Unable to open /delete a Web Template in Development

Hi Experts,
I am unable to open a web template. It says "You do not have sufficient authorization to change the template,Do you want to create a copy". I need to delete this template and when i click on delete ,there is no impact on the template. Please let me know how i can delete this template. I tried to see what authorization I am missing in SU53, but it did not help.How can I find what authorization is associated with that web template? Kindly suggest.

if you get no authorization error message, then it is purely authorization issue.
When you executing Templates in BEx, it wont help in SU53. in this case, you have to check the roles and its authorization assigned on it.
By checking with your roles matrices, you can check the authorization.
Please check the auth objects, S_RS_COMP, S_RS_COMP1, S_RS_MPRO, S_RS_ICUBE.
Please check whether the cubes, multi/info providers are assigned properly and the activities too.

Try changing the idle connection timeout on your Web Intelligence Processing Server to 60 minutes (from the CMC).
If this doesn't work, please add a trace to the Web Intelligence Processing Server (add a -trace to the command line parameters of the server). and post the log for the relevant time period.

Unable to open the Project web app Instnace , giving STS error

Unable to open reports in web browser through 9ias

Hi ...
I got the following error when i am clling from web.
I saved my reports into database from .rdf format.
Error: The requested URL was not found, or cannot be served at
this time.
Oracle Reports Server CGI - Report Job has terminated with error.
Reports Server Replies:
REP-0110: Unable to open file 'STATION'.
REP-1070: Error while opening or saving a document.
REP-0110: Unable to open file 'STATION'.

Hi,
Just check I think users are executing reports first time, Go to Start Menu of Windows -> All Programs -> Business Explorer -> Analyser.
Then a pop windows will come which will ask for enabling Macros in Excel.
Check the Authorization Role for User in TCode PFCG, Check the Sub option for S_RS_COMP & S_RS_COMP1.

Unable to open PDF in Web Browser and delay for printing

In my LAN, on several PCs running with Windows 7 (32 and 64 bits), I observe two problems with "Acrobat Reader XI":
- Delays / unable to open pdf files in the web browser (Internet Explorer).
- Delays in printing: for example it takes over 8 minutes to print a pdf file: 400kB for two pages (on different printers / models).
Here's the list of actions that I've allready tried to issue those problems:
For the Web Browser problem :
- Repair the "Acrobat Reader XI" installation.
- Uninstalling and Installing Acrobat Reader.
- In the web browser, disabling and activating the add-on (Adobe PDF Reader).
- Uninstall "Acrobat Reader XI" and install "Acrobat Reader X"
Temporary issue: downgrade to "Acrobat Reader 9", which solves the problem with the web browser.
For the printing delay:
- Repair the "Acrobat Reader XI" installation
- Change the printers drivers (install Universal Drivers PCL)
- Check the box: "Print As Image" before printing
Any Idea ?

You can get that error if there is still an old Adobe Reader plugin in the plugins folder in the Firefox program folder.

Regarding "My Porfolio" option from Open-Button in Web Template

Hello,
I have added an OPEN-Button (using LOAD-Command) in the web-template, "Layout of the Open- Save Dialog" as "Display only Template Persistency Options". Currently, the user is able to see "Favourites/BeX Portfolio/My Portfolio".
I want to remove the "My Portfolio" option after user clicks on "Open" button.
Please advise.

At the moment it is not possible to disable or restrict access to these options. SAP hope to Develope this functionality in the future.
Technical Reason:

The dialog in which you can see tabs including 'InfoArea' is called as a
Open/Save dialog.
This Open/Save dialog framework is implemented in two different ways,
one in ABAP(Rendered using .NET) and the other in JAVA.
The authorization object you are referring S_RS_FOLD and the relevant
setting(s) SUP_FOLDER to are evaluated in ABAP(Rendered using .NET) and
its been applied. But the Open/Save dialog framework in JAVA is
completely different.
Here there is no support to evaluate authorization objects as the
rendering is completely dealt with unified rendering framework. So, in
java web this is not available but only in ABAP.
I hope you have understood the fact that JAVA Open/Save dialog framework
implementation doesn't support the feature of hiding the tabs in java
web.
If you want please raise the development request as per the SAP note: 11.

Unable to open a standard WAD template (Tech.Content)

Hi All,
We are working with the standard web templates for technical content (Eg: Runtimes of BI Applications :: 0TPLI_0TCT_MC01_Q0111 ).W ehave installed the templates ,all the flows,process chains.We have installed them in 3.X version and i am assigned to role SAP_BW_BI_ADMINSTRATOR.
But when i try to open the templates in 3.x WAD I am getting the error "you have no authorization to change the template.Do you want to create a copy? --> If i say yes it is running some HTML code in the scrren with a VALIDATE option in the bottom right.If i click on that i am getting the following error
"the selected template contains HTML fragments ,non supported items or is not designed to be edited with wad use the functions 'upload to server' or "download to server ' and edit the web template in an externalHTML editor.
Can you suggest what we are missing or how to fix this issue?

What you can do is :
1. Make these templates changeable - in the transport connection under RSA1 - select Object Changeability and then under TMPL right click and set to Everything changeable.
If this is your development system which is open - you need not do this....
2. You can also view the templates ( HTML version ) using program RS_TEMPLATE_MAINTAIN
Going by your error - looks like some Authorization objects are missing for you to be able to edit the templates - since these are SAP Defined - I would recommend not editing them and instead - going through the HTML using the program mentioned above and if you need a copy of the same - then copy the HTML and put it into a new template under the HTML View.

Template installer: BEx Web can't open BI Content Web Templates

Additional info: When I open the Web Template in Web Application Designer, I get some errors. I corrected some of them by reactivating the BI Content version, but some still remain.
Strangley the test system doesn't show the same behaviour although the Web Template are both active and not modified. (Opening BEx Web is working on test system.)

Unable to open Keynote 6.1 templates

Whenever I open Keynote and attempt to select a template, the software hangs, and the beach ball spins. The only way to recover is to force quit. I am able to get into Keynote by selecting and opening an existing presentation from Finder, but then if I go to File>New>Choose, I get the spinning beach ball. I am able to change the theme of an existing presentation by selecting File>Change Theme, but I am simply unable to create a new presentation from scratch.
I'm running Mavericks on a 2011 iMac. I recently "upgraded" to Keynote 6.1.

repair tasks for Keynote 6.1
Try this repair for iWork applications, its sorted out many similar problems, ensure you complete all the tasks and in the order shown:
1 delete all the iWork applications if you have them, not just Keynote by using Appcleaner from Mac Update to            do this, its freeware
2 restart the Mac;   Apple menu > restart
3 immediately after the start chime, press the shift key until you see the Apple symbol.
         let it fully boot up, it will take longer as the OS is repairing the drive
4 when fully booted, go to Applications > Utilities > Disc Utility; click on the boot drive then First Aid tab and          click repair disc permissions
5 when complete, restart the Mac normally
6 install Keynote from the Mac App Store

Unable to open Document in Webi Rich Client

Hi All,
I am facing problem when I try to open any webi report in WRC.
It shows "Loading document...." message every time I open a file regardless of the fact I import it from CMS or take it from local m/c.
Tried following steps given in SAP note but that didn't help.
UClear the Java plug-in cache :
Start -> settings -> control panel -> java
Under the General tab -> Temporary Internet Files, click Settings
Click Delete Files
It is working fine with other machine. I am using BO 3.1 Sp2 FP2.1.
The one thing I would like to mention was that few days back I tried installing FP2.6 but it failed in halfway so nothing got installed.
I checked in control panel it is still showing version Fp2.1.
Please let me know if anybody has faced the similar issue and found resolution for it.

This seems to be machine specific hence can be a problem with .lsi file being corrupted
move the .lsi file from current location to some other and login again .. the .lsi file will be re-created. try opening report now

I get an alert box saying Access to the specified device, path, or file is denied when I try to open the file in IE, and I get a No response, Try again alert when I try to load the file in my Nokia Mobile Internet Toolkit.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

I've a problem in browsing in WAP phone simulator. I use xml --> xsl --> wml.
But, in wap phone, i can see only "url not found" error. How can i solve it?

Unable to open up another web browser when using a button among item

I am trying to call another web page(pop up window) with button displayed among items, the problem is there is not place to put a URL redirect. I could only do it with a button not displayed among items by putting in URL javascript: openPopUp(); which is calling a function which is in the HTML Header of my page.

Did you try to add the link in the button Attibutes property ?

Using WEB Analyzer SAVE and OPEN view in web templates?

Hi all,
The WEB Analyzer available with BW3.5 is a welcome alternative to BEX, so I'm trying to convert my existing WEB applications running BEX queries by adding functions such as OPEN and SAVE view.
I'm trying to do this by modifying my existing templates and adding the functions/object as they are used in 0ANALYZER, but I haven't got it working.
Is this the way to go? Can it be done in this way?

Can not open or save web template using web application designer

as the subject .
when i create a template , everything is ok .but when i want to save the template i get two errors
the fist one:

Hi I've got the same problem. When trying to use the Bex Report Designer I get this error message: "Java communication error: RFC destination not_configured does not exist". Error when loading query metadata. Check query and portal settings.
Can anybody help me to solve this problem?

Unable to open reports and web analysis document in workspace

After installing reports and analysis 9.3.1, when I am trying to preview a test report on web or as a pdf preview I am getting these kind of errors.
 
Required application module analyzer.reportview is not configured. Please contact your administrator.
 
When I click OK on this it says communication error which says 
"http://hyprepdev.acml.com:19000/WebAnalysis/conf/AnalyzerConfig.xml?LOCALE_LANGUAGE=en <H1>SRVE0255E: A WebGroup/Virtual Host to handle /WebAnalysis/conf/AnalyzerConfig.xml has not been defined.</H1> <H3>SRVE0255E: A WebGroup/Virtual Host to handle hyprepdev.acml.com:19000 has not been defined.</H3> IBM WebSphere Application Server"
 
Similarly when I try to open as pdf preview I am getting the same error.
