Unable to load 32 bit client on 64 bit windows 7 Enterprise

I got a new PC at work and tried doing my oracle installs but I keep having failures on the 32 bit Oracle client install. What happens is that the install proccedes without issue until the copy files step at which it freezes at 8% progress. When I look in the oracle_home folder I find an inventory directory and nothing more. When I go to the program files or program files(x86) directory I find that the oracle directory has not been created. When I try the install with the 64 bit version I have no issues. Unfortunatelly there are a number of products that still require the 32 bit client software, such as TOAD. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what could possibly be causing this?

Pl identify which exact version of Oracle you are installing. If you want to install both 32-bit and 64-bit versions, the ORACLE_BASE directory has to be different

SAP HANA 32-Bit Clients on 64-bit Windows

Hi guys,
I have successfully made a 64-bit SBO 9 for HANA Client installation on a Windows 7 64-bit; I can connect to the company database too.
However, on trying the 32-bit SBO 9.0 HANA Client on the same Windows environment, I find that I cannot connect to the company database.
I have attempted the same 32-bit SBO HANA client on a 32-bit Windows environment and I connected successfully.
On the window for selecting and logging into a company database (Choose Company), the Current Server shows a number instead of : HANADB
Has anyone experienced this - any ideas would be most appreciated.

I don't think so its a problem. I have installed both client and Server on the same machine. I did for both BO as well as DS and neither created any problems.

Sharing from Windows XP to any newer OS might do you a problem, as the host PC's OS have drivers for older operating systems only.
The easiest way would be to share it from the Windows7 to the Windows XP
We can try setting the sharing manually by using an alternative driver, However, you will have to provide me your exact printer model in order to provide you any possible steps to try.

Trouble connecting to 64 bit oracle client from 32 bit environment

Hi,
I have an application which connects to Oracle and an external 3ed party application via a set of APIs. We are now facing the issue while migrating our server from 2003 to 2008.
The 2003 server was configured for 32 bit and had 32 bit Oralce installed on it. It was able to connect to both Oracle and the 3ed party API in this configuration
In our New 2008 server we have installed a 64 bit Oracle however the 3ed party API is using is 32 bit. Once we use the 64 bit app poll we were able to connect to the Oracle, but the API connection fails. When we enable the 32 bit in APP Pool, wer cant connect to the Oracle client.
Could you please suggest a possible soultion for this problem?
PS:
We have tried placing the 32 bit Oracle.Data.Client DLL in the Bin folder and refered it in our project ( to avoid refering the 64 bit DLL from GAC) but this method didint work out.
We have alos tried placing Oracle Data Access Componets DLLs in Our bin as explianed in the following blog post

Right now we have configured our new 2008 server with 64 bit oralcle client and enabled 32 bit support from APP pool.

You can't use 64 bit client on 32 bit machine.
You can use 32 bit client on 64 bit machine via syswow64, but not the other way around.
If you compile your app with AnyCPU compile target though, it will automatically run as 32 bit on 32 bit OS, and 64 bit on 64 bit OS.

I have 2 worksheets in a excel file and would like to load both into a power pivot table. When I click the 'create linked table' in the pwer pivot ribbon, The powerpivot window open and looks like its about to load the data but then I get

I get first the same error as above but after I look into the details I see the following error message:
in translation the error message is: There is already a item with the same key added.
I can open the power pivot window in diagram view. And after I refresh the data in one of the tables I can open it in the table view. I have already searched for "!" signs in the calculations and searched for calculations with same name but that
is not the problem.
Also I can't open the synonym window. I think this has something to do with it because I've made changes in the synonyms.

Lightroom 2 Unable to Load flash Player

I am trying to create a web gallery but receive the message 'Unable to Load Flash Player'. The preview window also says 'No Flash Player'.
I have downloaded and installed the latest Flash player and it works fine in browsers and other applications
I am running LR 2.4 under OSX 10.5

On my other system I don't have this problem. I've checked every setting, the plugins are installed in exactly the same directories.

                        iii>select connection type -- if you want to connect client database then- select EZ connect other wise select tns
                        iv>test the connection- then you will get connection succeed.
                        v> then click ok

You do not need to do anything in VS. You do need to configure both tnsnames.ora files, because the drivers do not share any data.

JVM for AMD64 unable to load 32-bits DLL on Win64

Hi all,
I get an java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError while doing a System.loadLibrary() on Windows x64 (AMD64) with following message: %1 is not a valid win32 application Note the same DLL is successfully loaded by standard JVM (32-bits) on same OS.
Anyone knows this problem ?

Unable to load drivers on Windows 7 64 bit - HP OfficeJet Pro L7590

Unable to load drivers on my PC, once worked after cleaning up my PC reloaded latest software from HP download. Fails everytime via USB tried also direct network connect same result. Tried uninstall and reinstall including trying to stop windows update from installing driver, this still happens from local directory. Tried installing software with printer unplugged first, still not working.
Any help would be great!

My Desktop computer is an HP p7 1030. Please help me...tried everything I know. Also, my HP printer will not print in blue. What should print out blue, comes out in a light red or pink. If it's supposed to come out red, it comes out in red, just fine. In addition, I've purchased new cartridges and many times I purchase the 940 XL and the cartridges don't last nearly what they are advertised to last. Very disappointing. We have a problem with Report Viewer print funtionality. Getting the error "Unable to load client print control." on click of Print button.
We tried all solutions posted in web - nothing resolves the issue.
The print works fine when we open the report via a browser. But the same is not working through our application. We have the application installed on the Report server itself and the user has Admin previleges.

In the control environment, users do not have permission to install any software. This SSRS has to be installed as administrator under “Install mode” in XenApp
server.
Yes, 32bit IE works for me but 64bit IE works too.
You just need to ensure which version of IE you’re using to install the SSRS. I’m not aware of using 32bit IE for SSRS installation in server but publish 64bit
IE to client. That’s my mistake.

Getting ROracle run when 32 bit and 64 bit clients are installed

I am using RStudio with R 3.01 (64-bit) on a Windows 7 64 bit installation. I am able to load ROracle when only the 64 bit Oracle Client is installed.
Unfortunately I have to use the 32 bit client for another programme.
After I have installed both clients I can't load the ROracle library anymore in R.
The error message is:

unable to load shared object 'C:/Program Files/R/R-3.0.3/library/ROracle/libs/x64/ROracle.dll':
LoadLibrary failure: %1 ist keine zulässige Win32-Anwendung.

I have set both paths in my environment:
"C:\oracle\product\11.2.0\client_1\bin;C:\oracle\product\11.2.0\client_2\bin;"

In addition to adding the 64-bit Instant Client to PATH, did you set the environment variable OCI_LIB64 to the location of 64-bit libraries?

It's quite easy actually. First have your "iTunes Library Extras", "iTunes Library Genius", "iTunes Library", and "iTunes Music Library" backed up. Download ans install iTunes 64-bit. I don't know what's so 64-bit about iTunes 64 since Win7 reports it as a 32-bit application in the task manager. But anyway. Install iTunes 64 and launch it. If you migrated your library to another drive like me go to settings in iTunes and change the directory to your location. Close iTunes. Replace the newly created files with your backed up files. Launch iTunes. iTunes will load and then update your library and from there you are set to go! so basically it is just like a normal upgrade. But if you hesitated to go from 32 to 64 like me, here is your answer.
By the way. I'm using Windows 7 64-bit with iTunes 64-bit and it works without problems and syncing with my iPod Touch also works flawlessly.
