Unable to print office 2010 document to the printer.

Hi All,
Greetings of the day.
Due to MS office upgrade to 2010, i am unable print document. I am using CV120_START_APPLICATION function module but with this i am able see print preview only.
Kindly do the needful.
Regards,
Yogendra

You see, this is what happens when the question doesn't have sufficient information to provide an intelligent answer. You're saying "i am unable to print document", but what document? From where? What have you already tried to resolve this yourself (maybe try another FM?)? And what is the actual question?
Simply by looking at the FM description I gather it has something to do with DMS. If you go to Google and type in 'DMS print document site:scn.sap.com' there are 1000+ hits. Are none of them helpful?
Going forward, kindly refer to this blog and this one before posting a question.

  • Opening MS-Office 2010 documents in W7 is very slow

    Hello,
I am using Adobe Drive v4.0.2.6 in Windows 7 enviroment connected with an Alfresco CMIS Repository.
Everything works fine, browsing is fast, opening different file types is fast (PDF, PSD), context-menue in Windows-Explorer opens fast (check-in/check-out), works like a charm...
Except the case when I try to open a MS-Office 2010 document (doc, docx, xls, xlsx ...). When Office start it is looking for the path \\AdobeDrive4\MainRepository\... (Contacting...) and nothing happens. I am wondering why it does not look at Y:\... .
Opening a simple file takes more than 20-30 sec. (10kb). This is not a bandwith problem, because copying the file takes 1 sec. and other bigger files like 2-3MB PDFs just opens in 5sec. .
Any ideas why MS-Office takes so long in connection with AdobeDrive?
    Thanks, Thorsten

    Hi,
According to your description about unable to get Office 2010 update, you can check this setting and try again.
Go to Control Panel > Windows Update > Change Settings, tick the option of “Give me update for other Microsoft when I update Windows”.

Not sure on your exact need but try this site for app shopping... http://appshopper.com/. Much easier and quicker than the App store. There are a few others you can find with Google.

  • Corporate Win7/Office 2010 | Severe Lag when opening Office 2010 files over the network

    Good Evening Everyone,
I work in a corporate environment for one of the top banks in the country (USA). We recently upgraded our computers to Windows 7. (The image has office 2010 included in the build)
I've been experiencing some severe lag when opening Office files over the network. Let me start by saying I've researched a lot and have yet to find a solution that works or even makes much of an improvement.
Notes: My laptop is new (64-bit Win 7 Enterprise). The remote desktop where the files lie is new as well. (64-bit Win 7 Enterprise) Both computers have good hardware and more than enough juice to handle applications.
There are certain files I work on along with other co-workers that we store on a computer within the office. We simply create shortcuts to the files on our local machines and make changes, etc. from there. However, after this upgrade, every time I try to
open a file on the remote computer, it takes over a 1 minute to load. I've spoken to our support team who sent someone out and confirmed it's not the network.
Both computers are on the same subnet as well. I've changed the trust center settings on both the client computers and "server" to trust any computer on the network. I have also changed the network card's speed from "Auto Negotiate" to
full duplex 100mbps with no luck.
I am out of options here and in desperate need for a fix. Even saving changes to a file we work on takes forever. 50% of the time when I close a spreadsheet, the title bar has a not responding message and takes a minute to eventually close.
PS: Extra Info : All computers run McAfee AV and use McAfee for disk encryption. I've confirmed all computers are up-to-date in every respect with the AV software.
    Thanks,

    Try:
    Open My Computer.
Open the Tools menu and choose Folder Options...
    Select the File Types tab.
Select the extension (for example DOC, or XLS) of the file that is slow to open.
In the Details section, click [Advanced], and another dialog box will open.
In the Actions section, click Open then click [Edit...], and another dialog box will open.

  • Convert Office 2010 documents w/ Acrobat X (potential bug?)

I am doing some testing with Office 2010 (32bit) and Acrobat X on both Windows XP (32bit) and Windows 7 (64bit). I have run into the following problem when trying to convert a Word document with X:
Opening up the Word document and either using the PDF Maker printer or the Acrobat tab to convert the document to a PDF works without a hitch.
However, opening up X first and then attempting to convert the document that way will yield the a very strange error message saying that I do not have permission to open my Word document. I double checked all of the permissions on the Word document and they all checked out - plus, I am able to open it with Word.
After a bit of troubleshooting, I have tracked this issue down to our Normal.dotm - specifically - where it is stored (on our users' network drive). After moving the Normal.dotm to %appdata% or somewhere else on the local disk and modifying Word to look in this location, the conversion went through flawlessly. I took the time to double check all permissions on our network drive and they all checked out as well.
I have verified this "bug" on Windows 7 and Windows XP in our environment. Has anyone else experienced this error with a Normal.dotm on a network drive, or have I missed something here? For the time being, it seems as though Acrobat X doesnt like the Normal.dotm on a network drive.

Did you updates X or have 10.0.0? The updates are required for use with OFFICE 2010.

  • App-V 5.0 Sequencing Office 2010 - Cannot verify the License for this Application KMS

    Hey Guys,
i already found some Topics about my Problem, but None of the Solutions i have found, help in my case. I hope someone can help...
I Sequenced Office 2010 Professional Plus x86 on an App-V 5.0 Sequencer Client (x64) and streamed it to Windows 7 x64 and Windows Server 2012. While i was sequencing, i followed the Articles at
http://blogs.technet.com/b/office_resource_kit/archive/2011/06/15/sequencing-office-2010-for-app-v-part-1-considerations.aspx and also used the Parameter:
    msiexec/i OffVirt.msi ADDLOCAL=Click2runMapi,Click2runOWSSupp,Click2runWDS,OSpp,OSpp_Core PROPLUS=1
In the sequencing Process anything ist working fine, i can start Word, Excel... and Office is activated. When i publish the Application and stream to the Client or RDS, i get the Error message in the Screenshot.
I also tried to create a new Package and type in the KMS Client Key directly to Office, didnt work. In a third Sequencing Process (also new Sequence) i tried with an another Script what i have found: msiexec /i OffVirt.msi PROPLUS=1 KMSSERVICENAME=”SERVERNAME”
    KMSSERVICEPORT=1688
    Please help!!
    Best regards

I am having this same exact issue; however, I have done everything in the App-V 5.0 Sequencing document, and I have enabled Set-AppVClientConfiguration -EnablePackageScripts 1.
The sequencer is on a Win 7 32-bit machine, so I used the following:
    msiexec
    /i OffVirt.msi ADDLOCAL=OSpp,OSpp_Core PROPLUS=1
KMS is registered in DNS, so I shouldn't have to specify KMS.
As soon as I start Office on a machine, setup screen comes up briefly, and then I see the:
"Microsoft Office cannot verify the license for this application. A repair attempt failed or was canceled by the user. The application will now shut down."
I would use the package accelerator; however, it's a new Pro Plus 2010 build, and it says 12 files are missing from the install (files like the actual OffVirt.msi and manifest files).
This is getting a little frustrating, as I've already tried the package 4 different times. I also tried this version:
    msiexec/i OffVirt.msi ADDLOCAL=Click2runMapi,Click2runOWSSupp,Click2runWDS,OSpp,OSpp_Core PROPLUS=1
I am also using the latest SP2 client, Sequencer, and then the AppV 5.0 SP1 server is using the latest hotfix 4 which was released in April 2014.

  • Office 2010 - Excel prompts "The office File Validation feature has blocked this file from opening as it may contain harmful content"

This only happens when opeining the Excel File via a XenApp Published Application but otherwise on, Excel Installed Desktop opens the file but with a warning RED bar on top.
Opening a RED bar is good with us. but completely unable to open is the problem. See below screenshots

    Hi,
Try to set the following registry key:
    HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Excel\Security\FileValidation\EnableOnLoad
Set DWORD to 0, then office will not validate files.

  • Is there a way to create a "common desktop" for all RD/TS 2012 users? (Office 2010 icons on the dekstop, for example.)

Hello!  Just like the title, is there a way to create a "common desktop" for all RD/TS 2012 users?
I know how to do this using regular W7 workstations and 2008 Servers, but the "Default" folder under the USERS directory is gone and I'm not sure how to get the icons there in Windows 8, let alone Server 2012 Remote Desktop.
I've installed Office 2010 on the 2012 server, but every end user that logs in has to manually type in "Word," "Excel." "PowerPoint." etc from the metro interface, then right-click each icon to add the shortcut to the desktop.
Given the... uh.. unfamiliarity of our endusers around the computer, this really isn't the best option.  What I'd like is them to log on and have all the Office icons ready and availible for them.
    Any ideas?

    Hi,
You can edit the local GPP and create a desktop shortcut for all users.
    Reference:

Also, you can use CopyProfile to customize the Default User Profile.

  • Unable to update Office 2010 to 14.0.7128.5000 with Sp2

Attempting to streamline updates for Office 365 rollout and when trying to update Office 2010 to SP2 14.0.7128.5000. no matter what hotfix I install or even through windows updates, I cannot get the version to read 14.0.7128.5000. I believe the version
    showing is 14.0.7015.1000.

    Hi Brian,
It looks like 14.0.7015.1000 is the final version of Office 2010 Service Pack 2 (SP2). For the specific version number of 14.0.7128.5000, I can only find it on this KB article -  July
    8, 2014 update for Office 2010 (KB2837581).
Only one .dll file is affected by this update. I have tested it that it will not change the version number of your Office 2010 Service Pack 2.

  • I downloaded the latest Microsoft Office 2010 plugin. The Plugin Check page still lists it. Why?

The Plugin Check page listed Microsoft Office 2010 with a research button. I clicked and i was taken to a page where I would download the Microsoft 2010 plugin. I believed that I did (along with a bunch of unnecessary garbage). I went back to the Plugin Check page and Microsoft Office 2010 was still there. Why?

Mozilla only stores details about the latest version of a small number of plugins, these being the most widely used plugins such as Flash and Adobe Acrobat. For those plugins the scan will show if you have the latest version.
For others plugins, including the Microsoft Office plugin, Mozilla does not have details of the latest version and instead it will display a Research button, that when clicked will perform a Google search. It will display the research button even if you have the latest version of the plugin.

  • Unable to open Office 2010 file in Office professional Plus 2013

    Hi All,
Excel file  created in Excel 2010 opens correctly along with edit option where the owner has created it in protect mode available in excel.
But when we try to open the same in office 2013 it opens where the protected mode enable, if we click view it gives formulas  instead of just  enabling user to edit the protected cell.
    Please help..

    Hi,
    Thanks for your question.
Does this only happen to some specific files or all? When you say "protect mode", do you mean the "Protected View"?

  • Title field clearing / going blank on updates to Office 2010+ documents

Hi guys. I am having a problem where the Title property on a document (or more specifically any docx or xlsx document) using a certain content type is being made blank when a user edits the document. There are no event receivers and no workflows running
on the document. Here are the steps that recreate it for any document that uses my custom content type:
    1) Upload a docx file into a library, populating the title field.
    2) Check in.
    3) Go to edit the item - in this case force check-out is in place so it checks out the document.
    4) Change another property. Hit save.
    5) The title field is now blank!
This only does it on my content type (or any that inherit from it), but I've tested it on 3 different servers with varying degrees of updates and it's the same result every time. There is nothing special about the content type (it inherits from Document)
and just has a few extra fields in it. I have not included the contents of the elements file used to define it for brevity but happy to provide if needed. Any ideas are welcome.
    Many thanks,
    Mike

That seems like it's defeating the purpose.  First, we're on an Exchange server that is on our domain.  Second, I'm trying to eliminate end-user input, this method would increase end-user input.  Also, our Exchange server is 2003, from what
I'm reading here the autodiscover service wasn't added until Exchange 2007.

  • Unable to print multiple copies of documents on Win7 machine with Office 2010

Since upgrading to Windows 7, I have been unable to print multiple copies of documents in any MS Office 2007, 2010, Word Pad or Adobe Reader 9.  I also experience the same problem if I print from Word Pad.  The issue appears to be associated with the Collate Option in the Print Dialog box.  If the Collate box is checked, I only get one copy of the document.  If I uncheck the Collate box I get as many copies as I choose.   The problem is that with the Collate box unchecked, I have to collate multiple copies by hand, and with 10 – 20 copies of multi-page documents that can be quite a chore.
The ironic thing is that MS Visio 2003, on the same machine, prints and collates as many copies as I choose, with the Collate box checked.
I can print multiple copies of Word 2003 documents from my wife’s Win XP machine to the same printer, but not from my Win 7 machine with Office 2010.
My printer is an HP LaserJet 1320nw and I have downloaded and installed the latest printer drivers from the HP Web site.
Has anyone experienced this problem, and if so, are you aware of a solution other than unchecking the Collate box?

I have the same issues with my LJ1320. I have Office 2010 and Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.   However, my printing problem is more widespread since I have been unsuccessful at printing multiple copies of all types of documents, not just from  Office 2010.  For example, I have the same problem trying to print multiple copies from  Internet Explorer.
I also have other problems printing  from Office 2010 that you may not have discovered yet.  I cannot print Excel spreadsheet grid lines from Office 2010 if those documents were originally created in an earlier version of Office.  I tried saving them as Office 2010 documents and also using compatibility mode but nothing worked.  These same documents print fine on the same printer from my laptop which uses Windows Vista and Office 2007.  Also Excel spreadsheets originated in Office 2010 print nicely.
Looks like HP has a few bugs in their printer drivers.
I note that HP released a new Universal Print Driver for Windows PCL5x64 on Feb 18, 2011 (Version 5.2.6).  Have you tried it yet?
