Under manage search engines, i would delete "Ask" search engine, but it keep populating when I close and re-open firefox.

After deleting "Ask" search engine it would repopulate when firefox is closed and reopened. I also tried to move the order of the search engines but "Ask" is always set to the primary search engine.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.

To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.

In the optional install items-Quick Time is not an option. I am on Leopard.
Then you either:
1) never had QT X installed and could not have deleted it since QT X is only installed on Snow Leopard (OS X v10.6), Lion (OS X v10.7), and Mountain Lion (OS X v10.8) systems or...

Firefox 14 keeps crashing upon loading. Maybe sticks open for 10 seconds, but without any functionality. Then closes and asks me to restart or close.

I have tried reinstalling, opening it in safe mode with add-ons disabled as well..
I don't get anything from the crash reports either, as it wont allow me to see it.
I have tried everything that I possible could think about..
I'm lost on this one.

Ok, go ahead and do these steps:
First, verify you have a backup copy of your profile ([[Recovering important data from an old profile]] will show you how to, as will [[Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles]] ).
After doing that, uninstall Firefox from your computer. Use the Add Remove programs inside your control panel to do that.
Then, open up your Computer, go to the C:/ Drive. Go to Program files (it may be called Program Files(x86)), and find the Mozilla Firefox folder. Delete it.
Then, click your start button, type in %APPDATA%, and press Enter. right click the folder called Mozilla (I would make a copy of this folder first) and click delete.
Then, restart your PC.
Now, go to [http://www.getfirefox.com www.getfirefox.com], and re-download Firefox and reinstall it. Does Firefox work now, or at least provide you a crash ID?

Firefox doesn't ask if I want to save sites when I close it and allways comes up the same three unwanted sites when I open it again.

It used to re-boot with the tabs and sites I had asked it to save when I closed down last. Now when I close it doesn't ask if I want to 'save tabs'. I couldn't find a way to resolve the problem through firefox. The saving or not saving passwords with or without asking was ridiculous. However, I did find a solution, a firefox add on called Last Pass. I've been using it now for a couple of weeks and love it. I only have to enter the main password for my Last Pass acct and from there any site I go to Last Pass captures my info, then asks if I want it saved. Give it a try it's really easy and does what it is supposed to do. It even gave me the option of disconnecting firefox's not so reliable password mgr.

How do I delete a song from my iTunes, keep it in the cloud and in the playlist it resides?

Interesting question. I just tested it myself and it is working as expected. My first suggestion is to ensure you're running the latest version of iTunes.
Then simply delete the song from your library, do NOT check the box to also remove it from iCloud, click Delete Item, then click Move to Trash. The little cloud icon appears next to it in the list. Then go view the playlist and the song will still be there, again with a cloud icon next to it. Additionally, next to the playlist in the sidebar, there will be a iCloud download button as well.

Why would Thunderbird ask "create a new Get Satisfaction account" when I want to post a question

I know I am in wrong place talking about Thunderbird but Mozilla is a name I trust.
When I want to ask a question in Thunderbird site, I had to make new account when I wanted to post the question it is asking to make another account or use Yahoo/Facebook/Twitter.
Because of all this kind of cheating and fake things I started using Mozilla products but it seems I was wrong.
Just enlighten why would two accounts are needed to post a question?

I haven't been able to open Firefox for over a week. I would like to uninstall it, but I can't because it says it's open, but I don't see it is. Please tell me what to do.

As it is, the app requests pw for my old Apple ID which is since way back obsolete. I cant access iTunes either because of the same reason so it is a catch 22 situation I am stuck in. What to do?

If the old iCloud ID is your ID, and if your new iCloud ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

So, awhilw back I tryed to sync my ipod with my friends itunes library, my ipod didn't have any room to store all the music so all the songs came up but can't be played. I tryed to sync my ipod to my itunes library, and it keeps saying the ipod's over capacity and won't download any of the new music I bought to the library. If I can somehow back up my new music to the icloud or something, that'd be great that way I could just restore my ipod then download all my music back on it. You need to delete the music you got from your friend. You fried does not have the licence/right to give you a copy of it.
I would restore the iPod from a backup on your computer and sync your own media to the iPod.

It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the extensions.* files (e.g. extensions.json, extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.
