Updating a Documentum virtual document with insets and graphics
(In which forum does this question belong?)
(FM11 with the EMC Documentum connector.)
I understand that the EMC Documentum connector to FM11 creates the "virtual document" resource in Documentum from a FM book and its dependent files. The creation of the virtual document happens when the book is first uploaded from FM11 through the CMS interface to Documentum.
That works for me.
How do I add referenced graphics to, or remove referenced graphics from, a chapter of the book so that the virtual document resource is automatically updated during check-in, check-out, or when I click on a control (that I don't see in the interface) ?
Will a workflow cause the EMC Documentum interface do that?
Or do I need to perform all additions to and deletions from the virtual document through, as an example, the Webtop interface?
Backstory
From work of a colleague last year, I inherited a book with referenced graphics.
The book and all of its chapter files reside in Documentum. A Documentum "virtual document" resources enables me to check out the book so that it and all dependent files become available.
The structure in the Documentum tree, and on the workstation Documentum cache, is similar to this:
_Book at top level
_Graphics folder at top level
_Chapter_1
_Chapter_2
I have successfully:
Created a graphic file and stored it in _Graphics on my workstation desktop (not the cache)
Uploaded the graphic to the _Graphics folder in Documentum through the Repository Manager.
In a _Chapter_# file, added the graphic to the chapter by reference. Using the Repository Mananger, I selected the graphic file from Step 2. The "progress bar" in FM indicated that FM was downloading the graphic file to the cache.
Saved the chapter file.
Checked in the book through Repository Manager. All of the chapter files and graphics checked in as expected.
Checked out the book through Repository Manager.
Opened the _Chapter_# file from step 3.
FM asks me to identify the location of the new graphic file.
I check the Repository Manager. The new graphic file is not checked out, no apparently it is not part of the book virtual document resource.

Yes you can change the word document, then make a new PDF then replace the form with the fields with the new PDF.
If you are careful and do not change the position of the fields then it will fit right in.
If you change or add fields then with Acrobat you will have to rearrange the fields to match.

Iam checking with document number , document type, document part, document version... it is throwing error message as
error while checking in and storing: version number(25).
Please advice whether it is correct approach?

Need information about FI document with header and no items
Hello Experts!
I need your help for understanding the following subject :
How is it possible when using F.13 to obtain a fi document with header without items sometimes,
and fi document with header and items anothers times?
We didn't saw/found customizing topics about that ( to enable or not header without items) Some exists?
The only difference in the two cases are the document's type involded which are not the same.

We match / compare every fields and value between invoice of 1st and 2tch case, every fields and value between payment of 1st and 2th case.
( we create tests case in own integration system for reproduce )
We alse match / compare customizing of invoice type document YB and YT and they seems identical...
The procedure is the same with F.13 to do conciliation in both cases.
we got same amount, same currency etc etc.
We still didn't understand why with invoice type YT the conciliation document created is not the same as invoice type YB ...

I have now recently downloaded 10.0.2 which is confusing in itself, as, as far as I can ascertain that is actually version 11, but I'm not even sure about that.
Version 10.0.2 is the newest version and the successor to GarageBand '11 (version 6.0.5).
The '11 is referring to the iLife '11 suit of multimedia application - the older GarageBand was a part of this bundle.

Oracle9iAS R2 - Virtual Hosts with Portal and SSO with OIDDAS application

I have installed a the machine with name minsk.discover.local. The machine have installed Infrastructure and Portal. The instalation is sucessfull and i work fine. But i have publish Portal to WEB with name intranet.discover.com.br. The Oracle describe:
1 - Create the virtual hosts in SSO and PORTAL - OK
2 - run ptlasst to create SSO Partners Applications - OK
After this steps iwork fine with Portal and SSO, but when i click in portlet to create user to access the application OIDDAS, the Portal redirect to login page of SSO in address mct.com.br, the internal name, when then name not responde in the internet.
I need a help!!!!

So my question changes slightly to:
What is the best way to install and configure a webgate for clustered Oracle App servers with mulitple virtual hosts, that are residing behind a load balancer (Traffic Manager)?

We created a pdf document with comments and hyperlinks. On iPad, comments/hyperlinks disappear.
Using Acrobat Pro 9, we created a pdf with comments and hyperlinks to be shared with a large community on the iPad, through a server. Once the document is opened on the iPad, all the comments and hyperlinks disappear. Are we missing a tool on the iPad or is there a different way to create this file? Thank you.
Is everyone on the iPad using the latest version of Adobe Reader mobile for iOS (10.6 at the moment)? You can see all the comments (including drawing markups) as well as view the notes attached to text markup with this version.

Preview will not let me annotate document with text and save - HELP!
I have to provide a JPG document to a client that they need to annotate with text in Preview. However, Preview will not allow either of us to save this document once it is annotated, even though I created the JPG through an exported Illustrator File (and therefore have rights to the document).
I have talked to many other people that have annotated documents with text in Preview & save the document without problems, so I have not been able to receive any helpful information to correct this issue.
... Or are there any other suggestions of programs that my client can open the JPG in and annotate with text? She also has a MacBook Pro and would be willing to download a program if it was reasonably priced/free.

Need help with XML response to refresh document with context and prompts
I've been working with the Restful api for a few weeks now and have been able to figure out most of what I need to automate testing of our reports. However, one task that I have not been able to figure out is how to refresh a document that contains both a context and two prompts for dates.
Here is what I have tried, and what the API responds with.
1) I queried the API for this document's parameters using the following call after logging in -

I am not very good with XML and the terminology around it, and I haven't received much training around using the Restful API other than the SDK documentation. I have a feeling there is something very basic that Im missing here. What is the correct XML needed in the response body to properly refresh the document?If you are more confortable with JSON, Raylight supports it as well.

Best way to Organise - Shared Documents with Others and to iPad2
I have a large number of iWork documents on my iMac. Some of these documents I wish to share with others and also to my iPad2.
Previously I used the iWork.com BETA and this was integrated with Pages, Numbers and Keynote through the 'Share' iCon in each application. This was very convenient linked with email and worked seamlessly. However now I have to Upload and Download documents through the iCloud website, issue separate email invitation. A more manually intensive way of achieving the previous 'slick' method.
Has anyone found a good way of organising and distributing documents?
Any suggestions for a good iWork.com replacements?That is a quesiton I also have. It seems that there is no way to do this currently. When it comes to documents, iCloud is more or less useless because (a) it can only sync files that are stored inside the apps and (b) in iOS you can't move files out of the apps.
The best solution I know about is "wuala". It syncs everything you want on your Mac and it runs on all common systems. So I have synced all my documents across my Macs, iPhone and iPad and can share files & folders with others.
The only problem now is, that once you open a file on the iPhone or iPad, it will be instantly saved there (inside the app) and you can't move it to the original location (the sync folder in wuala). This part breaks the whole concept and I don't know any alternative. -
Problem with insets and placement within a JFrame.
I have written some code that actively renders (at about 100 fps) to a JPanel contained within a JFrame. The size of the frame and the size of the panel are both set to 1000 by 700 (odd i know..)
Everything seems to work fine and I have encountered insets before so when I am rendering I have been adjusting accordingly. However I have started to try and draw my own menu bar at the bottom of the panel and this is where I am having problems. Whatever I draw seems to be too low and disappears off the bottom. To solve this I tried getting the insets from the JFrame:

xAdjustmentRight = insets.right;
yAdjustmentTop = insets.top;
yAdjustmentBottom = insets.bottom;When I do this on my vista machine I get insets of 3, 3, 23, 3 accordingly. When I print out the coordinates of mouse clicks I find that at the top left corner i get 3, 23 as you would expect. When I click in the bottom right corner of my screen I get 996 (ish), 716.
The 996 can be explained by the left inset and my bad clicking however the 716 bears no relation to the top inset of 23 or the bottom inset of 3 in any way .... I am doing something wrong or have I missed something such as by adding the JPanel to the JFrame I have added or subtracted a distance somehow?
I ran the program on my xp machine and got similar insets of 3,3,29,3. However when I click in the bottom right of the page I get exactly the same coordinates as on the vista machine .. this just doesn't seem to make sense?
I should probably also mention how the rendering works just incase ... I'm drawing to a VolatileImage which I then draw onto the JPanel using its own graphical context. Interestingly anything I render on the image at y coord of 0 appears correctly at the top of the screen .... which it shouldn't because of the inset ... I'm so confused.
I hope someone can help / understand my babblings. If you need more code I can post it.. just there's rather alot of it.Sorry, my bad I realised I was doing some rather stupid calculations elsewhere in the program. I have now managed to get my drawn bar where I need it to be on both machines.
However, if I am rendering a picture of 1000 by 700 and the actual screen you are seeing is something along the lines of 993 by 674 (values minus the insets) this means I am wasting time rendering a picture larger than I am actually displaying, how to be normally interpret the sizes, do they go to the very outside of the panel or the visual element inside it? I could easily just increase the JFrame itself to be larger say 1006 by 726 and have the image the exact size within that.
Whichever way I have solved my original problem so no worries. -

I would recommend utilizing the uninstall instructions available in the link referenced in message #7. Once you have run all the available uninstallers available in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder then please use the CC Cleaner Tool. When I am merging a Pages document, the header and graphic is only printing on every other page?
I have make a Merge file from Pages. When I go to print this, the Header and Graphic is only printing on every other page. Can anyone advise?
That is very hard to follow.
We have no idea what you are merging, nor what header or graphic you are referring to as we can not see the document.
My guess is that you are talking about something like a letterhead which has a logo and address only on the first page and none on the following pages.
Each merge is probably running over the 1st page and onto a following blank page. If you want the "Header and Graphic" to appear on subsequent pages as well then you will need to create master pages/objects for the following pages to suit.
This is how you go about doing it for a standard letterhead and follower:

I am working with pages for a book and have made already a layout whre photos and graphs etc. are partly outside of the area for the text, their posotion is not fixed the the text.
And now I nedd support: When I add text or a photo to the layout the text moves and the unfixed photos etc. keep there position. This means I have to update each photo or graph to shift it to the new position ore I have to place photos etc. within the frame of the text, which is not the kind of layout I am going for.
I hope for two reliefs, which I do not know how to realize it.
1. If I specify each chapter as a new partition starting with own page (then I hoped) the new section would shift together into a new page and the positions of photos etc. and text would stay fix. But unfortunately this seeems not to be the case. Question: is this possibe orno? If yes, how to do it?
I could divede the whole txt chapter by chapter into individual documents, which are seperatly created and worked. At the end I would have to merge all this document into one. Is it possibe to merge different pages-document into one document?

Thanks HartmutImages and other object can either be floating or be inline. Yours are floating and will not move with the text. Inline object will move with the text but can't be outside the text layer. It doesn't help if you have created section in the document. Floating images doesn't care. Nor will it help if you create several documents that you want to merge later. Doesn't make any difference.
My suggestion is that until your text is finished you have the images inline. Then as a last editing you can start make the images floating and move them a little.
