Unable to hide feilds for a limit item at PO level in SRM 7.0

Hi,
Currently we are working in SRM 7.0. extended classic scenario. While creating a limit item at PO level we are unable to control the custom feilds in general data tab.
We have created some custom fields. And we are trying to control (Visible,Enable & Required) these custom fields from IMG settings (Customer Metadata for item fields in Normal entries) for LIMIT items at PO Level. But we are unable to control.
Where this is working fine at Shopping cart level.
Can anybody help me in this regard.
Thanks.

  • Show Purchasing group Field in UI for Create Limit Item

    Hello All,
                  Do you if there is a way without modifying the templates to show Purchasing Group in UI for Create Limit Items in SRM 4.0 ( Classic Scenario)?
    -thanks in advance
    Shilpa

    Hi
    <b>Yes. Without modifying the HTML Templates of the Internet Service - BBPSC01,
    This is possible by adding a custom field at the Shopping cart item level in the structure. There is no such limitation on the number of customer fields added.</b>
    <u>Refer to the following SAP OSS notes</u>
    <b>Note 458591 - User-defined fields: Preparation and use
    Note 672960 - User-defined fields 2</b>
    Refer this link for details ->
    <b>Add custom field in SC -Item Level
    Which SRM version are you using ? What's your Business requirement ?
    <u>Incase you want to transfer some data from catalog to Shopping cart.. you can get this done by using BADI.
    Try <b>BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI

  • Unable to edit Confirmation for a limit PO.

    Hi,
    This is related to Confirmation in SRM 5.00 for a limit PO.
    The status of this confirmation is "ERROR IN PROCESS". I've seen that there is error while posting the SES to backend.
    This is because of missing some field entries while posting confirmation, Now I want to change the confirmation and make corrections, but i find that all the buttons ( change, delete......) are inactive/greyed out.
    Is it not possible to change a limit confirmation once saved and approved. Then how do i delete it, if all the options are greyed out.
    Please help me

    Hi Muthu,
    Thank-you for the response.
    Yes we have posted a confirmation again to get the process moving, as i knew that missing entries in the field caused the error.
    But what I would like to know is why isn't it possible to delete or change this confirmation to correct the wrong entries responsible fo the error.
    Why all the buttons are greyed out, though nothing is posted at backend

  • Unable to create ASN for PO line item

    Hi,
    I am in the process of implementing SMI replenishment.
    I am able to
    a) Create PO in ECC.
    b) Confirm and Publish the PO in SNC
    When I try to create ASN with reference to Purchase Order, Only the shipping date, delivery date, customer location & ship-from are populated in ASN.  Product number and quantity fields are blank at the line item level.
    Steps I followed:
    Delivery-> Receipts and requirements -> Due list for Purchasing documents
    Select PO line and use "Create ASN". Also, message "Enter product and quantity for item 00001" is displayed.
    I am expecting, PO number, product number, confirmed quantity, delivery date etc to get populated ASN automatically.
    Can somebody tell if this is standard SNC system behavior or am I missing something?
    Best regards
    Vivek

    Note:
    1. Product/location is extended to supplier
    2. Transportation lane exists

    Hi,
    You should create an incoming message of type DESADV which will create ASN in you system as inbound delivery. Purchase Order confirmation control key should allow such confirmation.

  • SRM 7.0 - Unconfirmed PO limit items not showing up when creating Invoice

    Hi Guys,
    For PO standard items, when creating an invoice and is unconfirmed, these items still show up in the invoice screen and the invoice gets created with the status 'Waiting for preceding document'. For unconfirmed limit items, these items do not show up at all in the creation of the invoice and displays an error. My question is how will I make the unconfirmed limit items scenario work just like the standard items scenario whereby instead of the unconfirmed limit items not showing up and generating an error, they will show up and have the invoice created with the status 'Waiting for preceding document'?
    Thanks in advance!

  • Create Limit Items using Catalog

    Hi Experts,
    Can anyone advice how  to create limit items using Catalogs.
    I tried to change the catalog data in BADI BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER, it results error "Interface data contains error".
    Please let me know what are key fields to be changed in the BADI to create limit item.
    Regards
    Praveen

    praveen,
    we wanted to do this but found that it was not possible, i.e. you cannot put limit items into a catalog.
    In our business the Procurement dept wanted to control the vendors that can be used for a product category in a limit order by Purch Org and even in some cases right down to Purch grp.
    We have a Z table that allows Procurement to configure this.
    ZFREEVEND table has fields for
    Purch org - mandatory
    Purch Grp - Can be blank in which case all Groups in the purch Org can use the record
    Product Category - we use UNSPSC codes
    Vendor Number - FMS/SRM supplier number
    Product Category Description - For reference
    Vendor Name - again for reference
    Our Procurement Department can maintain this table using a Z transaction in the SRM GUI
    If a shopper raises a Limit Order and enters values that correspond to a table entry the Shopping cart item is processed the same as a catalog item and the cart goes for approval, as per standard workflow.
    If they enter a value that is not in the table they receive an error message and cannot complete the limit order screen unless they remove the supplier from the screen.  Carts without a supplier for the limit item are treated as free text items, (sometimes called describe requirement), and the cart is sent to an operational purchaser for processing.
    The check and error message is performed using the DOC_CHECK_BADI and although I am functional, not ABAP, I am told the code is quite trivial.
    Hope this assists you

  • Goods Recipts for Limit item SC

    Hi,
    When we create shopping cart with limit item and choose the "confirmation and invoice option" during the Limit SC creation the backend PO is created with item category 'D'. The service PO is created, but there is no data updated in service tab at the item level, there is only line item created in item overview with the expected value as the net price and Qty as 1 PU. But without the line item in service tab at  the item level we cannot do the planned service entry sheet.
    Now with the current scenario when i try to do the confirmation in EBP, i have add description, QTY and value details and then i am able to post the document.The staus shows as document posted in backend but when i click to view the document, there is no document to be displalyed. The confirmation data is not getting updated in the follow on documents or in the purchase order history in R/3.
    In R/3 i am not able to enter the service entry sheet for the corresponding PO, it says no line items in the PO. Thats because there is no line item in the service tab. I am not able to post the invoice since the GR based IV is checked in PO.
    Now my question is whether this is the standard behaviour, cant we do service entry sheet for these kind of PO. How to get the line item detail in the service tab in item level. What is the advantage of this function in SRM if we cannot post service entry sheet.
    Please suggest how to overcome this issue.
    Regards
    GGL

    Hi Sanjeev,
    I checked the ESSR table and the document is not getting updated. I found that there is an error meaasge occuring when i try to post the service entry sheet. The error is "Express document "Update was terminated" received from author" and when i check my inbox i see the below message
    Update was terminated

    Error info Enter rate in GBP, i check the service entry sheet and the currency is maintained in GBP and all the other entries looks fine. I am not sure why i am getting this message.

  • Invoice not updated for Service and limit items

    Hi All,
    For service and limit we are not able to see the invoice document in the "Related Documents" tab in the Purchase order.
    For material I am able to find the entry in the tab but the invoice statistics data is not getting updated for service POu2019s and also for limit item POu2019s.
    Found a note for the same : 1462644 - Empty statistics in PO in case of Extended Classic Scenario but it works only for material line items only.
    Please let me know if any config change need to be made else if there is any SAP note that would resolve this issue.
    Thanks in advance.

  • "Create Limit" Item not visible in Shopping Cart for Employee

    Hi Experts,
    The employee user has the following roles in SRM 701 system.
    /SAPSRM/EMPLOYEE
    /SAPSRM/EMPLOYEE_EHP1. The user is not able to see the "Create Limit Item" option in Shopping cart & hence not able to create a limit item in the shopping cart.
    The Purchase user has the following roles in SRM 701 system.
    /SAPSRM/OP_PURCHASER_ADMIN
    /SAPSRM/OP_PURCHASER
    /SAPSRM/OP_PURCHASER_EHP1. This user is able to create Limit Item in the shopping cart using the "Add Item" Menu.
    My requirement is to allow the users of type "Employee" to allow creating the limit items in the shopping cart. Could you please give some guidance on what needs to be done?
    Thank you.
    Thanks & Regards
    Kasee

    Hello Kasee,
    As per the details given by you, you are using a mix of SRM70 and SRM 701 roles for the same user and hence system behavior will not be correct and it will lead to issues.
    I suggest you to try the scenario with user having roles of one release i.e. either assign SRM 70 or SRM 701 roles.
    Also if you are using portal , there also you have to map the user roles accordingly.
    Moreover with SRM 701 we have the Easy Shopping cart delivered to customers where the user can only add items from Catalogs or Free text ones. You will not get different options like provided in the professional or normal shopping cart used in the SRM 70 releases.
    With the /SAPSRM/EMPLOYEE  role ( SRM 70 ) in the abap system and portal, you will get an option to add limit items in the SC's.
    Same applies to the OP purchaser roles. Its not recommended to use /SAPSRM/OP_PURCHASER  & /SAPSRMOP_PURCHASER_EHP1  roles together for one user.
    You can also refer to the note 1476447 SAP SRM 7.0 EHP1 : Important info on New Functionality for more references.
    Hope this will answer your query here.
    Thanks & Best Regards,

  • Blank Line Item for Rfx Response with Limit Item

    Hi All,
    I have a problem in rfx response for limit item. When creating RFx for limit item, I am using display limit as 'Available to Bid On' and using short text in RFx line item (not using product code). But when bidder creating rfx response, all field in line item is blank (no short text, product category, currency, etc) and bidder need to click on details to see item data. Is this a standard?FYI I'am using SRM 7.0 with extended classic scenario.
    I already try display limit as 'Accept or Reject Possible' but the problem still persists.
    Rgds,
    Aleluya.

    Hello Aleluya,
    As per standard system behaviour you user should be able to see these details in the Item overview screen itself. There is no need to navigate to the details of the same to view them.
    Only to enter price bidder needs to go details of the limit item.
    Have you done any custom changes for the reported scenario here or you are using the standard feature.
    Best Regards,
    Rahul

  • Account assignment category cannot be changed for limit items

    HI all,
    I am getting same error in RZ20
    Instance POXXXXX of object type PurchaseOrder cou ld not be changed
    Purchase order still contains faulty items
    Account assignment category cannot be changed for limit items
    PO is created with service item and it is in backend.
    When it is changed it is giving error. User is added contract no# on change version.
    Could you please share the solution...

    sometimes sap throws unwanted error messages. these are example notes
    415346  ME21n, ME456 when filling the account assignment type
    411883  ME21N, ME456 when filling the account assignment category
    403537  PO from PReq with different account assignment type: E456
    Using Transaction ME21N,you create a purchase order for external service and add a new item by copying a request for quotation. If the request for quotation does not have a plant, when you enter the assignment category, the system displays error message ME456 "Account assignment category cannot be changed for limit items". Also there is no account assignment change involved.

  • Unable to raise RTV (Return to Vendor) for a purchase item

    Hai all,
    An item purchased from a supplier and stock delivered to sub-inventory, from that total quantity we want to return few numbers of item to the supplier.
    While we try to raise RTV (Return To Vendor) (Navigation: Oracle Inventory Responsibility > Oracle Inventory > Transactions > Receiving > Returns) for
    that particular supplier, unable to raise RTV for an item.
    In that purchase order we raised 15 items, among these 15 items system allows to raise RTV for 14 items expect 1 item what we want to return to the supplier.
    Anyone kindly offer solution to solve this above issue.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Arun

    Try checking rcv_transactions_interface for any pending / errored record for RTV against the same PO.
    you can query from backend or you can use Transaction Status Summary form.
    if you find any stuck records, try to identify errors, and reprocess it.

  • Unable to set tooltip for item (sap.ui.core.Item)

    sap.ui.core.Item does not have the property 'tooltip'. But it borrows 'tooltip' property and setTooltip( ), getTooltip( ) methods from sap.ui.core.Element.
    Still, if I set the tooltip for item, it is not reflected. What might be wrong?
    Consider the following piece of code for example:
    var item = new sap.ui.core.Item({text:'Item'});
      item.setTooltip('tooltip');
      var oCollection = new sap.ui.ux3.Collection({ items: item
      var oCollectionInspector = new sap.ui.ux3.CollectionInspector({
      'fitParent' : false,
      'collections' : [
      new sap.ui.ux3.Collection({
      'title' : 'My Accounts',
      'items' : [ item]
      oCollectionInspector.placeAt('content');

    Tooltip is applied on the Item, but it seems Collection Inspector set its own tooltip for the Item. You can do something like this to set your own tooltip,
    var item = new sap.ui.core.Item("myItem",{text:'Item'});
    var oCollectionInspector = new sap.ui.ux3.CollectionInspector({
      'fitParent' : false,
      'collections' : [
      new sap.ui.ux3.Collection({
      'title' : 'My Accounts',
      'items' : [ item]
      oCollectionInspector.placeAt('content');
      oCollectionInspector.onAfterRendering = function(){
           sap.ui.ux3.CollectionInspector.prototype.onAfterRendering.apply(this,arguments);
           $('#myItem').attr('title','My Tooltip');

  • Unable to create delivery for BOM items not in stock??

    Hi Experts,
    We have created a sales order with Parent item and its 3 BOM items, with pricing doen at BOM items. Of the three BOM items, stock exists for only 1 item. When we are trying to create the delivery, it is bringing only the stock item in delivery overview and not the items without stock. We would like:
    1. System to bring all the items while creating delivery. It may not permit picking and PGI till the stock is brought in system.
    2. System to not allow creating delivery till stock exists for all the required items.
    For the non-stock items, system is not allowing to carry out the availability check also. It can give a future date and confirm the quantity for future delivery!!
    Please provide your expert opinions asap. Points would be awarded to all helpful answers.
    Regards,
    Peeyoosh.

    Hi Peeyoosh,
    had you a look at the customizing of your item categories for delivery? Did you use the standard item category TAN? Perhaps the customizing of "availabilty check for delivery item" and "Check quantity 0" in your category for delivery will bring you forward.
