Unable to Report Missing Points

Recently bought a $20 PSN card online but wasn't given the option to enter in my Best Buy Gamers Club ID to get points for the transaction. Went online to report the missing points and the website is saying it doesn't recognize my order number. Please advise.

Hello mastaspy007,
I hope you are enjoying your Friday so far.
I would say that every point counts and they can definitely add up quickly.  If your order has not already been attached to a My Best Buy™ account, then you should be able to report it as "missing" on BestBuy.com.  I have gone about reporting your recent order, which should post to your account within the next 3 to 5 business days.
I would suggest using the BestBuy.com account that is currently linked to your My Best Buy™ account in the future when you place orders on BestBuy.com.  Since those accounts are linked, any orders you place should automatically attach to your My Best Buy™ account.  That could potentially help prevent future orders from not being attached to your account so that you can earn points.

  • Couldn't report missing points online

I have been trying several times in the last couple days to report the missing points for a purchase I made in the store during the Black Friday Sales. I got the error message "Please check the information you entered and try again". I verified that the customer service pin number is indeed correct as on the receipt but kept getting the same error message.
The database system was down at the store when I made the purchase and the rep wasn't able to access the system to look up my account number. He said I should be able to report missing points online when I got home but the website kept giving me an error when reporting the missing points.
    Please helps! Thanks!

Greetings leongwh, and welcome to the Best Buy forum,
I just reported one of my own recent Best Buy purchases as "missing" on BestBuy.com and it seemed to work fine.  Are you entering the "Customer Service Pin Number" as it appears on the receipt, including spaces?  I would encourage you to try it once more including spaces, and if you are still unable to report your purchase, then please send me a private message with the below information and I will make sure it is attached to your account.  A private message can be sent by clicking on the blue button in my signature.

  • Report missing point for purchases at Pacific Sales

    Hi,
I forgot to give My Best Buy™ account to the sales asscociate for the purchase order. How to associate My Best Buy™ account with my purchase order at Pacific Sales within best buy store? I don't have the Customer Service Pin number on my receipt to add my missing points on Report Missing Points page, and I don't see the options for Pacific Sales or sales number.
Please let me know how I can attach my purchase order to My Best Buy™ account.
    Thank you

Good morning dkz640, and welcome to the Best Buy forum,
If your My Best Buy account was not attached to your Pacific Sales purchase when it was processed, then points are unlikely to post on their own.  In most cases you should be able to report a purchase as "missing" on BestBuy.com if it was not attached to your account; however, a purchase made from one of our Pacific Sales or Magnolia stores cannot be reported online, which means we may need to see if points can be added a different way.
I would like to go over your My Best Buy account with you to ensure it is up-to-date and to gather some additional information, so I will be sending you a private message.  You can check your private messages by logging into the forum and clicking on the little yellow envelope located at the top of the page.  I look forward to further speaking with you.

  • Missing Points, getting Error when trying to Report missing points.

I recently made an in store purchase, paid with my best buy credit card, but was asked for and even confirmed my best buy info for my account at the register. The reciept does not show my member id, nor does my account show the points pending or otherwise.
The date of purchase was 08/01/2014, more than enough time has passed for them to atleast show up as pending on the account.
I did recieve the terrms and conditions via email for my warranty purchased on this reciept, so I know my member ID was indeed used during the transaction, but did not appear on the reciept for whatever reason.
I'd be more than happy to provide the customer service pin via a PM, just need to know who to send it to. The email address for my best buy account, is the same one used for the account here.

    Hi Veroku_Chan,
I pulled up your account information and can see the purchase that you made back on 8/1/2014.  That purchase is currently pending in your account; however, it appears that you actually have two active My Best Buy™ accounts.  With that being said, I would suggest that we merge the two accounts together.  The merge process would involve closing one account, and then moving any unused points/certificates from the closed account to the active primary account.
Before I can merge your accounts, I am going to need some additional information from.  To gather that information and further discuss a merge, I will be sending you a private message.  You can check your private messages by first logging into the forum and clicking on the yellow envelope at the top of the page.

  • Can't Report Missing Points

I pre-ordered Call of Duty Advanced Warfare with store pick up so I would go to midnight release and at same time get the 500 points for pre-ordering.  It has been a week and its not showing up in my points history. I did the same with Sunset Overdrive and those points and transaction is showing up.  My pre-order does show in the "Online Order Status". I'm dissapointed!

    Hey Trav3ler,
Enuf is spot-on: you may not necessarily see records of your base points or pre-order bonus certificate for 15-20 days after pickup or shipment. If you still haven't received them after that window has passed, let us know and we'd be glad to look into the situation on your behalf at that time.
Thanks for your patience and understanding, as well as for purchasing your copy of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare with us!

  • Missing Points "Issued points"

    HI,
I recently made a purchase at my local best buy (10/30/14), I also used a 3X points coupon with it. I checked my points today and it says that my points from my last purchase (10/30/14)  was issued but its not showing on my total point.
I tried to "report missing points" but keeps saying "this transaction has already been added to your account"
I add all my point since the last time I issued a certificate and certainly Im missing the last transaction i made from BB.
I would like to know where I can email BB Elite plus rewards customer service to address this issue?
I had a similar problem before, I was able to get it fix via email. now i cant find those emails in my inbox.
    Thanks for any help!

Greetings rstyle2014, and welcome to the Best Buy forum,
It can usually take up to 20 days for points to post to a member's My Best Buy™, and if your purchase took place on 10/30/2014, then the 20th day would actually be today.  I attempted to look over your account to see if the coupon was scanned properly, but was unable to do so using the email address you registered with the forum.
With that being said, please feel free to send me a private message if the 3X points do not post to your account by the end of the day and I will see what I can do to help.  You can send a private message with the below information by clicking on the blue button in my signature labeled "Private Message."

  • Missing Points GTA V PS4

I purchased GTA V for PS4 thru the website and did an instore pickup. I purchased it on 11/18. The points still have not been applied to my account. When I go to report missing points and put in the order number, zip, and total it says "This transaction has already been added to an account". What account has this purchase been added towards because it's been nearly 10 days and I still dont see the points but I see all of the order info. Any help? Thanks

    Hello Scarphace3,
Thank you for being a My Best Buy member, and thanks too for pre-ordering your games with us.  I'm happy to hear you we able to pick up your game on the release date.
As your My Best Buy account is linked to your account on BestBuy.com, this transaction is already attached to your membership.  You should be able to see all the points associated with this transaction when you find the order in your purchase history and click on the "+" to expand the transaction information and show how the points were earned.
Please let us know if you have any additional questions at this time.

  • Missing points, transaction was not recorded on my account but another.

My father recently went in to buy a new HDTV and was assured by the represenative at the store that the points for the tv would be added to my account, the account we both do our shopping on. I do believe he in fact did purchase the HDTV with the Best Buy credit card. Now I told him before he left that we probably wouldn't get the points since he was using the credit card. We had not received points for the last computer we purchased because it was done on said card and if I'm not mistaken, a representive on this board said that you aren't awarded Reward Points when you do transactions that way.
He said he would ask when buying the TV and he was definitely told we would still get the points for the HDTV regardless of whether or not we would used the credit card.
I checked our account and nothing has shown up on the transaction log. I tried Reporting Missing Points and it said it was logged on another account. The Member ID on the receipt for the HDTV is not the one we use and I don't know how I would access said account.
I really hate to be bother if the policy is in fact that you cannot get points from Best Buy Credit Card purchases but this is the second time an in-store represenative has told my father otherwise. If the points were awarded and put on another account, I'd like to figure out a way to be able to get access some way. Thank you.

    Good evening ReuleHL,
Before we get into the matter at hand, I do want to point out that a My Best Buy™ account is intended to be used by a single member and that program benefits cannot be transferred to other members.  With that being said, I would strongly suggest that you and your father use separate accounts for your own purchases.  That should help prevent any potential problems with either of your accounts.
A program member can earn points when using their Best Buy credit card or My Best Buy™ MasterCard; however, a purchase that is applied to a promotional financing offer would not qualify for points.  So, if your father selected a promotional financing offer when purchasing his TV, then he would not receive points (base and bonus).  This is a change to the My Best Buy™ Program Term that went into effect back in July 2013.
I am going to send you a private message so that I can go over your My Best Buy™ account with you and see if I can help answer any additional questions you may have.  To check your private messages, you would want to login to the forum and click on the yellow envelope icon located at the top of the page.

  • Missing Points and Certificate

I have two problems concerning some missing points and a certificate.
    1. I traded in a video game on March 21 and the transaction has yet to appear on my account. I would try to use the method of report missing points, but the page I got from this transaction doesn't have a customer service pin. Only number I see that may help is the transaction ID. Also I don't know if my Gamer's Club Unlocked status was taken into account during this transaction.
    2. I used two $5 best buy certificates in an order that I cancelled 15 days ago. I talked to a representative through live chat, a function that seems to be gone now, and the person said that it should reappear in my account iin 7-10 days. I actually received one of the two certificates back not long after my conversation with the representative, possibly because I mentioned it in my survey after the chat. However, I have not received my other $5 certificate back.
Anyone able to help with these issues?

    Hi Roxxell,
Welcome to the Best Buy forum!
    1.  It can generally take 3 to 5 business days for a transaction to appear in a member's My Best Buy™ account.  If after 5 business days your recent trade-in has not posted to your account, then I should be able to help report it as "missing" so that you can be awarded points.  Please send me a private message if that trade-in does not post and I will see what I can do to help.  A private message can be sent by clicking on the blue button located within my signature.
    2.  The point value for the two certificates you redeemed on BestBuy.com ($10 = 500 points) should have reposted to your My Best Buy™ account within 3 to 6 business days of the order being cancelled.  I looked over your account, and as you mentioned, 250 points have reposted, so there are 250 points remaining that still need to repost.  Being that we are beyond 6 business days, I will make sure those points are added to your account.  You should see 250 points post to your account within 24 to 48 hours.
    Thank you for posting.

  • Missing points + error when attempting to report them with form

Heya, I made a substantial purchase (multiple appliances) on the website on June 15 and the points aren't showing up in any way (pending or other). When I try to fill in the form for missing points, I get this message "The information entered doesn't match our records. If the purchase was made in the past few hours, please try again later.". And, obviously, the purchase was made many weeks ago, so that's not the problem.  Where do I go from here?  Thanks.

Good afternoon jblob, and welcome to the Best Buy forum,
After looking over your information using the email address you registered with the forum, I can confirm that the purchase in-question is attached to your My Best Buy account.  That is why you have been encountering errors while trying to report it as "missing" on BestBuy.com.  You will not see points emerge as pending until after the items you purchased have been shipped or delivered, and once those points are pending, they should officially post within 20 days.
If points have not officially posted to your My Best Buy account 20 days after the final delivery or if you have any additional program related questions, then please do not hesitate to send me a private message and I will see what I can do to help.  You can send a private message by clicking on the blue button in my signature that is labeled "Private Message."
Thank you for posting and for being a My Best Buy member.

  • Reporting Services Point status message errors.

My Reporting Services Point seems to work OK -all reports are available and run correctly both through the console and via the website. However, I am seeing the following warning in the SMS_SRS_REPORTING_POINT status messages every hour:
"The SQL Reporting Services datasource on Reporting point server "Databaseserver.contoso.com" is missing or has been changed outside of Configuration Manager.  It will be rebuilt based on the RSP configuration."
Here's what I think is causing the issue, but I don't know how to solve it.
The reports database is on the same remote SQL server as my site database. Because these site systems were installed automatically through the SCCM installation process, they show up in the Servers and Site Systems Role without an intranet FQDN. However,
when I add the RSP to the database server, it creates a new entry because when manually adding site systems SCCM insists on automatically adding the intranet FQDN. So I now have two separate entries for the same server:
\\DBServer01 - component server, site database server, site system
\\DBServer01.contoso.com - component server, reporting services point, site system
Any thoughts on how to stop these errors?

Yes, I know this is an old post, but I’m trying to clean them up.
In the past when I have seen this, they will automatically clean themselves up after a few days. (aka up to a week later). Have it clean itself up yet?

  • Reporting Services Point Role - Not installing

    Hi,
I installed SCCM 2012 R2 and SQL Server Standard 2012 with Reporting Services. SCCM is running in secure (HTTPS) mode for both MP and DP. I have also configured SQL Reporting Services WEB URL for HTTPS (443)
Now I'm trying to install the Reporting Service Point Role but it wont install.
If I check Monitoring --> Reporting --> Reports its blank. Reporting Services on SQL Server is working properly.
I have the following errors reported

    Hi all,
Quick bit of background, we have SCCM 2012 R2 installed on a Windows 2012 R2 server. We have the SQL back end off box, configured on a SQL 2012 R2 server running on a Windows Server 2012 R2 cluster. Then there is yet another server which runs the reporting

Has anyone come across this issue before? Must admit, I'm not too hot on the sql side of things so any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hi guys, cheers for the swift response.
Garth, i can access SSRS in IE from the SCCM box and it looks a-ok.
Paul, nope can't say I've done any configuration of reporting services - the whole thing has been set up by the database team. Having had a trundle through Reporting Services Configuration Manager, it seems the Database team have set up SSRS in line with
    the walkthrough you posted.
Since i'm not seeing the ConfigMgr_XXX folder appear in SSRS I'm wondering if there's something preventing SCCM from being able to create it. The message
    "Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.AccessDeniedException: The permissions
granted to user 'NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM' are insufficient for performing this operation" sounds like the account SCCM is leveraging to perform the install might not have the right permissions in SSRS. Do i need to delegate specific rights to the NT
    AUTHORITY\SYSTEM account in SRS perhaps?

  • Missing Points of my big order past 4 months and not resolved yet

    Hello,
I am an Elite Customer of Best Buy and have lots of product past few years.
I have bought order of more than $10,000
ISSUE: MY REWARDS POINTS ARE MISSING. It's being 4 months and I haven't got a single point from this order. Even with Elite Membership, if I have this issue, what others would be going through.
It's easy to make customer that me happy. Just issue the missing points to my account.
I am not able to use "missing my points" page as its giving errors and over the phone I am not getting help as most of the representatives can't help me.
I don't want to lodge complain in BBB regarding this small issue. Hope this would be resolved ASAP and hoping to get the answer and missing points in a short time.

    Hi Khozema,
I hope you are having a great day, and welcome to the Best Buy forum!
A purchase of more than $10,000 could definitely result in a lot of points, so I can understand questioning why the points may not have posted to your My Best Buy™ account as of yet.  Being that the purchase was of such a large amount, I would assume it was made at one of our Magnolia or Pacific Sales stores.  The points for a Magnolia or Pacific Sales purchase should generally post within 20 to 35 days after any scheduled deliveries have been completed.
I was unable to find any $10,000 purchases using your name or email address, so I am going to need some additional information from you.  To gather that information and go over your My Best Buy™ account with you, I will be sending you a private message.  You can check your private messages by logging into the forum and clicking on the little yellow envelope at the top of the page.  I look forward to further speaking with you.
Thank you for taking the time to post to the forum and for being a My Best Buy™ member. :smilehappy:

  • Majority of reports missing for non admin users

I have followed the instructions here (SCCM 2012–Reporting in console for non-admins (Reporting User Role) v2) to allow non admin users the ability to view
reports in the console. So far, so good. However, when viewing the reports with the non admin user, only about 100 of the 400+ reports appear.
    Am I missing something here?

The custom reporting one in the link I provided, and also modified versions of the following:
OS Deployment manager (removed rights to All driver related items (drivers and driver packages), Boot image packages (except read access), Operating system installation packages).
Application Administrator (removed Application>Approve; Distribition Point>Set Security Scope; Distribution Point Group>Set Security Scope; Global Condition>Set Security Scope)
The reports missing we care about primarily are Software ones (companies and products and files).
