Unable to start OBI 11g BI server due to Event Polling Table
Hi
We have implemented event polling in our OBIEE 11g application. However, when we are trying to start the BI server, we are getting an error saying ‘[nQSError: 58004] :A fatal error occurred while initializing the cache’. So, when I disable the cache from NQSCONFIG, the server is able to start. Also, when I keep the Cache enabled but disable the event polling table from the Event Polling utility, then also the server start.
Will really appreciate any help to resolve this issue.

Unable to Start OBIEE 11g Presentation Services,Javahost and BI Server
Hi All,
my friend installed OBIEE 10g and OBIEE 11g installed in same system.now i am unable to start OBIEE 11g obi server,presentation services,java host when i see in the properties presentation services ,obi server and java host in services.msc the path here is pointing to obiee 10g sawserver,javahost and presentation services.

Unable to start Sun One Web Server 6.1 SP5 64bits on Solaris 10
Hello,
I installed the Sun One Web Server 6.1 SP5 64bits successfully on a Solaris 10 machine, but was unable to started up the web server application:
The error message is below,

I have searched the forum and found some what similar case but it was for SP4.
Please if anyone had experienced with this please advise how to resolve this issue.

say if it is cshell, you can see the following variables in the .cshrc which will be under the user's home directory
setenv JAVAHOME WS_Root/jdk
setenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH WS_Root/lib: /libnow source that file
source .cshrcthen start the webserver. -
Event Polling Table makins nqs server down
Hi,
I have created a event polling table UET as per the guidelines in the admin tool pdf.
Database version : oracle 11g
obiee version :10.1.3.4
I have create a small test table with two columns and UET table in same schema and same database.
Imported both tables into rpd into new catalog with ddl permision user.
Using tools - > utitlities -> Oracle BI Event tables I added UET as event table. Polling frequency 12min and executed it.
deployed the rpd. restarted the server.
nqs server is getting down.
Could anyone please help me on this .

Unable to Start UCM Content Managed Server (UCM_server1) due to LDAP issue
Hi,
Brief of Steps followed so far -
1. Installed Oracle WebCenter in Weblogic Domain 1, created the relevant schemas using RCU and able to successfully start the managed servers for WebCenter middleware apps - Spaces / Portal server etc.
2. Installed Oracle Content in Weblogic Domain 2, created the relevant schema for the middleware app using RCU.
3. Weblogic Admin Server starts successfully and am able to launch the 'console' and 'em' app, successfully.
4. When I try to start the UCM_server1 managed server, with command
startManagedWebLogic UCM_server1 http://<my localhost ip>:8001/console, it throws below error.
NOTE - I HAVE TRIED THE EXISTING response to similar problem available in the forum -
a. Tried deleting the LDAP files from the C:\oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\content_base_domain\servers\UCM_server1 directory and re-starting
b. Tried checking the windows host file and updating for localhost.

Have highlihgted in bold, the first exception is thrown by getDNForUser search statement.

INDIA-8805019989Got another thread - Unable to start managed server. for the right answer.
Solution In all-
1. Start your admin server
2. Change the Listen Address of both Admin and Managed Server to "localhost" and save the settings
3. Re-start the Admin Server
4. Change the host file to cover "localhost" resolving address with an entry - 127.0.0.1 localhost
5. Start the managed server - startManagedWeblogic UCM_server1 http://localhost:7001/
There is no problem in the boot.properties file, so no need to delete the existing security files.

Unable to start the Weblogic 10 server
Hello all,
I have recently installed weblogic 10 application server on a Linux box successfully, and then created a domain and was trying to start the application server with the start script like
./startWebLogic.sh
I have configured the user name and password to be weblogic/weblogic.

But I must confess one thing here, I was able to successfully install WL 10 , created a domain and installed my application on another Linux box and I havent found the folder security under AdminServer neither the boot.properties. And that server starts and stops fine.

Unable to start OBI 11.1.1.6 Services....on Win7

I have successfully installed OBIEE 11.1.1.6 version on windows7. I have used it for few days and after that a error came in while starting the OBI services.

There was a java error "SVR_GRP =\Java\jre6\lib\ext\QTJava.zip was unexpected at this time"
by removing the entry of CLASSPATH: C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\lib\ext\QTJava.zip and made as CLASSPATH: .;
I could resolve by doing this.. but i could not fix the JMX Connectivity error.
Please help me resolve the issue..

You have 2 options....
1. Try starting the install.exe with Run as Administrator mode by right click on install.exe.. if did not work out
2. change the compatibility to Windows XP or Vista.. for sure you will have successful install.

Unable to Start CE 7.1 Server on Windows 7 / Vista OS
Dear All,
I am trying to install CE 7.1 Server (Java Stack) on my personal laptop ( Windows 7 Home Basic, Intell Core i3 processor, 4GB RAM).
In the 1st attempt ,the installation failed on Windows 7 OS due to incompatible OS errors.
So, I installed VMWare 6.5 Workstation, installed Windows Server 2003 OS on it and again tried to install CE 7.1 server on this virtual Windows Server2003 OS.
Though CE Server got installed properly and the portal was running when I tested the portal just after installing the CE Server for the first time, ( i.e. without the System restart) ,
But the CE Server is not getting started after restarting the Windows Server 2003 OS ( through VMWare ) or on system restart.
On Analysis, we observe that jstart.exe process is stopped while other services ( message service and enqueue service ) are running.
( jstart service initially shows Starting... but then goes into a Stopped state ).
I have even tried to install CE Server on another laptop ( Windows Vista , Core 2 Duo Processor )
Here, the CE Server got installed ( no need of VMWare )and even the portal was running when I logged in it immediately after installing the CE server for the first time. ( Without System restart )
But like in previous case , when I tried to start the CE server again( After restarting the PC ), I faced the same problem -- CE server did not start reason being jstart service remained in stopped state.
Is this (jstart service) the main cause for Server not getting started ?
Can we start this service manually ?
Is there any system properties or Windows service which is conflicting with the jstart service ?
Is there any alternative method to install CE Server on Windows 7 / Vista OS ?
Please help ...

Please verify the DB service is running. The database service is not set to automatically start so it would not be running when you restarted the server. Go to 'Services' windows application and either start the DB service manually or set it to start automatically.

I restored my Laptop to previous system timestamp. and Installed Bitdefender Internet security on top of my resoted system.
