Update benefits button disabled

Hi All,
I am working on benefits module. Here is my scenario.
1) When at the benefits module benefits link is clicked first the EffectivedatePG will be displayed it will show the session date as todays date. when clicked next it will display FamilyMbrsPG which has been customized as per the requirement. Now on FamilyMbrsPG there is one next button when clicked it will show the curentoverview of benefits and benefitsenrollmentPG. Here when there is an open life enrollment period is enabled to a user then the update benefits button is enabled automatically.
Though I had modified the FamilyMbrsPG I didntn modified Next button controller code nor it properties when there is an active open life enrollment period to an user when the personalization in on. I am unable to see the update benefits button infact it should be enabled.
I debugged several ways but still cant get to the point as why it is not showing the update benefits button. This is very imortant and urgency too..
Please let me know what I am missing here.

Thank you for your reply. Its working actually the answer was previously I was chaning the page effective date to life event date. Now I had re-designed the logic I am just deriving the life even date based on a sql query and storing in in a variable now that variable is used in where clause to pull the records based on life event date so In a way I am not changing the effective date of the page context. It is working fine now

In Employee Self Service (ESS), we are able to click on the Benefits function from the ESS menu, then after choosing the Next button from the Dependents and Beneficiaries page, the Benefits Enrollments page displays. When we go to click the Update Benefits button, we receive an unexpected error that tells us to contact the sys admin. Anyone know what the issue may be?

Thanks. I was able to address the issue with Oracle support.
One issue that I do have is that in the Cost Column when using the Update Benefits tab, the column shows an annual amount instead of a bi-weekly amount. After checking and chaning the Activity Reference Period in the Standard rates and communicated amount tabs, it still shows that amount. So, I sent it to Oracle support and the answer was less than stellar! Any suggestions on how employees can see the bi-weekly amount for enrollment selections?

Remove " Page from the Train" while updating Benefits.

Hi,
I have to remove "Update Enrollments Additional Data" page from a set of pages shown in train.
This scenario comes when user comes to update the Benefits and click on the "Update Benefits" button on /oracle/apps/ben/selfservice/enrollment/webui/EnrlOvervwPG 115.18 page.
Can I do this from Personalization or do I have to customize it and how?

Hey Ramkumar,
There are four programs to select from. If I select first one and then click on update benefits it shows me train of 5 pages and I want to remove the second one and want to go to third and then fourth and then final one.
But if I select any other program it shows 3 pages in the train first, second and final. If I modify the location attribute of first one and rendered to false for second one in train then some times it takes me to 3rd page no matter which program I select, after third one it just gives me error.
Could you please, tell me what to do, if I just have to remove 2nd page from any program and should go to next required page no matter whichever program I select.
I am getting this problem because all the programs are sharing same pages but with different content.
Thanks for your help, but I need more in that, if you could tell me what all attributes I shuld be modifing to make this work.

Disable / Deactivate Update Price button in Sales order creation

Hi Gurus,
My requirement is to disable the 'Price Update' button in the item --> conditions screen while creating or changing the sale sorder. A set of users should not be able to update the prices using 'Update Pricing' button. Is there any way to disable/deactivate this button in VA01 / VA02?

I think you can control through Authorization for the set of users to update the price in the sales Order. I think it will solve your requirement.

GUI update problem: button take time to be disabled

I have a Stop button. In the actionPerformed() method for the button, I disable the button and also some other buttons (using setEnabled(false)) then there are some other codes that include Thread.sleep() method. Then again I enable some other buttons. Problem is the Stop button take time to be disabled. The time exactly equals sec provided in the sleep() method. I tried by puting the button disabling buttons' code in another thread that is called from SwingUtilies.invokeLater() method just before the sleep() method. It is very important to disable some buttons before Thread.sleep() is called. And only after the sleep() method I can enable some other buttons.
Please help me.

Your code in the actionListener needs to be executed in a separate Thread, so that when you invoke the "sleep" method the separate Thread sleeps, not the Event Thread.

IOS 6.1.3 WIFI button disable problem on iPhone4S - It is definitely a BUG

I have a full house of Apple products from iPhone -> iPAD -> iPod -> Mac -> AirPort, and I am suffering from WIFI button disable problem after upgrade to iOS 6.1.3, without any clue after calling Apple Support, factory reset and reload iPhone for more than 10 times. I also try all tips on Apple Support Communicties except put it into a freezer, still no any luck. Apple Support suggests that my iPhone may be factly!
Tonight, I can get my WIFI back in below sequence:
1. Switch to English language from Chinese
2. Turn Cellular Data Option to off
3. Reset Network Setting
After the phone reset, the WIFI row show 'Not Connected', and I can select my home WIFI (Airport Express) without trouble. To prove my finding is workable to all case, can you try the same and update here if it works for you?

I sympathise with you as my iPhone 4s is 7 months old and is also greyed out. I tried everthing except the potentially stupid one of putting the iphone in a freezer! I took the phone back to the vendor who sent it away and repaired it. But alas after a month it is greyed out again. I have again returned to the vendor and he will repair it again. I asked him how and he told me it is a software conflict and he has to spend around 9 hours downloading a patch repair. Apple are aware of this issue and I feel completely let down because they have not posted a fix on the net. Presently I am living and working in Dubai, back in the UK I am sure my iPhone would have been exchanged for a new one. I need my iPhone for my work and cannot afford to just buy a new one so I have been let down and despite for years being a supporter of Apple and their products I shall think twice before investing in any more Apple products.

I'm not a Cisco employee, so I can't do anything with your backup.!
You need to take a backup as a precaution (You should have been doing this anyway) Then you need to call Cisco TAC to get the underlying problem fixed. CalManager is a locked-down environment, and only TAC can get the low-level access needed to fix database problems.

How to set button disabled property based on backing bean method

I have a table and a button on the page. When user selects certain table row I want to enable/disable the button.
My backing bean (which has backing bean scope in the task flow where the page is) is

How can I fix the Mac App Store "Update All" button?

When I have multiple updates, the "Update All" button appears, but doesn't work. It's not greyed-out; if I click on it, it gets dark while I hold the mouse button down. But nothing happens. No error message; it just doesn't work.
I can manually update my apps one at a time; the "Update" buttons next to individual apps work.
I'm running 10.8.5 on a MacBook Pro.
I've tried restarting, and repairing permissions, neither of which helped.

You need to update to Snow Leopard 10.6.6 to get the App store. If you're on an earlier version of Snow Leopard, just hit

If you're on 10.5 Leopard, you'll need to contact Apple and purchase a Snow Leopard disk or a Lion USB Flash drive.

I have created a site with iWeb. I have replaced the iWeb Nav bar with a vertical one I made myself. Problem is, my top button disables itself if it overlaps into the "hidden" nav bar area. I can cmd click and drag it into this area, but then all the rest

Well, you made a good start with SEO by getting rid of the iWeb default navigation since it doesn't help the spiders and, out there in the real world, there are more people than you would think with javascript turned off in their browsers.
One of the downsides of iWeb is that it doesn't allow for the alt attribute in the img tag. Its well worth adding these to give you extra keywords even if you have captioned all your images. Use iWeb SEO Tool for this...

Acrobat X Pro: Check for Updates Error 1007 Updates have been disabled by your system policy

Because of another Acrobat problem (I won't go into here), today I uninstalled Acrobat Pro 10.1.9 and re-installed Acrobat 10.0.0. I thought I could get back to 10.1.9 by selecting "Check for Updates" after installation. My system is Win7x64 and I'm running as a named user with Administrator rights on a machine that is not part of domain.
When I select "Check for Updates", I receive a window titled "Adobe Acrobat Updater" that says "Update failed Updates have been disabled by your system policy. Error: 1007 <Close>" About ten seconds later, Acrobat X terminates, leaving this window hanging around.
What do I do to enable checking for updates?

Over the last few days, Windows System Restore says I have done 4 (four) Remove/Install Pairs. I tried the helpful cleaner you suggested. I knew I probably had some Acrobat9 cruft, so I ran the Acrobat9 and Reader9 cleaners, then the AcrobatX cleaner (I never had ReaderX). I also uninstalled absolutely every Adobe program from my system: Flash Player (three versions), iFilter, Adobe AIR, Amazon Music Importer (relies on Adobe AIR).
I tried it both as 10.0.0, and installing 10.0.0 and then the 10.1.9 MSP you pointed me to at the "update link" above. I installed as "Trial" mostly, but once with my registration key.
Starting up Acrobat X still fails epically. Also, every time I've looked, it hasn't solved the "other Acrobat problem" that initiated all of this.
The most that I've received from Acrobat X today is the splash screen came up once. Only once. Even after a restart of Windows 7, launching AcrobatX from the Start Menu, Desktop or even directly from the EXE under "Program Files (x86) does nothing. I thought it might just be slow the last time, so I took a 15 minute coffee break after attempting to launch. Nothing.
Ergo, I am looking at Windows System Restore. I miss two days of not being able to read PDF's even if the "other Acrobat problem" remains.
However, I got a whiff that I have another problem headed my way. I bought update version of Acrobat9 and AcrobatX. I've now wiped all traces of Acrobat9 (and will shortly do another wipe of AcrobatX). The Cleaner log reports "** Info : Installed product not found for upgrade code". The MyAdobe website has all my install codes back to Acrobat4, but I'm not sure I could locate my Adobe 4 CDROM or the intervening CDROM's that would be required to source me back to a full version (maybe Acrobat6?).
As I understand it, System Restore will do many things but not actually install the program files that I've been writing and deleting from my disk over the last two days. So, I'm going to have to do some install of AcrobatX after I do the System Restore and I now have little hope that even that installation will work to "just put things back the way they were".
Is AcrobatX supported on Windows7x64 Ultimate? Is there some place to track down what may be the "issues due to the 64-bit system"?
I have checked the policies under Control Panel->Administrator and there is more to check there. My account is a member of Administrators, which I would think would give me the rights to do just about anything, but when I click on the "Local Security Policy" shortcut, I get a "Group Policy Error: Failed to open the Group Policy Object on this computer. You may not have the appropriate rights. <Close> Details: Unspecified error". I'll chase this down if the System Restore does not make this error go away, but this part is clearly not a problem with Adobe software. All of the Other Admin/MMC Tools like Computer Management open fine.

Must be serious because you have stated the problem 4 times now.
Here are a number of things that you can try and maybe one of them will help.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again.
You can also try going to the App Store, find an app that needs an update, tap on the app icon to bring up the description page, then tap on install that way, rather than using the Update option from the app updates screen.
And ... You can always install the updates in iTunes on your computer and then sync them to the iPad.

Update All Button Gone

Before upgrading to 2.0.2, when there are multiple updates available in the app store, I used to see an update all button. Now, however, I have upgraded to 2.0.2 and that button is not there. Has anyone else had this button disappear once updated to 2.0.2? If not, how can I fix it?

Update display button is not working means is it not triggerring the back end means you are not able to see any server roundtrip,
if so check whether you have inserted webdynpro script.
if not go to your form in sfp
then goto menu select Utilities->Insert Webdynpro Script.
then you will see one script generated automatically and you can check in Hierarchy Pallete with the name ContainerFoundation_JS under Variables.
save the form and activate and then click on Update Button.
