Unable to run OpenScript Functional Scripts from OTM

Hi,
I am unable to run OpenScript Functional Scripts from OTM, but the same script is running successfully on OpenScript.
I have a script which has all my functions (say Script A) and I am calling these functions from a different script (Script B) and even this script (Script B) uses couple of Databanks.
Added both the scripts to OTM and when I run the script (Script B) which is calling the functions on OTM, I see the below error message.
Error Message: Child script with alias "Proceure_ To_Pay_Functions" not found. Add to the script "Proceure_To_Pay" a script asset with alias "Proceure_ To_Pay_Functions"
But the child script (Script A) with functions is added as a script asset in OpenScript to the calling script (Script B) and this script is running fine from OpenScript.
Can anyone please help me in resolving this issue.
Thanks,
Satya

Hi Deepu,
It worked and able to run the scripts developed in OpenScript from OTM. Thanks for your help!!
But I see another problem where when I try to run the script from OTM, I see a window Interactive Services Detection with a Message
"A program running on this computer is trying to display a message" "The Program might need information from you or your permission to complete a task." with Two Options
-> View The Message
-> Ask me Later
When I click on View the Message, I can see my application running by script but my desktop is not visible.
There is another window with Return to Desktop option, when I click on this I can see my Desktop.
Can I not see both my Desktop and application running on the same screen?
Please help!!
Thanks,
Satya

  • Not able to playback siebel open ui functional scripts from OTM

    Hi All,
    I have recorded a Siebel Open UI functional script using web wizard of OpenScript.It contains navigating url,typing username and password,clicking enter button.
    When I tried to playback from OpenScript,it works fine.But when I tried to execute from OTM,broser is launched and navigated to the url,then it failed.
    I am getting "Failed to playback: No browser launched" error from OTM report.
    OATS Version : 12.4.0.2 Build 129
    IE Version : 9.0.8112.16421
    I have found one more strange thing,after playing back from openscript,if the Siebel Open UI login page exists in the browser,then OTM is able to playback with the scripts,it is logging in to the application.
    Can anyone help me to fix this issue?
    Thanks,
    Sandy.

  • EBS Forms functional script runs fine in OpenScript but not from OTM

    Hi,
    I have an EBS forms functional test script which runs fine in OpenScript, but when scheduled from OTM, the web part runs fine but when it comes to forms, the script fails with the following error:
    Forms Object Not Found! XPath: //forms:window[(@name='NAVIGATOR')], Type: oracle.oats.scripting.modules.formsFT.helper.test.FormWindow, Cause: No Matches <Less>
    I have performed all the steps below already:
    1) Stopping the OATS Agent service and changing it to manual.
    2) Starting the command prompt and running the AgentManagerService command as mentioned in your forum.
    3) The console displays
    C:\>C:\OracleATS\agentmanager\bin\AgentManagerService.exe -c AgentManagerService
    .conf
    wrapper  | --> Wrapper Started as Console
    wrapper  | Launching a JVM...
    jvm 1    | Wrapper (Version 3.0.3)
    jvm 1    |
    4) I have added the test in the OTM with the following command line settings:
    -browser.type InternetExplorer -formsft.startup_timeout 30 -formsft.action_timeout 20 -formsft.response_timeout 10 -delayPercentage -1 -delayMin 0 -delayMax 5 -FormsAutomationEnabler.bat -enableForms true
    But each time the script fails, please note that my script has assets and they are placed within the script folder.
    Please help me on this at earliest.
    Thanks,
    Aarti

    Hello Aarti!
    I had the same problem and this steps help to solve the problem:
    You need to enable Forms Automation under agent. Please follow by below steps.
    1.open command prompt
    2.cd C:\OracleATS\agent
    3.FormsAutomationEnabler.bat -enableForms true
    4. Run script from OTM

  • Issues in running scripts from OTM

    Hi ,
    I have created an endtoend scenario where the script starts from creating requistion, approval, PO creation approval , receipt creation then Invoice and payment.
    My script failing with different reason for different runs. Mailnly its failing whenever the steps are referrred to Standard Oracle Forms.(Eg: Invoice Batch, Receipt Form etc).
    I am running this from machine where Openscript and OTM is installed.
    I tried the command line arugment like " -delayPercentage -1 -delayMin 1 -delayMax 20 " while running the script from OTM. Still issue is same. If I am not using this commad the script steps deviates and failing. I mean in script the step is to choose some responsibility A it is choosing B. To override think times recorded I have used thread.sleep(2000) after every thinktime entry to run it from openscript.
    and to run it from OTM I am using above command.
    Now can anyone suggest me is anyother way that we can overcome these timeout errors. Am I using command line argument in correct way ? Please help

    Hi,
    First try your playback from OpenScript.
    Before play back go to View -> OpenScript Preferences -> PlayBack -> Oracle EBS/Forms Functional
    Increase timeouts in Event Timeout. Also Increase timeout in Web Functional (Object timeout)
    Then Apply and OK
    Now try play back from OpenScript

  • Error when running script from OTM

    Hi team,
    Customer is trying to run script from OTM but is getting a "JWG file does not exist" error. I found the following metalink note and the customer has verified that the repositories are defined with exactly the same names & paths in OTM & Openscript.
    Scripts Failing To Play Back From OATS Test Manager (OTM) (Doc ID 1587941.1)
    I've also checked the following post in the forums but this doesn't apply to the customer because both the OTM & agent are on Windows:
    https://forums.oracle.com/message/10707963
    Appreciate any pointers
    Thanks,
    Krishna

    Hi Krishna
    Is the agent running as a windows service or started from an interactive batch?
    What kind of script is that? Web, Forms, Siebel, other?
    Are they different repositories or the same? If different, how do you copy scripts from one to the other one?
    Cheers

  • How I run a shell script from the scheduler on 10.2.0.2.0 ?

    Hello Oracle People,
    I'd like to run a shell script from the Scheduler in my 10g database.
    Right now it is a simple shell script.
    Eventually it will wrap RMAN commands to back up my DB.
    I wrote a simple pl/sql script to create a job:
    -- cr_job10.sql
    BEGIN
    DBMS_SCHEDULER.CREATE_JOB (
    job_name => 'my_backup_job',
    job_type => 'EXECUTABLE',
    job_action => '/h/oracle/scripts/tst.sh',
    start_date => '06-SEP-07 5.33.00PM US/Pacific',
    repeat_interval => 'FREQ=DAILY',
    end_date => '08-SEP-07 4.00.00PM US/Pacific',
    enabled => TRUE,
    comments => 'My Backup Job');
    END;
    I see no errors when I run the above procedure.
    I checked DBA_SCHEDULER_JOBS and the job is in there.
    The scheduler, though, errors out with an error which I see in a trace file:

    There, I see some evidence that I need to configure something inside
    of Oracle to run shell scripts from the scheduler, but possibly just
    for machines running windows. I'm running Solaris.
    Do any of you know what I need to configure inside of Oracle to
    run shell scripts from the scheduler?
    -Owen

    Hello people,
    I should have added this bit of information:
    "The script runs fine from oracle's crontab."
    "The script runs fine from a shell owned by oracle."
    I'm getting responses telling me to check my env variables and permissions
    which would be helpful to a UNIX novice.
    I have a feeling that no one is using the scheduler to run RMAN scripts.
    Tim Hall suggested I take a close look at these files:
    $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/externaljob.ora
    $ORACLE_HOME/bin/extJob
    Currently I'm setup like this:
    bash sol root /h/oracle/product/10r2/bin 31 #
    bash sol root /h/oracle/product/10r2/bin 31 # ll $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/externaljob.ora

    On my system, the user 'nobody' has no shell so I cannot use nobody.
    I created a user named rman:
    bash sol root /h/oracle/product/10r2/bin 34 #
    bash sol root /h/oracle/product/10r2/bin 34 #
    bash sol root /h/oracle/product/10r2/bin 34 # su - rman

    Jared points out that rman needs access to extproc:
    $ ls -la /h/oracle/product/10r2/bin/extproc
    -rwsr-x--- 1 rman dba 34468 Sep 21 2006 /h/oracle/product/10r2/bin/extproc
    $
    $
    Here is a demo of rman running his script:
    bash sol root /h/oracle/product/10r2/bin 35 # su - rman

    $
    $
    $ cat /tmp/tst.sh.out.txt
    Fri Sep 7 16:31:23 PDT 2007
    $
    $ rm /tmp/tst.sh.out.txt
    $
    I am focused on this error:
    ORA-27369: job of type EXECUTABLE failed with exit code: 274662
    And I am focused on this exit code: 274662
    What does 274662 mean?
    If the Scheduler gives me an error like "274662" rather than some English,
    it's obvious to me the Scheduler is a POS and I should not use it.
    And of course,
    If I cannot run RMAN from Oracle Scheduler, I'll use cron.

  • Getting windows error during running the sql scripts from form 6i

    I made a little form application. The purpose of this application is to generate explain plan for a particular SQL. Some sql scripts run internally in order to populate the result on form’s screen after pressing the form’s button but I am getting windows error during running the sql scripts from form 6i.

    Hi,
    how can i run a unix script from java application.
    This java application is on windows.
    So I think it's safe to assume that the target script is on a remote unix server.
    Take a look at http://sourceforge.net/projects/sshtools/

  • How to run the perl script from java ?

    Hi , I need to run the pearl script from the server and to get the result of the script thro' java using SSH
    Is there any 3rd party SSH API in java ?
    Please help me out
    thanks in advance
    karthik

    This seems like a very strange thing to want to do.
    What is the perl script doing?
    Do other programs (not some shell script) access this server-side perl script from a different machine?
    If so how do they do it?
    What currently triggers the perl script to execute?
    What currently handles the output from the perl script?
    If you can answer these questions (and understand the answers) you should be able to come up with a different approach to this.
    You do not really want to call a remote perl script from a Java program, you want to achieve the effect you think that would have if you could do it.
    So find the answers to the above questions, write them on 3" x 5" cards and lay them out on your desk.
    What flow of control needs to happen? Which piece of code needs to produce or consume which piece of data?
    If that fails, ask you self or who ever is making you do this what are the use-cases?
    If you do not know what use-cases are or do not understand them well enough try reading
    Use Case Modeling (The Addison-Wesley Object Technology Series) by Kurt Bittner and Ian Spence (Paperback - Aug 30, 2002)
    http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw/002-7908514-4043267?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=use+cases&x=0&y=0
    It is a short and easy to read book on the subject and also one of the best.
    You MUST understand WHAT you are trying to achieve before you can decide HOW you are going to achieve it.

  • How to run a shell script from the GUI?

    This is probably a dumb question...
    How do I run a shell script from the GUI? I've been told to double click it but when I do, it opens as a text file.

    The behavior you describe is that used by the KDE and GNOME desktops of Linux.
    Under OS X, if you make a script then mark it as executable, double-clicking on it in the Finder will not execute it. Actually, it uses a rather complex algorithm ([summarized here|http://arstechnica.com/reviews/2q00/macos-qna/macos-x-qa-2.html]) to determine what to do with it. This is implemented in Mac OS X' LaunchServices framework (incidentally, the associations are cached in /Library/Caches/com.apple.LaunchServices*.csstore and ~/Library/Caches/com.apple/LaunchServices*.csstore). You can read the details in the developer docs about LaunchServices.
    Anyway, in short, the suffix '.command' is a built-in type in the LaunchServices network that identifies a shell script. If you run
    /System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Frameworks/LaunchServic es.framework/Support/lsregister -dump
    ... it will tell you as much.

    Hi we have created OATS ADF loadtesting script.. would like to know how we can run Loadtest in command line mode or schedule multiple LOAD test
    c:\oracleats\openscript\runscript.bat
    -- this will run only Open Script - single user
    OTM
    -- is letting me only to schedule functional tests not load tests
    please let us know if there is any way to schedule load test which will hel in automating our entire test env.
    Thanks
    Joseph

  • Forms crashing while executing Oracle Forms Functional script in OTM

    Hello,
    We're trying to execute Oracle Ebiz forms related functional test scripts developed in Open Script in Oracle Test Manager.
    Exactly when the forms get launched, the JRE is getting crashed, and the script is failing. What could be the reason.
    I've added the class path in Java control panel for the JRE which comes with OATS, and enabled 1.6.33 version, which works absolutely fine when same script is run using OpenScript and not through OTM.
    Also, in windows services we have provided the valid admin login credentials to the run the service as, instead of local machine user.
    Any help and insight on this problem would be of great help.
    Regards,
    Nishant

    Yes as mentioned i have used run time setting "-formsft.startup_timeout 30".
    Per release notes, i am starting the agent service using the command line "C:\OracleATS\agentmanager\bin\AgentManagerService.exe -c
    C:\OracleATS\agentmanager\bin\AgentManagerService.conf".
    But what's happening is, OTM is not actually waiting for the applet to load. The moment the forms are invoked and about to load after signing in and selecting the responsibility and menu, the script and forms are crashing. OTM is giving the below error though its not waiting to connect to the forms.
    Failure when running child script GL_JournalEntry_Batch. Caused by: Failed to connect to the Oracle Forms applet after 30 seconds. Verify that the applet launching page opens, and that the Forms Startup Timeout setting is high enough for this site
