Unable to modify email settings

I've changed my pswd on an email account (via laptop), went to update the password of this account on my iphone and all of the mail accounts in the settings are grayed out.  Tired turning phone on/off but it didn't work.  Any suggestions?  Thank you!

   I just returned from the local Apple store.  They showed me that my "restrictions" setting was turned OFF.  Once turned ON, I could then enable (turn ON) my ALLOW CHANGES: ACCOUNTS.  This daisy chain has now enabled me to turn off my Yahoo email account and turn it back on again, thus "resetting" my password. 
   Wish this software program could be more "intuitive"!

  • Unable to modify skin settings after project upgrade from Cp3 to Cp5

    Folks, just got the full upgrade from Cp3 to Cp5 (not a trial version and Cp3 is wiped out and there's no going back). One of the first snags I'm finding is that when I wanted to publish, I cannot modify my skin settings. Before in Cp3 I had a saved my skin settings as a named profile, which is what you see in the attached image. However, the skin profile is no longer a link so I cannot click and modify it.
    Has anyone else experienced this and found a workaround?

    OK, perhaps I found the answer... and the problem was due to my own unfamiliarity with Captivate 5 (or over-familiarity with Captivate 3).
    Basically, the skin editor is now accessed by Window > Skin Editor (or Shift + F11). So, it appears that the difference is that now from the publish dialog box there is not a hyperlink to the skin editor as there was in Cp3. That's fine by me as long as I can get to it!

  • 8520-unable to get email settings in the set up folder

    I have only had this for 2days and I am unable to get the emails working, in the set up tables the email setting icon is not there and when I try to set up the email in the set up wizard, email set up only gives 1 option ' I want to use a work email account with blackberry enterprise server' which I don't I wan to connect to my home email address with Sky Email

    This appears to be a common issue and there are several threads about this....
    I am having the same issue with msn email.  I got the message yesterday from Blackberry to change my password.  No luck in doing that nor in deleting the email service and adding it back.  I think this is on the Blackberry side of things not MSN.  I greatly depend on having mobile access to my email and this service level won't cut it.  So far Blackberry is a Fail for me due to this as well as a host of other things.  I guess it is time to go back to something else. 
    I'll keep trying and post back if my email service eventually gets successfully added back to my blackberry.
    Edited to add:  I tried adding my son's msn account and it set up just fine via the web at blackberry service and also again via email setup on my phone.  When I use the web based email setup process I receive an "invalid email or password: error.  When I use the blackberry handheld email setup application I get an error message that says "Unable to set up email.  Please try again."  Yes - I am sure I am using the right msn password - I have signed on to my account several times to be sure.  This is incredibly frustrating.  Any ideas at all?  Is this the only support that is available - asking other users?

    Hi, I'm trying to modify existing Outlook installations by using an msp file generated from OCT.  I have multiple settings in it, one of which actually works (changing default format to Rich Text).  However, when I get down to the Tracking section,
    I'm trying to set default behavior for read receipts, it doesn't work.  
    On a fresh install, the default behavior is coming up as Ask each time, while I want it to automatically send the response when a read receipt requested. 
    Nothing happens when using the file.  I've tried double clicking, using msiexec /p file.msp, setup /adminfile \\location\updates\file.msp (I tried a fresh install using the msp and still no joy; it set the default format to Rich Text, but not the read
    receipt response). 
    I'm at a loss here.  Any ideas?  Let me know what additional info might be needed.  
    Yes, I know how to use group policy but we're looking to reduce our GPO footprint in this case.

    I have tried the same thing with OCT in my setups, and got the same result that set default behavior for read receipts doesn’t actually work.
    It doesn’t work for me even I use group policy to change it. I also tried changing related register key directly (software\policies\microsoft\office\14.0\outlook\options\flagging) in Registry Edit and that make no difference. This seems to be a known issue
    currently, no solution on Outlook client without VBA code, if you are familiar with coding, the following VBA code might be help.

    Forgive my language but getting to talk to the Safaricom customer service is a real pain in the **bleep** - if you ever get to talk to them, that is.
    I've never got an answer to my phone calls in three years and their customer assistans in the shops usually have no clue about whatever it is you're asking them.
    I talked to a few of them in a couple of different Safaricom shops and they didn't know what I was talking about.
    Still, I believe Safaricom is not the problem as other people I know who have a BlackBerry on Safaricom haven't experienced this problem.

  • HT1430 I just upgraded to an i5 and I'm unable to send emails. It says my username and or password is incorrect, however all of my settings are the same as they were on my previous phone. Any ideas?

  • Unable to set up incoming email settings in Discussion Board

    I was not able to set up the incoming email settings in my test discussion board list.
    even though my Exchange Server team has done the setup the Exchange related things in my SP 2013 server, I was not able to see any emails flowing into discussion board.
    Due to soem reason, Emails  not sending to discussion boards.
    Am i missing any steps?

    According to your description, my understanding is that the discussion board cannot receive emails after you set up the incoming email settings in the discussion board list.
    Could you find the email in the  drop folder?

  • [SOLVED] GNOME3.4: unable to modify settings

    Hi all! for some reason I'm unable to change the settings from the upper-right GNOME toolbar, for example if I click the 'Network Manager' icon and go to 'Network settings' nothing happens, no menu is opened and the window is simply closed. The same happens for 'Sound settings' and 'Power settings' for the laptop battery. I created a new user in order to discard some old wrong/bug setting but it didn't help. Any ideas what's going on here? I've checked different log files but afaik there's nothing relevant.

    I've just realized that I didn't have gnome-control-center installed, probably related to some problems I experienced that forced me to uninstall/install gnome. Now I'm again able to access those settings.

  • Unable to connect to email settings

    Where do I go from here - I cannot connect to email settings.  I am receiving and sending email with no problem at all.  It also will not connect to internet, so is probably related.  Is this Sprint/Blackberry or ???

    I solved this myself after stumbling on something in Blackberry Desktop.
    The problem was when I clicked on email setup the Blackberry just hung or the timer displayed briefly and nothing happened.
    I went into the device and removed the LATEST VERSION of the Email Setup Application.  This left 1 version which I could not remove.
    However this did not resolve the issue.
    I started up Blackberry Desktop and looked at the applications that were installed (selected from the left panel).  This showed me that the Email Setup program had an update outstanding.
    I clicked on ACTION in the bottom right of the Blackberry Desktop on the Applications page and after the update was applied Voila !!!  I can go into EMail Setup from the device and all is ok.

    Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.   • E72 : Unable to configure email post 071.004 firmw...

    My emails on e72 were working perfectly fine before this upgrade. but post upgrade, I was unable to recieve my emails. So I removed the accounts and tried to reconfigure them. But the configuration wizard doesn't get past the 'Detecting Email Settings'. This is really annoying and I have lost an import feature of the phone. Can someone help me out?

    I did same firmware upgrade. It killed the Nokia email software for using yahoo email.  I was able to get Yahoo email working with IMAP settings BUT it is so bad it is hardly worth it.
    On my main phone screen I have two email notifications
    1) Mail for Exchange
    2) Yahoo account
    I see the Yahoo account count down to zero(number of unread messages) and then back up to a number. It is like it kills all the messages int he back ground and then re-downloads them.  While this is going on the phone, it is so "CPU" bound that I cant use anything on the phone. If I am on a phone call , sometimes the phone goes so CPU bound, it wil drop the call!
    Nokia has really done something with this latest firmware upgrade first by killing yahoo email and then by the email takes so much CPU, the phone is un-useable.
    Another issue I have seen with the upgrade is
    1) I get exchange server busy messages. In 12 months prior, I never saw this! I get over 500 pieces of email a day and NEVER have I see this until the firmware upgrade
    2) On a SEND from mail fro Exchange, I also get an error message that the server is busy and it dumps the message into Drafts box. also new since upgrade
    3) I now get out of Memory errors when simply going into the calendar or other things.
    All I have or use on this phone besides making calls is the Mail for Exchange, Yahoo email, google maps, contact list, calendar, some text meessages and the Nokia bult-in GPS. 
    This phone all worked fine until this firmware upgrade which I had to do as before the upgrade my mail also stopped working so Nokia customer support told me I had to do the upgrade
    Thank You Nokia for making my phone worth about $1.00 in a flea market... time to buy an iPhone or a blackberry. This WAS the best phone on the market for a non touchscreen, but Nokia has killed the phone... At times I cant even make a phone call as I have to shut the phone off and re-start it,.
    Yes NOKIA, thank you for making my E72 simply just a phone from all the wonderful things it used to do. Oh yes, I find I have to reboot the phone at least every other day. Priot to your upgrade, the only time I ever turned the phone off was on a plane.  If I dont re-boot, I get Memory errors and the phone is so slow is is also un-useable!

    There are two ways that should work. When you are in the trash folder, you can swipe on the email in the list - left to right - and a red Delete button should pop up. Or you can select - Edit - at the top of the list of messages and then select the message and tap delete.
    Not sure exactly how this works - but if you have restrictions enabled - especially since you let your grandchild use the device - that may be restricting what you can do in the mail app. Go to Settings>General>Restrictions. If you have it set to on - turn it off or see if you have mail restricted.

  • Unable to send email to the users from Project Server Workflow

    I am facing issues in sending emails to the users from the workflow in SharePoint Designer 2013.
    I am trying to send emails to valid users in a Project server 2013 Workflow by Email action.
    I have set up the SMTP server successfully, I have configured SMTP server successfully in IIS manager 6.0
    I have configured the outgoing e-mail settings in Central Administration successfully,
    I have configured the SMTP email settings for my web app in IIS manager as well.
    I have configured and synced the User Profile App with the eMail addresses from Active Directory as well.
    I have configured the Alerts and Reminders in Operational Policies of PWA settings as well.
    I can send the emails to the users successfully through Powershell.
    But when I am trying to Start a Task Process with a user in the workflow, the task process starts but it never sent an email notification. So I tested by using the Action Email, that also the user is unable to receive any email. But the Workflow is not giving
    any error also. The email sending is successful, but the user is unable to receive it. The workflow succeeds to next phase without any errors.
    So to cross verify I tried 'Alert Me' option on a list, but that also is not sending(or might be sending but the user is not receiving) the mail.
    What else should I do to solve this issue.
    Please help me.

    Hello Paul,
    I tried editing the PWA instance as you said, but that also didn't help :(
    I even restarted the Project Server Service, but nothing is changed. 
    I tried creating a new workflow for a List and used send email there, but that also is not sending the mail :(
    How do I check where the issue is from ? I mean, whether the workflow is sending the mail and the mail server is not receiving? or whether the workflow is not sending the mail itself? how do I check this? Is there any way to log these details?
    Please help me regarding this issue, I am totally clueless how to proceed.

  • IPhone 6 is unable to send email because the sender address was rejected by the server

    When I try to send emails from my Microsoft Outlook for Mac, I get a message that says "Unable to Send Email.  A copy has been placed in your Outbox.  The sender address was rejected by the server."  I've checked all the settings (it is a POP account).  I've deleted and re-installed.  Any suggestions??
