Unauthorised payment despite auto re-charge being ...
Despite deactivating my auto-recharge almost a year ago, today Skype have taken a payment. Although their "customer services" (ha-ha-ha) website tells me lots of nice things, there seems to be actually be NOTHING I can do to claim this money back.
Can anyone please advise or better still, give me an email address where I can contact the accounts dept. The customer services website in reality is actually NO HELP WHATSOEVER!!!!

I have set my daughter up her own Itunes on my pc but, despite all the settings being right and having logged in on her own account it will not sync music. the first time she tried it wiped any music off that is on there and now will go through sync but music is still not syncing to the ipod. it also shows on the bar at the battom as audio content being there but wont appear.

Select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History on your computer.
Currently, if your purchase happens to be your most recent purchase you will not be redirected to the report form, in this case use the report a problem option from the invoice that was emailed to you. -
Shuts down despite registering a charge
Lately when running on the battery, my MacBook Pro quits despite showing a charge of ~20%, and with no warning. The battery has less capacity than when new, but still runs for maybe an hour or so. Is the unanticipated shutdown a battery problem or a computer problem? Any advice? Thanks!

I am having the exact same issue as the others described. This just started happening about a week ago. I've had my MacBook Pro for 9 months. When the battery gets down to anywhere between, say, 30% to 40% remaining, the computer just turns completely off without any warning at all. No "lower power" warning or anything---it just turns off.
I looked at the link that is posted above on how to recalibrate your battery, however, I don't think any of us can do this because the instructions do not apply to us. Here is what the Apple article says to do:
-Plug in the power adapter and fully charge your PowerBook's battery until the light ring or LED on the power adapter plug changes to green and the onscreen meter in the menu bar indicates that the battery is fully charged.
-Allow the battery to rest in the fully charged state for at least two hours. You may use your computer during this time as long as the adapter is plugged in.
-Disconnect the power adapter with the computer still on and start running the computer off battery power. You may use your computer during this time. When your battery gets low, you will see the low battery warning dialog on the screen.
-Continue to keep your computer on until it goes to sleep. Save all your work and close all applications when the battery gets very low, before the computer goes to sleep.
-Turn off the computer or allow it to sleep for five hours or more.
-Connect the power adapter and leave it connected until the battery is fully charged again.
The problem with this is that they tell you to use the computer until the low battery warning dialog box appears. However, since we do not receive a low battery warning dialog box, we can not follow these instructions. Our computers simply turn off without any warning.
Also, I don't know about others, but I have never been able to get a "green" or "fully charged" indication for my battery. It usually goes up to 98% or 99%---but I've never had it go to 100%. Sometimes the light will go green when the battery indicator shows 98%, however, I have never had BOTH a green light AND a 100% battery reading. Anyone else have this same thing happen?
I have also tried the PRAM reset (or maybe it's called SMC reset--I'm not sure). But this is where you restart the computer by holding down these four keys:
Command
Option
The "P" key
The "R" key
You hold these four keys down during a restart, and wait for it to play the startup sound two times---then let go of the keys and allow the computer to restart.
Okay, so do I have all of these right? If so, I think we are all still stuck and not sure what to do. Thank you very much! -
Unauthorised payments from itunes and nobody can help me
itunes tried to take £14.98 from my account five times in a row on Saturday morning. What's odd is not only that I didn't make any of the purchases at the time they happened (although that is fundamentally wrong) but that the sum matches the last amount I spent at itunes and it seems to have happened at the same time as I was updating five apps on my itouch. I don't know if these are just huge coincidences or not.
My bank caught the unusual activity and blocked my card after the third payment.
In the meantime I managed to speak to someone in Dublin who can't help me with this as it's too sensitive (it seems her remit is to help reset passwords). In fact there is nobody I can speak to about something as important as having had unauthorised payments taken from my account. My only recourse has been to send Apple two messages through its hugely unhelpful online form. I was told I'd get a reply within 24 hours. As yet, nada.
I'm stuck as to what to do. Nobody I speak to can help me. The person who responds to this online form seems to be away from his desk. I have a blocked card and itunes keeps telling me I owe it money as the payments my bank blocked are waiting for me.
Anybody know of a way I can actually speak to someone at Apple about this?

I'm annoyed that I'm annoyed at Apple. I thought it was better than this.I also have this problem but I have recently had over £250 taken out in 20 different transactions in 2 days!!!!! My bank instantly refunded me and stopped my card but we are still awaiting to hear from Apple. No way of contacting anyone at all just and email service in which no one has replied too! This is appalling considering who they are. I need info on what to do with regards to my account!

You've checked the purchase history on your account via your computer's iTunes : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it. Click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases.

If nothing shows on your iTunes purchase history (you don't have a Mac and have any purchases in the Mac App Store), and you only have the one account, then you should contact your card issuer.

Quarterly Payments for Phone Number Charged in the...
I used to live in Australia, where I had a Premium Account with SKYPE MANAGER and a US Skype Number billed in AUD. I converted the Premium Account to USD and a USD Credit Card, and all "high-level" billings are working correctly. However, when the quarterly telephone charge comes through, it's still in AUD. I can't find any way to change this quarterly telephone billing to USD, so it matches the rest of my account.
I don't want to lose the number (i.e., cancel number and buy a new one). Too many family members have me at this number...

So- you have a recurring payment agreement which was done in AUD. And that is the reason why you are being charged in this currency.
If you wish to be billed in USD then you need to cancel recurring paymenr agreement for this number and sign up for a new one making sure the currency is correct.

Unauthorised payment through paypal account
Today I received emails for two payments USD 60 each through my paypal account. Just before that got a mail from Skype saying that"Registered e-mail sucessfully updated" however when i tried to contact Skype customer support, unfortunately it didn't work even after more than 10 efforts through different browsers.
I already access to my Skype account and noted that the hacker has changed the primary e-mail. So I changed my e-mail and passwords immediately and deactivate the paypal link to skype account. Also reported to Paypal.
Can you please advise what will happen to the amount charged to my paypal account?I have the exact same problem. I got an email that my primary email on my Skype account has been updated and shortly after there was a 50 EUR charge against my Paypal account. I have since done email and password updates to my Skype account and severed the link to Paypal.
Question is, how do I redeem my 50 EUR? Skype/Microsoft does not seem to offer any direct support for cases were accounts are taken over and users are robbed of their money. Instead we are asked to make a post on a community page which just horrible.
Skype should not offer up functionality for a fee if they can't support customers when their accounts are being hi-jacked. -
Auto re-charge cancelled; max credit; card not aut...
After having issues with skype for 1 week I have now recieved an email to say my skype auto recharge has been cancelled. 1 reason says I''ve reached my max credit for the month (?) then in other communication it implies that my card isnt authorised.
However, my bank has just text me 3 times to tell me a payment of $16 has gone through (so 16x3) payments but no skype credit?

I have a new Apple iPad2 which will not connect to my wi fi despite a new router. When I tap the correct address it comes up with the message "Unable to join the network TalkTalketc... It does connect in other peoples' houses . Am I right in thinking that the trouble is with TalkTalk?
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app

• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

AR Down Payment and Freight/Additional Charges
We have several clients that would like the following functionallity:
When creating and AR Down Payment Invoice form a Sales Order, the Freight/Additional expenses should be populated.
The fields should be active so users can apply partial payments and the amounts reduce the open balance on the Sales Order appropriately, leaving the Sales Order open for adjustment (i.e. increased frieght charge)
This function should work as all other marketing documents do, allowing the mentioned fields to be drawn to the AR Down Payment.

My client, who only sells to distributors, so no sales tax is charged, has a web site that enables their customers to purchase products and pay for them using a credit card. Most products are priced to include freight, insurance, and handling charges. However, if the customer wants the product shipped over night, they can pay an additional freight charge. The Web site then forwards a sales order to the manufacturing site with the ordered item number and a flat rate shipping charge for over night delivery. The sales order is created in SAP B1 and since the order has been pre-paid, the special orders representative that manages these orders, creates a down payment invoice and enters a payment for the full amount of the order including the freight charge. When the actual invoice is created later, it is saved as a draft so that the special orders representative can drawn from the down payment invoice. But, since only the item price amount can be drawn, the freight charge has to be handled with an internal reconciliation.
