How do I import or put in downloaded plug-ins/presets?

So recently I've just been getting into 8-bit/16-bit music and I downloaded some presets for drums and plug-ins for synthesizers and such and I just have no idea how to install them on my computer. I am aware there are sub-folders, but where do I put my presets/plug-ins? They are ".cst" files and I am so confused. Thank you and please help I would really like to make 8-bit/16-bit music thank you very much!!

.cst are channel strip settings.. Not plugins...
    In your User folder...
    Music/Audio Music Apps/Channel Strip Settings
...and then put in the appropriate folder inside there for the type of .cst they are....

  • Unable to locate Plug-Ins folder - Mac

I've searched the path listed on Adobe's site to install the latest Camera Raw update (Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-Ins/CS3/File Formats), and noticed I only have up to the Adobe level of folder listed.
So on my computer I can only get to Library/Application Support/Adobe, then there is no folder for Plug-Ins.
So, where am I supposed to load the software update? Should I create the missing folders?
I have CS3 running on Leopard if that helps any.

    >Should I create the missing folders?
    b No!
You are looking at the wrong Library. You need the root-level library,
    b NOT
the one in your username or Home folder.

  • Downloading plug-ins for windows media player

i'm a brand new mac user -- bought a macbook less than 24 hours ago. i have not been able to trouble shoot installing plug-ins for windows media player. if anyone can advise, i would be most appreciative.

Windows Media Player for Mac was discontinued more than a year ago by Microsoft. They recommend using the free Flip4Mac player <http://www.microsoft.com/mac/otherproducts/otherproducts.aspx?pid=windowsmedia >.
A good addition to your arsenal of media players would also be the stand-alone VLC Media Player <http://www.videolan.org/vlc/>. It's a Swiss Army Knife of media players.
    Hope this helps!

  • Download plug ins for illustrator

Everything was working fine and suddenly I don't have the required plug ins.  I don't know how they got erased. Do I have to reinstall the entire Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium?  Do I need to uninstall everything first?
    Thanks,
    Joanne

Run the cleaner tool and reinstall.
Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
Also make sure some system process is not running amok. Many times nothing gets actually erased but is being blocked by overzealous virus scanners or similar.

I'm about a week into my first Mac and loving it so far. I downloaded a visualization plug-in however and don't know how to get it started in iTunes. When I open the Mac HD icon I can see it there, but can't find it anywhere else. Can I open this program at all??? Other than this I have greatly enjoyed learning this new way of life. Thanks for your tips!

does it need to be expanded? does it say something to the effect of choose an application? use stuffit expander. its free.

  • I have PS6, and could happily upload CR2 files from my Canon EOS 6D AS CR2 files and could manipulate these in bridge. When I purchased a Canon 1Dx this was not possible - despite downloading plug ins it still converts my files to dng or jpegs - how do I

CR2 files for pr-manipulation in bridge.

The T1i was first supported by Camera Raw 5.4 which is only compatible with CS4 and later
Camera Raw plug-in | Supported cameras
    Camera Raw-compatible Adobe applications
    Some options:
    Upgrade to CS6
    Join the Cloud
Download the free Adobe DNG converter, convert all T1i Raw files to DNGs then edit the DNGs in CS3

  • Downloading Plug-Ins for Safari?

I tried to watch this trailer and it said that becauseI don't the plug in that MIME type, I can't watch it. So, is there somewhere or somehow that I can download it? Thanks

    Hi
If it's the Xbox site, it's likely Windows Media format. Install the Flip4Mac components for Quicktime, and restart your browser - that should do it.

  • Downloading plug ins

After many years I finally treated myself to an iMac, however, its taking a lot of getting used to and Ive just tried to download a plug in for a kitchen planner and it wont load, I used the same file on my father in laws normal laptop yesterday and it loaded perfectly, it states its suitable for imac and i have the needed computer requirements, but every time I try to click on the downloaded file it just shows me a picture of the plug in envelope and when i try to load the kitchen planner it just reloads the plug in again.... What am I doing wrong?

    MAC
Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8, Lion 10.7.2 or higher
    Mac Browsers: Safari 5.1.2+
To install the Mac plug-in, follow the instructions on screen:
    1. Download (save) the disk image file 2020PluginInstaller.dmg
    2. Mount the disk image (open/run the downloaded file) if not mounted automatically
    3. Find the 2020PluginInstaller window (might be behind the window on top)
    4. Drag the lego piece to the folder (if you do not have admin privileges you will be prompted to authenticate)
    5. Restart the browser (it is not enough to close the browser window, you need to restart the browser application)
    6. Access the same link and you will now see the Start button and be able to start planning your room! - See more at: http://www.magnet.co.uk/my-kitchen-inspiration/my-kitchen-planner#sthash.MW34h2y T.dpuf

  • My downloaded plug-ins DONT show up

    Hi,
I have downloaded some plugins from the internet and noticed that they dont seem to show up. i have placed the correct VST, AU, & Component files in there rightful spot and am getting nothing. thank you for reading please help if anyone has any advice.

Are they 64bit Audio Unit plugins?
If not then LPX cannot use them..... LPX does not support 32bit plugins....
You can purchase 32lives if you really need to use an older 32bit AU plugin.... with LPX
    http://www.32lives.com
if you are sure they are 64bit AU plugins...
Check the Audio Unit Manager to make sure they are installed and validated correctly.... (Menu bar > Preferences>Audio Unit Manager...)
if they do not show up in the AU manager then they are not AU plugins or they are older 32bit ones...
If they show up but are not validated then... select the plugin and press the reset and rescan button... if they fail to validate then they are not compatible with the version of OS X you are using...
If they show in the AU manager as validated then...
What type of AU plugins are they?
Software Instruments (SI) appear under the Instrument Button for a SI track... under the AU Instruments section at the bottom of the popup menu that appears...
FX Plugins appear when you press the Audio FX button in a track.... again, under the Audio Units section of the popup menu that will appear....
Failing all this... provide the name or names of the plugins you are trying to use.... and Ill check them for you...

  • How do I load (internet downloaded) Plug-ins?

Rather new still to L.E. In another topic, some people talked about a cool plug-in that they used and I went to try it out. I've got it on my desktop, but don't know where I'm supposed to put it. I tried the Library/Audio/Plugins/Components folder but nothing. I also have an application which I put in the Applications folder but still nothing. I'm sure you guys are laughing at its simplicity, however I'll appreciate the help...since I'm simple-minded!!! --AK

    Hi,
    Library/Audio/Plugins/Components
Assuming that it's an AU plug-in, that's the correct location.
It may be that LE didn't verify the plug-in, in which case it would not be available to you in LE.
(a number of AU's don't verify in LE, but are still available in other apps, such as GarageBand)
You can open your Logic AU Manager and see if it's listed there. If so, it will tell you its status.
