Unable to open presentation services page in OBIEE

I am new to OBIEE and am having difficulty figuring this out. I have all the services - BI Server, BI Presentation server, BI Java Host up and running and OC4J started. Still I am not able to open the Presentation services page -"http://localhost:9704/analytics". it's giving me "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" error.
Can someone help plzzz..

Check your URL should be like below,
For Dashboard :- http://localhost:9704/analytics/saw.dll?Dashboard
For Answers :- http://localhost:9704/analytics/saw.dll?Answers

I have installed OBIEE on a Windows 2003 server with IIS 6.0. When I try to open SAW.DLL with the following command: http://servername/analytics, I get this error
Unable to contact server.
Failed to find config file c:\OracleBIData\web\config\isapiconfig.xml using environment variable SADATADIR -- exiting!
Error Codes: EV72PGLJ:IV6PEHWU:
Unable to query filesystem statistics for c:\OracleBIData\web.
Access is denied".
The contents of the isapiconfig.xml file are below

I can however run Presentation services with OC4J.
I am not sure why this error occurs with IIS.

right click - my computer - properties - advanced - enviornment variables - system variables.
see if variable SADATADIR exists with value of drive:\OracleBIData and SAROOTDIR with drive:\OracleBI

Unable-to-open - Analytic s page In OBIEE

HI every one,
I am able to login to console and EM but not to Analytics. and in my em in Farm_bifoundation_domain (curreent version of obiee using is 11.1.1.6.6)
Depolyments green 26% red 74%
Fusion Middleware green 33% red 67%
in coreapplication only BIpublisher is not alive.
In the Adminserver.log , I seen this error. Can any one suggest me how to move forward.

Did OBIEE installation completed successfully ? can u post full log file BI_server & Admin server.
1- check weather IP is static
2- Ping Database where you have created OBIEE table-spaces while installation .

Unable to open web service tester page

Hi
I'm three days trying to resolve this problem. I 'dont find a solution. I'm using ejb3.0 and web service. When I test the the application show me the messages Unable to open web service tester page. The application server is start up.

Hello,
you can check it at GlassFish Admin console (usually running on port 4848).
You need to log on to Admin console with the (default) or changed password (depends if you changed it during installation).
There you could see your web service deployed (usually in the "folder" Web services).
If you can see it you should see also wsdl - for your web service.

Follow the steps below:
1.Shutdown all OBIEE services.

with the same files from a backup or from another working instance.

Presentation Service- Page cannot be displayed

The presentation service page is not displayed but admin tool is opening.
Oracle bi server is running and so as presentation service too
But oc4j is having trouble..when I start the oc4j the command prompt widown pops up and goes off. Think by this oc4j is not starting.
Please suggest
1.how to see oc4j is running or not apart from start oc4j option.
2.how to make oc4j run if its true what I have described above.

Based on the error message, I recommend to stop all the crawl process in SharePoint search service application by using PowerShell and then check the results:

The deadlock error will occurs when there are too many overlapping crawls, so I recommend to schedule the crawl to not overlap in SharePoint and add more crawl components if needed.

I Just found it on the apple site, it arrived on a cd a few days later and worked just fine again.
i would recommend backing everything up just in case. Better safe than sorry, trust me. I've lost so much when i didnt back up once when re-installing the system.
IT shoulldnt erase everything, bt it might, so back up just in case

Unable to open presentations

I am often unable to open Presentations created in Keynote on the very computer on which they were created. I receive a message saying: This version of Keynote cannot open the file. Any yet, this is the version I created it in on the computer I used to create it! Even more strange, I can open those file using PowePoint!
Has anyone else had this problem? I really need to fix it. I VERY MUCH prefer Keynote to PowerPoint, but I create these presentaitons for work and I can't have them not opening when I need them in meetings.

Michael, are these presentations that you explicitly saved as PowerPoint files? If not, they should not be openable from within PowerPoint. It sounds to me like something fundamental may be wrong with your installation of Keynote -- I would suggest re-installing it and see if that fixes the problem.

Unable to start presentation services in obiee 10g

Hi,
Everythig is fine untill I restart the machine. I havent done any changes before restarting my mahcine. Once restarted the presenttion services are not starting.
Error: "Windows could not start BI Presentation server on local computer.For more information,review the system event log.if this is non-microsoft service,contact the service vendor, and refer to service specific error code-1".
I have checked instanceconfig.xml and catalog folders, paths, rpd etc.. But no use.
sawlog file give me the error:
Allocation of SQLEnvironment failed (SQLError: -1). Please ensure that the odbc driver is in your environment path.
How to resove it..

Need few checks from your side:
1) Start BI Server and open RPD line mode, if you able to open then check instanceconfig file to make sure the tag is
<DSN>AnalyticsWeb</DSN> is matching with ODBC dsn for 'Oracle BI Server'
If this looks good then
2) use different name for tag CatalogPath from instanceconfig file and start the Presentation service
let us know updates
Make sure you have this in path Drive:\OracleBI\server\Bin

Error while opening presentation services

Hi,
Currently we have a requirement that OBIEE be installed on a environment where we have OAS as the web application server. Before doing it on the environment, I decided to do the installation on the local system.
As per the process, first I installed the OAS 10g. During the installation process I have selected the option of 'Advanced Install' as I do not need the BPEL, ESB and others. In the Advanced installation, i have selected the installation type as
J2EE server and Web server (476 MB)
Installs and configures Oracle container for J2EE (OC4J), includes HTTP server with SSL support, Oracle Enterprise Manager Application server Control and the Oracle process Manager and Notification Server (OPMN).
Once I am done with the installation, then I installed OBIEE using 'Advanced Install' option and I have provided the path for the OAS.
Now when I try to launch the presentation services, I get the error that 'Page cannot be displayed'.
From the OAS, I tried to launch the console also and I get the same error.
Can anyone please let me know if I am missing anything like port configuration?

Unable to start Presentation Services- Windows 7

Hi,
I'm unable to start the Presentation Services , when i do so i am getting a message "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"
Windows 7 ultimate.
All services started like BI server, BI Presentation and Java Host
Installation were successful, able to open Repository.
BI Publisher is also getting started.
I need to look into the Answers, unable to start the Presentation Services, any help is very much appreciated !

Can you past it sawlog0.log message also Make sure below points (just double check and test it)
1) Check your instanceconfig.XML file (better if u have back up plz restore it then change it u r current catalog)
2) In the RPD, go to Manage -> Variables. Look through your initialization blocks and see if any are being used to set the USER variable.
3) make sure if have LDAP settup (external table via init blog)
4) if you can back of your RPD,Catalog restore it then try to access it (for testing) if its works then u r current issue catalog may be corrupted webcat
if your providing sawlog0.log ..it will be easy to find the issues

Unable to open .doc in Pages

Recently I had my laptop fixed at Apple. From this, they wiped everything out and upgraded all of my software. I came home and updated all of my iWorks programs - pages, numbers, keynote. When I typed up a document in Pages I exported it and saved it as a word document. Normally I can open the document back up after it was converted to a word document however, now I am unable to open up any of my documents which have been saved to a .doc. With this being said, I basically cannot open up any of my work which needs to be edited. What can I do to fix this problem?

An immediate remedy would be to download Libre Office, then you can work while investigating Pages issues.
