Update JAR failed with

Dear all,
I am working on J2ME with Forte CE 3.0, when I am trying to "update jar" of a simple "hello World" program, sometimes it works / execute, sometimes it fails with an error "cannot start preverifier".
It normally works after I reboot the computer, and normally fails when I update JAR repeatedly.
Following is my working envirnoment:
Windows ME
Toshiba notebook
Forte CE3.0 and sdk 1.3..1a
J2ME1.0.3
what can be wrong? Please help.
Godfrey

I am having the SAME exact problem.
The output window then states:
c:\j2mewtk\bin\preverify.exe @ c:\windows\temp\preverify61711.tmp\files.txt
Cannot start preverifier.
Errors compiling sample.
I can compile and my programs only run them once, then this error pops up. I have to shut down Forte for it to work again. Any help would be appreciated.
Forte 3.0, Java 2 SDK 1.3.1_01, J2ME Wireless Toolkit 1.0.3

  • Updating Address Fails With APP-PER-52473

    Updating Address Fails With APP-PER-52473 "You must enter a secondary address dated later than the primary address."
    I have an issue w/ updating addresses. The form throws the PER-52473 error. The thing is- my client never assigned primary addresses in the system. Thus, we need to update the data accordingly. I have about 4 addresses per person. From metalink, I assumed all I needed to do was to end-date 3 of them, and flag one as PRIMARY. This still fails. Maybe I am missing something? Is there another step? Another table?
    My question- how do I make this error go away. I have been playing around with end-dates and primary flags, over lapping and non-overlapping dates, and no luck. Any assistance would be great. Thanks.
    ADDRESS_ID     BUSINESS_GROUP_ID     DATE_FROM     DATE_TO     PRIMARY_FLAG     STYLE
    11968417     101     11-MAR-09     null      Y     10
    11968419     101     15-JUL-08     10-MAR-09     N     10
    11968420     101     13-JUL-08     14-JUL-08     N     10
    11968421     101     11-JUL-08     12-JUL-08     N     10

    Looks like a bug.
    Per_Addreses is a Dated table and not a date-track table.
    So you can still have -
    11968417     101     11-MAR-09     null N     10
    11968419     101     15-JUL-08     null     N     10
    11968420     101     13-JUL-08     null     N     10
    11968421     101     11-JUL-08     null     Y     10
    Why can't you create your latest address(primary) also effective employee start_date ?
    As of system date your primary will be the one you can refer in reports/processes. So there will be no harm.
    Where exactly are you using the addresses ?
    Can you not have overlapping addresses ?
    cheers,
    Vignesh

  • Windows Update KB2926765 fails with error code 8024200D.

    Note: it was recommended that I post this to TechNet. It was originally posted at http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-windows_update/vista-update-bug/ed9baacd-edd3-449f-b679-8f71614f3a15?msgId=ca75efe9-beea-41e9-afda-7ffe15f9b0f3.
    Windows Update KB2926765 keeps failing to install. The error code is 8024200D.
    I've run sfc /scannow with no errors.
    I used the System File Checker tool http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833/en-us.
    I ran the System Update Readiness tool.  http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=1540
    The update still failed to install.
    I've also run the MGADiag tool and the Microsoft FixIt windows update (wu) tool.
    I then downloaded the update from the Microsoft Update Catalog http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Home.aspx
    and copied it to the Windows\CheckSUR\packages folder (after creating the "packages" folder) , and ran the Readiness tool again.
    The update failed to install.
    I ran the readiness tool again. This time the readiness tool found no errors.

    I also recently ran the "automatic troubleshooter" MicrosoftFixit.wu.LB.236326420485116200.3.1.Run.exe and still have the problem.
    We're using Windows Vista Business SP2 32 bit upgraded from XP. Antivirus - Bitdefender up to date. Previous antivirus - Avira Antivir and AVG. Firewall - Online Armor. The last successful update installation was Security Update for Office 2003 (KB2726929).
    It and other updates have installed successfully (after the KB2926765 failure) and KB2926765 keeps failing.

  • Update trigger fails with value too large for column error on timestamp

    Hello there,
    I've got a problem with several update triggers. I've several triggers monitoring a set of tables.
    Upon each update the updated data is compared with the current values in the table columns.
    If different values are detected the update timestamp is set with the current_timestamp. That
    way we have a timestamp that reflects real changes in relevant data. I attached an example for
    that kind of trigger below. The triggers on each monitored table only differ in the columns that
    are compared.
    CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER T_ava01_obj_cont
    BEFORE UPDATE on ava01_obj_cont
    FOR EACH ROW
    DECLARE
      v_changed  boolean := false;
    BEGIN
      IF NOT v_changed THEN
        v_changed := (:old.cr_adv_id IS NULL AND :new.cr_adv_id IS NOT NULL) OR
                     (:old.cr_adv_id IS NOT NULL AND :new.cr_adv_id IS NULL)OR
                     (:old.cr_adv_id IS NOT NULL AND :new.cr_adv_id IS NOT NULL AND :old.cr_adv_id != :new.cr_adv_id);
      END IF;
      IF NOT v_changed THEN
        v_changed := (:old.is_euzins_relevant IS NULL AND :new.is_euzins_relevant IS NOT NULL) OR
                     (:old.is_euzins_relevant IS NOT NULL AND :new.is_euzins_relevant IS NULL)OR
                     (:old.is_euzins_relevant IS NOT NULL AND :new.is_euzins_relevant IS NOT NULL AND :old.is_euzins_relevant != :new.is_euzins_relevant);
      END IF;
    [.. more values being compared ..]
        IF v_changed THEN
        :new.update_ts := current_timestamp;
      END IF;
    END T_ava01_obj_cont;Really relevant is the statement
    :new.update_ts := current_timestamp;So far so good. The problem is, it works the most of time. Only sometimes it fails with the following error:
    SQL state [72000]; error code [12899]; ORA-12899: value too large for column "LGT_CLASS_AVALOQ"."AVA01_OBJ_CONT"."UPDATE_TS"
    (actual: 28, maximum: 11)
    I can't see how the value systimestamp or current_timestamp (I tried both) should be too large for
    a column defined as TIMESTAMP(6). We've got tables where more updates occur then elsewhere.
    Thats where the most of the errors pop up. Other tables with fewer updates show errors only
    sporadicly or even never. I can't see a kind of error pattern. It's like that every 10.000th update
    or less failes.
    I was desperate enough to try some language dependend transformation like
    IF v_changed THEN
        l_update_date := systimestamp || '';
        select value into l_timestamp_format from nls_database_parameters where parameter = 'NLS_TIMESTAMP_TZ_FORMAT';
        :new.update_ts := to_timestamp_tz(l_update_date, l_timestamp_format);
    END IF;to be sure the format is right. It didn't change a thing.
    We are using Oracle Version 10.2.0.4.0 Production.
    Did anyone encounter that kind of behaviour and solve it? I'm now pretty certain that it has to
    be an oracle bug. What is the forum's opinion on that? Would you suggest to file a bug report?
    Thanks in advance for your help.
    Kind regards
    Jan

  • RoboHelp 10.0.1 Update installation fails with error code: U44M2P7

    After installing RoboHelp 10, I ran the 10.0.1 Update's installer.  It failed with the following error log:
    Adobe RoboHelp 10.0.1 Update
    Installation failed. Error Code: U44M2P2
    I tried re-installing RoboHelp 10, followed by a reboot of the machine.  Several attempts to run the 10.0.1 updater gave me exactly the same error.  No applications were running when the installation was attempted.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!
    Layne

    Only Adobe can tell the meaning of the error codes.
    Are you downloading the update or running it from Adobe's site.
    Try downloading from here. http://www.adobe.com/support/robohelp/downloads.html
    Otherwise this is an installation problem that is supported free. Contact Adobe.

  • HT4623 update process fails with the following message "Unable to Verify Update.  iOS 6.1 failed verification because you are no longer connected Internet."

    my iphone 5 is connected to a wi-fi network and i'm able to browse the web and receive emails.  however when i try to update the software the process fails with the following message "Unable to Verify Update.  iOS 6.1 failed verification because you are no longer connected Internet." It gives an open to "Close" or "Try again", but the retry is also unsuccessful.

    Try to connect to secure web site. If you can't, that would mean that your iphone is unable to authenticate itself to apple servers in order to download update. If you can - I would still guess same but with less certainty and suggest to update on another network.

  • Update KB3033929 fails with error code 80004005

    Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB3033929)
    Installation date: ‎3/‎11/‎2015 8:57 AM
    Installation status: Failed
    Error details: Code 80004005
    Update type: Important
    A security update. . .
    I can't find any info on this error.  Tried the update twice and both times it failed.

    OK, I ran it again.. and I think this is the relevant part of the +200M log.  It does seem to have something to do with the boot manager or knowing which drive is the 'globalroot', perhaps.

  • ThinkVantage System Update keeps failing with "an error occurred while downloading packages"

    For approximately a week now, various machines I am responsible for have been unable to successfully run System Update.  The error I see in v3 vs. v4 of System Update is slightly different, though I wonder if the underlying cause is the same.  On one machine (ThinkCentre M52) running XP (so using Update v3), when attempting to download the package information, I get the error: "An error occurred while downloading packages".  I checked the TVSU log, and find the following error:
    Info 2011-10-03 , 08:31:00
     at Tvsu.FileDownloader.HttpsDownload.StartDownload(FileDownloadInfo fileInfo, downloadingDelegate downDelegate)
     Message: An exception ocurred while downloading https://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/thinkvantage_en/livefeed.xml
     Status set to FAILED
     Exception:
      Message: Error at DirectFileDownloader when validating certificates, or a secure channel cannot be established.
      Type: Tvt.FileDownloader.CertificateValidationException
         at Tvsu.FileDownloader.HttpsDownload.doDownloadByHttps(FileDownloadInfo fileInfo, downloadingDelegate downDelegate)
       at Tvsu.FileDownloader.HttpsDownload.StartDownload(FileDownloadInfo fileInfo, downloadingDelegate downDelegate)
    If I try to navigate to the URL noted in the message using Internet Explorer, I can understand why this is failing: IE displays a message that the certificate for the site is invalid and, thus, the site cannot be loaded.  I have noticed a similar issue when trying to use the "Auto Detect" tool on this machine from the Lenovo site... I.E. indicates the site's certificate is invalid.
    This machine is a fresh OS reinstall from nothing; TVSU version is the latest (that I know of): 3.15.0017.  I do have two other XP machines (that have been installed for quite some time) running the same version of TVSU that DO NOT experience this issue.  I've otherwise been unable to figure out what the difference betweens the machines is.  Any thoughts either Lenovo or the community can share would be much appreciated.

    hey PSIC01,
    try installing this version of TVSU - http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS012808
    and see how it goes.
