Unregister SCSM DW Error

Hello,
I'm having a problem unregister the DW SCSM 2012 R2. The services are all initiates.
This is the error screen:
I have 3 servers
- 1 with SCSM Management Server
- 1 + SQL Reporting
- 1 AD + DW.
Thanks

Hi Lucas,
Try un-registering the data warehouse using PowerShell. Here is the syntax:
UnRegister-SCDWSource –ComputerName YOURSMSERVERNAME –DataSourceTypeName "ServiceManager" –DataSourceName "Contoso_2"
Here is a link for the syntax:

  • Upgrading scsm 2012 error

I am planning to upgrade my scsm 2010 to 2012 both Management and DW server.
So i have set up the secondary lab environment and do this.
The DW server has been upgraded successfully.
When i try to upgrade SCSM Management server, at the finalizing stage, i get this error as _MPProcessorDeferred.
    What could be the reason?
    regards Sundaresan.C

Now if i rerun the setup, i get a different error...
_RegisterExtensionsDeferred at the finazling stage.. Find below the log..

  • Install error SCSM 2012 SP1 _PopulateUserRoles

I currently have SCSM 2012 in production and working however when adding a secondary Management Server the installation fails at the Install Services, returning a
An error occurred while executing a custom action:_PopulateUserRoles. I am using the same system account that works on the primary Management server, verified that its a local admin on the new server, and the firewalls are opened on each
server. The account I am installing the software from is a domain admin and a local admin on the server. I have even elevated the privileges when launching the executable to no avail.
any help would greatly be appreciated!

  • An error occurred while executing a custom action:_PopulateUserRoles

I am trying to install Service Manager 2012 RTM onto a brand new server 2008r2. The purpose is to replace the other Data Management server that is giving me problems upgrading to service pack1. I go through the setup and connect to the SQL server and
the database that has my existing DM. I am using the same credentials and everything is the same. It goes all the way to the end and I get an error :
An error occurred while executing a custom action:_PopulateUserRoles
This upgrade attempt has failed before permanent modifications were made. Upgrade has successfully rolled back to the original state of the system. Once the correction are made, you can retry upgrade for this roll

After this error, I reran setup and used the domain admin account instead of the Service Manager Admins group I created in AD. The  error did not happen again, but I did get the "Setup cannot complete - RollbackCleanup"
error. This was fixed by following this link: "http://www.cireson.com/scsm/scsm-an-error-occurred/" and this MS article: "http://support.microsoft.com/kb/922918/en-us".
These are the steps (I had to create the DWORD 32 bit):
Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click
    OK.
Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control
In the right pane, locate the ServicesPipeTimeout entry.
Note  If the ServicesPipeTimeout entry does not exist, you must create it. To do this, follow these steps:
On the Edit menu, point to
New, and then click DWORD Value.
Type ServicesPipeTimeout, and then press ENTER.
Right-click ServicesPipeTimeout, and then click Modify.
Click Decimal, type 60000, and then click
    OK.
This value represents the time in milliseconds before a service times out.
    Restart the computer.
    Hope this helps!

    Robert

I read that some of those "Full adapter"-errors should be fixed with SCSM R2 UR2. But it didn't help here.

    Hi,
Did you create any custom views? what is the common views between the end users facing this problem.

  • Boot time "eth0: Hardware Error" message

I reinstalled Arch on my ThinkPad last month after some playing around with FreeBSD. It was running fine for a while, but around the time of the big glibc update it started giving me some error messages about eth0 at startup. I ignored it for a week or so because I normally connect over wireless, but now I've had some time to puzzle over it and I can't figure it out.

When I try to connect with it (using wicd), envision 24 more lines of alternating "irq 46 for MSI/MSI-X" and "eth0: Hardware Error". But I can connect, and I'm using it right now to post this as well as install the latest update. It doesn't seem to cause errors during normal usage.
I Googled a bit and searched the forums but didn't come up with anything that sounded like this issue. "Hardware Error" isn't a very descriptive message.
Edit - forgot to mention, both LEDs on the physical Ethernet port come on and stay on as long as I'm using wireless, but when I connect it to a cable they behave normally.

I still get the irq stuff in my logs, but I've also noticed that it's really difficult to get an IP address from a DHCP server lately. I'm using wicd, by the way. Everything is fine with wireless, it's just connecting via ethernet is finicky.
It seems that after it puts the interface up, it launches dhcpcd but with the odd ethernet hardware it takes 20 or seconds before the ethernet link is established. Since dhcpd has a default timeout of 30 seconds, this eats up dhcpd's time and then it times out early.
    Here's an example from /var/log/everything.log:
    Aug 23 17:19:27 localhost dhcpcd[11183]: version 5.6.0 starting
    Aug 23 17:19:27 localhost dhcpcd[11183]: eth0: waiting for carrier

    Aug 23 17:19:56 localhost dhcpcd[11183]: eth0: sending IPv6 Router Solicitation
    Aug 23 17:19:57 localhost dhcpcd[11183]: timed out
As soon as the ethernet link is established ("carrier acquired"), it gets the IP address from the server. Then it checks if the address is in use on the network and appears to reach the 30-second timeout during that process.
I resolved the problem by editing /etc/dhcpcd.conf to increase the timeout by adding this line:
    timeout 60
And here is my log after increasing the timeout:
    Aug 23 17:24:16 localhost dhcpcd[11787]: version 5.6.0 starting

Aug 23 17:24:46 localhost dhcpcd[11787]: forked to background, child pid 11819
It takes 22 seconds to acquire the ethernet carrier after dhcpcd starts up. Then it needs 8 more seconds before it finishes and forks to background. Having a 30-second timeout is too close, but the 60-second timeout works great.

  • CME 8 and 3945 router IOS 15.1.1 T

i did find this bug but its on a 3825 router with same IOS and CME version

    CSCth28007
Symptoms: Cisco IP phone users may experience dropped calls, resetting phones, and one-way audio.
Conditions: These symptoms are observed on a Cisco 3825 router that is running Cisco IOS Release 15.1(1)T and CME 8.0 when there are 4 or more active calls. The symptoms occur with the following topology:
Router/ PBX ---pri---- CISCO3825 ----sccp---- ip phone.
It is a normal external call: PSTN <-----> IP phone calls.
Workaround: Install Cisco IOS Release 12.4(15)XZ2 or another release earlier than Release 15.n.

I would recommend opening a TAC case and referecing the defect you think you're experiencing.  You should be able to work with the assigned engineer to resolve the issue.

XHTML 1.1 documents should be delivered as
    application/xhtml+xml. This
is not recommended, since IE doesn't support this MIME type.
    So switch
back to XHTML 1.0 Strict, which can also be delivered as

  • SCSM Unregister DW Source - Exception has been thrown by target of invocation

I recently upgraded my client from SCSM 2010 SP1 CU3 to SCSM 2012 SP1.   In the process of upgrade I had to transfer the workflow service to another management server and decommission the old management server.
Problem now is that the MPSync job in the DW is still looking for the old management server.  Here are the event details:
Error 33546:  MP Sync failed to connect to Data Access Service on the machine <old primary server>. Ensure that the service is started and that there are no connectivity issues to <old primary server> if it is a remote server.
I attempted to unregister the data warehouse from the management server from the interface and from the unregister-scdwsource command but receive the following error:  Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.
I imagine I need to go into the DWStagingAndConfig database and switch a value to point to the new management server.
Any ideas on where to change this value?

I had the same error when I moved SCSMDW and SCSM to other server. New SCSM serve infact had different DNS name. I updated the value in table
MT_Microsoft$SystemCenter$DataWarehouse$CMDBSource, column SdkServer with a name of new SCSM server and this allowed me to unregister the datasource.

  • Error while creating SCSM 2012 sp1 self-portal on SP2013

there is no honda without racing

    Hi Pavel,
According to your description, my understanding is that you got an error when you set up Service Manager 2012 SP1 running on SharePoint 2013.
Please check whether you have configured SCSM and SharePoint 2013 correctly. You can check as the following link:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/thomase/archive/2013/08/19/how-to-get-service-manager-2012-self-service-portal-running-on-sharepoint-2013.aspx
Please make sure you used the same account to instal SharePoint and Service manager.
If this issue still exists, please do as the followings:
Open Central Administration\Monitoring\Review job defintions, select the servers in the farm one-by-one , then click Application Server Administration Service Timer Job, click Disable.
Restart "Sharepoint 2010 Timer " in services.msc on all servers in the farm.
Try to install the SCSM portal.
Click Central Administration\Monitoring\Review job defintions\Application Server Administration Service Timer Job, click Enable.
Restart "Sharepoint 2010 Timer " in services.msc on all servers in the farm

  • SCSM Management Server install error

    Hi All
I have a curious error with regards to an SCSM 2012 R2 Management Server install to a Windows Server 2012 with local SQL Server 2012 Standard); the SCSM 2012 R2 Data warehouse Server installed fine on a separate server.  I've checked that the install
account has full SQL, Local and Domain Admins (for install), I've also fired the install from an elevated command prompt but with same error, I've also checked that PowerShell is set to Unrestricted.  There is also mention of a Timeout in the below error,
which has lead me to think it could possibly be SQL SPN issue, however please see below and let me know if anyone has seen this before \ any suggestions welcome!
The error I'm seeing in the MSI log is as follows:

    Thanks Thomas
Yep had checked permissions, see below.  Any others that I may have over looked that you can think of?
    1. Login \ install account as local Admin on the Server
    2. Login \ install account has full SQL SysAdmin rights, was also used for installing the SQL Instance locally
    3. Checked account in AD so that it is ok for Kerberos Delegation
One thing is that I have specified this account for all account options during install (since its a test environment), in production would usually create distinct accounts, is this likely to be an issue though?
Will attempt install again but use Local System etc instead of specifying my domain account just to check \ see if error changes.
    Kind Regards

  • Error when installing SCSM 2012 Web Portal

I've got a server that has Service Manager 2012 Management Server installed on it. I am trying to add on the web console (this is just a test/lab/demo environment). The installer goes through the prompts, then on the final step (progress bat at top), it
gets the following 3 parts completed, then errors out on the 4th:
    -> Initialize
    -> Install files
    -> Configure Registry Settings
Then, on the 4th step, Configure Web Portal Site, i get the following error:
"  An error occurred while executing a custom action:_GrantLocalPermissionsToWCSAccount.11EE91AB_EABF_48A6_9973_4DCD73190AC6
This upgrade attempt has failed before permanent modifications were made. Upgrade has successfully rolled back to the original state of the system. Once the correction are made, you can retry upgrade for this role.  "
    Can anyone help me?

    Hi
The install does create a local group - SCSM Web Content Server Accounts - on the web server and does add the "service account" to this group. It might well be that the roll back is removing this group.
When I have installed it in my test lab, I have logged in with an account that is a Service Manager administrator and a local windows administrator on the box. I have used the Service Manager service account for the ssp portal account as the portal
account is added to Service Manager administrators as part of the install.
Domain Admins won't necessarily be Service Manager admins - so you might want to make sure your account is in the Service Manager administrator group.
    Cheers
    Graham

  • SCSM 2012 UR3 - "The Full adapter threw an exception" error when viewing "Deleted Items" view

Has anyone expereinced the "The Full adapter threw an exception" eror in the SCSM 2012 console?
We get the error in both our dev and production environments when trying to view the "Deleted Items" view in the console (even after using powershell to remove all deleted iterms).  As just noted, interestingly enough we can view, delete, and restore
deleted items using the corresponding Powershell commands.  It should be noted that neither of our two SCSM 2012 environments has a registered data warehouse server.  Below is a screen shot of the error as well as the associated error text and event
    log errors.
Any help would be greatly apprecaited!

    JJ
