UOM issue of SR that push from third party integrated software into SAP

Dear SAP Expert/Guru,
Would like to seek for your advise what is to be done to check the issue of different UOM created in SR when push from thrid party intrgration software into SAP.
The material only being maintained 1 UOM which is PKT however, when the data being push from the integration software it created the material with the UOM CTN and this cause the whole SR cannot be used.
Is there any way to check between the data integration? The client is using BAPI to push the data.
Currently the client just implement PI module and the third party software is integrated with PI module.
Kindly advise is there any other way to check.

Dear Shailesh & Jurgen,
Due to the T-code CUNI is maintained as Fire Fighter in the production server, so I only can use the QA server to analyst the UOM maintained in the server.
Below is the result of the analysis:-
ISO Code ISO code text
CT CTN
PK Pack (assuming this is used as packet)
As in the Change Units of Measurement of Dimension: Overview. THe result as shown:-
Unit Commercial Technical Meas.unit text
CTN KAR CTN Carton(SC)
PKT PKT Pkt Packet(s)
When double click the "Units of Measurement, select any unit and click on the lens, here you will see a small box called ALE/EDI, you will get to see the ISO Code in the box and a small checkbox called primary code"
There is no checking being clicked at the primary code and nothing is being keyed in the ISO code
Kindly advise what is to be done? is it the ISO issue or is there any setting being done wrongly.

Getting BW and third party data source into SAP Cloud for customer

Hi Experts.
I have an architecture question and would like to know any guidance or pointers to help. We have a requirement to integrate 3rd party data sources to be brought into SAP cloud for sales so that reporting can be driven out of SAP cloud for sales. What is the best approach to do it.
Client doesn't want users to go to another site to look for reporting data.
Worst case scenario, is there a way to show BW or Third party reports in a separate tab where we can fetch the report data for user or may be a redirect link displays home page of reports under new tab without user leaving the cloud for sales application.

I have brought in data from BW system to C4C using Webservice and stored it in C4C backend.
I am building a custom datasource from these variables, but I want to restrict access of this data based on user roles.
However, while creating the datasource "Enable Access Control" checkbox is not enabled. The help text says "To enable access control your BO must contain an association marked as relevant for access control".
Could you help me in understanding how can we enable this feature for our custom datasource?

Updating Serial numbers coming from third party at PGI

Hi all,
I have an requirement such that I need to update the serial numbers for a line item that are coming from third party system and these serial # needs to updated in the PGI processing of delivery.
I have searched in the SDN , but could not come these type of requirement.
Please any one call help me on this??

Hi Ravindranath,
To cater this requirement:
1. Create a Z table for storing serial numbers with the link to delivery (means there will be some link with the serial numbers coming from third party and delivery in SAP)
2. Go to change mode of include MV50AFZ1 for add code in subroutine USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_LIPS.
3. In this subroutine fetch the serial number according to line item and delivery number; that you will get from LIPS.
Pass the serail number to ANZSN field of LIPS.
Hope it will solve your problem.

Can not receive emails from third party email accounts

Recently I started working for a small business which has small business server 2011 and exchange 2010 installed. Before I started there were eight user accounts and they all have unlimited email access. I created a few users through sbs AD and also from
exchange console a week ago. Unfortunately none of them can not receive emails from third party accounts. they all can receive internal emails and also can send mails to any email accounts internally and externally.
This is a night mare for me as new users are having trouble with communicating via mails. I have tried all the methods and now thought of posting this issue on tech net. Please help me on this!!

Checklist for testing inbound email problems, I am assuming outbound emails works ok.
1. Check Port 25 forwarding on all modems routers/firewalls
2. MX Record is created and pointing to the correct Public IP Address, use MXToolbox.com to verify MX Record and test SMTP flow. Also Verify your public IP has not changed, use whatsmyip.org to check you public IP
3. If using POP Connector Service, make sure POP accounts are created properly
4. If using a 3rd party spam host, make sure they forward email to correct public IP address, use step 2 to verify your public IP.

Item master synchronisation from third party system to SAP

Hello ,
I would like to understand how we can desgin flow of data in case of changes in Catalog from third party system to SAP.
We have implemented Catalog functionality. Catalog maintained in third party system is accessed from SAP for procurement through catalog button.
Now we want to update SAP contracts when ever there is change in prices in third party system. In this we are also validating currency,UOM, delivery time etc.
How does we can make this synchronisation? What are the possible solution for this?

you have to mainatin Item text and not for material PO text...
Do these settings:
SPRO->MM->Purchasing->PO->Texts for POs--->Define copying rule for item texts..
then check you should have a entry for "Item Text" if not then
Put a Consec no. and against it enter item text. then for this you have to maintain text linkage where u should have source object as Purchase requisition.
please confirm if these settings are already there?

Do all this in your custom JSP page. Once done then redirect to OA page using URLMgr.processoutgoingURL method.

Return to depot - original order from third party location to customer

Hi,
A return order has been configured for materials which have originally gone from third party location to customer location. During return process however the material is coming back to the depot, not the third party location. Now while trying to create an excise invoice after posting goods issue, the material is not showing in the list of excisable commodities. Please suggest a solution.
