Undelete user

Can we bring back a user status to Active from "Deleted"?

It is not recommended as it is against Audit but yes you can chang ethe value of USR_STATUS column and bring back Deleted user into OIM.

  • We just received our new mac and took it to the store to have the old files from our last computer transferred over.  Now we can't find all our files.  There was more then one user on the old machine.  How can we find the files from the other users?

We need to find where the files for the other user on the computer are now located.  There were two other users on the old machine, which was taken into the store and ALL files were suppose to be transferred over to this computer. HELP!

It appears what happened is the installer though it was looking at a empty drive and just went ahead and installed.
I of course am assuming here you didn't use Disk Utility to format the drive first before installing, that would wipe out your files and programs for sure.
So what to do, what to do.
Well there is hope for you as long as the drive wasn't Filevaulted.
I'll explain. When a hard drive writes data for the first time to a drive, it starts at the very top and works it's way down.
When OS X was installed the first time, it was at the top of the drive, unless you upgraded then the upgraded OS X could have been written elsewhere.
Now when you just reinstalled OS X, the new OS went on the top of the drive, overwriting any data that was there previously, so what was there you have lost forever which is about 8GB or so. If it was the previous OS there, then your more in luck because only the old OS X was overwritten.
The remaining space on the drive still can have a copy of your files, provided it's not overwritten yet.
It's because when a hard drive deletes data or reformats, it doesn't remove the data off the drive or overwrites it immediately, it's just made so it's SPACE is available for new files to be written there.
So technically one can recover the deleted data off a non-encrypted/scrubbed hard drive with special software.
The way it does this is it reads the 1's and 0's of the files themselves, and through a lot of figuring out, can tell what that file is and what it belongs too.
So what you will have to do is this:
Create a data recovery/undelete external boot drive
or if you don't have the skills, then take it to a local PC/Mac tech and they can do a direct image of the drive and then you can run Data Rescue on it to rebuild your files.

  • Issue while UNDELETE the PO line item

    Hi MM Sapperu2019s,
I am facing an issue where one of my user wrongly activated the deletion for 1 line item in the PO and now when I tried to undelete the PO line item it was giving me the below error,
Error as Requisition XXXXXX, item XXXX, assigned to other order account
    Message no. 06251
Please help me to fix this issue.
    PS:
I have found similar SDN links but where the issue is PO has linked with Sale order and in my case the PO account assignment has linked with network.
Moderator do not lock this query saying that similar issue has been already discussed
    Awaiting for the experts reply.
    Cheers,
    Kumar.S

Is that the background to your problem:
you have a requisition and you created a PO 1 for this requisition,
then you deleted the PO 1 and requisition became open again,
then the requisition was change in account assignment
and then you created a PO 2 for this requisition.
what do you expect from re-opening the PO 1?

  • Where is the sync key saved, is there a specific file in which it might be saved? prefs.js or user.js?

Hey all, I really hope I can get an answer to this issue because it's been 3 days a-crackin' with absolutely nothing certain.
I had decided to fresh install FF because it had been giving me some trouble and what I thought should be a breeze ended up being a total disaster. I was using FF Sync and selected to sync my BM's, addons and prefs. Now to my surprise, upon re-installation, I found out I needed the sync key. I had never needed that so I never thought of saving it, also never knew this was a one way ticket to information loss... The worst part is that I didn't back up my profile thinking "Hey, everything is sync so what for" So for the past 3 days, I've been trying to recover lost/deleted files from my previous profile, hoping that I maybe get my hands on the sync key somehow someway in a certain file in plain text.
If it is saved in plain text, in which file would that be. I'm using a friend's pc now because I dare not plug my HD now since there's a high risk of losing any possible recovery chances I have for the lost profile files (I'm using an external usb thingie and I'm using an undelete software to recover lost files
On another note, is it really necessary to clear all sync data when requesting a new sync key? I get the security risks and all but isn't that why there's a username/password combo? I mean, no one would be able to reset my sync key/account unless they have my username/pass so technically I should be able to reset my key without having to lose the info in the account... and save a lot of people of lot of anguish... my 2 cents
    Fredo

'''When''' you request a new Sync Key (Recovery Key) your data is wiped from the Sync server, so don't do that.
Three things you need to connect to the Sync server - user name, password, and your Sync Key (Recovery Key).
BTW, Sync really isn't intended as a backup medium as you are attempting to do. It's purpose is to synchronize your Firefox data across multiple different devices that you may own.

  • Getting Undeleted Topic to Appear in Client Working Folders

I'm testing out the Undo Deletion function in RoboSource
Control and am having a little trouble getting an
undeleted/restored topic to appear in RoboHelp HTML. (This is
RoboHelp X5.) After I undelete a topic, I can see it in the
database using RoboSource Control and in the relevant project's
folders on my hard drive using Windows Explorer. However, when I
open the relevant project in RoboHelp HTML, the topic is nowhere to
be found. I tried doing a Get Latest Version and Check Out All, but
neither of these caused the undeleted/restored topic to be visible
from RoboHelp HTML. The only workaround I' ve been able to use is
to import the file back into the project. (I haven't spent any time
to determine whether this will break or courrupt anything in the
    project.)
Is there any way to get an undeleted/restored topic to
automatically appear in a project for all client users? Note: By
automatic, I am including "Get Latest Version" or "Check Out All"
as you clearly need to do something to copy the file over to each
client's working folders. We'll have as many as 4 client users and
I need to ensure they'll all be able to work from an accurate copy
    of each help project.
    Thanks!

So, to make sure I understand, every time I undelete/restore
a topic, I'll need to alert all 4 client users and then each of
them will need to open the project on their machine and import the
    undeleted/restored topic?
Also, I'm currently running all these tests with the Client
and Server installations on my machine. When we deploy this, we'll
have a dedicated server and 4 client users. Now, when I undelete a
topic, I notice that this automatically restores the .htm file to
the relevant working folder - however, it's the SERVER'S working
    folders. Thefore, it seems like:
the client users will have to import
the .htm file by browsing over our network to the Server's working
    folders; OR
    the administrator could, using
RoboSource Control, check the file out and then back in to each
client's relevant working folders (which would place a copy of the
file on their machines and then they could import it into the
    project from there); OR
    the administrator could just e-mail
them a copy of the file and they could import it from wherever on
their machine (they'd just have to be sure they import it into the
    correct project folder).
    Is any of this accurate?
    Thanks!

  • Remove GrantSendOnBehalfTo disabled user accounts - A novice at scripting

    Hello.  Can anyone help please
In our exchange 2010 environment we have users who are granted send on behalf to access.  Obviously some users leave and I m finding that there are ghosts left behind which are causing issues with our team who add users into the grantsendonbehalfto
option using the EMC.  Using the log view we coy out the command and then remove the disabled user from the command and then paste this into an Exchange Powershell command line.  This wrks because it is doing what Exchange EMC does which is rewrites
the -GrantSendOnBehalfTo option in it new entirety.
The problem occurs because I need to remove these en-mass from approx 700 plus accounts.
I have tried to modify one user in order to get the script to work but it doesn't.
This is the error message that happens when I run the script below against a known account with at least 2 disabled users in:-

#1 - I recommend posting in xchange forum fo rhow to do this
#2 - Wen an account is disabled most on the information in the object is hidden.  YOu would need to undelete to use the object.

  • Is there a way to undelete files in solaris, either solaris 8 or solaris 10

    Hi Everyone,
Want to check with you whether any option available to undelete a file in solaris8 or solaris10. Please let me know.
    Thanks everyone,
    Lakshmana Immidi.

Maybe, but mostly no. If you do a Google search you will see many ways to undelete files, but all are based on a number of assumptions:
    1. You are not using ZFS. Most of these methods work with UFS or ext2/ext3.
    2. You stop immediately upon accidentally deleting the file. A multiuser system is continually generating files, whether from users or from temporary processes that are running all the time. Any disk blocks your original file was on may get over-written very quickly by new files. Inodes of the files may get re-used, and inodes don't contain the name of the file they reference.
If using ZFS on Solaris 10, using snapshots is the best way to preserve user files. You can roll back to a previous snapshot, or even just go to the directory the snapshot is stored in and copy the file over. You can set up a script to take snapshots at various times to ensure you always have a fairly recent copy. You can also take incremental snapshots so you don't have to copy tons of data with each snapshot.

  • To restrict undeleting/unblocking of  a PR line item

    HI,
My scenario is such that a PR is created and approved  in SRM and  in R/3 you can delete the PR line item and also undelete/unlock it.
My issue over here is that once the PR line item is deleted it cannot be restored or undeleted/unlocked, only the persom with special rights can unlock/undelete it.
    Chintan

    HI ,
You can acheive this by following :
Create a new Doc type for PR ( specific to PR  Created by SRM  ) .
In User Exit,  Validate  the follwoing combination "User having speciic roles" + "Doc Type  same as above" is trying to undelete the PR item , then allows the user else throws error.
Hope this will solve your query.

  • Undelete a deleted PO item line10

I want to undelete a deleted PO.
I am using ME22N select a line item  but the delete symbol is in display mode. I have to undelete a line item. Please help...

    Hi,
If you will delete the all line items of PO, system will not set the
deletion indicator at the header level because you can undelete the
any individual line again. If system will set the deletion indicator
at the header level then user can not undelete individual line item.
This behavior of system is correct.
You can activate the functionality of PO cancellation at the header
level as mentioned in note 578630 also. For this, you needs to
implement the BADI ME_ACTV_CANCEL_PO. You needs to set the indicator
is_active as X in the implementation of BADI.
    is_active = 'X'.
Once you will activate the implementation of BADI,  then system will
display "DELETE" icon at the application toolbar of Purchase order.
If you will click on header Delete icon, system will put the deletion
indicator at all the line items of PO as well as at the header  level.
In that case, system fills the value C in field  EKKO-LOEKZ.
User can undo cancellation of PO at the header level also.
Another hint About EKKO-LOEKZ and archiving process
to reset the EKKO-LOEKZ, as per note 401318, this was
not covered by SAP Support as it was NOT a standard process, and the
setting of EKKO-LOEKZ was NOT planned in the standard functionality.
the report Z_RESET_EKKO_LOEKZ in note 688856
might help you to write your own customize report for this purpose.
Please read the note 401318 carefully before your further process.

  • User deleted posted miro invoice

    Hi SAP Gurus,
Surprisingly user was able to delete the posted MIRO invoice (infact a paid invoice) using MIR4, then going to Edit- Display/Change and Invoice document-Delete. I can see the deleted invoice under Purchasing history in the PO but when i click on the Invoice it says invoice has been deleted.
How is it possible to delete the posted invoice. When running MRBR report this particular invoice document is showing everyday in the report. how to resolve this particular issue.
I would appreciate your insight on this issue,
    Thanks.

what you describes does not really sound logical.
MIR4 allows only to change via Edit- Display/Change  if the invoice is a parked invoice.
but a parked invoice cannot really been paid.
And once the parked ivoice is deleted, then it is not shown anymore in purchase order history.
if that is the case then you should read OSS Note 595535 - MIR7: Undeleted entries in purchase order history

  • User exits, Bapi , badi ?

    Hi Gurus,
What are user exits, BAPI and BADI ?
Short and sweet answers would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    BAPI
BAPI stands for Business API(Application Program Interface).
A BAPI is remotely enabled function module ie it can be invoked from remote programs like standalone JAVA programs, web interface etc..
You can make your function module remotely enabled in attributes of Function module but
A BAPI are standard SAP function modules provided by SAP for remote access. Also they are part of Businees Objest Repository(BOR).
BAPI are RFC enabled function modules. the difference between RFc and BAPI are business objects. You create business objects and those are then registered in your BOR (Business Object Repository) which can be accessed outside the SAP system by using some other applications (Non-SAP) such as VB or JAVA. in this case u only specify the business object and its method from external system in BAPI there is no direct system call. while RFC are direct system call Some BAPIs provide basic functions and can be used for most SAP business object types. These BAPIs should be implemented the same for all business object types. Standardized BAPIs are easier to use and prevent users having to deal with a number of different BAPIs. Whenever possible, a standardized BAPI must be used in preference to an individual BAPI.
The following standardized BAPIs are provided:
Reading instances of SAP business objects
GetList ( ) With the BAPI GetList you can select a range of object key values, for example, company codes and material numbers.
The BAPI GetList() is a class method.
GetDetail() With the BAPI GetDetail() the details of an instance of a business object type are retrieved and returned to the calling program. The instance is identified via its key. The BAPI GetDetail() is an instance method. BAPIs that can create, change or delete instances of a business object type
The following BAPIs of the same object type have to be programmed so that they can be called several times within one transaction. For example, if, after sales order 1 has been created, a second sales order 2 is created in the same transaction, the second BAPI call must not affect the consistency of the sales order 2. After completing the transaction with a COMMIT WORK, both the orders are saved consistently in the database.
    Create( ) and CreateFromData! ( )
The BAPIs Create() and CreateFromData() create an instance of an SAP business object type, for example, a purchase order. These BAPIs are class methods.
    Change( )
The BAPI Change() changes an existing instance of an SAP business object type, for example, a purchase order. The BAPI Change () is an instance method.
Delete( ) and Undelete( ) The BAPI Delete() deletes an instance of an SAP business object type from the database or sets a deletion flag.
The BAPI Undelete() removes a deletion flag. These BAPIs are instance methods.
Cancel ( ) Unlike the BAPI Delete(), the BAPI Cancel() cancels an instance of a business object type. The instance to be cancelled remains in the database and an additional instance is created and this is the one that is actually canceled. The Cancel() BAPI is an instance method.
Add<subobject> ( ) and Remove<subobject> ( ) The BAPI Add<subobject> adds a subobject to an existing object inst! ance and the BAPI and Remove<subobject> removes a subobject from an object instance. These BAPIs are instance methods.

    User Exits
User exits are a type of system enhancement that were originally developed for the R/3 SD.
The SAP developer creates a special include in a module pool. These includes contain one or more subroutines that satisfy the naming convention userexit_<name>. The calls for these subroutines have already been implemented in the R/3 program. Refer Conventional SD User exits Slides
A user exit is considered a modification, since technically objects in the SAP namespace are being modified.
After delivering them, SAP never alters includes created in this manner; if new user exits must be delivered in a new release, they are placed in a new include program.
    Customer Exits
Customer exits are “hooks” provided by SAP within many standard programs, screens and menus on which customers may “hang” custom functionality to meet business requirements

  • Can I undelete or retrieve deleted photos from my Iphone?

I have deleted a few important photos from my Iphone. Is there a way to get these back?
The phone has not been synched with these photos.
    Here is the full story:
I rented a car in Florida. Took photos of a few minor scratches when I accepted it.
Returned the car and since the case was closed for me, deleted these photos.
Now the car rental company claims damage to the back door and has charged me $250 on my Credit Card.
I am disputing the charge with my bank, but it would be nice to have the deleted photos as proof.
I tried several software that are claiming they can do this, but they do not even recognize the attached Iphone.
    Thanks

Well, it's true that if those photos haven't been synched via iTunes before you deleted them, it's almost impossible to restore them. For other Mac users who see this thread and meet similar suffering but synced before those files are deleted, go to this article for how to undelete iphone files via iTunes (pretty new and useful).
