Unit of measure EA is not convertible to stockkeeping unit LB

Hi,
I am getting this error when doing a goods issue for a process order with 2 components that have different units of measure, like EA & LB. I am using 'BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE' for this. Has anybody encountered this problem before? Please share your ideas on fixing this issue.
Regards,
V M.

HI VM,
Check with ST in place of EA.
However here is the general idea to fix the issue with BAPI which is working in SAP but not from MII.
1. Open se37 in SAP GUI.
2. Enter your FM name and Execute it with debugging.
3. It will open a new debugger window.
4. Look in Local variables tab for all your INPUTs.
5. Check the difference between your entered input parameters and converted input parameters. like number formatting, spaces and ever conversion like PC to PCE.
Hope this will help.
Thanks

  • Unit of Measure PCE is not an ISO Code

    Hi MDM Experts,
We experienced problems in transferring the Catalog item to the shopping cart. The following error message appears:
"Incomplete items in catalog. Only complete items were transferred "
I checked SLG1 for the OCI error message and found this log:
"Unit of measure PCE is not an ISO code. Item will not be transferred"
I checked table CUNI in both the ERP and SRM server and I found out that PCE is indeed an ISO code. How can I resolve this error? The system is saying that PCE is not an ISO code but the table shows that it is. Is this a bug or something?
Would appreciate your help. Thanks in advance!
    ADP

It turned out that in ERP and SRM, ST is the ISO code used for UOM piece. The ISO code in the Data Manager was changed to synchronize the three systems.

  • Error: In language EN, the internal unit of measure DA is not maintained.

    hi
i am doing subcontracting operation and when i try to convert the PR into p.o in co02 the system gives this error
In language EN, the internal unit of measure DA is not maintained.
how can i solve this error...

    Hi,
    There are couple of things..
    1. PR to PO Creation is not with T.Code: CO02.
    2. It seems you are working on Multi Global environment.
Ask your Basis Team to do the Language imports for UOM.

  • Cost/revenue rate E_MOE_DEC, 00000000: unit of measure PDA does not exist

    Dear community,
I am still working on SAP PPM FICO & CATS integration.
I can't replicate my cost/revenue rate in the ECC system.
There is the error message : Cost/revenue rate (name of the cost/revenue rate) : unit of measure PDA does not exist
Does someone know what PDA is ?
I customized the units with FTE.
Thank you in advance for your help.
    Best,
    Cassoké

    Hi Cassoke,
Through analysis found that you need to define 'Units of Measurement' PDA which is linked to the capacity unit 'FTE'.
Just check whether you have the PDA unit of measurement in tcode-CUNI or under SPRO-->PPM-->Portfolio Management-->Global Customizing-->Global Settings-->Define Units of Measurement.
Select dimensions 'Time' and click on 'Units of Measurement' and if no PDA entry is there, create an entry(Attached screenshot for your reference).
    Hope this helps.

    Hi,
Maintain in the Material Master data for your material.
The UoM Group field is on the Oil-specific data tab in MM02.

  • Unit of measure(Pur UOM) not printing in Good issue(MB90)

    Hi,
when printing  using MB90 good issue, unit of measure(under heading Pur
UOM) is not printing in the report
Can you please give any tips to solve this problem?
    With Regards,
    Jaheer,MM consultant

    HI,
Ordering Unit of Measure is different from Unit of Issue.
Please check the material master record and input the fields accordingly. this information is carried to PO from Material master record as soon as you select this material.
Now in the form you have to guide the abaper to build a layout to get the appropriate information and have the logic built to get the relavent field names into the printout depending upon the screen field.

  • Component material costing (Unit of Measure conversion) is not working at S

    Hi,
Unit of Measure conversion factor (Value) is not working for component materials at Sales order level costing, but the same conversion factor is working fine at Standard cost estimation level.
    Example:
Conversion Factor for Raw materials (Procurement in Tones, Consumption in Each)
    1 Ton (Rs.1000) = 10 Each (per Each u2013 Rs.100)
For Manufacturing of 1 pc FG is required 1 each Raw material
Issue: At sales Order level - Raw material costing is calculated at u201CTonu201D price u2013 Rs.1000 instead of u201CEachu201D price u2013 Rs.100.
    Regards
    Nagesh

    Hi,
Pricing (unit conversion) is done different for MM and SD process.
MM has decided to use the old process which determines the values out of T006. There you have the conversion factors which are used in PO. If you create a sales order or billing document the determination will be different as the material master will be read.

  • CK11N Unit of Measure MIN & HR not consistenly shows

We try to run standard cost estimate using CK11N. As a result some activity type "E" has MIN (minutes) as unit of measurement. By right it should show as HR (hours) because this was the unit we have been using since SAP went live. This problem occurs recently after we have done
    patch 22 to 55.
There was no changes in work center, routing, material master. All remain the same.
In routing using MIN for setup time, since long time back.
This problem occured whenever we have setup time between
1 to 5 minutes. If we put 5 minutes above then it will show
as HR, which we are expected to.
For the calculation of cost for activity type there is
nothing wrong, the formula key and formula inside
    work center was correct.
So, the question is, is there any setup to tell
the converstion to display as MIN insteas of HR
whenever setup time in routing we put
    between certain condition, let say
    1-10 will show as MIN
10 and above will show as HR.
There is no error message for this, only display
    a different result.
    Thank You

    Hi Berliner
Yes, SAP converts the UOM on the lower degrees if the calculated figures are so small the they are going out of calculations. This I have observed many a times.
Hence according to me costing lot size should be aligned with the routing base quantity or if some Fixed costs are involved in any operation/activity, the costing lot should be optimum to cover the fixed charges else per unit cost will be wrongly inflated.

  • How to assign a value for Unit of measure (like PC, KG...) in ABAP program?

    Hi,
How to assign a value for Unit of measure (like PC, KG...) in ABAP program?
I want to assign PC in a field to execute the program, like wa-ENTRY_UOM = 'pc'.
But the system returen a message that "Unit of measure  is not convertible to stockkeeping unit PC"
Could anyone tell me how to assign the value??
        Thanks!

    hi,
first convert the quantity in the same unit  ( like in you case ST to PC )  by using FM :    MD_CONVERT_MATERIAL_UNIT
    CALL FUNCTION 'MD_CONVERT_MATERIAL_UNIT'
        EXPORTING
          i_matnr                    = matnr
          i_in_me                    = entry_uom
          i_out_me                   = out_uom
          i_menge                    = quantity
       IMPORTING
         E_MENGE                     = fp_l_v_quant
       EXCEPTIONS
         ERROR_IN_APPLICATION       = 1
         ERROR                      = 2
         OTHERS                     = 3.
      IF sy-subrc <> 0.
              give error message here
       ENDIF.
bcoz in ur program somewhere the quantities etc are compared and there units may be different... so that is why it is showing such error.  so just convert convert the quantity in the same unit  .

  • Unit of Measure per country

    Hello Experts,
I am at a client that is implementing SAP ECC 6.0 in the US and Canada. In the material master, they have a chemical product. In the US they want to inventory the item in Gallons, in Canada they want to inventory the same chemical in Litres. I would prefer not having to create materials according to the UoM. I know in the material master the Base UoM is in MARA table. So if I was to create the chemical material, how do I set it so that the chemical is inventoried in Gallons in the US and Litre in Canada.
    Thanks for your help!!!

    Hello,
In Inventory Management, the base unit of measure is the same as the stockkeeping unit.. Like as said you need Gallons as stock keeping unit for US and litres for Canada.
I hope that this two ( US & Canada) are seprate entities and will be defined as two seprate plants in your SAP orgainsation structure.
As base unit of measure is stock keeping unit, so you can seprately maintianed UOM for respective plants under basic data view and purchasing view in Material master record. The system converts all the quantities you enter in other units of measure (alternative units of measure) to the base unit of measure which is maintained in additional data tab of material master record,
Now, like you want to stock transfer from US( Gallons) to Canada ( Litres)
Here you can make use of order unit which is maintained in material master record in purchasing view and info record.
You need to activate order unit in material master record and aloso need to main the conversion factor gallons to litre in additional data of MMR.
For US, keep your order unit  as Litres, so whenever you order the material from canada or external vendor it iwll be orderd in litres, which will finally be converted in to Gallons during goods reciept as it is your stock keeping unit.
For Canada, keep you order unit as Gallons, during external procuremt or STO it will be in Gallons, but goods reciept will be done in Litres

  • How to correct CIF error Base unit of measure does not exist?

    Dear experts,
I'm trying to cif a location product with base unit of measure KG in R/3 and alternative unit of measure well maintained.
it gives me a CIF queue saying that
"Base unit of measure ZXX does not exist (Product 0000000000000XXXXXX has not been created)"
I do not understand why, the unit ZXX does not exist in the alternative unit of measure for any of the materials managed
I also checked CUNI table and ZXX is not there neither in R/3 or APO,
    Thanks for your help
    E

Looks like the Alternate UOM --Zxx is not maintained in APO.
    2 ways to do this:
    (1) program- RSIMPCUST
Re transfer all your UOM settings from R3 to APO
    (2) Manual Maintenance in APO:
    SPRO>SAP NETWEAVER>GENERAL SETTIGNS>Check UNits of Measurement

  • Sale unit of measure is not copied into Delivery from MF60 staging

    Hello all,
we are using MF60 for EWM staging. Component has base unit of measure as M2. For production purposes, issue unit of measure was set to KG.
I managed to get KG in MF60 during staging, but Outbound delivery created contains however unit M2. This is unit of issue from sales org1 tab. I changed this to KG, but still M2 is coming.
Please let me know if you know what is the problem.
    Thanks in advnace!
    Regards, Andrey.

    Hi Andrew,
I think this issue is nothing to do with EWM. You can check with your SD consultant why sales UoM not getting copied into delivery. May be because of some delivery type or delivery item type settings.
I had same issue for over delivery tolerance, which I raised with SAP and they advised to use the customized BAdi to get it done.
    Thanks,

  • Unit of measure is not an ISO code

    Dear Expert,
Unit of measure M has ISO code MTR and Dimension length.  the UOM is in sync with ECC6 . However when trying to order from srm it bounces back with error message Unit of Measure M is not an ISO code.  Further checking in CUNI shows that the SI Unit is defined as the same as the UOM.  I have tried to convert this but it is not allowing me to.  Some uoms are unavailable in SRM such as KM and CM which may have something to do with it.
Can anyone advise what action to take.
    Many Thanks

    Hello,
In my system I have the same configuration. Are you creating a cart from catalog?
If so, you could try the following:
    1. If it's possible, change the UoM in the catalog to match the ISO Code. In this case MTR.
    2. If the first option is not possible, then code the BADI BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER to convert the provided UOM to match the
ISO Code of the SRM system.
Remember that the check on the ISO Code takes place before the BADI is called so you need to clear the error message regarding the ISO Code from table et_messages.

  • Is it possible to manage 3 units of measure (not just 2) using IS CWM

Our customer requirement is to handle the stock in 3 different units of measure.
We have read that with the EHP7 CWM (Catch Weight Management) this is possible but we are not sure if it's possible with  3 units of measure.
    If not any other alternative?
    Many Thanks
You can contact me at: [email protected]

CWM supports only one parallel unit of measurement as the valuation unit of measure. It however allows adding several unit of measure as in standard ERP system.
    Hope this helps.
