Updating one user in Caching realm

Hi,
I am wondering if it is possible at all to update only one user in the cache,
or is it only possible to update the whole cache?

I am having the same problem. I thought i have specified all the caching properties
except the TTL stuff. I though i would use the default for the TTL. Can u please
post me what properties you set to make it work.

Hey,I was wondering if there was anyway a user ( whose username password) i retrieve from a database can be created only in the caching realm and the createUser not propogate to the fileRealm..caz when the server is stopped, i want all the cached user entries to be deleted..and if the createUser propogates to the fileRealm, they will become persistent..Thanx for help in advance,Tapan

Step 1) (As Andreas explained): create an extra realm; navigate to the your.servername/oiddas page. Select the third tab "Directory". Notice an extra picture appears in the upper right corner, called "Realms". Click that, and create the realm.
Step 2) Reconfigure your SSO server to allow for the extra realm
Step 3) Configure Application Server Hosting
Step 4) Add the subscriber
Step 5) Add user(s) - note the extra option "Realm" in the basic data part
It's a lot more complicated than rpelies on this forum allows; the documentation describes it quite well - note that the enblhstg.csh misses the "-mode sso" switch (at least for 10.1.2 on HP-UX)
Bottom line: create users is simply the Create button on the users page - you shoud have the option to select the default realm there, not on the realm pages

Error whiile updating more than one user

If the resultset contains one value, my code works fine. I get an error when there are more than one users. any thoughts?

You will need to search based on the Users.Key or another unique value to get only a single set when you perform the update. So your first search is to get all the users that match your criteria, then you need to perform a second search for the individual user when you do the update.

Update processes are occupied fully by one user ID

Dears,
The update processes are occupied fully in two SAP Instances by one user ID, this happened for the second time due to the same user and same transaction,
it caused some IDOC generated very very slowly,
actually there are still some free update processes in the other two instances, but why IDOC processing update cannot assign to the free update processes?

There is no any deadlocks in this system when issue happened.
only two dialog instance's update were all occupied by the same user and same transaction.
Users replied he just do the same operation as normal.
Abaper also analized the trace log and think it's normal.
But now almost everyday some user's transaction will occupied many update work processes,
then it will cause other user's update request always waitting in the system, it impacted seriously for other update business, the system's running speed is also normal when one user's transaction occupied many update work processes and running about 1 hours.
So what any other logs can we checked for this issue ?

I can't update, error message says I don't have system permission. There is no admin account on this computer. It only has one user.

This is a one-user Mac running snow leopard. I don't think I ever set up an admin account since I am the only user. Why can't I update Firefox?

Safari won't open for one user but does for other

I have 2 users on my mac. Out of nowhere, the Safari application will not open when I am logged in but works fine with my other user (where I am currently writing from). When I'm logged in, it hangs but the application never opens...just the searching colored ball over the application headings at the top making have to force quit to do anything else. I have the most recent version of everything and haven't even updated or installed anything within the last week. Just stopped working. I've read many different suggestions about removing plug ins and other files from various libraries. I do not have the Leopard install disks to try re-installing as it was installed at the genius bar for me as my DVD drive does not read any install disks. I'm at a total loss. How can it work with one user and not another--it's the same computer...Thanks.

OK--So I kept searching through all the discussions for other possible solutions....each time removing some file and putting it on my desktop and trying again. Well something worked. I have the following folders now on my desktop that were removed

The last file I dragged to the desktop was the form values folder. No idea what actually worked but it's up and running and actually moving faster than before.
Question now is do I trash all these folders I dragged out to the desktop? Or do some need to go back? Any other safari maintenance I should do now that it's open? I emptied the cache and cleared the history. Just trying to be preventative. Thanks iBod for your suggestions and I hope this helps someone else as it appears that many have had this issue.

Safari stalls, but only on one user account

I am having a problem with web browsers, but only on one particular user account. Safari will usually (>90% of the time) stall after the blue bar loads 1/4 to 1/3 of the way. It will hang permanently and never complete loading the page. This happens primarily when I click on a link in any web page. I can sometimes (<25% of the time) go to a page by typing the URL in the address bar. This happens with any browser (Safari, Thunderbird, Google Chrome) with this user account. On all other user accounts, all web browsers work normally. The user account that is giving me trouble is the one with all of our photos, documents, etc., so would prefer not to simply delete this account and create a new one.
I have already tried emptying the cache, disabling the cache, restarting the computer, updating to the latest version of OS X, clearing history and website data, etc.
I have a mid-2011 iMac 12,1 with 2.7 GHz Intel core i5 processor and 20 GB of memory. I am running OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 and Safari 8.0.4. I have a 1 TB hard drive with 630 GB available.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Using Remote Desktop Admin app in more than one user account.

Is possible to have the ARD admin app use the same database and settings over more than one user account?
eg. I have ARD setup on my Mac as I am in charge of our organisations Macs. However if I am away for a few weeks, one of our other techs would be able to turn on my Mac, log in to a generic account, open ARD and it would be set up exactly as I have it in my user account.
I know that I could manually set up ARD in the other account, but with the number of machines we have I would rather not have to re-enter all those admin passwords all over again, and then have to remember to update ARD in the other account everytime we get a new machine or make other changes.

In theory, you could simply copy the com.apple.RemoteDesktop.plist into the preferences folder of the other user. Then they would simply have to know the Remote Desktop Password (which is probably stored in your KeyChain.)
I've never tried this, but it seems like it would work.

Magic Mouse works properly only on one user Account

I just bought a Magic Mouse to use with my PPC Imac. I have two users set up on this iMac and I set up the mouse while using one of those user accounts. By the way I set it up to be a left-handed mouse with the left button being for the secondary (right) click. I got the mouse installed and it wasn't working very smoothly. Then I discovered that I needed to update the software to the Magic Mouse Update 1.0. That seemed to get it working as fine as it could on this old machine and I was quite happy with it. However, yesterday I switched to the other user account and the Magic Mouse was acting completely weird. When I clicked on anything it was like a right click with menus popping up. In addition, it wouldn't single click at all. I checked in System Preferences that it was set up the same way as on the other account and it was. I then tried to switch it back to be a normal right-handed mouse. That gave me some functioning but it was very inconsistent and frustrating. If it wasn't for the "old" wireless mouse that I had there were moments when I would have been completely stuck.
Given that it worked fine on the one user account this doesn't seem like a hardward problem to me. I also installed it on my husband's MacBook Pro running Lion and it works okay in both user accounts. However, some of the special functions, like Smart Zoom and Mission Control don't seem to be functioning.
Any help would be appreciated.

Did you ever get this resolved. Same thing. In my admin user account it works but in the one I use most I can't swipe scroll or anything?

One user for multiple tablespaces

Hello.
Oracle 11g enterprise.
Whenever I setup a new tablespace on my server, I create a user for each tablespace on the server.
Is is possible to create only one user for all tablespaces on a server?
What is the easiest way to create this one user to have all roles and privileges across all tablespaces?
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I would seriously question a design with 'N' databases (whether they are on 1 or more or 'N' servers is not the issue) and DBLink from each of the databases to every other database.
Not only is it going to be hell to manage (how and when can you decide to shutdown a database for maintenance / patching / server/hardware maintenance when you have N-1 others connecting to it online), but it indicates a possibly high level of data duplication.
So we still revert to why you think you need that many databases and that many users and that many database links.
As has been pointed out, there is no relation between tablespaces and DBLinks. NONE whatsoever.
As for tablespaces and users, I can have
a. One Tablespace and 10 database accounts with any 1 to 10 of the accounts storing data objects in the tablespace
b. Ten Tablespaces and 1 database account storing data objects across all 10 tablespaces
c. 100 database accounts but only 1 to N of them having any data objects, the others only doing SELECT/INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE on objects owned by 1 to N schemas. (This one schemas all being in 1 tablespace or M tablespaces).
There is no one-to-one correspondence between users and tablespaces necessary. Tablespaces are for logical grouping of data objects.
I keep referring to data objects as these (Tables, Indexes, LOBs, IOTs, Clusters etc) require storage. Objects like Sequences do not require separate tablepaces although they have persistent values. Objects like DBLinks and Views are only definitions and require no storage (other than in the data dictionary !). Objects like Procedures and Packages and Triggers are code objects and require no storage (other than in the data dictionary).
So :
1. Such a design needs to be questioned.
2. Even if you need such a design, do not tie DBLinks to Tablespaces.
3. Even if you need DBLinks, do not tie Users to Tablespaces.

Update one row at a time, Data Grid

Is it possible to update one row of a mx:DataGrid at a time. I want to be able to have a user push a button and info populates one row of the data grid, user changes some properties and pushes the button again and another row of values populate the DataGrid. Everything I see does a mass population from an XML or what have you.

I did this this to work, so for those of you who may find this info helpfull here is how I solved the issue.
I instantiated an ArrayCollection object like so:
private var _rowValues:ArrayCollection = new ArrayCollection();
I simply referenced the .addItem() property of my ArrayCollection.
I then added values to the ArrayCollection as follows
_rowValues.addItem({Ingredient:ingredient, Amount:amount, Category:category}); //dataField:value
and referenced the dataField proerpty of the DataGrid... so in my case my 3 dataField properties (in my mxml compontent) were as fillows:
dataField="Ingredient"
dataField="Amount"
dataField="Category"
all done, and it works.

1. Does not start automatically 2. Only ONE user at a time

When I plug the IPOD it should start iTunes automatically (I have the box checked) but it does not. Never has done that. I have the latest 7.1 version.
Another pain in the rear is that only one user at a time can run iTunes. That stinks. If another user has it open you MUST log off, stop them, log on. They ought to make this work for all users as other windows pro rams do. If it is doing NOTHING with the library then I ought to be able to use it.

That may be true but it is a real pain since when it happens the only way to recover is to terminate all of the iTunes modules with task manager and start it manually. It also leaves the IPOD in a state that says do not disconnect. You can disconnect since nothing is really happening but there is no excuse for this not to start much faster. When you have multiple users it is a real pain. It ought to be able to either end when finished or better yet allow multiple users simultaneously updating from different libraries.
I guess i will just have to get in the habit of treating it as a single user and start and stop it every time I need it and be suer not to let it run. Not nice because that means waiting for larger Podcast downloads instead of having there ready for me when I sign on my computer.

Get Error while update the User defined row table through DSK Code

Hi experts,
I have got an error while updating the user row defined table.
Error is - "Invalid row"
I have created one master table "@CBF_FARM " and Child table "@CBF_FAR1"
First i inserted 5 record in the child table so in my my child table there are 5 Line id (1,2,3,4,5 one for each row).
after that i delete 2 rows (3rd & 4th row) from child table now in my child table there are 3 rows( Line id 1, 2, 5). Please See attachment.
Now i am updating the last record of child table through Code (Line id is 5) from other form, then i got error invalid row.
Following Code used for updating the user defined child table.

As per my knowledge
What i understood is you have 5 lines and you are going to be update 5th line
am i correct..
while u are updating the line in child table
you have to consider like this..
line number         u have to update like
1                                        0
2                                        1
3                                        2
4                                        3
5                                        4
which means in child table treat
line 1 as 0
line 2 as 1
line 5 as 4
If you want to update the line 5 u have to mention 4 th line
