Unzipping Applications
I downloaded xplayer, and I see the file is zipped. How do I unzip it so I can use the program. I have downloaded a couple of other things as well and it's the same issue.
You would need to unzip the program using a ZIP utility like WinZIP. There will usually be a .alx and .cod file in the ZIP file. Once you have extracted those you can use the Desktop Manager program, specifically the Application Loader module, to install the program to the BlackBerry.

Unzip file using PayloadZipBean in Sender FILE adapter
I am trying to unzip a flat file in Sender FILE adapter using PayloadZipBean.
I am getting mapping error. The problem is File adapter is reading data without unzipping. I am getting weird characters/data, so mapping error.
I searched all the blogs/ forum threads and help.sap.com, everywhere the focus is on zipping, not unzipping.
the file I have is with .gz extension, but I tried with .zip extension also.
Please help in resolving this issue.
Edited by: Gopal Janagama on May 2, 2008 11:42 PMGopal,
GZIP and ZIP format are slightly different, as stated here :
"GZIP compresses only one file and does not have a header. ZIP contains header information about what files are contained in the file."
So I'm not sure the PayloadZipBean supports GZIP format ... Try to ungzip and then zip its content and see if the bean works for it

win32_11gR2_database_2of2.zip (631,934,821 bytes)
Directions
1. All files are in the .zip format. There is an unzip utility here if you need one.
2. Download and unzip both files to the same directory.
3. Installation guides and general Oracle Database 11g documentation are here.
4. Review the certification matrix for this product here.
refer the linK:-http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/enterprise-edition/downloads/112010-win32soft-098987.html
as mentioned earlier, check size of the download zip file with above mentioned bytes. else try to download again.
while downloading, do not pause the download in the middle and continue it will corrupt the oracle software.
if you use any download manager dont pause/stop.

ASA 5505 Failed to unzip the Anyconenct Package
There is ASA 5505:
- 8.4(2) IOS
- FLASH: 128 Mb
- DRAM: 256 Mb
Requirements for 8.4(2) are acomplished:
For the ASA 5505, only the Unlimited Hosts license and the Security Plus license with failover enabled require 512 MB; other licenses can use 256 MB.
Are installed latest AnyConnect packeges for linux, some smatphones (each 4-5 MB). But for Windoes it's 21 MB and we got error "Failed to unzip the Anyconenct Package". In prior IOS version there was command cache-fs limit, by default it was 20 Mb. As i understand ASA now dinamically determines amount of cache memory and it's not enough.
Because of the increased size of the AnyConnect package from 4MB in AnyConnect 2.5 to 21 MB in AnyConnect 3.0, you may need to upgrade the ASA flash and memory card first.
If your ASA has only the default internal flash memory size or the default DRAM size (for cache memory) you could have problems storing and loading multiple AnyConnect client packages on the ASA. Even if you have enough space on the flash to hold the package files, the ASA could run out of cache memory when it unzips and loads the client images.
So there is a question, after DRAM upgrade to 512 MB will be there enough cache memory for Anyconnect packeges with total size 35-40 Mb?I have having the same issue on an ASA-5510 with 256MB DRAM 256MB Flash. I do not have this issue on an ASA-5550 with 4GB DRAM 256MB Flash, so I'm guessing the issue is with the memory size.
Also, from: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/vpn_client/anyconnect/anyconnect30/release/notes/anyconnect30rn.html
Flash and DRAM Requirements for Upgrade
Check for the space available before proceeding with the AnyConnect 3.0 upgrade. You can use one of the following methods to do so:
•CLI—Enter the show memory command.
asa3# show memory
Free memory: 304701712 bytes (57%)
Used memory: 232169200 bytes (43%)
Total memory: 536870912 bytes (100%)
•ASDM—Choose Tools > File Management. The File Management window displays flash space.
Because of the increased size of the AnyConnect package from 4MB in AnyConnect 2.5 to 21 MB in AnyConnect 3.0, you may need to upgrade the ASA flash and memory card first.
Caution The minimum flash memory required is 128MB for an ASA 5505; however, we strongly recommend 256 or preferably 512 MB. To support multiple endpoint operating systems and enable logging and debugging on the ASA, you will most likely need 512 MB of flash memory.
For internal memory requirements for each ASA model, see Memory Requirements for the Cisco ASA Adaptive Security Appliances Software Version 8.3 and Later. For additional information about the ASA memory requirements and upgrading ASA memory, see the latest release notes for the Cisco ASA 5500 series. -
Issue with Unzip in V2 with templates
HI All,
I have been using the unzip functionality successfully in my V2 environment but I have an issue. Is it possible to unzip the files which then create the page hierarchy but force then to use a specific page group template.
At present when I unzip my file, the pages are created but they use a default page layout and I want them to use my page template.
Any ideas?

Unzip/Unstuff Folder Action
I wanted to set up a folder in which a file would automatically unzip/unstuff once it is done downloading from an FTP site, and V.K. in the Automator board showed me this applescript:
<pre style="
font-family: Monaco, 'Courier New', Courier, monospace;
font-size: 10px;
margin: 0px;
padding: 5px;
border: 1px solid #000000;
width: 720px;
color: #000000;
background-color: #ADD8E6;
overflow: auto;" title="this text can be pasted into the Script Editor">
property DELAYTIMESECONDS : 5 -- How long to wait between checking file size.
on adding folder items to thisFolder after receiving theItems
repeat with f in theItems
set oldSize to 0
set newSize to -1
-- When newSize equals oldSize, it means the copy is complete because the size hasn't changed.
repeat while newSize ≠ oldSize
-- Get the file size.
set oldSize to size of (info for f)
delay DELAYTIMESECONDS
-- Sample the size again after delay for comparison.
set newSize to size of (info for f)
end repeat
-- Do your processing here on file f.
tell application "Finder" to open f
-- thats where my processing should start for each file
end repeat
-- Or start processing here to wait for all files to be complete.
end adding folder items to</pre>
I attached it to a folder, and it works, but only on the first file. If I let multiple files download concurrently, the script never kicks in for the second, third, etc. file. Can the applescript be modified so that it hits every file that is, eventually, saved to the folder?The problem is that the folder action gets triggered the minute something gets added to the folder. This works when everything is added at once, but if there is much of a time delay between adding items there can be a problem, since repeatedly firing off the same folder action script on the same folder with different items doesn't seem to work very well.
Another thing to try would be to just look at the folder itself to stop changing size. After the folder has stopped changing size (presumably because the files have finished downloading), all of the files would then be processed. The items would need to be moved somewhere during the processing, so that the next time the folder action is triggered, it would just be processing the new items (if the processing just gets all of the files, a sub folder could be used).
The following folder action is similar to what you were using, it just looks at the folder size.
<pre style="
font-family: Monaco, 'Courier New', Courier, monospace;
font-size: 10px;
font-weight: normal;
margin: 0px;

Powershell unzip with shell.application not working when launched from windows service
I have a deployment agent on a machine implemented as a windows service. Service is 32-bit and runs on windows server 2008R2 x64 SP1 with powershell V2. Powershell script requires elevation and to run under x64 because of dependency to powershell module
'IIS Administration'. To achieve this, the service starts a cmd file which in turn launches powershell x64 console:
C:\WINDOWS\sysnative\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\powershell.exe "Start-Process C:\WINDOWS\system32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\powershell -ArgumentList '-ExecutionPolicy Bypass -NoLogo -NonInteractive -NoProfile -File C:\Temp\EndJobCmd\Install.ps1' -Verb RunAs"
This seems to work well. The problem I have is that the script has a sequence where it unpacks a zip file to a destination folder using shell.application, this works fine when triggered manually on the server or through the task scheduler, but when triggered
from the service it does not extract any files at all (cannot see any errors thrown by the script but it seems to continue to execute as it logs a successful message to the event log after finishing).
Unzip sequence looks like:
$shell = New-Object -com shell.application
$pkg = $shell.namespace($sourceFile)
$installDir = $shell.namespace($targetDir)
$installDir.Copyhere($pkg.items(), 20)
Any advice greatly appreciated. I have searched some and seen a few people with similar issue but have yet to find a solution.If it's still actual, I managed to fix this with having CopyHere params equal 1564.
So in my case extract zip function looks like:
function Expand-ZIPFile{
param(
$file, $destination
$shell = new-object -com shell.application
$zip = $shell.NameSpace($file)
foreach($item in $zip.items())
$shell.Namespace($destination).copyhere($item,1564)
"$($item.path) extracted"
1564 description can be found here - http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/bb787866(v=vs.85).aspx:
(4) Do not display a progress dialog box.
(8) Give the file being operated on a new name in a move, copy, or rename operation if a file with the target name already exists.
(16) Respond with "Yes to All" for any dialog box that is displayed.
(512) Do not confirm the creation of a new directory if the operation requires one to be created.

Using Java Embedding Unzip Code and a Trigger File in a BPEL Process
Hello,
Thanks in advance to anyone that contributes with any insight. It is much appreciated. Having said that I will get to the crux of my problem.
I am currently using Oracle 11g. I have created a SOA composite application that incorporates BPEL and Java. I have the code needed to unzip and extract compressed folders. However, when this was first built out using BPEL it automatically created a web service in the "exposed service" lane and not a file adapter which I believe is needed in order to trigger the process via a start.txt file for example. Based on what I know ... this web service automatically connecting to the BPEL process was simply due to the order of operations, etc. So by creating a 'read' file adapter first and then creating the BPEL process and selecting the template "Define Service Later", it does not automatcially connect the web service to the BPEL process and it will allow me to connect a file adapter to this BPEL process instead ... great. When opening up the BPEL file I then connect a recieve component to this file adapter and configure appropriately.
Essentially, my objective in setting up a trigger to start this unzip process is due to the BPEL process before that outputs or writes the .zip folder to the same directory that I want to poll and/or trigger via a start.txt file. I can get this process to work with a webservice connecting to the BPEL process and by using a Java Embedded in BPEL file, which in turns calls the package/ class that has the java code needed to unzip.
For some reason whenever I try to use a file adapter instead of the native web service that gets created (as mentioned above) it doesn't work. It seems to build or compile just fine however, I am getting errors when I try to deploy.
Note: The Java code contains all the paths where the zip file is to be taken from and extracted to. So because this is in the code I don't need the file adapter to handle this. I just want to use the file adapter so that I can trigger the process via start.txt or something of that nature.
Thanks to anyone that has any suggestions.
Kind Regards,
Kevin

I have a question about installing List View. In the plug-in directions at www.photographers-toolbox.com it says "Unzip the download. You should now have a plugin called 'xxx.lrplugin.' If your unzip program didn't keep this parent directory, then you should create it and copy your unzipped files into it".
I downloaded the plug-in in the trial version. I have not paid for it yet. My files were unzipped and now read...listview.lrplugin
Do I make another folder with the name "xxx.lrplugin" ? Or does the xxx refer to the name listview? It probably does, but I'm never sure about computer.
Also, I'm in the process of moving to a new Mac. I have all my programs installed on it including Lightroom 5. I have not had the time to import any photos into Lightroom yet. I have not established my preferences yet. Is it okay to install the plug-in List View before I import any photos into Lightroom? Or should I wait until I get something done in Lightroom?
Thank You, for the help,
SandyI would suggest posting these questions again on the main lightroom forum.

John Beardsworth is frequently there and you will surely get best advice from the maker of the plug-in. -
Hi Everyone
On a new iMac running 10.6.5 I am unable to unzip archives. When I double-click an archive on my desktop, the archive utility displays the following message :-
"Error identifying a writable temporary folder. Try moving the archive to another volume"
If I move it to a network volume or an external drive, it works fine. I have repaired permissions and but still no joy.
Anyone any ideas how to fix this annoying problem?
Thanks.Hugh Burt wrote:

JILI have given a proper entry in hosts file. The same problem persists. How did you restart the installation? Did you clean your previous installation?
Might be because of corrupt zip files ?Could be. How did you create the stage area? -
I regularly download zipped files from Survey Monkey. Since the latest security update, the zipped files download to my computer, but when I try and unzip them I get a message telling me the file is in use by another application. If I reboot, I can unzip the file, or if I'm in Safe Mode when I download the file it unzips fine.
I have tried three different unzip apps and all have the same trouble. Everything was working well after the September 5 update.
I'm running Windows XP with McAfee antivirus, Spybot, Ad-Aware and Malbytes Anti-malware. All are up to date.The URL below is to Adobe's Acrobat update page.
There you'll find each of the incremental updates to Acrobat 10.
They must be installed one at a time in sequence.
http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows
Now, if after attempted updates fail then you'll need to speak with your IT Department.
You need your install of Acrobat 10 updated to dot version 10.1.7.
Be well...

Why won't my unzipped and rezipped IDML file open in InDesign?
I'm a developer working on an IDML based project.
My application opens an IDML file, inflates the contents and (for the moment, without making any changes), deflates them again.
The result is a file which:
a) Opens fine in any zip application
b) My code can then reopen without problems.
InDesign, however, throws the following error:
"Cannot open the file "filename.idml". Adobe InDesign may not support the file format, a plug-in that supports the file format may be miussing, or the file may be open in another application."
I have verified that the file is not open in another app, and that no plug ins are involved.
InDesign will open the original IDML file that it exported, so there's no general error.
I assume the issue is with the zip container not being UCF compliant, and I'm trying to diagnose what the problem might be.
My question(s):
Has anyone been through this and do they have any suggestions or guidance?
Is there any way I can get InDesign to tell me in more detail why it cannot open the file?
What are the most likely issues with the container?
I have inspected both the original file and the output file using Winzip, and I append the results of a detailed diagnostic on each below. The only difference I can see is that some files in the original are not compressed (they are simply stored in the zip container), but the UCF specification seems to suggest that a container can contain either compressed or normal files, so I don't see why this should be a problem. Would this cause InDesign to have a problem?
Many thanks in advance for any assistance. Zip file diagnostics follow.
