Updating podcasts to just the latest "new" one
I used to have my podcasts set to manual and when I wanted new ones, I only wanted the latest new one. Not all of them as I dont have the time for them all.
I used to be able to downlaod them that way until iTunes 11. I have it set still to manually download the lasted new one only, but it downloads them all. I get a hundred or so,
How do I get it back to how it once was?

I also emailed Apple for help with this and they recommended this forum. I read that there are a lot of problems with podcasts with iTunes ver 11.
I have mine set to manual with downloading the most recent one. But when I click update it downloads all that are available. Not just the newest like I have it set at.
There is also a download arrow - I guess it is - but my number of podcasts change to add all of those to my total.With a complete Blue dot beside them. But when it downloads it seems like it only downloads the one but the total is changed showing I have them all.
Does ANYONE know how this works now.
You would think there are some apple people that can help with this but the fellow that emailed me from Apple Support had no idea at all about podcasts and their settings and how it works.
What a shame - podcasts are a huge part of the iphone experience.

just bought a new I-Mac. At start up several updates were needed. The I-movie one stopped and shows an ERROR HAS Occurred. Howevr it does not allow me to update it again. In my purchases it shows as Installed with Error. What should I do?
If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.

I just updated my 3gs to the latest iOS 5 update and now I am unable to text certain numbers. I keep getting the error code 1121611611 invalid number, even though the number I have in my contacts is a 10 digit number. Any suggestions on fixing this?

Ok so you want Apple to address the problem, but yet you don't want to take it to them just in case they can't fix it? What if they can fix it? Complaining here certainly won't fix it. -
My old IMAC is a few years old. Just bought a new one OS X 10.8.2. The old one is OS X 10.5.8. Can I install Lion or equivalent and then synch both on ICLOUD. Or is there another way to synch the two computers.
You can use Migration Assistant in Applications > Utilities to get all your files from one iMac to the other. If you want to upgrade your older model to MtLion you need to have at least a mid 2007 Intel Core 2 Duo with a bare minimum of 2GB of RAM. Then you need to buy the Snow Leopard 10.6.3 DVD , update with
Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1
at which point you can access the App Store to purchase and install MtLion 10.8 where you would then have access to the iCloud. -
i just updated my iphone to the latest update and my phone now has a picture of the connection cable with an arrow pointing to itunes. I plug it in and connect to itunes and nothing happens. HELP.

Check out the articles below to get your iPhone to show up in iTunes so it can be restored. Start with the first one to see if you can make any change to show up in iTunes and if it does not, then pick either the second or third article for the type of computer that you have.

Yes. Update to iTunes 10.3.1
Then go to the iTunes Store and click Purchased "new" under Music Quick Links on the right side of the iTunes window.
You can re download your purchased content from the next window. -
I have a windows 8 computer and have recently updated my ipod to the latest ios and it has wiped my Ipod clean except for my photos. whilst trying to get my music back using different sources like CD's and stuff i cant seem to get any album art to load on my Ipod? I can go on itunes and highlight single/multiple items and change the artwork and my computer will confirm it but when I look on my Ipod it doesnt display any art work or allow me to change the artwork that is already there? i need help please!
Album artwork can be added/changed on songs via the iTunes Get Info menu item from the File menu. Note that music that you loaded from CDs will not have any artwork. If you want to aquire artwork you can try the File menu item Library > Get Artwork or you can download artwork from the internet, etc. Note that just changing artwork on your computer won't affect the iPod until you sync.
If the artwork is correct on your computer iTunes then delete all the music on your iPod by syncing with iTunes with no music selected. Then reload the music onto your iPod by again syncing with iTunes with all the music you want selected. -
How do I get my iTunes store to work? I have updated my iTunes to the latest version but every time I go to open it, it is just a blank white screen. No writing or anything. Help!?

I have 3 ipod touches. Just got a new one and set up an apple id for it. But when i use the ipod to go to store to make a purchace. It tells me to sign in, and brings up an Apple ID and ask for password. the problem is the Apple ID its bringing up is for my other Ipods. How do i change it to bring up my id i set up with That ipod. I never once put that id into the current ipod. Like i dont even know how it got there.
This is what yo have to do:
Go to Settings>iTunes and App Stores and sign out and sign in with the other account.
That is the only place.
Try signing out. Then
Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Then sign back in. -
for some reason , when i restore my iphone 4s to factory settings my headphones work when listening to music or youtube videos but when i backup my information onto it , it only comes out of one ear bud and i just got a new one from the apple store. my old iphone 4s audio jack was messed up but i just got a new one with my warranty , can anyone help me please.
It doesn't matter what it is in your backup that's causing the problem because you can not selectively restore things from your backup. It's all or nothing.
Set you phone up as a new device and start over. -
My computer was stolen, I just purchased a new one and I want to redownload my old purchases. Not all of my purchases are on my itouch. How do I get the other purchases back?
You can recover any purchased songs that are on iPods using the procedure here.
If this is not available, you can ask Apple to allow you to download your music again. Note that, first, they DO NOT HAVE TO DO THIS. Purchase of music from the iTunes store entitles you to one download of that item. Second, note that if Apple does allow you to download a second time, they have to pay royalties on each download, whether you pay for it or not. Last, if they allow it, please back up your purchases.
To request a redownload, contact iTunes support from the menus in iTunes or use this page.

Whenever I try to update any apps or download a new one I get the following error message "unable to connect to iTunes". I have reset my iPad and router and also done the same with my iPod but get the same issue.....need some support please?
There are a number of threads from other people reporting the same iTunes connection issue, it looks like there might be a problem at Apple's end - but you could try logging out of your account on the iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if it then works, but it probably won't until Apple's fixed it
