Universal Worklist item From showing reverse Name

Hi Experts,
We are using ESS/MSS in my organization. in UWL work items are coming from different persons. We have "Subject", "From", "Sent" , "Priority", "Due" are columns available.
My concern is that the "From" column those names where the work item is coming from shows the name as in reverse order. like "Last Name , First Name". But ! our users want it to be " First Name , Last Name" sequence.
Please advice where to change this. I checked it in SU01 TCode where it shows correct order, please suggest where to change it.

person who is creating the workitem (eg: leave request created by employee) should have a portal login id , "FROM" column in uwl is displayed in such a way that
system will what is the first name and last name in the portal UME for that user id , and system will displays the same .
you need to modify the first name and last name in the portal UME .

Universal Worklist items open in new window instead of existing frame

After our recent upgrade we noticed that workitems in Universal Worklist open in new window instead of existing frame. Do you know if there is a system or universal setting to make all the workitems open in existing frame? I know we can change the settings for parameters launchInNewWindow and openInNewWindow to "no" in XML files to fix this.   However, my concern is that I would need to do this for each and every task we use. (still doable but wondering if there is simpler solution)

We downloaded uwl.standard.xml from UWL admin. Made a copy and renamed file. Changed all "launchInNewWindow" from "yes" to "no". Uploaded new file in UWL admin. Re-registered systems, cleared cache. Not sure what exact line changed the behavior but the workitems no longer open in new window.
We are still experimenting with file in our sandbox environment.

Display universal work item from CRM work list

Hello all,
In ECC system, we have defined several workflows. We can see the work item from the universal work list via the portal.
Now, we have a new request, we would like to see these work items form CRM work list.
I have checked the custo and I have questions:
1. spro- Customer Relationship Management under UI Framework Technical Role Definition Define Navigation Bar Profile . Select the relevant navigation bar profile and add the specific UI objects WI_BOR.

I've found a solution.
I've been told that this problem is occuring
because the Work Item ID is not being passed correctly to the BOR basedtransaction.
The solution in my case is:
(1) Goto SPRO -> Customer Relationship Management -> IC Web Client ->
Basic Functions -> Transaction Launcher -> Configure Transaction
Launcher (wizard)
(2) Give the launch transaction id in the 'Entries' screen. The launch
transaction id is Z_ACTION_EXECUTE_WORKITEM in my case.
(3) Keep all the parameters same in the further screens until you reach
the 'Transaction Parameters' screen
(4) In this screen, the value currently being passed to Object Key is
//selectedAUI Workitem/WI_ID. Change this to
//selectedAUIWFWIAttachments/OBJECT_ID.
Goto last step and then say 'Complete'.

GL line item not show reverse indicator

I have problem about GL account that assign account management to be line item so when post entry and reverse entry by use this GL account ,when I see report on t.code FBL3N-GL line item ,they did not show indicator of reverse entry so it difficult to check so I would like this report to reverse indicator or there are some report that can show it . thank you very much.

Hi,
Please check the document type which is used for posting the document. For the document type, the check "Negative posting Allowed" might have been ticked. as a result new line item is not posted. The original line item itself is reversed. May be this is the reason why you are not getting the reversal document.

How do I prevent items from showing up under "Available Software" in the software center after they have been removed?

I have some scenarios where I want to keep older or multiple versions of an application around in the Application Catalog website. The problem is when I deploy a script to remove one of these applications after removal it starts to appear under "Available
Software" in the Software Center. Our users have noticed this and discovered that they can go there, select the application and reinstall it. I need to find a way to prevent this. Is there some sort of setting I can enable to prevent certain applications
from showing up under "Available Software" but still have them listed in the Application Catalog Website?

I show in the SDK about properties passed to the Software Center that deal with Applications but nothing on how to interact with it directly in dealing with the Check box for "Show Optional Software".
You can always see if there is a captured regentry when you click it. I don't know if this setting is wiped out when you close the SC. If so you could create something to create the key to force the check box. Sorry, maybe someone will
have a better answer for you.

Thanks for responding again Matthew. Yeah I googled around and got nowhere. I did find a thread here that touched on it where Torsten Meringer responded and seemed to indicate that it could not be done. I find that hard to believe (where there's a will there’s
a way right?). I did tag the Software Center with a registry watcher on my stet VM and tried unchecking that box. Got nothing so wherever the setting resides it does not appear to be in the registry. Very frustrating to have the solution staring me right in
the face and being unable to do anything about it. Hopefully someone who has a working method will see this thread and respond. Until then I guess I’ll keep digging.
Side note – I’ve worked in Oil and Gas now for 10 years. Awesome to have an admin from Schlumberger respond to my post. We energy people have to stick together right? ;)

Check the Layout of FBL3N Report
1. Change Layout Ctrl+F8)
2. Add the Reversal Indicator field
3. Save the Lay out settings
Check the Reversal Indicator. If any Key is there It means Reversal document.

Question: How do you remove Menu Items from showing up in LC

Hello everyone:
If someone can please point me in the right direction in how to convert app.hideMenuItem("Toolbars"); to the XFA SOM?
I am creating the form using Adobe Distiller from an access report. I change the Interface Options in Acrobat to hide file and toolbar menus, but when I convert it to LC, the options are removed.
I also scripted app.hideMenuItem("Toolbars"); in the Page.Open event using Acrobat and when I convert to LC the code does nothing at the subPage1.Initialize event. Not even when I reopen the converted form in Acrobat does the script run...
What is the best method of hidding menu items using LC Designer?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here is what liitle I know on this topic.
The attached doc was created when Designer 7 was released and it has a table of the Acrobat JavaScript APIs and there equivalents, if any, in Designer. According to that doc, app.hideMenuItem() is supported in Designer and there is no Designer JavaScript equivalent.
My brief look at this matter leads me to believe security constraints since Reader 6.0 have changed the rules.
I recommend you take a look at trusted functions and context in the Acrobat 9 SDK.

Universal Worklist Item - Add/Get Attachment

i'm on NW 7.31 SPS06. I want to receive/push Attachments to/from an uwl item.
i have a process with several human tasks.
Receive Items:
I start my Process and the uwl item is created. I click on the uwl item and in the popup i add an attachment and close it (it is saved).
Now i will get the item with the uwl api:

fills the attachment attributes. Unfortunately this is not the case.

Doesn't work. I think the main problem here is, the null attachmentConnectorId. No AttachmentProviderConnector is registered. Do i have to register/create one? Could this also the problem above, in "Receive Items"?

Hi Michael,
I am facing a similar issue with adding attachments with the UWL API to an ad hoc workflow item.
I can successfully create and retrieve the the UWL item. However when adding an attachment, the attachment (including the attachment header) is always null when I try to retrieve it.
I think the reason the attachment is null is due to a missing attachment provider connector that has not been registered, but I am not sure how to do this.

What are "Items from Album Name" Albums?

First time user of Aperture (latest version)
Upon opening i went to >File>Import>Folders as Projects and selected my Pictures Folder in my Library, which was alredy set up with a folder heirarchy etc.
Selected to store files in current location.
Aperture lumbered away for hours processing everything. Once complete, I have a number (29 to be exact) of Projects titled "Items from, then the name of an existing Project"
The Projects pictured above already exist, with the same name, but without "Items From" Why were these created by Aperture, as they were not in my Pictures to begin with?
Also, is it normal for Aperture to use 1.8 GB of RAM just to be open?

Yes. IME, you want to devote 4 GB to Aperture and the OS. With less than 4 GB RAM, Aperture runs OK as long as you don't try to run other programs.

Any chance that your Aperture Library is in your Pictures folder in Finder? I don't know that you would get the result you did -- but it makes sense to me.

Two action in Universal Worklist

Whenever I test any of the process by initiating it and then I check that action in the universal worklist then it show two action means if I have generated Action1 from the process1. then in the Universal Worklist I found the list as

So, do you how to remove this duplicacy of the action in the Universal Worklist..

please check the GP conector using the following path, system administraiton->system configuration->universal worklist and workflow->universal work list administration
inside that there will be universal worklist system.
please check the connector to the GP, there should be only one active connector to the GP.
If there is 2 active connector to the GP then it will give the error as you got.

Universal Worklist refresh delay - Reduce default time

Hi
We would like to reduce the Universal Worklist refresh from the current default of 5 minutes to 1 or 2 minutes.
The items should appear immediately being avaialble in the SAP R/3 System.
Any ideas on how to achieve this in the Portal (EP 7 SP17)?

Customising Universal Worklist

Hello All,
I am attempting to customize the Universal Worklist for MSS. There are various buttons such as 'Launch Web Dynpro' , 'Resubmit', 'Forward' and 'Assign to me' that appears for the manager when authorizing a leave request.
Any Ideas on how I remove these buttons?

If you want to customise the UWL then, first you have to make a copy of the UWL iviews from Content Administration >Portal Content > Content Provided by SAP >End User Content >
Standard Portal Users >iViews > Universal Worklist.
From there you have select the iviews, copy it to your own folder , say 'Custom'. Apply the changes over there. Now Create an workset, set the entry points of the ivews and workset to true. Now create a role. Assign the workset to the role. Add the role to the user. Hence you can personalise your universal worklist.The below given link will explain all in detail:

Stop bluetooth menubar item from appearing?

When the battery on my mighty mouse starts to get "low" the stupid blue tooth menubar item always appears and flashes.
Problem is, once the battery is "low" it usually goes another 5 to 7 days before it dies.
Is there a way to stop the blue tooth menubar item from showing up... ever.. at all?

Of course I did that, perhaps my post wasn't clear.
I always have the "show bluetooth in the menubar" option turned off. But when the batteries in my mouse or keyboard get low the menubar item turns itself on, apparently in some attempt to badger me into changing my batteries before they actually need to be changed, maybe apple is in collusion with battery manufacturers or something.
What I want to know is how to turn off the bluetooth menubar item PERMANENTLY so that the first hint I get that my batteries are dead is... they die. I really don't need to know before that moment, plus the warning comes up DAYS before the batteries actually die.

Worklist items distribution to collection specialist

Doubt: worklist item distribution method to collection specialists
Scenario: Specialists are not assigned to the business partner master record,worklist items are distributed by equal distribution method.worklist will get generated on a daily basis.
Today i run the UDM_GENWL program and then distribute the worklist items equally, after that i assign some of the worklist items from one specialist to other specialist(i.e manually), all the specialists has processed their items for the day.
The nextday i once again run the UDM_GENWL program and distribute the worklist items equally.
Question
Now will the program assign worklist items to the same specialist who processed the same yesterday or it will allocate it to some other specialists.
(It may go to the same specialist or different one because the collection group may have 3 or 4 specialists so, the probability of allocation to the same specialist is high)
Whether it will over write all the worklist items with the specialists including manually allocated worklist items with the equal distribution formula.
How the distribution algorithm works..?

When the std worklist generation prog runs, first it evaluates the BPs based on coll strategies and then generates the WL entries.. If the BP contains coll spec entry then the WL item gets assigned to that.
For the rest of the unassigned entries, If you employ the std dist procedure of even distribution, the unassigned entries in WL, will be distributed to coll spec with smallest # of WL entries. If the # of entries to each coll spec are same then the next item will be assigned to coll spec with the lowest avg valuation.
If you wish to have the same BP assigned to the same coll spec in every WL generation run then assign it in the master data itself.

PO Approval Items Workitems are not removed from the Universal Worklist UWL

Hi,
Certain of our purchase orders require approval, they are sent to the relevant approver via workflow to their SAP inbox (SBWP) and universal worklist.
When the user executes the workitem (Approve or Reject) The workitem should be removed from the universal worklist and SBWP when refreshed.
The problem we experiencing is that the Workitems are not removed from the UWL after they have been executed. The SBWP is behaving correctly and the items are removed.
It is not all the workitems that have this problem, only certain ones - but there is no pattern.

The user B approved the PR accessing the transaction SBWP or via PR transaction directly?
If via PR transaction directly, then your workflow needs a Wait Event step.
