Das ist absoluter Mist und für Apple unwürdig. Nach dem iTunes update kommt eine Fehlermeldung, die Library kann nicht mehr gelesen werden. Man muss dann die aktuelle entfernen und neu importieren. Das ist keine gute Qualität.

I found a small mp3 player called VOX that works with m3u files and maybe is the solution for you. I cannot live without iTunes, but I don't let it manage my files anymore. It's the best player I know, but as a application, is a disaster.

try to open your QuickTime. does it launch properly, or do you get an error message?
if you get an error message, the first thing we'll try is a careful standalone QT 7.1 reinstall.
download and save a copy of the QT 7.1 standalone installer to your hard drive. (we'll run the install from there rather than online.) switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the install.

I've been running iTunes happily since December 2009 on my Windows XP machine. I've allowed each update to be applied and have never had a problem with it.
Suddenly today, I started getting an "iTunes has encountered a problem an needs to close" error about 30 seconds or so after iTunes loads. This happened repeatedly.
One of the suggestions on forums was to re-install QuickTime - I did this and it made no difference. I then fought with uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes and all other Apple apps for several hours. I worked through the "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable" problem, I managed to locate and use the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility (even though Microsoft have removed it), I re-installed the software and even managed to fix the "Apple Application Support Was Not Found" problem once iTunes was installed.
I finally managed to get iTunes up and running again and to my amazement it even recognised by iTunes library...and then got the "iTunes has encountered a problem" error that I started with ?
I've now watched iTunes more carefully to see exactly what's happening. What I can see is that it is trying to update my podcasts. It is simulatenously downloading three as usual and all goes fine until it's downloaded and processed one. After it's finishing processing the first one, the downloads stop and the original error is given. If I re-start it, the same thing happens (albeit with a different podcast).
I'm completely stuck now. Where do I go from here to sort this one out ? All help very gratefully received.Apple Application Support program file ... unlikely to be damaged, because after the uninstall/reinstall torment you went through, that's a brand new copy of the file you've got in there.
Can you check something further for me please? (This isn't going to be a cure in itself, but fingers crossed it'll rule out some possibilities and narrow in on some other possible causes.)
Create a new Windows user account on the PC with full administrative rights. Log out of your usual account and log into the new one. (Don't use fast user switching to move between accounts.)
Open iTunes in the new account. The setup assistant will run. Don't add any files when prompted, just let it eventually open to an empty library.
Now try downloading one of the podcasts that caused the crash into the new account's library. Do we get another "iTunes has encountered a problem" in there too? Or does it download without issue in there? -

habe folgendes Problem: "iTunes hat ein Problem festgestellt und muss beendet werden"
das sagt er jetzt trotz zigfacher Neuinstallation, Zurückstellung des Systems zu verschiedenen zurückliegenden Daten, Download der neuen Version usw. Ich werd bald verrückt! Ein paar Tage hat es funktioniert (problemlos) und jetzt geht gar nichts mehr, was kann ich tun???
In dem Problembericht steht immer etwas mit "appcompat.txt" Datei - was bedeutet das? Oder ist mein System nicht mehr in Ordnung und ich muss Windows neu installieren? Bitte helft mir, DANKE !!!

ITunes Library does not work after update 10.4
After updating 2 days ago to Lion,yesterday i must update Itunes to 10.4.
After updating Itunes 10.4 can not see my Itunes Library anymore on my Drobo(Ext HDD)
I've try everything but it don't work anymore.
Please help!!!Hi Michael, depending on which drobo you have, there are firmware updates you need to download from the drobo support site and install to your drobo, along with companion software on your new Lion system. You can probably do this from any mac that can see the drobo. Maybe even from Lion. For the first gen drobo (which I have) there's not yet a Lion firmware update.
Drobo (the company) says it's working on Time Machine, which for many people is failing to play nice with Drobo after the Lion upgrade. So you may have to wait a little longer for full Time Machine readiness.

My itunes opens 2-3 hrs after doubleclicking it to open;it happened once or twice with itunes 11.x , but its a constant problem after updating itunes to the latest 12.0.1....my operating system windows7;processor i5 intel haswell and 4gb ram...i have no issue with opening other big programs....i tried uninstalling completely the itunes and reinstalling it as i thought at first it is not opening (because it takes really long time) and i followed the following support pages
1)iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8: Fix unexpected quits or launch issues
2)iTunes for Windows doesn't open after upgrading in Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
but my problem doesnot get solved even after trying all the methods in the above pages...

White screen problem after updating to 1.1 firmware
My 2G iPod Nano worked fine with 1.0.1 and 1.0.2 firmware but after updating to 1.1 I get white screen everytime I turn it on after longer period of time. Turning the iPod off and then right back on makes it work again. I have done restore 3 times without effect. I even removed the firmware files so that iTunes downloads them again when doing the restore but that didn't work either.
Should I return it or wait for new firmware? Has anyone else had this problem after updating to 1.1?Disconnect iPod and close iTunes.
Firmware files are in "Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPod Software Updates" folder.
You should still have the 1.0.2 files named "iPod_19.1.0.2.ipsw" and "iPod_19.1.0.2.ipsw.signature" in there if have you upgraded from 1.0.1 version.
Remove 1.1 files from the folder so that only those to files are in there.
Disconnect from network (I switched off my wlan) so that iTunes can't download the new version. Connect your iPod and do Restore, iTunes will now use the old firmware files because it can't connect to the internet.

I would like to know before updating mine.My 3G kept freezing after iSO 4.2.. and after reading the forums I updated both my Itunes and software to iOS 4.3.1, now I've lost my notes, contacts, calender entries and so far in the last ten minutes it's turned off and restarted itself and sync'd continually about 5 times.
So basically I'm still where I was before only more cranky. In addition, I live in Australia and there are no Genius places here, there is no support from Apple unless you pay for it even by an email, you basically end up fending for yourself under a supposed warranty that isn't worth the paper its printed on.
It you haven't already guessed, I'm more than a little ****** off.
If I'd known how much trouble this was going to be, I don't think I would have spent the $400 odd dollars to buy it.
If its not right by the weekend I'm taking it back to the shop I bought it. -

The "netsh winsock reset" command worked like a charm for my machine (running Windows XP SP3). I have had two weeks of frustration with this issue and finally found your post which got me back online with the iTunes store. My problem accessing the iTunes store began once I downloaded and installed iTunes 10.5 in preparation to upgrade to OS5. Once 10.5 was installed, I could open iTunes and access everything except the store (which prevented any of my devices from being able to sync). I followed all of the suggestions that I could find in Apple Support and the suggestions that I was emailed from Apple's support techs. I unistalled all Apple software and reinstalled iTunes multiple times, and still could not access the store.
Your suggestion is the only "cure" that I have found.

Having Problems Updating iTunes 10.6.3, it wont update when I click the download button to update the itunes. What should I do to fix the issue? And does Anyone esle have this problem?
Just want to update the problem everybody is having downloading the new update. If you waited, and didn't try to reinstall or anything, it looks like a "fix" is coming to you. My previous ITunes was working fine so I decided to just wait it out and see if Apple would fix it. Knew it wasn't my computer because of all the same questions in this forum. And I want to let all to know that when I signed on to my computer today an Apple Software Update window popped up on my desktop. (Not the little one we've all been clicking on from the ITunes screen.). This came up right on my desktop. I clicked on it to download and it worked like a charm. After it was done downloading I pulled up ITunes and all looked great, all my purchases, songs were still there. I then plugged in my IPod and then my IPad and they both synced, etc., ....all is well again! So it you didn't try to re-install or anything, and have just been waiting and using your current version of ITunes, be patient. Looks like the fix will be coming to you, too.

I bought new i phone 5 3 days back, after that asked for new update which is 6.1.4, after updating my iphone i am not able to use cellular data services. I called up data provider, they says its the problem with new software update. There is no option add APN. Now when i switch to safari its showing you are not subscribed for cellular data. But I am able to use data on other phone.
Will you please help me in this regard?

I found the following information that helped me.....
Program errors occur when software conflicts arise due to an updated operating system. You can resolve these errors when you also update the driver software that causes the conflict or when you update the operating system. Program errors can also occur because of a damaged Photoshop preference file, or if there is a problem with a phone or internet connection. The Apple Disk Utility fixes file system errors that can also cause program errors.
Error "Could not complete your request..." or "Could not create a new document..." (Photoshop CS2 on Mac OS X v10.4)
Issue
Adobe Photoshop CS2 returns one of the following error messages:
"Could not complete your request because of a program error" when you try to open a file.
"Could not create a new document because of a program error" when you try to create a new file.
Solution 1:
Install the most recent update to Mac OS.
Solution 2:
Re-create your preferences files.
1. Hold CommandOptionShift when you start Photoshop.
2. Click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file?"
Solution 3:
Disconnect your Internet connection.
To disconnect your Internet connection, do one of the following:
If you are connected to the Internet via a telephone modem, then disconnect from the modem.

The one that fixed it for me was solution 6 -- re-creating my printers

They suggested I backup my device, and perform a factory data reset. When prompted to update to iOS 8 again, re-installation has been known to resolve the issue. With all the problems with iOS 8, camera, and overall device slowing, I might just wait for a follow on SW turn.
